Sumbersari Village is one of the few places where child marriage is still a problem. Children's mental health, education, and future prospects are all negatively impacted by this practice. The KKN (Community Service Program) group organizes community service projects that teach fifth and sixth graders about the dangers of child marriage and give them the opportunity to socialize. One of the strategies used is a question and answer session with incentives to increase student engagement, as well as presenting material in simple language and facilitating interactive conversations. The results show that students' interest and knowledge about child marriage risks increases. This activity has limitations due to its limited reach, especially for elementary school children, and the relatively basic nature of the subject matter. Therefore, for initiatives to combat child marriage to be more successful and sustainable, follow-up programs involving parents, adolescents, and community leaders are essential. Collaboration with relevant parties is needed to create deeper policies, as well as increase awareness of the importance of women's education and empowerment in preventing child marriage.

Balanced Nutrition Education and Strengthening Mothers' Participation in Posyandu Activities to Improve Toddler Nutritional Status Toddler nutrition continues to be a key focus in public health initiatives. Mothers' diet and active use of health services, particularly integrated health posts (Posyandu), are two factors that influence the nutritional status of toddlers. To help improve children's nutritional status, this community service project aims to strengthen mothers' involvement in Posyandu activities and raise their awareness of balanced nutrition. Thirty mothers of toddlers were targeted for this project, which was implemented in the Campalagian Community Health Center (Puskesmas) working area. Mothers were encouraged to actively participate in Posyandu activities through mentoring and education on balanced nutrition through counseling and interactive conversations. Mothers' attendance at Posyandu activities was monitored, and knowledge gains were measured using pre- and post-tests. The study found that mothers' average knowledge scores increased from 60 to 82, and mothers' attendance at Posyandu activities increased from 65% to 85%. This project demonstrates that balanced nutrition education and strengthening mothers' participation in Posyandu activities are effective in increasing mothers' knowledge and involvement, potentially supporting efforts to improve and prevent nutritional problems in toddlers on a sustainable basis.

This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study design to explore the psychological impacts of traffic accidents on victims. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and direct observation, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the main trauma-related symptoms include intense negative thoughts or emotions, such as sudden fear, nausea, and mood changes characterized by increased sadness and irritability. Additionally, sleep disturbances were observed, including vivid nightmares, flashbacks when attempting to sleep, and physical reactions such as heart palpitations. Avoidance behaviors were also noted, such as avoiding the accident location, rarely leaving the house, and avoiding conversations related to the accident. Traffic accidents are sudden, unexpected events that can cause not only physical injuries but also profound psychological impacts, including fear, excessive anxiety, nightmares, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If left untreated, these psychological disorders may interfere with daily functioning and significantly reduce the quality of life of the victims, making early intervention crucial for recovery.

This quasi-experimental study examines the effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted learning in enhancing critical thinking skills among undergraduate history students. The study involved 60 students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received AI-supported instruction integrating adaptive learning modules, scaffolded source-analysis prompts, and guided argumentative discussions facilitated by conversational AI tools, while the control group followed conventional lecture-based instruction. Data were collected using a validated critical thinking test, classroom observation protocols, and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using paired and independent sample t-tests, while qualitative data were examined through Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model. Results indicate statistically significant improvements in critical thinking scores in the experimental group compared to the control group. Thematic findings reveal enhanced sourcing, contextualization, corroboration, and evidence-based argumentation skills. However, minor risks of over-reliance on AI highlight the need for instructional scaffolding and ethical guidance. The findings suggest that AI can function as a cognitive scaffold that strengthens historical thinking and metacognitive awareness when implemented within a structured pedagogical framework.

