This study is based on the need to develop a more effective concentrate ration for lactating dairy cows, as existing formulations in the field are greatly influenced by the availability of ingredients and varying quality. Therefore, this study focuses on optimizing concentrate in dairy cow feed rations to meet SNI standards, which include crude protein (CP), Total Digestible Nutrients (TDN), Calcium (Ca), and Phosphorus (P), with more efficient results in terms of price and nutrition. This study uses the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) metaheuristic approach, which balances the exploration and exploitation processes in finding the best solution to optimization problems. This algorithm has fewer parameters than other metaheuristics such as GA, PSO, and DE. WOA runs naturally in continuous space without the need for genetic operators such as crossover and mutation. The dataset used contains types of dairy cow feed ingredients along with nutritional requirements and prices so that researchers can process the data into efficient feed concentrate that is suitable for lactating dairy cows.

Mung bean sprout husk is waste with promising nutritive value (crude protein 14%, Total Digestible Nutrients 64.58%, moisture 63.35%) and, due to its high moisture, is suitable for processing via feed-wafer technology. This study aimed to evaluate the physical quality and identify the best storage duration of complete wafers formulated with mung bean sprout husk. A completely randomized design with four treatment levels (0%, 10%, 20%, 30%) and three replicates was used. Organoleptic traits were described descriptively, while physical traits density, water absorption, impact resistance, and wafer durability index (WDI) were analyzed by one-way ANOVA followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (α = 0.05). Supplementation of mung bean sprout husk significantly affected density and water absorption (P < 0.05), with the 30% treatment achieving the highest density (0.57 g·cm⁻³) and water absorption (83.0%), both superior to the control (P < 0.05). In contrast, impact resistance (99.1%) and WDI (85.8%) did not differ among treatments (P > 0.05). Overall, the 30% supplementation delivered the best physical quality and the best storage duration among the tested formulations.

Malnutrition is a condition in which the body does not receive enough essential nutrients, such as protein, vitamins, calories, and minerals, which causes various health problems, especially wasting and stunting, making it a serious concern in children. According to the Basic Health Research, the prevalence of malnourished children in Indonesia remained stable at 17.8% between 2016 and 2017 but decreased to 13.8% in 2018. This case study focuses on a 23-month-old girl from Kuala Keureuto Village, who was observed for three weeks through home visits in 2025. The diagnosis of malnutrition was made in accordance with national guidelines outlined in the Indonesian Minister of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2020, regarding child anthropometric standards. Anthropometric measurements showed that the child's height was 78.3 cm and her weight was 8.8 kg. Based on these measurements, her nutritional status was assessed as follows: A height/age Z-score between -2 and -3 SD indicates stunting, a weight/age Z-score between -2 and -3 SD indicates underweight, while a weight/age Z-score below -2 SD and a BMI/age Z-score below -2 SD are considered well-nourished. After confirming the diagnosis, the patient received nutrition education, supplemental feeding, appetite-stimulating supplements, and growth monitoring. In addition, analyses were conducted to identify factors influencing her condition, concluding that the malnutrition observed in this 23-month-old patient was influenced by parenting behavior, parental knowledge, medical history, incomplete immunizations, and environmental factors.

Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae, or maggots, are a type of insect currently widely cultivated, primarily for animal feed. This is because BSF larvae contain essential nutrients such as fat and protein in high amounts, thus improving the nutritional quality of livestock that consume them. Therefore, the processing and preservation of maggots is crucial to maintain their nutritional content and extend their shelf life. One method used in maggot processing is drying. Drying aims to reduce the water content in the larvae, thereby preventing the growth of microorganisms that cause spoilage. One widely applied technique is drying using a microwave oven. However, before the actual process is carried out, simulations are often required to determine the distribution of heat and humidity. Simulation is one of the most effective ways to predict the drying performance of biological materials. This study used a simulation using the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method operated by Comsol Multiphysics 6.2 software. The parameters used in the simulation were an initial maggot temperature of 80°C, a drying time of 15 minutes, and a heat source of 1300 W/m³. Based on the simulation results, the final water content of the maggots was below 10%. Furthermore, the final relative humidity of the maggots ranged from 10–35%, while the final temperature of the larvae increased to 93–97°C. These results indicate that microwave drying can effectively reduce moisture content while maintaining the nutritional quality of BSF larvae. These simulation results can be used as a basis for practical maggot drying processes, thus supporting the production of efficient and nutritious animal feed.

