Indonesia is an archipelagic country that has abundant mineral wealth, both metal minerals and other minerals. Metal minerals, including gold, tend to have a higher economic value. Based on data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the world's gold reserves in 2020 were 50,300 tons of Au. Indonesia is among the 5 largest in the world with 5% of the total gold reserves, which is 2,600 tons of Au. Therefore, it is necessary to develop technology and science in the mining industry, especially gold and silver, to improve the optimization of the process and increase the added value of the mining products themselves. One of the gold extraction processes can be done hydrometallurgically with the cyanidation method using a intensive leach test. The results of this experiment show that factors such as cyanide usage and ultra fine particle size will greatly affect the recovery of gold and silver metals.

This study conducts a pragmatic analysis of the dialogue between characters in Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea," utilizing Grice's Cooperative Principle as a theoretical framework. By examining the interactions between Santiago and Manolin, the research highlights how conversational maxims: Quality, Quantity, Relation, and Manner shape their communication. The analysis reveals that while both characters generally adhere to these principles, occasional deviations occur, reflecting their emotional connections and the complexities of their relationship. This investigation not only enhances understanding of the characters' dynamics but also underscores the broader implications of pragmatic theory in literary dialogue. Ultimately, the findings demonstrate that effective communication transcends mere information exchange, emphasizing the importance of fostering relationships and emotional understanding in human interactions.

Tofu is a traditional food popular in Indonesia due to its delicious taste, affordability, and high nutritional content. However, tofu production in Indonesia is still dominated by simple technology, leading to low efficiency and less competitive selling prices. Product diversification efforts are needed to increase added value, such as processing raw tofu into tofu crackers. This Community Service activity aims to develop entrepreneurship among students of the Agribusiness Management Study Program at Jember State Polytechnic, particularly in the production of tofu crackers. The methods used include providing entrepreneurship materials, training in tofu cracker production, and conducting discussions and evaluations of the results. The activity outcomes indicated a shift in students' mindsets from job seekers to job creators, accompanied by high motivation for entrepreneurship. Students also learned tofu cracker production techniques, starting from material grinding, mixing, steaming, to frying, resulting in a nutritious, crispy product that meets consumer preferences. The feasibility analysis of the tofu cracker business showed profitable results, as seen from the indicators of BEP (unit), BEP (price), R/C Ratio, and ROI. This activity successfully enhanced students' skills, motivation, and knowledge while opening potential business opportunities for the surrounding community. It is hoped that the outcomes of this community service will benefit the community and MSME actors.

This study aims to analyze the role of smart technology in achieving sustainable cities through the implementation of the smart city concept. Using a qualitative approach based on library research, the study explores the relationship between smart technology and urban sustainability, encompassing three main pillars: governance, energy efficiency and environmental management, and social inclusivity. The findings reveal that smart technology enhances transparency and efficiency in governance through e-governance and digital applications, fosters multi-stakeholder collaboration via collaborative governance, and improves government responsiveness to public needs. In the environmental aspect, the implementation of smart technologies such as smart grids and smart sensors significantly contributes to more efficient energy management and carbon emission reductions. Moreover, technology-based waste management demonstrates great potential in supporting urban environmental sustainability. On the social dimension, smart technology must ensure inclusivity by addressing vulnerable groups and bridging the digital divide, where digital literacy and community empowerment play a crucial role in creating sustainable social impacts. However, implementation challenges such as infrastructure gaps, limited budgets, and human resource readiness remain barriers that need to be addressed. This study highlights the importance of integrative and collaborative approaches in smart city implementation, alongside strong strategic policy support to maximize the potential of smart technologies in achieving sustainable development. With the right approach, smart cities can serve as a strategic solution to urbanization complexities and improve the quality of life for future generations.

Elderly will experience changes in body composition which will affect the Waist to Hip Ratio (WHR) and have an impact on blood pressure. Hypertension is often found in the elderly in Indonesia. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship and differences in WHR and body composition between hypertensive and non-hypertensive elderly. The design used in this research is case control. The population of this study included all elderly people in the Griya Werdha Jambangan Surabaya Regional Technical Implementation Unit (RTIU) with a total sample of 76 elderly people consisting of 38 hypertensive and 38 non-hypertensive. The results of the research were the relationship between getting WHR, fat mass, muscle mass (p = 0,000), bone mass (p = 0,026), and fluid mass (p = 0,049). The results of the study were differences in WHR, fat mass, muscle mass, bone mass (p = 0,000), and fluid mass (p = 0,001). The odds ratio (OR) value shows that elderly people with obesity WHR have a risk of 27,4, more fat mass and muscle mass below normal have a risk of 24,4, bone mass below normal has a risk of 5,8, and less fluid mass has a risk of 5,1 times developing hypertension. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between WHR and body composition and hypertension, and there are differences in WHR and body composition values between hypertensive and non-hypertensive elderly.
