Successful breastfeeding is a crucial factor in ensuring maternal and infant health, yet many postpartum mothers experience obstacles in optimally breastfeeding. One factor that plays a significant role in successful breastfeeding is family support and involvement. Families, particularly husbands and immediate family members, play a strategic role in providing the emotional, informational, and instrumental support mothers need during the postpartum period. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family roles and successful breastfeeding in postpartum mothers at TPMB Bdn. Neneng Banjarmasin. This study employed an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 35 postpartum mothers with infants aged 0–6 months selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire to measure family roles and successful breastfeeding, including aspects of early breastfeeding initiation, breastfeeding frequency, maternal comfort, and sustainability of breastfeeding practices. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-square test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed that most respondents received good family support and that the majority of postpartum mothers experienced successful breastfeeding. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between family roles and breastfeeding success. In conclusion, family roles are significantly associated with breastfeeding success in postpartum mothers. This finding underscores the importance of a family-centered midwifery care approach in supporting breastfeeding success in community midwifery practice.

Gender equality in the religious sphere in Indonesia is a complex phenomenon, shaped by the interaction between theological doctrines, institutional practices, and the socio-cultural context of each tradition. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach through literature review to analyze six major religions in Indonesia: Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, Hindu Dharma, Buddhism, and Confucianism. The analysis focuses on three main dimensions: theological perspectives regarding gender roles and positions, social changes influencing gender relations, and transformations in institutional structures and practices that support gender equality. The findings indicate that historically, women were often placed in subordinate positions due to patriarchal norms, although the core teachings of these religions contain egalitarian principles and recognition of women’s dignity. Contemporary transformations are reflected in the reinterpretation of religious texts and practices that promote gender equality: Catholicism emphasizes the recognition of women’s dignity within the clerical hierarchy; Protestantism opens opportunities for the ordination of female pastors; Islam reinterprets the principles of Qawwamun and family law rights; Balinese Hindu Dharma adjusts women’s roles in rituals and public spheres; Buddhism revives the bhikkhuni order within the sangha; and Confucianism modernizes the interpretation of Wu Lun and San Cong to emphasize mutual responsibilities between husband and wife. In conclusion, despite persistent patriarchal challenges, this study affirms that religion has the potential to act as an agent of social transformation promoting gender equality while maintaining the moral, spiritual, and traditional values distinctive to each tradition. These findings contribute significantly to academic literature, interfaith dialogue, and the development of more gender-inclusive policies.

The birth facilities and birth attendants are directly linked to maternal mortality. It has been demonstrated that births attended by healthcare professionals help lower the risk of maternal mortality. Traditional birth attendants and non-health personnel have a very restricted understanding of physiology and pathology, which leads to issues with delivery help, which are the primary reasons for high rates of maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity. The significance of family support for selecting a birth attendant. At the Benao Community Health Center, this research sought to determine the link between husband support and the choice of birthplace among pregnant women in their third trimester. This study employed a descriptive analytical design with a cross-sectional methodology, which is a study to establish the existence of two relationships or a number of variables. In the meantime, the sampling method employed complete sampling, which resulted in a sample size of 30 individuals. In this study, a questionnaire was employed as the instrument. The data was then analyzed with SPSS using Chi Square analysis. After using the chi-square statistical test, a P-value (asymp. Sig 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 was found, indicating a correlation between the location of delivery chosen by pregnant women in their third trimester and the support of their spouses. As a result, since H0 was disproved and H1 was proven, it may be inferred that there is a link between a pregnant woman's choice of delivery location in her third trimester and the support she receives from her spouse.

Administrative services for civil servants (ASN) play a crucial role in ensuring the rights and obligations of government employees. One of these services is the submission process for the Wife Card (KARIS) and Husband Card (KARSU), which serve as official proof of marital status for civil servants. At the BKPSDM of Sumba Barat Daya, the current submission process for KARIS and KARSU is still carried out manually by filling out paper forms and attaching physical documents. This manual method is time-consuming, prone to data errors, and complicates the monitoring process. Therefore, this study aims to develop a digital information system to simplify the submission, verification, and issuance process of KARIS and KARSU online. This research applies a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Waterfall model, consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation stages. The system is developed using the Python (Streamlit) programming framework and a SQLite3 database, designed to be easily accessible to both ASN users and BKPSDM officers through local networks or the internet. The results show that the developed system successfully reduces processing time by up to 60%, improves data accuracy by 90%, and significantly decreases the use of physical documents. The implementation of this digital information system makes the KARIS and KARSU administrative service more efficient, transparent, and accountable, supporting the ongoing digital transformation within the local government of Sumba Barat Daya Regency.

