Refusal of Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) examination remains a major challenge in cervical cancer early detection, particularly among women of reproductive age. This study aimed to analyze factors influencing refusal of VIA examination among women of reproductive age in Beringin Jaya Village, Oba Tengah District. A quantitative analytic study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving 74 respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire assessing educational level, knowledge, information, and the role of health workers. Data analysis included univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test, and multivariate analysis using ordinal logistic regression. The results showed that most respondents refused or hesitated to undergo VIA examination. Bivariate analysis demonstrated that educational level, information, and the role of health workers were associated with refusal of VIA examination, while knowledge level showed a tendency toward association. However, multivariate analysis revealed that only the role of health workers had a statistically significant effect on refusal of VIA examination. Educational level, knowledge, and information were not significant predictors after adjustment. These findings indicate that service-related factors, particularly the role of health workers, are more influential than individual factors in shaping decisions regarding VIA examination. Strengthening health workers’ roles through effective communication and interpersonal counseling is essential to improve VIA examination uptake.

This study examines the evolution of the notary supervision system in Indonesia, particularly the impact of Constitutional Court Decision No. 49/PUU-X/2012 which revoked Article 66 paragraph (1) of Law No. 30 of 2004 and the establishment of the Notary Honorary Council (MKN) through Law No. 2 of 2014. The study uses a normative juridical method with a case and statutory approach, supported by literature analysis and expert opinion. The results show that the Constitutional Court decision eliminated legal protection for notaries in facing arbitrary actions by law enforcement officers, creating inequality with other professions such as advocates and doctors. Although the Regional Supervisory Council (MPD) still exists institutionally, the authority to grant approval for summoning notaries has been lost. In response, the government established the MKN which combines elements of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights with the Indonesian Notaries Association. International comparisons show that the civil law system provides stronger protection through specialized courts, while common law does not provide a privileged position for notaries. Indonesia adopts a mixed model that provides flexibility but creates coordination complexity. The MKN plays a role in enforcing professional ethics while maintaining a balance between the protection of notaries as public officials who make authentic deeds and accountability in the judicial system, restoring the stability of legal protection that was lost after the Constitutional Court's decision.

The Waste Bank is an initiative born out of public concern for the environment, particularly in addressing the growing waste problem. The problem faced by the Seruni Waste Bank Association is that the management of waste deposit data is still carried out using conventional bookkeeping, which often results in errors in recording the nominal amount of waste deposits. This error results in losses for the Waste Bank Association and a lack of transparency between officers and members and customers. The purpose of this study is to help create a waste bank management system so as to reduce losses for the association. The research methodology employed is the waterfall methodology, which involves a research design comprising needs analysis, system design, implementation or coding, program testing and evaluation, and maintenance. The definition of users obtained from the results of observations and interviews resulted in two levels of users: owner and junior. System testing includes blackbox testing with test cases that are all accepted or valid, and user acceptant testing with results that are strongly agreed to be accepted by the association. This system has proven effective in helping officers manage waste bank data, especially in reporting waste deposit transactions, thereby improving the performance and transparency of Seruni waste bank operations.

Background: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) during pregnancy are a significant public health concern because they can adversely affect maternal and fetal health. STIs such chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis can cause complications including preterm labor, intrauterine growth restriction, and increased risk of low birth weight (LBW) in newborns (Sari, 2020). LBW is defined a birth weight of less than 2,500 grams and is associated with higher infant morbidity and mortality (Nurhidayah, 2021). Despite public health efforts, STIs remain prevalent in reproductive-aged women, and their relationship with LBW requires further investigation in local healthcare settings. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between sexually transmitted infections in pregnant women and the incidence low birth weight newborns. Methods: A quantitative, observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. Results: The results indicated a significant relationship between the presence of sexually transmitted infections in pregnant women and the occurrence of low birth weight in newborns. Among the 30 participants, mothers with STIs showed a higher incidence of LBW (p = 0.000), indicating statistically significant association. These findings suggest that STIs in pregnancy can adversely affect fetal growth and contribute to neonatal health risks. Conclusion: Sexually transmitted infections in pregnant women are significantly associated with the incidence of low birth weight in newborns. Screening, early detection, and appropriate management of STIs during pregnancy are crucial strategies reduce the risk of LBW and improve neonatal outcomes. Healthcare providers should integrate STI prevention and treatment programs into routine antenatal care to promote maternal and infant health.