Fifth grade students' consistently poor reading comprehension abilities, which impeded their overall academic development and participation in language acquisition, served as the driving force for this study. Using a comic assisted problem based learning (PBL) model, the study, which involved 39 students at SDN Purwamekar, aimed to improve learning activities in order to increase teacher and student participation and, eventually, improve fifth grade students' reading comprehension skills. By using comic strips to illustrate issues, this creative method made learning more engaging and accessible for younger students. In order to enable iterative improvements, the study was conducted over two cycles using classroom action research technique. Only 25% of students (eight people) successfully completed the learning objectives in the first cycle, according to preliminary findings, while 75% (24 students) failed, suggesting difficulties with student motivation and comprehension. This led to changes like improving comic material and fostering more cooperative conversations. Significant progress was seen by the second cycle, with 30 students meeting the completion criteria and only four falling short of the objectives, indicating improved engagement and skill growth. In conclusion, the comic assisted PBL model effectively boosted reading comprehension skills among fifth grade students. The research underscores the value of integrating visual aids and problem solving in education, offering practical insights for teachers to create more dynamic classrooms. Nonetheless, factors like time constraints and resource availability warrant further exploration to ensure sustainable implementation in diverse educational settings.

Educational inequality in Indonesia remains a significant challenge, as reflected in the low proportion of citizens with higher education degrees and the predominance of high school graduates as the highest educational attainment. University students, as part of the educated minority, hold a moral responsibility to redistribute the academic privilege they possess to the broader community. This article presents a report on a Community Service Program (PKM) titled It’s English Buddy, an online English-teaching initiative launched by students of the International Relations Study Program at UPN Veteran Jakarta. The program offers individual and group English conversation sessions at affordable prices, adopting a non-distributing profit approach to ensure operational sustainability. Supported by literature on the effectiveness of online learning in enhancing academic performance through flexibility and accessibility, the program has successfully reached participants of various ages and backgrounds. The results show that most participants are women and were recruited primarily through personal networks, highlighting the importance of public communication strategies and trust-building. Overall, It’s English Buddy demonstrates the potential of student-led grassroots educational initiatives as a meaningful contribution to expanding learning opportunities within society.

This community service activity was conducted in a Christian ministry institution located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. The Student Creativity Program (PKM) was motivated by the reality that many people in Makassar have not yet known or believed in Isa Al-Masih (Jesus Christ )as Lord and Savior. As a city with a predominantly non-Christian population, evangelism in Makassar needs to be carried out contextually, wisely, and lovingly, without offending the beliefs of the surrounding community. The “PI 3 Saja” method (an acronym for Evangelism anytime, anywhere, and to anyone) serves as a relevant and effective strategy for reaching out to society. Through the 5P approach (Pertalian—Relationship, Peralihan—Transition, Penginsafan—Conviction, Pengabaran—Proclamation, and Penyelesaian—Commitment), this method emphasizes the importance of friendship, empathy, and naturally sharing the Gospel in everyday conversations. The purpose of this activity was to train participants in the institution to become contextual evangelists who can share the Good News without coercion, but rather through exemplary living and genuine friendship with others. The training and field practice results showed positive responses from the community, the formation of small discipleship groups (house churches), and an increased sense of courage and sensitivity among participants in sharing the Gospel in non-Christian environments. This activity demonstrates that evangelism can remain relevant and effective when it prioritizes love, relationships, and sensitivity to local culture.

This Community Service Program aims to strengthen the basic English language skills of children aged 5-12 in RW 03 Kalibaru, Cilincing, North Jakarta. Initial observations revealed low vocabulary mastery and a lack of confidence in communication among these children. With foreign language literacy rates for primary school-aged children in coastal North Jakarta at only 27.5%, non-formal educational intervention is crucial to support their school learning. As part of a university community service program (KKN), this initiative was carried out over three meetings with 30 children. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which emphasizes active collaboration between program facilitators and the community. The program's implementation included introducing basic materials such as the alphabet, numbers, colors, and vocabulary related to animals and family members, as well as practicing simple conversations like self-introductions and greetings. The learning methods applied were highly interactive, integrating educational games, songs, visualization, and role-playing. The evaluation, using pre-test and post-test instruments, showed a significant improvement in the participants' understanding. The average initial score increased sharply from 68.5 to 85.7, representing a 17.2-point or approximately 25% increase. This improvement proves the effectiveness of the interactive methods used in strengthening material mastery. Furthermore, the program successfully fostered an inclusive and enjoyable learning environment. A social change was observed in the form of increased self-confidence among the children when using English, a willingness to speak in front of their friends, and positive interactions among participants. Overall, this program not only succeeded in enhancing basic English skills but also fostered social transformation through increased confidence and positive interaction. Language contact that occurs in a multilingual society causes various linguistic events. One of these linguistic events is the language shift that occurs among children in Bantik Sumoit Village. This study aims to describe how the Bantik language shift occurs, the factors causing the Bantik language shift, and efforts to overcome the Bantik language shift among children in Bantik Sumoit Village, Bolaang Timur District. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type located in Bantik Sumoit Village, Bolaang Timur District. The data collection technique used is by listening to direct conversations from children while recording and noting important things during the interaction process. Then data analysis is carried out by transcribing, reading, selecting data, identifying data, grouping/classifying, and making conclusions. The results of the study show that the use of the Bantik language has experienced a significant shift which is marked by indicators such as the replacement of traditional languages by other languages and the emergence of an imbalance in its use. This indicator indicates that language shift occurs when the use of the first and second languages becomes unbalanced. If this balance is lost, there are two possibilities that can occur. First, the first language persists despite the influence of the second language. Second, the first language is replaced by the second language until it is no longer used. This is influenced by a number of factors, namely education, socio-economic conditions, environment, and family. Efforts to overcome language shift include: adding Bantik language as a local content subject (mulok) in schools, the active role of parents in using regional languages in the family environment, and increasing public awareness of the importance of preserving regional languages in everyday life.

