This study discusses the innovation of Arabic language learning strategies based on communicative skills that emphasizes mastery of four main aspects, namely listening (istima'), speaking (kalam), reading (qira'ah), and writing (kitabah). The background of the research departs from the problem that Arabic language learning in many educational institutions is still dominated by traditional approaches that focus on memorization and translation. As a result, students have difficulty in applying Arabic actively and communicatively. This research aims to describe the concept of language skills-based learning, identify effective methods, and analyze obstacles and implementable solutions. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods through literature studies, observations, and interviews, this study found that language skills-based approaches are more effective in improving communication skills than traditional methods. Methods such as Direct Method, Communicative Approach, Audio-Lingual Method, and Total Physical Response (TPR) have been proven to be able to increase students' participation and language competence. In addition, the use of digital media and interactive applications strengthens the learning process. However, limited resources, lack of interactive media, and lack of practice time are major challenges. This study concludes that technology integration, improving educator competencies, and preparing a practice-based curriculum are the keys to the success of Arabic language learning that is communicative and relevant to the needs of the modern era.

In German language courses at universities, students must learn four skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. To master these four skills, students must have a good command of vocabulary, as this is the foundation needed to master the German language. This software does not require programming code, so users can easily add graphics and sounds to the game. Without vocabulary, skills such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening cannot be performed. This study aims to create a Construct 2 application that can be used by college students to increase their A1 level German vocabulary. The data for this study is A1 level German vocabulary with the theme “Guten Appetit,” and another source of data is the book “Netzwerk neu A1 Kursbuch” published by Ernst Klett Sprachen GmbH in 2019. This research will be conducted in the foreign language laboratory at UNIMED. The application will be tested by subject matter experts and learning media experts. This research will be published in a nationally indexed journal.

This article discusses the importance of implementing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based learning evaluation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. This topic is very crucial considering that PAI in the modern era is not sufficiently delivered through conventional methods such as memorization and lectures, but must encourage students to think critically, creatively, and reflectively towards religious teachings. The method used in this writing is a library research with a qualitative descriptive approach, reviewing relevant literature related to HOTS and its implementation in PAI learning evaluation. The results of the study indicate that HOTS-based evaluation is able to develop students' abilities in analyzing, evaluating, and creating solutions to contextual problems, thus supporting the formation of adaptive and highly reasoned religious characters. The implication is that the application of HOTS-based evaluation in PAI learning contributes significantly to students' cognitive development and is very relevant in the study of developmental psychology, especially in forming balanced intellectual and emotional intelligence.

Vocabulary mastery is a fundamental component in English language learning that determines comprehension, speaking, and writing skills. However, in the context of district-level communities, including the Regional Library of Labuhan Batu, vocabulary learning still faces various challenges such as the lack of contextual teaching materials, the dominance of rote learning methods, and the limited use of local resources. To address these issues, this Community Service Program (PkM) proposes the application of lexical analysis on 100 local library documents as the basis for developing interactive media used in vocabulary training. The method employed is a community-based participatory approach, with stages including preparation, lexical analysis, media development, training, and evaluation. Corpus analysis produced 27,800 word types with 200 high-frequency words and 1,350 distinctive local vocabulary items. The interactive media developed include multimedia modules, Wordwall quizzes, mobile-based gamification, and bilingual infographics. The training was attended by 40 participants, with evaluation results showing a significant improvement in the average post-test score (76.8) compared to the pre-test (42.5), and 82.5% of participants achieving scores ≥70. Furthermore, 90% of participants reported increased motivation to learn, and 85% considered the locally based materials more relevant. Thus, this PkM provides a tangible contribution to enhancing English literacy through local vocabulary and offers an interactive learning model that can be replicated in other regional libraries in Indonesia.

Based on the results of initial interviews and observations, it was found that several students still experienced difficulties in writing procedural texts effectively. These difficulties included a lack of understanding of the structure and characteristics of procedural texts, challenges in expressing ideas in written form, limited ability to compose coherent and communicative sentences, and the use of monotonous learning models that failed to stimulate student motivation. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model based on the Tri N approach (Niteni, Niroke, and Nambahake) to improve the procedural text writing skills of fourth-grade students at Sidomukti Elementary School, Ambal Sub-district, Kebumen Regency, as well as to identify the improvement in writing skills after its application. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the application of the PjBL model integrated with Tri N values significantly improved students’ ability to write procedural texts. The learning process was carried out through six main stages of PjBL: formulating essential questions, planning projects, creating schedules, monitoring student activities, testing results, and evaluating learning experiences. The integration with Tri N principles encouraged students to understand, imitate, and develop their writing skills gradually. Thus, the PjBL model based on Tri N proved effective in helping students overcome writing difficulties while also fostering creativity, independence, and active participation in the learning process.

