Family communication plays a crucial role in shaping the character and behavior of adolescents, especially in facing social challenges such as online gambling. This study aims to determine how parental communication patterns influence adolescents' involvement in online gambling activities in Lalang Village, Rana Mese District, East Manggarai Regency. Furthermore, this study also identifies various efforts made by parents to address this problem. The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate four family communication patterns implemented by parents: pluralistic, consensual, protective, and laissez-faire. The pluralistic pattern is characterized by open communication and equal discussion, which encourages children to avoid online gambling. The consensual pattern combines warm communication with an emphasis on shared values. Conversely, the protective pattern tends to be dominant, where parents supervise without providing space for dialogue, resulting in children becoming withdrawn. The laissez-faire pattern, with minimal communication, makes children feel free to engage in gambling. This study uses the symbolic interaction theory, namely mind, self, and society. In addition to communication patterns, this study also found that parents undertake various efforts, such as limiting digital device use, providing advice, and increasing supervision of their children's social environment. These efforts demonstrate that their effectiveness is highly dependent on the quality of communication within the family.

The quality of interaction between physicians and patients plays a crucial role in the healthcare system, as it directly affects patient satisfaction. Ineffective communication by physicians may reduce patient satisfaction and increase the risk of complaints and medical disputes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between doctor–patient communication patterns and patient satisfaction in outpatient services. This research employed a quantitative approach with an observational analytic design using a cross-sectional method. The study population included all outpatient patients, with a sample of 110 respondents selected through accidental sampling. The independent variable was doctor–patient communication, while the dependent variable was patient satisfaction. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the majority of respondents rated doctor–patient communication as good (80.9%) and reported high levels of satisfaction (75.5%). The analysis revealed that among respondents who experienced good communication, 84.3% reported high satisfaction, whereas the proportion of high satisfaction decreased significantly in the groups with moderate and poor communication. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between the quality of doctor–patient communication and patient satisfaction in outpatient services, where improvements in communication quality are consistently associated with increased patient satisfaction.

The delivery of messages or information from these patterns is known to affect the performance or work results of members in the organization. Therefore, the purpose of this study is specifically to find out and prove howzthe influencezof organizational comunication patterns on the performance of BEMP IKOM UNJ members for the 2024/2025 period. The research methodology is quantitative and uses a data collection method with a survey type. The results show that the independent variable in this study, namely organizational communication patterns, affects the dependent variable, namely member performance. It is known that the variable of organizational communication patterns has an effect of 31% on member performance. Then it can also be concludedzthat the influence of several variables that were not tested and then inserted into the form of this study was 69%.

Local food innovation is not only focused on product development but also requires effective communication strategies to build positive perceptions and enhance market competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the implementation of innovation communication strategies by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in developing papaya-based chili chips as a flagship product in Nagori Karang Anyar, Gunung Maligas District, Simalungun Regency. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on the product innovation process, marketing communication patterns, and efforts to build product image amid competition in the local food industry. The findings indicate that innovation communication strategies play a crucial role in creating product differentiation through narratives of unique taste, utilization of local raw materials, and promotional strategies combining traditional methods and digital media. Papaya chili chips are positioned as a product that blends distinctive local flavors with a modern touch, attracting consumer interest and increasing the added value of papaya as a local commodity. This study emphasizes that the success of local food innovation depends not only on product quality but also on the ability of MSMEs to manage adaptive and persuasive communication strategies.

The information technology revolution has brought significant changes to almost all aspects of people's lives, from communication patterns and ways of obtaining information to production and trade systems across various sectors. The development of digital technology has also driven cultural, social, and economic changes that require society to continuously adapt. This article aims to examine how society adapts to these changes through a literature review approach, examining various relevant scientific sources. The discussion focuses on digital literacy, human resource (HR) transformation, the concept of Society 5.0, the psychological impact of digital technology use, the role of public policy, and the use of technology in the economic sector. The study results indicate that the success of societal adaptation is greatly influenced by the level of digital literacy and the readiness of human resources to face increasingly rapid technological developments. Furthermore, public policies that support equal access to technology and digital education are crucial factors in this adaptation process. Equitable digital literacy and the development of adaptive and flexible human resources are key strategies for maximizing digital economic opportunities while addressing various social challenges in the era of information technology transformation.

This study aims to analyze the influence of parental communication skills on the self-confidence of kindergarten children using a quantitative approach. The background of this research is rooted in the essential role of effective parental communication in shaping the psychosocial development of children, particularly in fostering self-confidence, which is crucial for children's social and academic success. The research sample consisted of parents and kindergarten children selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires designed to measure parental communication patterns and children's levels of self-confidence. Data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics, including simple linear regression to examine the relationship and effect of parental communication skills on children's self-confidence. The results reveal that positive, supportive communication skills characterized by democratic communication patterns have a significant positive effect on increasing children's self-confidence. Effective and empathetic communication creates a conducive environment for children to express themselves, boosting their self-esteem and social-emotional potential. The study concludes that enhancing parental communication skills is a vital strategy for family guidance and early childhood education to optimally support the development of children's self-confidence.