The Baiq Nuril case is a clear reflection of the political problems of criminal law in Indonesia, especially in the context of protecting victims of sexual violence and the application of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law (ITE Law). Baiq Nuril, a victim of verbal harassment by her superior, was criminalized through Article 27 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law after she recorded an obscene conversation as a form of self-protection. This research uses a normative juridical approach by analyzing relevant legal instruments and their application in the Baiq Nuril case. The results show that the use of the article contains structural bias and shows an imbalance of perspectives in the criminal justice system, which tends to ignore the position of victims as well as the social context and power relations that surround them. In addition, the article's multiple interpretations open space for criminalization of victims, especially women, instead of providing protection. This case emphasizes the importance of criminal law reform oriented towards substantive justice and in favor of victims, as well as the need to revise the ITE Law so that it does not become a tool of repression against vulnerable groups. The amnesty granted by the President to Baiq Nuril is a political corrective step, but has not touched the root of systemic problems in law enforcement that have not been in favor of victims of gender-based violence.

The purpose of this study is to find out about someone who has a mental disorder periodically committing an unlawful act, can be given legal responsibility for his actions, and the basis for the judge's considerations in sentencing the perpetrator of the crime of murder who has a mental disorder periodically. The type of research is normative legal research. The research data collection technique uses literature studies. The data will then be analyzed using qualitative analysis. The results of the study show that based on the theory of criminal responsibility, a person with a mental disorder cannot be punished because he is considered not to have the awareness and ability to be responsible or his actions, but there is a submission in the case of periodic mental disorders experienced by the defendant in the sentence, the legal status of the perpetrator does not immediately get a full element of forgiveness, in the audit the judge considered it worthy of being held criminally responsible because his actions had fulfilled the elements of criminal responsibility. The judge's decision ignored the conditions of the conversation with a history of periodic mental disorders showing weaknesses in aspects, legal certainty, benefits and protection of human rights, in contrast to the principles of legalization and violation of national law and imprisoning people who have a history or even are mentally ill does not provide benefits to the person himself.

This study explores the vital role of families in shaping social values among children and adolescents within the increasingly dominant digital environment. Digital technology has transformed communication patterns and modes of cultural transmission, presenting new challenges for families in instilling core values while navigating technological influences. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research involved 15 Indonesian families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Data collection methods included in-depth interviews, observations, and media diaries to understand the dynamics of value transmission in digital contexts. The findings reveal that family communication patterns—whether conversation-oriented, conformity-oriented, or laissez-faire—significantly influence children’s internalization of values. Effective strategies identified include parental digital co-learning, value-based guidance, and the promotion of critical media literacy. Major challenges include value conflicts between family teachings and digital culture, concerns over cultural preservation, and competition for children’s attention due to immersive technology.Nevertheless, the study also found that families can strategically leverage technology to reinforce values through careful media selection, engagement in meaningful digital activities, and fostering intergenerational connections. In conclusion, while families remain crucial socializing agents, the successful transmission of values requires thoughtful adaptation of traditional practices to meet the realities of the digital age.