Exclusive breastfeeding (ASI) is the provision of only breast milk to infants for the first six months without additional food or drink, including water. Breast milk has important benefits in improving infant health, growth, and survival. However, the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia, including in the Pasar Health Center in Prabumulih City, has not yet reached the national target of 80%. One factor influencing the success of exclusive breastfeeding is husband's support. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between husband's support and exclusive breastfeeding. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample size was 49 mothers with infants aged 7–12 months. The study was conducted in the Pasar Health Center in May 2025. The results showed that 28 infants (57.1%) received exclusive breastfeeding, and 30 mothers (61.2%) reported receiving support from their husbands. Statistical tests using the chi-square test showed a significant relationship between husband's support and exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.000). These findings indicate that husband's support plays an important role in successful breastfeeding. This research suggests that involving husbands in breastfeeding education and support is highly recommended to increase the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in the community.

Family planning represents a community-based effort to promote awareness and participation through delaying the age of marriage, regulating births, strengthening family resilience, and improving family welfare to achieve small, joyful, and prosperous families (Suriana et al., 2021). The government targets Couples of Reproductive Age (CRA) to reduce population growth in Indonesia, as CRA consists of legally married couples who actively engage in sexual relations that may result in pregnancy. In addition to CRA, postpartum mothers also serve as a key target group in family planning programs. The “Four Too” components contribute to high-risk pregnancies that may lead to complications during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, and maternal and infant mortality. These include being too young (under 20 years), too old (over 35 years), too many children (more than four), and too close birth spacing (less than two years) (Oktarina, 2022). This study employed a quantitative research design, specifically an analytical quantitative approach with a correlational design using the cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of 40 participants. The results show that 45% of respondents had a satisfactory level of knowledge about IUD contraception, 32.5% had a moderate level, and 22.5% had a low level of knowledge. In nursing practice, increasing knowledge about contraception—particularly IUD family planning—can enhance interest in its use. Moreover, the study recommends that husbands provide support for mothers in using IUD contraception.

Boyolali is known as a milk-producing city, which makes animal husbandry one of the biggest options for economic activity. Limited forage resources are one of the problems faced by breeders. This activity aims to provide fermentation training using dry leaves as an alternative animal feed. The method used is to collect dry leaves from local resources in Sumbung Village, followed by training on the fermentation process using probiotic bacteria, which has been proven to be effective in increasing the nutritional value of feed. Fermented dry leaves have an aroma and taste that livestock like, thereby increasing feed consumption. Utilizing fermented dried leaves as animal feed can be a sustainable solution for overcoming limited food sources in Sumbung Village. Apart from providing a higher-quality alternative feed, this research can also support efforts to manage dry leaf waste and encourage environmental sustainability.

This study examines how women construct their social roles in managing dual responsibilities and maintaining work life balance through participation in the Women’s Cycling Community (WCC) Bandung. Using the social construction theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann, which includes objectivation, externalization, and internalization, this research applies a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The key informants were members of WCC Bandung, while supporting informants included husbands, children, and a psychologist. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with validity tested through triangulation and member checking. The findings show that women do not perceive dual roles as a burden but as an integral part of their identities. Family support, effective communication, and the presence of community are crucial in developing time management strategies and maintaining balance between domestic and professional responsibilities. The study also reveals that involvement in WCC Bandung provides women with a platform to express themselves, build solidarity, and gain emotional support from peers who share similar challenges. Cycling activities are not only a hobby but also serve as a medium for stress release, physical health improvement, and social networking. The study concludes that participation in WCC Bandung helps women construct an empowered, flexible, and harmonious self-identity through social support and a positive community environment, ultimately shaping a more holistic understanding of work life balance in their everyday lives.

