Interreligious dialogue in contemporary plural societies faces serious challenges, particularly due to differences in the use and interpretation of religious language, which is often understood in a monolithic and decontextualized manner. Religious language is frequently reduced to doctrinal propositions debated through logical arguments, thereby neglecting the form of life from which it emerges. This study aims to analyze the transformation of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s thought from the picture theory presented in Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus to the concept of language games developed in Philosophical Investigations, as well as its implications for understanding religious language and contemporary interreligious dialogue. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method through philosophical-conceptual analysis of Wittgenstein’s major works and relevant secondary literature. The findings indicate that the concept of language games allows religious language to be understood as a social practice with internal rules and contextual meanings, rather than as metaphysical propositions subject to empirical-logical verification. In the context of interreligious dialogue, this approach helps explain differences in the meanings of religious terms such as “salvation” or “God” without treating them as absolute logical contradictions. By viewing religious language as part of language games rooted in distinct forms of life, interreligious dialogue can be directed toward mutual understanding and respect for diversity rather than the pursuit of theological uniformity.

The rapid development of e-commerce as part of the broader digital transformation has introduced various new forms of transactions that were not explicitly recognized in classical Islamic jurisprudence. These include digital contracts, non-physical goods, cloud-based services, and electronic payment systems. Such innovations present a range of legal challenges, particularly concerning the validity of contracts, the legal status of digital products, the permissibility and security of electronic payment methods, and the protection of consumers in online transactions. To address these challenges, Islamic scholars have increasingly turned to ijtihad the process of independent reasoning and interpretation—as a methodology capable of providing legal solutions for contemporary issues. This study employs a qualitative approach, primarily through literature review, to examine the foundational principles of ijtihad, various methodological tools, and their applicability to different aspects of e-commerce transactions. The findings demonstrate that ijtihad methods, including qiyās (analogical reasoning), istislāh (consideration of public interest), istihsān (juridical preference), and ‘urf (customary practice), enable Islamic law to remain adaptive and flexible, while still oriented toward justice and public welfare. By applying these methods, Islamic jurisprudence can provide legal certainty, uphold fairness, and ensure that e-commerce practices align with Shariah principles, ultimately fostering trust and ethical behavior in the digital marketplace.

Globalization is a major phenomenon that brings rapid changes in the mindset, behavior, and culture of society, including students in formal educational settings. This condition presents significant challenges for Islamic Religious Education, which plays a crucial role in shaping character and internalizing Islamic values. This study aims to analyze how globalization influences students’ understanding, attitudes, and practices of Islamic values, as well as how Islamic Religious Education can respond adaptively to these changes. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method that reviews books, scholarly articles, and relevant documents related to globalization, Islamic education, and character formation. Data were analyzed through processes of collection, classification, and interpretation to identify patterns of global influence on Islamic values. The findings reveal that globalization offers two major impacts: opportunities for the development of religious literacy through technological and informational access, and threats in the form of external values such as hedonism, individualism, and decreasing religious sensitivity. These findings highlight the need for educational strategies that balance the use of technology with the reinforcement of Islamic character, including the integration of Islamic values into digital-based learning, strengthening teacher role modeling, and habituating moral behavior within school activities. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of innovation in Islamic Religious Education to maintain the relevance of Islamic values amid the ongoing developments of globalization.

This study explores the reconstruction of the concept of I‘tikāf through the scientific interpretation (tafsir ilmi) of the Qur’an, aiming to bridge the gap between spirituality and rationality. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods to analyze Qur’anic verses related to I‘tikāf and various classical and contemporary tafsir works. The primary sources include the Qur’an and interpretations from scholars such as M. Quraish Shihab, al-Maraghi, and Ibn ‘Ashur. The study finds that I‘tikāf, when viewed through the lens of scientific exegesis, offers not only a spiritual retreat but also a space for reflection, intellectual development, and personal transformation. This integrated understanding enhances the relevance of Qur’anic teachings in the context of modern life, emphasizing that spirituality and reason are not mutually exclusive but complementary in the Islamic worldview.