Feed is a key component in catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus) cultivation because it directly affects the growth rate, health, and productivity of the fish. Among the various nutrients contained in feed, protein plays a crucial role, particularly in the formation and repair of fish body tissues. Adequate protein content supports optimal growth, while protein deficiency can reduce productivity. Therefore, analyzing protein levels in feed is essential to ensure its quality. This study aimed to analyze protein levels in catfish feed using the Kjeldahl method. The analysis was conducted at the Pekanbaru Center for Standardization and Industrial Services (BSPJI). The Kjeldahl method was chosen because it is known to have a high level of accuracy and reliability. The procedure involves three main stages: destruction, distillation, and titration. The working principle of this method is to convert organic nitrogen in the sample into ammonia, which is then captured and measured to determine nitrogen levels, which are then converted to protein levels. In this study, five feed samples with codes U-139 to U-142 were used. The test results showed that the protein content of the samples ranged from 20.44% to 23.09%. Furthermore, a Relative Percent Difference (RPD) value of 0.0013% was obtained, indicating a very high level of measurement precision. The analysis results were then compared with the fish feed quality standards based on SNI 2534:2006, and it was found that all samples met the minimum protein content requirements. Thus, this study confirms the effective and accurate use of the Kjeldahl method in analyzing protein content in catfish feed. These results also provide important information for farmers and feed producers in ensuring the quality of feed used to support catfish farming productivity.

Vannamei shrimp is one of the shrimp species with economic value and is one of the national leading commodities. On the other hand, one of the problems in vannamei shrimp cultivation is its slow growth, slow growth is caused by the less optimal absorption of nutrients in the feed. In dealing with these problems, one of the things that is done is the administration of probiotics. The addition of probiotics such as Biolacto containing Lactobacillus sp bacteria to the feed can increase the appetite of shrimp. This study aims to determine the effect of biolacto probiotics on feed on the growth of the absolute weight of vannamei shrimp. This study used a Complete Random Design (RAL) with four treatments: A (feed without a mixture of probiotics), B (probiotics 2 gr/100 gr feed), C (probiotics 4 gr/100 gr feed), and D (probiotics 6 gr/100 gr feed). Treatment B with a concentration of probiotics 2gr/100g feed gave the highest absolute weight growth of 9.2 gr. Water quality data during the study were obtained with water temperature ranging from 28.5 – 29.2°Celsius, salinity ranging from 36 – 37 ppt, pH ranging from 7.5 – 8.0, and dissolved oxygen ranging from 4.0 to 4.63 mg/l. The results of the ANOVA analysis of the four water quality parameters showed no difference between treatments and were in the optimal range of life of vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei).

Fish waste and tempeh have significant nutritional advantages in making cat food. Some of the advantages that can be obtained from using these ingredients include the vegetable protein content in tempeh which is easier for cats to digest, making it very beneficial for cats with certain digestive sensitivities or allergies. Tempeh also contains essential amino acids that help meet the nutritional needs of cats, as well as support muscle growth and maintenance. Fish waste contains important nutrients such as 29.70% protein, 18.83% fat, 1.94% carbohydrates, 8.97% water content, and 1.07% crude fiber, which overall meet the nutritional needs of cats. In addition, the omega-3 fatty acid content in eggs is also useful for the health of the cat's skin and fur, making the food more nutritious. Tempeh is also known as first aid for cats with diarrhea, because the bacteria contained in tempeh can help neutralize harmful bacteria in the cat's intestines. By combining fish waste and tempeh in cat food, cats can get complete and balanced nutritional intake, while reducing feed production costs, making it a more environmentally friendly and economical choice.

Background:Supplemental Feeding (PMT) is an activity of providing food in the form of safe and quality snacks along with other supporting activities by considering aspects of food quality and safety. There are two types of supplementary feeding, namely supplementary recovery feeding and supplementary counseling (PMT). Supplemental feeding (PMT) of local food is one of the strategies for handling nutritional problems in toddlers. The PMT activity needs to be accompanied by nutrition and health education for behavioral change, for example with support for breastfeeding, education and counseling on feeding, cleanliness and sanitation for families. Nutritional status is a state of the body as a result of food consumption and use of nutrients, where nutrients are needed by the body as a source of energy, growth and maintenance of body tissues, and regulators of body processes. Nutritional status is greatly influenced by nutritional intake. Objective: To determine the effect of providing local supplementary feeding (PMT) on the nutritional status of toddlers aged 12-59 months. Method: This type of research uses quantitative research using a pre-experimental design pretest-posttest research design. Results: Based on the results of the study, it was shown that a p-value of 0.41 (> 0.05) was obtained. Conclusion: Provision of Local Supplementary Food (PMT) Has No Relationship with Toddler Nutritional Status at UPTD Siriwini Health Center. Suggestion: It is expected that mothers who have toddlers pay more attention to the growth and development of toddlers.

Leguminous plants are plants with high protein and nutrient content, especially the protein content. Leguminous plants can grow anywhere but these plants have not been widely utilised by farmers. Some information related to leguminous plants is expected to help farmers overcome feed in the dry season. The information was obtained by reading and analysing literature and data from various research libraries that have been published in accredited journals. Tree legumes include indigofera, lamtoro, turi, gamal, and kaliandra. Indigofera plants have a crude protein content of 29.16%, while lamtoro, turi, gamal, kaliandra and Moringa are 23.8%; 31.29%; 22.6%; 25%; and 25.77% respectively. The nutrient content is supported by high productivity, where the production of indigofera, lamtoro, turi, gamal, and kaliandra can reach 4.096 tonnesBK/ha/year; 8.1 tonnes/ha/year; 2-3 tonnes/ha/harvest; 62.76 tonnes/ha/year; and 2-3 tonnes/ha/year, respectively. Despite its potential as animal feed, the plant needs further processing to reduce the anti-nutrients contained and increase its palatability so that livestock productivity increases.

