The rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) has driven numerous innovations in wireless communications that not only demand technical efficiency but also raise philosophical questions about the nature of scientific knowledge. One such innovation is Physical Layer Network Coding (PLNC), a communication technique that utilizes signal interference as a source of information to enhance system performance. This paper examines the philosophical dimensions of science within PLNC, focusing on three fundamental aspects: ontology, epistemology, and axiology. Ontologically, PLNC represents a new paradigm in wireless communication that reinterprets interference not merely as noise but as an opportunity. Epistemologically, knowledge of PLNC is derived through scientific methods such as mathematical modeling, experimentation, and simulation—yielding intersubjective and verifiable truths. Axiologically, PLNC holds practical value in terms of energy efficiency, data reliability, and contributions to the sustainability of IoT ecosystems, while also raising ethical considerations regarding privacy and information security. Thus, this study demonstrates that the development of PLNC cannot be separated from philosophical reflection, emphasizing the profound interconnection between technological advancement, scientific methodology, and human values.

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning methods, assessment systems, and learning evaluation in the Philosophy of Science course at STAI Al-Andina Sukabumi, particularly for first-semester students. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the course lecturer to explore the rationale for selecting the lecture method, assessment practices, and evaluation strategies applied in the learning process. The findings indicate that the lecture method combined with guided discussion was chosen as an adaptive strategy to help students develop a conceptual foundation for abstract and theoretical material. The assessment system places greater emphasis on student attendance and participation as a form of process-oriented assessment that encourages active engagement. Learning evaluation is conducted continuously through technology-based quizzes to monitor students’ understanding progressively. These results suggest that the Philosophy of Science learning process at STAI Al-Andina has adopted a contextual and formative pedagogical approach; however, further development of more varied assessment and evaluation methods is still needed to accommodate students’ diverse abilities.

This study discusses the opportunities for the development of Islamic education from the perspective of solutions offered by the philosophy of science in the era of technological advancement. Islamic educational institutions are confronted with complex problems that cannot always be resolved independently. The philosophy of science offers several solutions on how to address the challenges commonly faced by educational institutions. Often, educational institutions focus excessively on analyzing the challenges or problems they encounter, whereas there are other aspects that can be utilized as supporting factors for the development of Islamic education, namely by examining existing opportunities and implementing them effectively. This research employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach, complemented by case study analysis across various educational institutions. Many Islamic educational institutions, both formal and non-formal, have utilized opportunities as a primary strategy for developing Islamic education. Various solutions are proposed, including curriculum integration, strengthening institutional organizational structures, improving human resources as well as facilities and infrastructure, and presenting innovative ideas implemented by institutions in developing Islamic education.

Moral : Jurnal kajian Pendidikan Islam 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Pendidikan Agama dan Filsafat Indonesia

The development of modern education requires a strong philosophical foundation to ensure that learning processes are not merely technical but oriented toward holistic human formation. This article aims to comprehensively analyze the role of the philosophy of science within contemporary education through a conceptual exploration grounded in an extensive literature review. The philosophy of science with its three major pillars: ontology, epistemology, and axiology serves as an analytical framework for understanding the nature of human beings, the structure of knowledge, and the values embedded within educational objectives. The research methodology employs the Miles and Huberman data analysis model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate that the philosophy of science plays a strategic role in providing direction and orientation for the development of humanistic, adaptive, and globally responsive education. Moreover, this study reveals that the advancement of scientific knowledge encounters significant challenges, including ontological complexity, epistemological crises driven by digital disruption, moral degradation, and shifting scientific paradigms. In the age of artificial intelligence and globalization, the philosophy of science emerges as an ethical and methodological compass to ensure that scientific progress remains aligned with human welfare. This study underscores the urgency of reconstructing educational paradigms by integrating humanistic values, local wisdom, and modern scientific thought to realize a future of science that is ethical, sustainable, and dignified.

This study aims to find out more specifically about the goals and functions of philosophy in the development of science. This study uses a qualitative approach to the SLR (systematic literature review) method. Literature sources are taken from the Google Scholar database of journals and books. The results of this study are the philosophy of science as an explanation of the existence of science against other sciences that require knowledge as a medium for scientific thinking. Philosophy aims to encourage scientists to study scientific developments. The philosophy of science must be integrated with the development of science in order to realize the function of science, especially moral and intellectual aspects. This is because science is independent or neutral and does not mean good or bad, the development of science also develops the philosophy of science, because the philosophy of science has a role as a manifestation of good scientific ethics. The philosophy of science is very crucial in elaborating on educational values in general and specifically in education, both ontologically, epistemologically, axiologically and anthropologically.

The development of responsible knowledge requires a strong moral foundation, one of which is through the application of akhlakul karimah (noble character). Good, noble, and commendable ethics play a crucial role in creating knowledge that is not only practically beneficial but also has a positive impact on humanity and the environment. The main issue addressed in this study is how akhlakul karimah can shape the behavior of scientists in developing ethical knowledge and how it contributes to the construction of responsible science. This research employs a library research approach. The findings indicate that akhlakul karimah is essential in guiding scientists to uphold integrity, honesty, and social responsibility in research and the application of knowledge. Scientists with noble character do not only prioritize technological advancements but also consider the balance between material progress and the moral and spiritual quality of human life. Thus, akhlakul karimah plays a vital role in ensuring that scientific development remains responsible and contributes positively to humanity and environmental sustainability.

Of course, all the changes and developments that occur in the educational curriculum cannot be separated from the results of several studies on how the implementation of this independent curriculum can overcome learning loss, the effects of the Covid pandemic plus the global challenges of change from era 4.0 to Society 5.0, which has the impact that today's generation needs. have the ability to think critically, creatively and innovatively. In the independent curriculum, it can be seen that the superiority of its characteristics is that the material is simpler and more in-depth and there is a significant reduction in material. The materials presented are limited to essential material. Reducing material provides an opportunity for students to explore the material more comprehensively. Next is more independence, which means that in an independent curriculum, students are given more freedom to choose the subjects they are interested in according to their interests, talents, potential and aspirations. Meanwhile, teachers can teach according to the stages of student achievement and development. So it is more relevant and interactive.
