Gluten-free flour-based cookie products face a major challenge in producing physicochemical and sensory characteristics equivalent to wheat-based products due to the absence of gluten as a structural component. One common approach to address this issue is the addition of hydrocolloids, such as glucomannan and xanthan gum. This study aims to systematically examine the effect of the ratio of glucomannan and xanthan gum on the texture characteristics, spreadability, and sensory properties of gluten-free flour-based chocolate cookies using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The literature search process was carried out on several scientific databases using keywords related to gluten-free cookies, glucomannan, xanthan gum, texture, spreadability, and sensory properties. Selected articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, then analyzed and synthesized narratively with reference to the PRISMA guidelines. The results of the study indicate that xanthan gum tends to increase the hardness and structural stability of cookies, but can decrease spreadability and crispiness at high concentrations. Conversely, glucomannan plays a role in enhancing softness and mouthfeel through its high water-binding capacity, although it can potentially limit spreadability if used excessively. The combination of glucomannan and xanthan gum exhibits a synergistic effect in balancing textural characteristics and enhancing sensory acceptability. In conclusion, optimizing the ratio of glucomannan to xanthan gum is a key factor in developing gluten-free chocolate cookies with optimal physicochemical and sensory characteristics.

Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is essential for infant growth and immunity during the first six months of life. Despite its benefits, many primiparous mothers face challenges in maintaining EBF due to lack of experience, stress, and insufficient support. Husband support has been identified as a crucial social factor that can influence a mother’s confidence and success in breastfeeding. This study aimed to examine the relationship between husband support and the success of exclusive breastfeeding among primiparous mothers in the Kalibaru Public Health Center area. A cross-sectional correlational design was employed, with 90 primiparous mothers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires measuring husband support, including emotional, informational, and instrumental dimensions, and exclusive breastfeeding practice, following the World Health Organization (WHO) definition. Descriptive statistics summarized participants’ demographic characteristics and levels of support, while inferential analysis using the Chi-square test and Pearson correlation determined the association between husband support and EBF success. The results indicated that higher levels of husband support were significantly associated with successful exclusive breastfeeding among primiparous mothers (p < 0.05). Among the types of support, emotional and informational support were particularly influential in enhancing maternal confidence and overcoming breastfeeding challenges. These findings suggest that encouraging husband involvement through prenatal education, counseling, and family-based interventions can improve EBF rates. In conclusion, husband support plays a vital role in the successful practice of exclusive breastfeeding among first-time mothers. Health programs should actively involve fathers to provide emotional, informational, and practical support, thereby promoting optimal breastfeeding outcomes and infant health in the community.

Background: Malaria transmission in Indonesia exhibits substantial spatial and temporal heterogeneity, particularly between stable endemic areas and remote outbreak-prone areas. Although routine surveillance is crucial for malaria control and elimination efforts, its limitations can obscure early warning signals, particularly in geographically isolated areas. Objective: This study aimed to analyze malaria epidemiology by integrating routine surveillance data from endemic primary health care settings with results from high-mortality outbreak investigations in remote highland districts in Indonesia, focusing on temporal trends, spatial clustering, Plasmodium species patterns, diagnostic gaps, and mortality. Methods: A mixed epidemiology approach was used. A retrospective longitudinal analysis of routine malaria surveillance data was conducted for the period 2023–2025 in endemic settings, while a cross-sectoral outbreak investigation was conducted in remote highland districts. Descriptive analyses were conducted to assess trends, demographic characteristics, species distribution, spatial heterogeneity, case detection methods, and outbreak-related mortality. Results: Routine surveillance data revealed fluctuations in malaria transmission, with a significant decline in cases in 2024 followed by a sharp increase in 2025. Conversely, outbreak investigations documented high case fatality rates, particularly affecting children and older adults, caused by delayed diagnosis, limited diagnostic capacity, and limited access to timely treatment. Conclusions: These results highlight the dynamic and context-dependent nature of malaria epidemiology in Indonesia. Integrating routine surveillance with outbreak investigations provides a comprehensive understanding of endemic trends and systemic vulnerabilities. Strengthening adaptive surveillance, improving diagnostic capacity, and implementing spatially targeted interventions are crucial for preventing outbreaks and reducing malaria-related mortality, particularly in remote and high-risk areas.

Abortion is one of the pregnancy complications that still contributes to maternal morbidity and mortality, especially in the early trimester of pregnancy. Various maternal factors play a role in the occurrence of abortion, one of which is parity which reflects a mother's reproductive history. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parity and the incidence of abortion at Bumi Panua Pohuwato Hospital. The study used a quantitative approach with observational analytical design and cross-sectional design. The study population was all pregnant women who received obstetrics services at Bumi Panua Pohuwato Hospital during the study period. Samples were taken using a total sampling technique, so that all pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria were included in the study. The independent variable is parity, while the dependent variable is the incidence of abortion. Data were obtained from medical records and analyzed univariately to describe the characteristics of respondents, and bivariously using Chi-square test or Fisher Exact Test in accordance with the fulfillment of statistical requirements. The results showed that most of the respondents were in active reproductive age and first to second trimester pregnancy, with considerable parity variations. Bivariate analysis showed that parity did not have a statistically significant relationship with abortion incidence. The conclusion of this study shows that the incidence of abortion is not influenced by parity alone, but is likely influenced by the interaction of various other maternal factors. Therefore, abortion risk screening in antenatal services needs to be carried out comprehensively by considering various pregnancy risk factors.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in third-grade students at Al-Munawarah Elementary School, Sentani, Jayapura Regency. Using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, this study evaluated three main aspects: planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. The results showed that during the planning stage, teachers developed teaching modules that referred to Learning Outcomes (CP) and prepared assessment instruments in the form of projects and prompt questions. During the implementation stage, teachers implemented an inquiry-based learning model to encourage student engagement and utilized various media, from printed books to digital devices, which positively impacted student engagement in class. During the evaluation stage, teachers used cultural project assessments and Student Worksheets (LKPD), accompanied by positive feedback to motivate students. Although implementation generally proceeded according to the curriculum framework, obstacles were still encountered in the application of differentiated learning because teachers tended to use lecture methods and generalize the abilities of all students. Therefore, continuous improvement is needed so that learning planning can be more aligned with the characteristics and individual needs of each student.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of direct and indirect methods in teaching English, specifically the topic of "Telling Time," at MTs Al-Amiriyyah through microteaching practice. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consist of an English teacher and the students of class VIII A. The data were thematically analyzed to identify significant patterns in the teaching process. The findings indicate that the direct method is effective in building students' foundational understanding of time concepts, as it emphasizes explicit and concrete use of the target language and allows teachers to easily assess students' comprehension through drilling. On the other hand, the indirect method proved to enhance students’ ability to use English more naturally through contextual activities such as role play and daily schedule games. Moreover, students with kinesthetic learning styles responded more positively to the indirect method, as it enables them to learn through physical activity and direct participation. These findings suggest that a combination of both methods yields optimal results: the direct method is effective for the initial stage of concept acquisition, while the indirect method supports the development of communicative skills in a functional and enjoyable manner, aligning with students' characteristics.