The complementary feeding of breast milk is additional food given to infants after the age of 6 months. Although breast milk is the best food for infants, after the age of >6 months, infants require more vitamins, minerals, proteins, and carbohydrates. The provision of complementary feeding aims to train and familiarize infants to consume foods that contain the nutrients needed by their bodies as they grow older. This community service activity uses a method of health education through providing information to the community about the importance of nutrition for children to prevent stunting, involving the roles of lecturers, health center officials, cadres, and students as responsible parties in community service. There were 17 mothers of toddlers who participated. With the implementation of community education at the integrated health service post (posyandu) regarding complementary feeding of breast milk for infants aged 6-8 months, the community gains a better understanding of the benefits of complementary feeding for infants aged 6-8 months.

Aquaponics is a combined system of fish farming techniques and hydroponic plant cultivation. Fish manure and feed residues are very dependent on the supply of nutrients in the aquaponic system of red tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) aquaculture. The level of production of vegetable crops in a certain area is also influenced by the total nutrient input ratio of feed to domestic fish per day. The aquaponic system utilizes optimum water supply for each commodity by utilizing a recirculation system. The type of fish used is fish that live in freshwater, a type of tilapia. Fish farming includes the maintenance of fish, which pays attention to the growth and development of fish. Hydroponics itself is a way of farming without using soil as a medium but using water which contains controlled nutrients containing the essential elements needed for plant growth. The location of this research was conducted in Losari Village, Kec. Gondang, Kab. sleepy. It aims to increase the demand for vegetables, limited land and space, efficiency in land use, and decoration. In addition, this cultivation system allows for increased production of cultivated products with limited land and water sources, and creates its own beauty. (9 pt).

Nutritional status is a state of balance between the intake of nutrients consumed and the nutrients needed by the body which can be measured and assessed by child anthropometry. One of the dominant factors and can affect the nutritional status of toddlers is the attitude and behavior of mothers who lack awareness of the importance of toddler nutrition. The relationship between maternal behavior in feeding with the nutritional status of toddlers in the working area of the Putri Ayu Health Center, Jambi City is known. This study included quantitative research using a cross sectional design. The number of samples was 105 samples. Using the Spearman Rho statistical test. The results showed good maternal behavior obtained (88.6%), poor maternal behavior obtained (11.4%). Nutritional status of toddlers with good nutrition was obtained (79.0%), overnutrition (5.7%), undernutrition (8.5%) and poor nutrition was obtained (6.7%). The results of the Spearman Rho statistical test obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.587. The results showed that there was a relationship between maternal behavior in feeding with the nutritional status of toddlers in the Working Area of the Putri Ayu Health Center in Jambi City because the majority of respondents had good education and economic levels. It is expected that the community will increase their literacy from various sources related to toddler nutrition, especially for mothers who have toddlers to increase knowledge. The more public knowledge of the nutritional status of toddlers increases, the better the behavior of mothers in toddlers will be and the nutritional status of toddlers will increase.

fulfillment of nutrition. At the age of toddlers often children experience bad behavior. One of the problems that are often experienced is the difficulty of feeding children which directly interferes with the child's growth and development. Non-pharmacological efforts that can be done include herbal drinks, massage, acupressure and acupuncture. The purpose of this study was the effect of Tui Na massage on eating behavior in toddlers in the Talise Community Health Center in Palu City in 2022 This research design is a pre-experimental study with a one group pretest- posttest design approach. The population is all children under five in the Talise Health Center in Palu City in 2022, with a purposive sampling method obtained a sample of 20 respondents. The independent variable studied was the provision of Tui Na massage, while the dependent variable was eating behavior. The results were analyzed using a paired sample T test. The results of the study prior to the Tui Na massage, most of the respondents had good eating behavior (80%) and a small proportion of respondents had good eating behavior (20%). After the Tui Na massage, most of the respondents had good eating behavior (65%) and a small proportion of respondents had good eating behavior (35%). The results of data analysis using the paired sample T test showed that the p-value = 0.000 is smaller than the critical value = 0.05, because the p-value < then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is an effect of Tui Na massage on eating behavior in children. toddlers in the Talise Health Center in Palu City in 2022 Giving Tui Na massage that has been done is able to launch the blood circulation system so that it can increase the supply of oxygen and the flow of nutrients in the body's cells, especially in the digestive organs so that the digestive organs are able to work optimally. Optimal work of the digestive organs will make toddlers feel hungry quickly because food absorption is better, so toddlers feel hungry more often and are able to eat well.
