This study evaluates the effectiveness of BPOM’s mentoring programs for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the natural medicine and cosmetics sectors in navigating complex regulatory requirements to obtain product licenses. Despite the strategic role of MSMEs in supporting Indonesia’s economy, regulatory compliance remains a significant challenge, particularly due to limited resources and market access. Previous studies have highlighted the need for adaptive regulatory approaches and mentoring programs, but gaps remain in evaluating their long-term impact and inclusivity. This study offers novelty by analyzing the program’s effectiveness across diverse demographic and educational backgrounds, providing evidence-based insights into its impact. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through surveys involving 35 MSME participants from the “Rembuk UMKM” event. The Likert-scale questionnaire assessed regulatory understanding, program effectiveness, and its impact on license readiness. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, generating insights into participant perceptions. The findings show that the mentoring program is most effective among younger participants (aged 18–25 years), scoring 4.53, while maintaining high effectiveness scores across all age groups. Educational background analysis revealed the highest scores (5.00) from vocational high school (SMK) and master’s (S2) participants, highlighting the program’s inclusivity and adaptability. However, team competence scored relatively lower (4.26), indicating the need for continuous capacity building. The study concludes that BPOM’s mentoring programs significantly enhance MSME compliance and build long-term trust, with strategic recommendations for continuous training, technology-based module development, regional collaborations, and structured feedback mechanisms. These initiatives aim to strengthen program relevance and sustainability, supporting MSMEs in achieving regulatory compliance and contributing to national economic growth.

This research aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of the women's quota in the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of DKI Jakarta Province during the 2014-2024 period. The women's quota is an affirmative policy designed to increase women's representation in the legislature, regulated by Indonesia's electoral law. Although this policy has been implemented, there are still various challenges that hinder women's participation in politics, including cultural, social, and structural barriers. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with Deputy Chairman of DPRD , Legislative Candidate, Academics , Sociologist and Law/ Political observers, as well as analysis of official documents and related reports. The results show that despite an increase in the number of women in the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD ) of DKI Jakarta Province , the women's quota has not fully achieved its goals. Some of the factors that affect the effectiveness of this quota include the lack of support from political parties, strong gender stereotypes, and obstacles in the recruitment and selection process of female candidates. This research also found that the existence of women's quotas alone is not enough to increase women's participation in politics. Further efforts are needed, including political education for women, capacity building for female legislator candidates, and reforms in the political party system to support greater involvement of women. In conclusion, the women's quota in the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of DKI Jakarta Province still faces various challenges in its implementation, and additional strategies are needed to overcome these obstacles in order to achieve more equitable and inclusive representation.

The legal framework has significant potential to address cybercrime with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which increases the efficiency of detecting, investigating and prosecuting increasingly sophisticated cybercriminals. This technology can perform big data analysis, pattern recognition and identification of suspicious behavior, but the legal framework needs to be updated to cover new crimes such as AI-based fraud and automated cyberattacks. The challenges in law enforcement related to the misuse of AI are quite complex, especially due to the lack of specific regulations to regulate its use in the context of cybercrime. Existing regulations often do not cover new situations, thus reducing the effectiveness of law enforcement. To overcome these challenges, legislators need to update regulations and develop ethical guidelines, while international collaboration and capacity building of law enforcement through education and training are also essential to increase the effectiveness of handling cybercrime.

Using a quantitative approach, this study investigates the effect of port export and import volumes on economic growth in North Sumatra and West Sumatra Provinces. Time series data from the World Bank and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) from 2006 to 2023 are used as secondary data. The analysis uses the ARDL Panel model, which allows for analysis of data dynamics across time and regions. The results show that the three main indicators that affect economic growth (GRDP) in both provinces, both in the short and long term, are export volume, inflation, and exchange rates. In North Sumatra, export volume has a positive impact on GRDP, while import volume has a negative impact, indicating a risk of dependence on imports. Controlled inflation also has a positive impact, while the exchange rate shows a diversion. Policy recommendations are expected to improve global competitiveness and exchange rate stability through coordination of fiscal and monetary policies, support for the Export Capacity Building Program and MSMEs through the Regional Comprehensive Economic Framework (RCEP), and export diversification to reduce dependence on certain commodities. This study emphasizes that policies that are responsive to changes in trade at the national to international levels are an important foundation for stabilizing sustainable economic growth.