Badung Market, as one of the largest traditional markets in Denpasar City, serves as a central hub of economic activity and sustains the livelihood of a substantial number of women traders. The presence of women in this sector is not only a reflection of their economic role but also of their contribution to household welfare and community development. This study aims to analyze the influence of education, income, dependents, and age on women’s decisions to work as traders in Pasar Badung. Employing a quantitative approach with an associative design, the research involved 88 respondents selected through purposive sampling from a total population of 768 female traders. Data collection methods included questionnaires, direct observation, and interviews, while data analysis utilized multiple linear regression preceded by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests to ensure robustness. The results indicate that, simultaneously, all independent variables significantly affect women’s decision to engage in trading activities. Partially, education, dependents, and age show a significant positive effect, suggesting that higher educational attainment, greater family responsibilities, and maturity increase women’s participation in trading. In contrast, husband’s income exerts a significant negative effect, implying that higher spousal earnings reduce the economic pressure for women to seek income through market trading. These findings highlight that economic necessity, household responsibilities, and social roles remain the primary motivators for women’s active involvement in traditional market activities. The implications of this study are relevant for policymakers and local governments, particularly in designing targeted empowerment programs, skills training, and economic support mechanisms to enhance women’s entrepreneurial capacity in traditional markets. Strengthening women’s roles in this sector is crucial not only for family welfare but also for broader community resilience and local economic growth.

Maternal anxiety during the childbirth process is a common psychological condition that can potentially increase the risk of complications, prolong labor, and reduce the likelihood of a positive birthing experience. High anxiety levels in mothers may interfere with the effectiveness of labor, impact maternal and fetal well-being, and lead to increased medical interventions. One of the most important support systems during labor is the presence and active involvement of the husband. The husband’s role is not only limited to being present but also includes providing emotional, physical, and motivational support to the mother. Recognizing the importance of this role, this community service program was designed to enhance husbands’ understanding and skills in supporting their wives during childbirth, thereby helping to reduce maternal anxiety. The program consisted of several stages, including the delivery of structured health education sessions on maternal needs during labor, demonstrations of effective communication techniques, simulations of support during different stages of childbirth, and interactive discussions to address questions and share experiences. Through these activities, participants were encouraged to build empathy, strengthen their knowledge about labor, and develop the confidence to assist their wives effectively. The results of the program indicated a noticeable improvement in the husbands’ awareness of the importance of their role, as well as increased confidence in providing both emotional reassurance and physical assistance. Participants reported feeling better prepared to accompany their wives, manage unexpected situations, and foster a more supportive environment during childbirth. This initiative highlights the significant impact that targeted education and training for husbands can have on maternal psychological well-being, ultimately contributing to safer and more positive birth experiences.

Antenatal Care (ANC) is an essential component of maternal health services that plays a vital role in maintaining the health of the mother and fetus during pregnancy and delivery. In Indonesia, coverage of ANC services K1 has reached 100%, but coverage of K4 has only reached 78% and has not met the national target. A case study in Sidenreng Rappang Regency showed better results with K1 coverage of 98% and K4 reaching 97%, although there is still room for improvement. This quantitative study with a cross-sectional design aims to analyze the relationship between maternal knowledge, attitudes, and husband's support factors on the utilization of ANC services at the Compong Village Health Post. The study population included 190 mothers with toddlers registered at the Compong Village Health Post. Sampling was carried out using the Slovin formula with a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error, resulting in 127 respondents as the research sample. The data collection method was carried out through a structured questionnaire containing questions about respondent characteristics, level of knowledge, attitudes towards ANC, and level of husband's support. Data analysis used the Chi-Square statistical test with a significance level of p<0.05 to determine the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The results revealed several important findings. First, there was a significant relationship (p=0.002) between maternal knowledge and utilization of ANC services. Second, maternal attitudes also showed a significant relationship (p=0.001) with the frequency of ANC visits. Third, husband's support was shown to have a significant influence (p=0.003) on maternal participation in ANC programs. These findings confirm the multifactorial role in determining ANC service utilization. Practical implications of this study include recommendations for improving health education programs that not only target pregnant women but also actively involve husbands.

Pregnancy is a critical phase in a woman's life that demands comprehensive support from her closest environment, especially from her husband. This study aims to describe the role of husbands in accompanying their wives during pregnancy, identify factors that influence the level of involvement, and understand the impact on the physical and psychological health of pregnant women. The research approach used was qualitative with the type of phenomenological study, which was conducted in Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan. The main informants consisted of purposively selected pregnant women and postpartum mothers, complemented by triangulation from husbands, health workers, and community leaders. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The results showed that husbands' assistance included involvement in pregnancy check-ups, assistance with household chores, provision of financial and emotional support, and roles in preparing for childbirth. However, this involvement was influenced by the husband's knowledge, culture, communication, and working conditions. Intact support from husbands was shown to have a positive impact on pregnant women's sense of comfort, confidence, mental readiness, and physical health. This study emphasizes the importance of holistic involvement of husbands in the pregnancy process and the need for a family and culture-based approach in preparing for childbirth.
