The method applied in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and this work examines the pertinent literature between 2020 and 2024. The sources included here were Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar while using the following keywords; digital communication and profitability. The findings indicate that firms that engage in anticipatory digital media communication receive higher customer interactions of between 10-30% and continued patronage and sales. Furthermore, AI and big data help organizations tailor their communication strategies, maximize CLV and minimize operation expenditures. However, the study also revealed that digital skills’ dearth and organizational reluctance to embrace digital technology are a thorn for firms, particularly MSMEs, regarding the appropriate execution of digital communication strategies. Based on the findings of this study, the conclusion is that enhanced digital communication can enhance the profitability of the company as long as adequate technological platform and increased digitization of company’s employees are in place. As for the suggestions for future research, they include examining the effects of data privacy legislation on Digital Communications Planning and analyzing how manufacturing and, especially, financial service industries can leverage Digital Technology to create a sustainable competitive advantage.

Language literacy is essential for effective communication, especially in text-based interactions where nonverbal cues are absent. This study aims to explore the mediating role of feedback in clarifying ambiguity in text messages among students. While there is already research on feedback and language literacy, there is a gap regarding how feedback can specifically address ambiguity in digital communication. Using a descriptive survey method, data was collected from 30 students at Medan State University through a questionnaire distributed via WhatsApp. The analysis results show that syntactic ambiguity is the most prevalent type, followed by semantic and referential ambiguity. The findings showed that feedback strategies such as repetition, reformulation, and explicit clarification significantly improved understanding and reduced miscommunication. Students reported that these strategies helped clarify ambiguous messages and encouraged clearer interactions with the lecturer. In conclusion, effective feedback mechanisms are essential for improving communication clarity in text messages, especially in academic contexts. This study underscores the importance of developing feedback literacy among university students to effectively navigate ambiguity, thereby improving their language literacy and overall communication skills. Further research can extend these findings by exploring different contexts and demographics to generalize the results.

The rapid development of digital technology has reshaped communication practices in online learning, particularly in language education. Emojis, as a visual symbol widely used in digital interactions, have the potential to enrich emotional expression and participation, but their role in educational contexts remains insufficiently explored. This study aims to investigate how emojis influence students’ emotional expression, engagement, and digital literacy in online language classrooms. To achieve this, a qualitative observational design was employed, focusing on university students participating in online language courses. Data were collected from authentic digital interactions, including chat messages, discussion forums, and collaborative platforms, and were analyzed through content analysis to identify the communicative and pedagogical functions of emojis. The findings indicate that emojis help clarify emotional expression, support comprehension of messages, and encourage active student participation in online discussions. These results demonstrate that emojis not only serve as supplementary tools for digital communication but also contribute to creating a more engaging and supportive learning environment. Synthesizing the main ideas, this study extends the understanding of digital communication theory by highlighting the pedagogical value of emojis beyond their informal use on social media. In conclusion, emojis play a crucial role in strengthening interaction, fostering emotional presence, and enhancing learning outcomes in online language education. Digital communication has become part of the everyday fabric of congregational life. While it enables connection and pastoral accessibility, it also introduces relational tensions through divided attention, interpretive ambiguity, social comparison, online jealousy, concealed messaging, and the weakening of face-to-face reconciliation. This conceptual research article examines pastoral accompaniment for Christian congregants who experience relational crises caused or intensified by digital communication. The study aims to construct a pastoral framework that is theologically grounded, psychologically informed, ethically responsible, and usable in church ministry. Using an integrative literature review, the article synthesizes scholarship on digital religion, computer-mediated communication, relational conflict, phubbing, technoference, online counseling ethics, and practical theology. The synthesis indicates that digital relational crisis should not be reduced to excessive screen use. It is more accurately understood as a crisis of presence, attention, trust, boundaries, and interpretive charity. The article proposes pastoral accompaniment as a hybrid care that combines attentive presence, relational discernment, digital boundary formation, covenantal communication practices, and ethically bounded use of online media. It concludes that churches need to move beyond reactive counseling toward preventive digital discipleship that forms congregants in truthful speech, faithful presence, confidentiality, and relational accountability.

There are still many students who do not fully understand the ethics of digital communication, as can be seen from the way digital communication is not ethical for students to lecturers through WhatsApp shared by private campuses in Mataram City. On the other hand, the concern of campus institutions about this is still not optimal, causing the increasing prevalence of unethical digital communication between students and lecturers. The purpose of the research is to explore and examine the integration of ethno-digital ethic values that can be applied in campus habituation, as well as its influence on strengthening communication ethics and social trust of students in Mataram City. The research method to be used is a mixed method with a concurrent triangulation design. The location of the research is in Mataram City. This research was conducted by involving 157 informants and respondents consisting of 132 students, 10 education staff, 10 lecturers, and 5 campus leaders from five universities in Mataram City. This research was carried out in several stages, initial and follow-up observation, tests, and analysis. The results of the study show that ethno-digital ethic values integrated into campus habituation through academic and non-academic activities have a positive impact on strengthening communication ethics and social trust among Mataram City students. The integration of traditional ethical values with digital norms not only provides a strong moral framework for students but also creates a more inclusive and trusting social climate.

The development of digital technology has significantly changed the work paradigm, creating a work environment that is not bound by geographical boundaries through the utilization of cloud platforms, online collaboration tools, and advanced digital communications. This transformation increases productivity and enables collaboration between employees, even if they work in different locations. However, these changes also bring new challenges related to employee well-being. One of the main issues is stress due to the blurring of working time boundaries, with employees often struggling to distinguish between work and personal time. In addition, there is an increased risk of physical injury due to the use of non-ergonomic digital devices, including injuries from improper keyboard and mouse use. To overcome these challenges, companies must implement ergonomic office equipment to support the physical and mental health of their employees. Modern technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), plays an important role in selecting and customizing ergonomic office equipment to the individual needs of employees. AI analyzes equipment usage and posture data and recommends adjustments to prevent injuries and improve work comfort. The purpose of this study is to discuss the importance of office technology and ergonomics in improving employee productivity and well-being. By integrating advanced technology and ergonomic principles, companies can create a more comfortable and healthy work environment. This not only increases productivity, but also improves job satisfaction, creativity and employee retention. An ergonomic work environment reduces stress and fatigue, allowing employees to work more effectively and efficiently. The research method used in this study is a literature review that collects and analyzes information from various sources regarding office technology, ergonomics, and their impact on work productivity. The study found that the use of ergonomics-enabled technology in the workplace significantly increases employee happiness. Companies that invest in ergonomic technology and equipment can create a sustainable competitive advantage through a healthier and more productive workforce. This study shows that a balance between technology and ergonomics is key to creating a productive and sustainable work environment.
