This study aims to analyze the implementation of the fulfillment of socio-economic rights of the community in Rote Ndao Regency, as one of the underdeveloped regions in Indonesia, and to identify the obstacles faced by the local government in its efforts to fulfill them. Socio-economic rights, such as access to education, health, employment, and public services, are part of the human rights guaranteed by the constitution. However, their implementation often encounters various obstacles in areas with less developed socio-economic conditions. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document studies, and field observations. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of socio-economic rights in Rote Ndao Regency is still not optimal. This can be seen from the low level of community access to educational facilities, health services, and basic infrastructure. On the other hand, the local government faces a number of significant obstacles, such as budget constraints, lack of adequate infrastructure, low quality of human resources, geographical barriers, and weak coordination between agencies. As a solution, this study recommends increasing budget allocations for priority sectors, developing basic infrastructure, improving the quality of human resources through education and training, and strengthening cross-sectoral coordination. In addition, active community involvement in the planning and implementation of development programs is also very important to improve the effectiveness of policies. The results of this study are expected to contribute to local governments and other stakeholders in formulating more effective strategies to accelerate the fulfillment of people's socio-economic rights, while improving the quality of life in Rote Ndao Regency.

The practice of dentists in Indonesia is an important concern in the health care system, especially regarding consumer protection. Dentists often provide services that exceed the limits of their authority, potentially endangering public health. This article aims to analyze the urgency of legal protection for consumers of health services in dental practices based on a normative perspective and the implementation of applicable regulations. This research uses normative juridical methods with statutory, conceptual and case approaches. The research results show that even though there are regulations such as Law no. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Minister of Health Regulation no. 39 of 2014, implementation is still less effective. This is caused by weak supervision, minimal public knowledge regarding consumer rights, and non-compliance by some dentists with regulations. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen regulations, increase supervision by the government, and educate the public to realize optimal legal protection for consumers of health services.

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus, which many elderly suffer from, are a significant problem in Indonesia because they pose a risk of serious complications and even death. At the Olak Kemang Community Health Center, the incidence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the elderly has increased. However, the scope of elderly people's active participation in various hypertension and diabetes mellitus management programs is still low. Based on the results of the team's research and initial observations, it is known that the main cause of this problem is a lack of family support and limited knowledge about the efforts that families must make in managing illnesses in the elderly. This situation indicates weak family functioning which has an impact on health. This community service activity aims to strengthen family functions and self-care behavior for elderly people with hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the work area of the Olak Kemang Community Health Center through the implementation of Posdaya (Family Empowerment Post). Posdaya activities include counseling about family functions, developing family skills to manage hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the elderly, as well as assisting families to be able to access various application-based health services for the elderly and families. The activity was attended by 20 elderly people and their families. The results of the activity showed that 80% of participants experienced increased knowledge. In addition, participants provided statements of attitude to improve family function and implement self-care behavior for elderly people with hypertension and diabetes mellitus.

This study analyzes the evaluation of stunting reduction policies in Kuantan Singingi Regency, Indonesia, using William N. Dunn's policy evaluation theory. Stunting is a serious nutritional problem that impacts children's growth and development, especially in the first 1000 days of life. Although there has been a decrease in stunting prevalence in Riau Province, Kuantan Singingi Regency experienced an increase in stunting rates from 17.8% in 2022 to 23% in 2023, making it the highest in the province. The evaluation was conducted based on five criteria: effectiveness, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. The results showed that despite significant efforts in policy implementation, the target for reducing stunting prevalence has not been achieved, with communication between officers and the community still lacking. There is a shortage of skilled personnel and funds, and unequal access to health services. The policy provides a clear framework, but information about the program is still lacking in the community. The assumptions underlying the policy are quite strong, and positive impacts are starting to be seen, but challenges such as lack of training for officers remain. Overall, despite progress, there are still many challenges that need to be addressed to achieve the goal of reducing stunting effectively.

Pesantren, as the oldest Islamic educational institutions, face complex challenges in environmental health management, primarily due to high residential density, limited sanitation infrastructure, and varying practices of Healthy and Clean Living Behaviors (PHBS). Although the religious concept of taharah (purity) serves as a foundation for cleanliness, there is a lack of in-depth research examining the integration of religious values, infrastructure conditions, and management systems in shaping the daily hygiene experiences of santri (students). This study aims to explore the santri's experience regarding environmental health management in pesantren, focusing on the integration of hygiene, sanitation, and Islamic religious values, while also identifying factors and challenges related to PHBS practices. This qualitative research, utilizing a descriptive phenomenology design, collected data through in-depth interviews with three female santri informants (with 8–9 years of boarding experience). Data analysis was conducted using the six-phase thematic analysis method by Braun & Clarke (2006).The study identified five main themes: (1) Infrastructure is quantitatively adequate but faces operational issues (queues, seasonal clean water scarcity); (2) PHBS practices show positive behavioral changes (self-reliance) but waste management remains traditional; (3) The religious value of taharah acts as a strong intrinsic motivation; (4) The management system involves multi-level roles (kiai-ustaz-administrators) that face consistency challenges; and (5) Main obstacles include limited facilities, varying levels of santri awareness, and disparity in educational programs. Poskestren (Pesantren Health Post) represents an institutional effort to provide basic health services.Environmental health management in pesantren requires a holistic approach, integrating infrastructure improvement and sustainable waste management systems, alongside developing education that unites Islamic religious values with modern health knowledge. Optimizing the religious strategy and strengthening national monitoring/standardization systems are key to program sustainability.