This article examines the implications of parental verbal violence on the socio-emotional development of early childhood aged 3–6 years. The study was conducted through an extensive literature review supported by general field observations in community settings. The purpose of this research is to describe the phenomenon of verbal violence experienced by young children, analyze its effects on their emotional security, self-confidence, and social adaptation, and identify contributing factors from both the family environment and parental characteristics. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, relevant books, journal articles, and institutional reports were synthesized to construct a comprehensive understanding of how negative communication patterns shape children’s socio-emotional development. The findings indicate that verbal violence such as yelling, scolding, insulting, labeling, and threatening can disrupt children’s emotional regulation, lower their self-esteem, and hinder their ability to interact positively with peers. Repeated exposure to harsh language also increases the risk of anxiety, aggression, and social withdrawal. Conversely, positive, supportive, and empathetic parental communication fosters emotional resilience, empathy, and healthy social behavior. This article highlights the urgent need for parents, educators, and communities to strengthen awareness regarding the harmful impact of verbal violence and to promote nurturing communication practices that support the holistic development of young children.

The rapid development of information technology has triggered significant changes in communication patterns, including in da'wah activities. Amidst digital dominance and the rapid flow of information, a da'wah approach relevant to the communication characteristics of Gen Z is crucial. Gen Z is known for its fast, interactive communication style and preference for digital media. Therefore, this community service program is designed to introduce da'wah as an effective two-way communication process in addressing these dynamics. The main objective of this program is to improve digital da'wah literacy and foster motivation and practical skills in creatively conveying Islamic messages through social media platforms. This community service activity is carried out through a series of activities, including outreach, interactive discussions, and practical simulations for creating digital da'wah content. The outreach is intended to provide a basic understanding of da'wah in a digital context. Interactive discussions allow participants to share views and understand how da'wah can be carried out effectively in cyberspace. Meanwhile, the da'wah content creation practice provides participants with the opportunity to directly engage in creating da'wah messages that can be disseminated through social media. Evaluation of the activity is carried out through pre- and post-tests held before and after the program implementation. The analysis results showed an increase in participants' understanding of more than 35% across all tested indicators. The highest increase (56.3%) was recorded in their understanding of the importance of two-way communication in da'wah. Previously, many participants considered da'wah to be an activity limited to religious leaders. However, after participating in this program, they began to understand that da'wah is a task for every individual, and can be carried out through media closely related to their daily lives. Overall, this program succeeded in increasing knowledge, critical awareness, and enthusiasm for contextual da'wah among Gen Z.

The increase in women's participation in the workforce has a significant impact on early childhood parenting patterns and the dynamics of household life. This research aims to analyze how career women apply parenting styles to young children and how this affects child development and the balance of home life. The study uses a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, starting with a quantitative approach followed by a qualitative approach. The goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the parenting styles of career women, early childhood development, and household life. The research population includes career women who have young children at the GMIT Horeb Perumnas Congregation in Kupang City. The research results show that although career women face time limitations, they tend to adopt a democratic parenting style supported by caregivers or partners. Child development can remain optimal if communication patterns and emotional involvement are maintained. However, challenges arise in terms of emotional closeness and quality time. Therefore, adaptive strategies and family support are needed to maintain a balance between career and maternal roles.

The development of digital technology has driven substantial transformation in communication patterns and access to information, especially among the younger generation. However, the relatively low level of digital literacy is still a problem that requires strategic handling. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using motion graphics a social campaign medium in increasing awareness of digital literacy among the younger generation. research methodology applied uses a quantitative approach, utilizing interview, analysis, and survey techniques. Research respondents were exposed to the campaign through motion graphic media, and their level of understanding was measured through a comparative evaluation between conditions before and after the intervention. results the study show that the use of motion graphics as a social campaign medium significantly increases the understanding and awareness of the younger generation towards digital literacy. Attractive visualization factors, concise message delivery, and a combination of audio and animation elements have been shown to strengthen the appeal and effectiveness of the campaign. These findings indicate motion graphics can be an effective communication strategy in conveying social messages, especially in digital literacy issues. Therefore, motion graphic based social campaigns can be optimized as educational tools for the younger generation in facing challenges digital era. 

This study presents a description of the role of persuasive communication carried out by parents in shaping a child’s positive self-concept. The research used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Purposive sampling was applied to ensure the validity of the data. The findings of the study include: the use of praise and appreciation, time management, utilizing technology as a means of communication, persuasive communication patterns based on Islamic values, and the role of the school environment. The success of parents' persuasive communication lies in the use of gentle and appreciative communication, effective time management despite busy schedules, and the consistent integration of Islamic values both at home and in school.