The handling of the crime of sexual intercourse and molestation of minors is a crucial issue that requires serious attention from various parties. The background of this study is the high rate of sexual violence against minors in the Barelang Police area and the need to evaluate the implementation of victim protection in this context. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implications of victim protection in handling the crime of sexual intercourse and molestation of minors in the Barelang Police, as well as to identify obstacles and efforts made to improve this protection. The research method used is normative juridical through library research using secondary data, and also uses an empirical juridical approach through field research using primary data collected through interviews with law enforcement officials, psychologists, victims, and victims' families. Secondary data was obtained from official documents of the Barelang Police, case reports, and related literature. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive methods to provide a comprehensive picture of the condition of victim protection and its implications. The results of the study show that although there are serious efforts by the Barelang Police in providing protection to victims, there are several significant obstacles that reduce the effectiveness of these protections. The main obstacles include a lack of adequate psychological assistance, lengthy and convoluted legal processes, a lack of public awareness, and ineffective coordination between related institutions. The implications of these barriers include prolonged psychological suffering for victims, a decline in public trust in the justice system, and a lack of justice for victims. Suggestions given to overcome these obstacles include: capacity building and training of law enforcement officials, education and awareness campaigns in the community, and strengthening victim protection systems and facilities by the government. The background of this study is the high number of terrorism cases in Indonesia that require strict law enforcement measures but must still respect human rights. Legal protection for suspects in the investigation process is crucial to ensure a fair legal process and in accordance with human rights standards regulated in various laws and regulations, including the Criminal Procedure Code, Law No. 5 of 2018, the 1945 Constitution, and Law No. 39 of 1999.The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of legal protection for suspects of terrorism crimes in the Riau Islands Police area, identify obstacles faced in implementing this protection, and formulate solutions to overcome these obstacles. The research method used is the empirical legal method, with a qualitative approach involving data collection through interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of legal protection for suspects in the Riau Islands Police area is still less than optimal. The main obstacles identified include abuse of authority by law enforcement officers, lack of resources and capacity, and social stigma and discrimination against suspects. Abuse of authority often occurs in the form of unprocedural arrests and detentions, while limited resources result in a lack of adequate equipment and training for officers. Social stigma worsens the situation by hindering fair and humane legal protection. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that supervision and accountability for the actions of law enforcement officers be strengthened, training and capacity building for officers be carried out continuously, and anti-stigma education and campaigns be carried out for the community. These steps are expected to increase the effectiveness of human rights protection for suspects, so that the process of investigating terrorism crimes can be carried out more fairly and in accordance with the principles of law and justice.

Maritime law enforcement in Indonesian waters, especially in the Riau Islands, is a complex challenge considering the breadth of the territory and the variety of maritime threats faced. The Maritime Security Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BAKAMLA RI) has an important role in maintaining security and enforcing the law in Indonesian waters. This study aims to analyze the role and authority of BAKAMLA RI in enforcing maritime law and evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of its duties in the waters of the Riau Islands. This study uses a normative juridical method with a case approach to collect empirical data. The data was obtained through literature studies, analysis of legal documents, and interviews with BAKAMLA RI personnel and related agencies. The analysis was carried out using John Rawls' theory of justice, Lawrence M. Friedman's theory of legal system, and Sudikno Mertokusumo's theory of legal certainty to understand the obstacles and find solutions to improve the effectiveness of maritime law enforcement. The results of the study show that maritime law enforcement by BAKAMLA RI in the Natuna Riau Islands has not been optimal. The main obstacles faced include limited resources, the complexity of maritime crimes, and ineffective inter- agency coordination. Despite having a strong legal foundation, BAKAMLA RI effectiveness in carrying out its duties still needs to be improved through greater budget support, the procurement of advanced technology, and personnel training and capacity building programs. Based on these findings, it is recommended that BAKAMLA RI strengthen coordination with related agencies through the establishment of a joint command center and information system integration. The government needs to provide adequate budget support and strengthen the regulatory framework to support maritime law enforcement. The public is also expected to increase awareness and active participation in maintaining maritime security. With these steps, it is hoped that the effectiveness of maritime law enforcement by BAKAMLA RI can be improved, so that the security and sovereignty of Indonesian waters, especially in the Riau Islands, can be better maintained
