Christian transformational leadership offers an ideal model for church organizational development, but its implementation in the Indonesian context faces complex structural and cultural barriers. This study aims to identify and analyze the structural and cultural barriers that influence the implementation of Christian transformational leadership in Indonesian church organizations, analyze the mechanisms of organizational resistance and their implications for leadership effectiveness, and formulate adaptive strategies relevant to local dynamics. The method used is a qualitative literature study with a systematic literature review approach of the latest academic sources. The results show that structural barriers include limited human resource capacity, weak organizational infrastructure, and immature management systems, while cultural barriers are rooted in strong local traditions and resistance to new leadership models. Organizational resistance arises through mutually reinforcing interpersonal, organizational, and cultural mechanisms, resulting in decreased congregation participation and empowerment effectiveness. Effective adaptive strategies include participatory dialogue communication, continuous leadership development, acculturation of leadership to local values, and the formation of an inclusive organizational culture. This study concludes that the sustainable implementation of Christian transformational leadership requires a holistic approach that integrates changes in structure, culture, and interpersonal relationships while remaining sensitive to the local context and cultural wisdom.

This study aims to analyze public relations (PR) management practices and the leadership style of the Vice Principal for Public Relations (Waka Humas) in building a positive school image and establishing partnerships with industry sectors. The focus of the research lies in communication strategies, coordination patterns, and leadership approaches implemented to support school development programs based on industry collaboration. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that the Vice Principal for Public Relations applies strategic PR planning, including situation analysis, goal formulation, program implementation, and evaluation processes. Furthermore, a transformational leadership style is predominantly applied, characterized by the ability to motivate, inspire teachers and staff, and foster a collaborative culture in achieving school goals. This leadership approach has been proven effective in increasing stakeholder participation, expanding industrial networks, and strengthening the school’s image as an adaptive institution responsive to the needs of the workforce. Nevertheless, the study also identifies challenges related to limited resources, particularly concerning infrastructure support and time allocation for program implementation. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing the capacity of school public relations roles to ensure sustainable industrial partnerships and a strong institutional reputation.

This research is a literature review that examines various literature on the implications of transformational and transactional leadership. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of transformational and transactional leadership for Islamic educational institutions, as well as the similarities and differences in transformational and transactional leadership behaviors. The method used in this study is library research, using a qualitative approach with a rational approach method. The findings of this study show that transformational and transactional leadership have implications for each individual's commitment to organizational values and goals. Transformational leadership builds long-term relationships, while transactional leadership builds short-term relationships with subordinates based on shared goals and rewards are given when subordinates are able to achieve goals. Instead, sanctions are given if the objectives cannot be achieved. Creative and innovative behavior is not the main thing, but the status quo is considered important. Islamic education leaders can combine these two models to create a balance between innovation and achievement of results.

The transformational leadership style with the relational relationship model used will foster trust in followers which is capital for the growth and development of sharing knowledge. The results of research from Lowe et.al in 1996 on 39 transformational leadership studies conducted in various countries showed that transformational leadership was effective. This research aims to find the concept of cultivating transformational leadership in Islamic Education Institutions. Research result; 1) The cultivation of transformational leadership in Islamic educational institutions can be carried out based on centralized policies with a structured coercive approach either through official policies, guidebooks for heads of educational institutions or simply appeals supported by the practice of transformational leadership behavior by leaders above as a model; 2) The cultivation of transformational leadership in Islamic educational institutions can also be done using an awareness approach where every leader of an educational institution at every level is enlightened regarding the concept and practice of transformational leadership along with its advantages and disadvantages so that they are made aware of implementing transformational leadership; 3) In the context of educational institutions that adhere to a semi-centralized system such as in Indonesia with a pragmatic character possessed by the majority of madrasah and department heads, the first approach is more effective in cultivating transformational leadership throughout existing Islamic educational institutions.