Social media, such as Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, are not only a means of interaction, but also a major catalyst in creating and disseminating new terms. This phenomenon reflects students’ linguistic creativity and is also a reflection of the dynamics of digital culture. In the context of Maumere Muhammadiyah University students, the use of slang is not just a trend, but also a tool to adapt to a dynamic social environment. New terms that are popular on social media are often adopted in daily conversations as symbols of modern and contemporary identity. However, this phenomenon also raises challenges, especially related to the preservation of formal language and traditional values in communication. This article discusses the characteristics of slang that emerges from social media, its role in forming social identity, and its impact on the use of formal language. In conclusion, social media plays a significant role in shaping student communication patterns, but efforts are needed to maintain a balance between language creativity and the use of standard language in formal contexts.

This research aims to determine the influence of emotional intelligence, communication patterns and transformational leadership on the performance of Bima Housing and Settlement service employees. The population in this study were 63 employees at the Bima Housing and Settlement Department, especially the Bima City Housing, Settlement and Land Department, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling, namely 38 civil servant employees as respondents.Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 27. The results of this study partially show that the emotional intelligence variable has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance, the communication pattern variable has an insignificant effect on employee performance, and the transformational leadership variable has a positive and significant effect on performance. employee. The interpersonal communication patterns of managers that were found and had a significant impact on Caffe Otsukohi team performance were democratic communication patterns and laissez-faire communication patterns. This study aims to desribe speech difficulties n children aged 4-5 years at TK Al-Khairat Kindergarten, Gorontalo City. The researcher employed a qualitative research method focusing on the speech diffuculties experienced by children. The study subjects were three children and their parents at TK Al-Khairat Kindergarten in Gorontalo City, Data was collected through interviews and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reducation, data ranging from poor arculation to difficulties in understanding and using vocabulary. The causes influencing these difficulties include motor speech disorders such as apraxia, lack of supportive social interactions, and familly communication patterns. These speech difficulties significantly impact the children’s social-emosional development, such as low self-concept and difficulties building social-emotional development, such as low self-concept and difficulties building social relationship. The study highlights the importance of early detection and appropriate intervention to help children overcome speech difficulties, ultimately supporting their social, emotional, and academic development.

Effective communication is communication that can produce a change in attitude in each individual which is visible in a communication. This research uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques carried out using three techniques which include interviews, documentation, and observation or security. The research was carried out by going directly to the Blitar Regency Communication, Informatics and Statistics Service which is located on Jalan Sudanco Supriyadi Number 17, Bendogerit, Sananwetan District, Blitar City, East Java. The results of this research are based on a series of analysis processes from interview data, observation and documentation, showing that effective organizational communication patterns are very important in improving employee performance at the Blitar Regency Diskominotics. By implementing clear and transparent vertical communication, both from top to bottom and from bottom to top. Meanwhile, supporting and inhibiting factors, organizational communication patterns have a significant impact on improving employee performance. Supporting factors such as continuous training, positive work environment, constructive feedback.

This research aims to determine the communication patterns of lecturers in improving the interpersonal quality of students majoring in government science at Pancasakti University, Makassar. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and literature study. The analytical method used is qualitative analysis. The research results show that good communication between lecturers and students will certainly result in better quality students, one of which is marked by increased student academic achievement. On the other hand, poor communication between lecturers and students will actually have an impact on decreasing the student's academic achievement. The indicators for the effectiveness of interpersonal communication, namely openness, empathy, supportive attitude, positive attitude, have worked well.

The study aims to analyze the speech patterns of children who have hyperactivity disorders in the classroom context. The observational approach is used in this study to learn how the children respond to the instructions given. Children with adhd tend to have difficulty understanding complex instructions, so researchers need to highlight appropriate communication patterns and avoid giving them overly complex instructions. Interactions start with conversations between language researchers and communicative behaviors, so that children with adhd can more readily understand the content of a conversation and respond favorably. The study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data-gathering technique used was the triangulation or fusion of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show difficulties in maintaining attention, as well as difficulties in understanding and following instructions given in conversation in children with ADHD. These observation activities provide new insights into the children's behavior and characteristics with adhd, as well as proper treatment measures to meet their needs in social interaction.

This study aims to analyze communication patterns in mathematics learning for blind students. This research was conducted by utilizing observation techniques on interactions between blind students and teachers in the context of mathematics learning. Data was collected through direct observation and analyzed qualitatively to identify dominant communication patterns. The research results show that communication patterns in mathematics learning for blind students have their own characteristics, which include the use of various verbal and non-verbal methods. This study provides valuable insights for the development of more inclusive learning strategies for students with visual impairments in the context of mathematics education.

Based on the analysis of the novel Resign, it can be concluded that communication patterns have a negative influence on employee performance. As a result, employees become less productive and their performance decreases. Therefore, it is important for leaders to understand the application of appropriate communication patterns. Leaders must be able to create a conducive and supportive work environment, so that employees can work comfortably and are motivated.