Writing is a complex and fundamental language skill that plays a central role in developing students’ literacy, particularly in the context of producing negotiation texts. Negotiation texts are one of the text types taught in the Indonesian language curriculum that demand mastery of varied vocabulary, logical coherence, and persuasive language structures. Despite its importance, many students continue to face challenges in composing negotiation texts effectively. Difficulties are often found in choosing the right vocabulary, applying grammatical rules accurately, and constructing arguments that are logically consistent and persuasive. This study aims to analyze the extent to which students’ mastery of Indonesian vocabulary and grammar contributes to their ability to write negotiation texts. The research was conducted on class X students of MAN Kota Mojokerto using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through three techniques: analysis of students’ written negotiation texts, interviews with teachers and students, and classroom observations during the learning process. The results of the study reveal that most students demonstrate limited mastery of vocabulary, which results in repetitive word choices and restricted expression. In addition, weaknesses in grammar application often lead to inaccurate sentence construction, lack of cohesion, and unclear argument flow. These shortcomings significantly affect the quality of negotiation texts, which tend to be less persuasive, poorly structured, and unable to fulfill the standard criteria of negotiation text writing. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that vocabulary mastery and grammar proficiency play a crucial role in supporting students’ negotiation text writing skills. To address this issue, Indonesian language learning needs to adopt strategies that consistently emphasize writing practice, provide opportunities for vocabulary enrichment, and strengthen students’ grammatical competence. Such approaches are expected to improve students’ literacy levels, particularly in the production of negotiation texts.

The purpose of this study is to describe spelling errors in descriptive texts of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Lhokseumawe. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Data were collected using documentation and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques were carried out through several stages, namely collecting data samples and identifying errors, classifying data based on the type of spelling errors, and describing the forms of errors found. The results of the study indicate that many students still make spelling errors, such as errors in capitalization, writing basic words, redundant words, pronouns, prepositions, abbreviations and acronyms, period errors, and comma errors. These errors are caused by students' lack of accuracy and understanding in implementing Indonesian Spelling when writing. In this case, students must be given a better understanding of Indonesian Spelling. To overcome this problem, teachers have an important role in providing more intensive learning related to the implementation of Indonesian Spelling. One effort that can be done is to provide structured writing exercises, accompanied by direct feedback on spelling errors made by students. Furthermore, the use of digital learning media, such as spelling correction apps or interactive writing platforms, can help students improve their writing skills more effectively. With the right learning strategies, it is hoped that students will be able to understand spelling rules in depth and apply them correctly in every writing activity. Furthermore, students' writing skills also need to be honed through more varied activities, such as writing competitions, daily journals, or creative writing projects that require consistent application of spelling rules. Teachers can also implement a peer review method, where students correct each other's writing, thus creating collaborative learning that can increase language awareness.

In the academic world, proper and efficient reference management is essential to ensure the quality and credibility of scientific writing. However, many lecturers and education practitioners, particularly early childhood education teachers, still encounter difficulties in managing references according to established academic standards such as APA and MLA citation styles. This challenge often hinders the process of academic writing and decreases the quality of scholarly outputs. To address this issue, a structured training program was conducted focusing on the use of Mendeley, a digital reference management tool designed to simplify citation and bibliography management automatically. The objective of this training was to enhance participants’ technical competence, digital literacy, and their ability to integrate Mendeley into the process of preparing scientific papers. The training activities were carried out using a series of steps, including needs assessment of participants, collaborative planning, hybrid training implementation (both online and offline), and continuous assistance through follow-up forums. Throughout the program, participants were guided step-by-step on how to install, use, and integrate Mendeley into word processing applications for academic writing. The results of the evaluation showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge and practical skills, with an N-Gain score of 0.70, which falls into the high effectiveness category. The training not only improved the quality of reference management in scientific papers but also promoted greater professionalism and academic accountability.