This study examines the ethics of social media use from the perspective of hadith and verses of the Qur'an with a focus on privacy and social responsibility. Social media, as a dominant communication tool, is often misused, resulting in privacy violations, the spread of inaccurate information, and other negative impacts. This study uses a literature approach to authentic hadiths and interpretations of verses of the Qur'an. The results of the study show that Islam prohibits the actions of tajasuss (spying) and ghibah (backbiting), as emphasized in the hadith: "Whoever spies on others, Allah will spy on him." In addition, QS. Al-Isra: 36 reminds us of the importance of verifying information before it is disseminated. The principle of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar requires social media users to encourage goodness, share positive content, and avoid destructive behavior, such as bullying or the spread of inappropriate content. The application of Islamic ethics in social media can reduce the negative impacts of technology while creating safer and more beneficial interactions in cyberspace.

This study aims to identify the influence of religiosity on customer decisions in choosing Islamic banks using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The SLR process includes the stages of identification, assessment, and interpretation of literature, which resulted in 18 articles from 18 journals published between 2015 and 2022, indexed by SINTA, and have E-ISSN. The results of the study indicate that the influence of customer religiosity still has opportunities and challenges to be improved. This can be seen from the low level of customer religiosity, which is indicated by the lack of religious calling that influences their attitudes and behavior, as well as limited understanding of the prohibition of usury and the use of Islamic banks only for profit. Indicators of religiosity that play a role in influencing customer decisions to choose Islamic banks include the quality of Islamic products, avoidance of usurious transactions, profit sharing principles, and Islamic features. There is a gap in results between the samples studied, which can be a research gap for further studies. Recommendations for improving customer decisions include increasing religiosity, fulfilling customer needs, and the effectiveness of Islamic financial literacy. This study can be used as a reference for further research on the role of religiosity in influencing customer decisions in choosing Islamic banks.

This research aims to explore the hermeneutical thought patterns of the Koran; Prof. Sahiron Syamsuddin uses descriptive qualitative methods with literature analysis. The research results show that the ma'na-cum-maghza hermeneutic method developed by Prof. Sahiron Syamsuddin is a development of various previous interpretive theories with no genuinely new elements. The proposed methodology must be more thorough, and the solutions and proposals are still general and ambiguous. Criticism of classical ulama's thinking is more dominant, and the absence of the word "Hermeneutical Tafsir of the Koran" shows that this method is impractical and can only be applied in a limited way. The implication is that this hermeneutics is unsuitable for studying the Koran because it can cause confusion and doubt. This approach is based on an attitude of skepticism and relativism, which places the Koranic text on par with other texts, resulting in uncertainty in meaning and interpretation that is relative and temporary. The use of the ma'na-cum-maghza hermeneutic method can result in the deconstruction of Islamic laws in the Koran and disrupt the structure of Islamic epistemology.

It has become an axiom that parents are responsible for their children's education. Parents are the first teachers for children. It is appropriate that since waiting for the birth of a child, even before marriage, prospective parents have planned how to raise and educate their children. The aim of this research is to describe the responsibilities of parents in raising children at an early age based on al-Maragh's interpretation of the Al-Qur'an verse 9 of Surah An-Nisa. This research uses a qualitative research method with a library approach, the main source of information is obtained from reading materials from books, magazines, articles and interpretations of the al-Maragh hadith which contain the thoughts of Imam al-Maragh. Data analysis was carried out through the following stages: data processing (unification), data classification, data interpretation. This research produced several results. First, the Al-Qur'an, Surah Al-Nisa verse 9, contains a warning to every parent that they will be worried and afraid if in the future they have to leave their child in a weak and helpless state. Second, parents are responsible for educating young children. The areas of education that are the responsibility of parents are physical and spiritual education, religious education, and character education.
