Elderly people have a high risk of suffering from degenerative diseases, one of which is metabolic disorders. This is more widely recognized by the elderly when they are already in severe condition and with complications so that it has an impact on various aspects including increasing morbidity and mortality rates, as well as decreasing quality of life of the elderly and decreasing ability of the elderly to carry out daily activities. Metabolic disorders are caused by increased blood glucose levels in the body known as Diabetes Mellitus (DM) which is one of the health problems of the ten diseases that cause death and disability globally. The implementation of community service activities for Preventive Efforts for the Elderly in Diabetes Mellitus through several stages, namely the survey and field observation stages and counseling for Preventive Efforts for the Elderly in Diabetes Mellitus counseling is carried out for approximately 90 minutes, as well as evaluations in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. The provision of education was carried out on Wednesday, November 14, 2024 at the Antara Health Center, the number of participants was 32 people. Based on the results of the knowledge of the elderly before and after the counseling for Preventive Efforts for the Elderly in Diabetes Mellitus, it was found that 15 elderly people had sufficient knowledge and 17 elderly people had insufficient knowledge. After conducting counseling on Preventive Efforts for the Elderly in Diabetes Mellitus, the results obtained were a sufficient increase of 30 and less than 2 elderly. This means that community service on Preventive Efforts for the Elderly in Diabetes Mellitus is very effective in the elderly in order to prevent an increase in glucose levels. Counseling on preventive efforts for the elderly in diabetes regarding these degenerative diseases is very necessary so that the elderly maintain their health better. The elderly are expected to be able to understand about efforts to prevent and treat degenerative diseases in the elderly with diabetes. Hopefully this community service can be a reference for researchers and further community service, as well as the community.

Background The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that the number of fever cases in children reaches 62%. Management of fever can be in the form of non-pharmacological therapy. One non-pharmacological therapy for fever is to apply a compress using aloe vera. Aloe vera contains lignin and saponin which can vasodilate the skin and reduce body temperature. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of information and actions on giving aloe vera compresses on reducing body temperature in children with fever at the Nassau Kec.Nassau Kab.Toba Tahun 2024. This research is a type of quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-test and post-test design without control with subjects of 30 children aged 3 – 6 years who had a fever at the nassau public health center, nasaau district, toba regency in 2024. Community Health Center. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling, namely a sampling technique when all members of the population are used as samples. The intervention carried out was applying compressaloe vera to the forehead for 15 minutes. Temperature measurement using a digital thermometer. The data analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis. The test used is the non-parametric Wilcoxon test. The results of this research, namely the results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test stated that giving aloe vera compresses had an effect on changes in body temperature in fever sufferers with a p value = 0.002 (α < 0.005) with a temperature decrease of 0.486 ºC. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence on the results of measuring body temperature before and after giving aloe vera compresses to children who have fever at  the nassau public health center, nasaau district, toba regency in 2024.

Cross-sectional methods. The study sample comprised 49 individuals selected by purposive sampling. A questionnaire was employed as the study instrument. The gathered data was analyzed with the SPSS 16.0 software employing the Chi Square statistical test at a significance level (α) of <0.05. The results indicated that the predominant age group was 56-65 years, including 27 respondents, which represents 55.1%. The majority of respondents were female, totaling 39 individuals, accounting for 79.6%. The most common educational attainment was high school, with 22 respondents, corresponding to 44.9%. The statistical test yielded a P value of 0.0001, which is less than the alpha value (α) of ≤0.05. This study concludes that a correlation exists between family support and self-care management in hypertension patients at Tuminting Health Center. The findings of this study are anticipated to serve as a resource for individuals with hypertension, emphasizing the importance of self-care management to prevent problems and facilitate recovery.

Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease induced by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis and can attack human organs, especially the lungs. The entry of this antigen causes the release of various pro-inflammatory cytokines which cause liver cells to synthesize acute phase proteins such as C-Reactive Protein (CRP). C-Reactive Protein is a type of alpha globulin protein that appears in the blood in response to inflammation in the body. The aim of this study was to determine the description of CRP in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Naibonat Community Health Center. The method used is descriptive with a cross sectional study design method. This research was carried out at the Naibonat Health Center Laboratory, Kupang Regency from February to April 2024. The examination method used was the qualitative latex agglutination method. The results of CRP examination on pulmonary TB patients from a total of 23 respondents obtained reactive results for 8 samples (35%) and non-reactive results for 15 samples (65%). Based on the results of reactive CRP, the highest number was found in males, 6 people (26%), while the highest number was found in the age range 12-25 years, 4 patients (Teenagers) (17%), with the highest length of treatment at 0 -2 months (intensive stage) as many as 6 patients (35%), with the highest patient status being new TB as many as 8 patients (35%), with the highest treatment status being non-resistant as many as 6 patients (26%).

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus, which many elderly suffer from, are a significant problem in Indonesia because they pose a risk of serious complications and even death. At the Olak Kemang Community Health Center, the incidence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the elderly has increased. However, the scope of elderly people's active participation in various hypertension and diabetes mellitus management programs is still low. Based on the results of the team's research and initial observations, it is known that the main cause of this problem is a lack of family support and limited knowledge about the efforts that families must make in managing illnesses in the elderly. This situation indicates weak family functioning which has an impact on health. This community service activity aims to strengthen family functions and self-care behavior for elderly people with hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the work area of the Olak Kemang Community Health Center through the implementation of Posdaya (Family Empowerment Post). Posdaya activities include counseling about family functions, developing family skills to manage hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the elderly, as well as assisting families to be able to access various application-based health services for the elderly and families. The activity was attended by 20 elderly people and their families. The results of the activity showed that 80% of participants experienced increased knowledge. In addition, participants provided statements of attitude to improve family function and implement self-care behavior for elderly people with hypertension and diabetes mellitus.
