Aljabar : Jurnal Ilmuan Pendidikan, Matematika dan Kebumian 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Matematika dan Sains Indonesia

This study aims to examine the use of Macaulay2 software in improving students' computational thinking skills in mathematics learning, especially in abstract algebra material. Macaulay2 as an open-source Computer Algebra Sistem (CAS) provides a symbolic and algorithmic environment that encourages logical and systematic exploration of mathematical concepts. Literature reviews show that the use of Macaulay2 can strengthen conceptual understanding, train computational thinking, and introduce mathematical programming to students. However, technical challenges, limited Indonesian language teaching materials, and limited educational infrastructure are obstacles that need to be overcome through collaboration between educational stakeholders.

This study aims to examine the role of Math Editor software in developing students' computational thinking skills in mathematics learning. Computational thinking is an important skill that involves the process of solving problems logically, systematically, and efficiently. This study adopts a literature review approach by analyzing literature related to the use of Math Editor as a supporting medium for the mathematical thinking process. The results of the study indicate that the use of Math Editor not only makes it easier to compile mathematical expressions, but also strengthens analytical thinking skills, increases accuracy, and encourages students' independent reflection. In addition, the integration of Math Editor into a digital learning platform expands opportunities for the development of interactive and collaborative learning. Thus, this software has great potential in supporting technology-based mathematics learning.

Computational thinking skills are now one of the main skills in 21st century education. Not only does it support mastery of technology, this ability is also very important in understanding and solving problems systematically. This study aims to review in depth the potential for utilizing Triangulos software as an innovative learning medium to improve students' computational thinking skills, especially in mathematical geometry material. The study used a literature review approach by tracing primary and secondary sources from 2020–2024. The results of the analysis show that the use of Triangulos can encourage students to develop algorithmic thinking patterns, spatial visualization, and problem-solving skills. In addition, this application also supports independent and collaborative learning, and has the potential to increase student motivation and activeness in class. These findings recommend the integration of Triangulos in mathematics learning as one of the efforts to innovate education in the digital era. Further empirical research is highly recommended to test the effectiveness of this application at various levels of education.

Computational thinking skills are one of the important competencies in the world of education in the 21st century, especially in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). GNU Octave as an open source software similar to MATLAB offers a numeric programming environment that can be used to train and develop students' computational thinking skills. Researchers use a literature study method that aims to see the extent to which GNU Octave can be used in learning to improve students' computational thinking skills. The literature sources used come from national and international journal articles, conference proceedings, and other trusted sources over the past 10 years. The results of the review show that GNU Octave is effective as a learning tool for numeric programming, problem solving, and mathematical modeling, and has a positive contribution to honing students' algorithmic and analytical thinking skills.

Konstanta : Jurnal Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam 2025 International Forum of Researchers and Lecturers

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has opened up great opportunities in increasing the effectiveness of mathematics learning, especially in supporting students' computational thinking skills. This article presents a mini-literature review related to the use of Tibi's Mathematics Suite (TMS) as interactive software in mathematics learning. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and desk research method, this study analyzes various scientific sources to evaluate the contribution of TMS to the development of computational thinking, which includes decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithms. The results of the study show that TMS is able to increase students' interest in learning, independence, and metacognitive awareness, although its implementation still faces challenges such as limited infrastructure and teacher training. This review recommends the need for further empirical studies and education policy support so that the integration of TMS can be more optimal in the context of the Independent Curriculum and the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile.
