Formal education systems are often trapped in rigid standardization that actually shackles students' creativity and personal uniqueness. This issue raises questions about the extent to which individual freedom is accommodated in modern curricula that tend to be pragmatic. Departing from this issue, this study aims to explore the relevance of Jean-Jacques Rousseau's Romanticism which prioritizes affection and the general will in the context of education. Rousseau argued that the development of science and culture often acts as a chain that restrains humans, thus he proposed the concept of natural education that allows children's instincts to develop freely without damaging cultural intervention. Using qualitative methods based on literature review, this research identified a strong common ground between Rousseau's vision and Indonesia's Freedom to Learn policy. The study reveals that both share a common philosophical foundation: restoring educational sovereignty to institutions and students, allowing them to independently develop their potential, talents, and interests. Therefore, synchronizing Rousseau's ideas with Freedom to Learn serves as a crucial foundation for creating a higher-quality and more humane national education ecosystem.

Catechesis is a process of faith formation that aims to help the faithful, especially Catholic youth, to know, internalize, and live out the Christian faith in their daily lives. In the digital era, youth participation in ecclesial life tends to decline, as indicated by low involvement in Church activities. This condition is influenced by various factors, such as academic and work commitments, as well as the dominance of digital culture, which is often more appealing to young people than spiritual activities. This study aims to analyze the role of catechesis in increasing the participation of Catholic youth in the digital era and to examine the relevance of retreats and recollections as contextual forms of catechesis. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method, supported by observations of ecclesial life at the station level. The findings indicate that catechesis that is primarily informative is less effective in addressing the needs of young people, who seek a more personal and participatory faith experience. In this regard, retreats and recollections have the potential to serve as forms of catechesis that deepen faith experiences and encourage active participation in the life of the Church.

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the implementation of Regional Regulation of Gorontalo Regency Number 04 of 2014 concerning the Control of Livestock in Ilomata Village, Bilato District. This research employs an empirical legal method with a sociological juridical approach to examine law not only as written norms but also as a social practice within society. Data were collected through interviews with village officials, regional regulation enforcement officers, and livestock owners, as well as through documentation and literature studies. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively using Lawrence M. Friedman’s legal system theory and Soerjono Soekanto’s theory on factors influencing law enforcement. The results indicate that the implementation of the regional regulation has not been optimal. The influencing factors include legal substance, legal structure (law enforcement officers), facilities and infrastructure, community factors, and legal culture. Normatively, the regulation contains clear provisions; however, its implementation is hindered by inconsistent enforcement, limited supporting facilities, and low levels of public legal awareness. Legal culture and the lack of consistency among law enforcement officers are the most dominant factors affecting the effectiveness of the regulation’s implementation. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen consistent law enforcement, improve supporting facilities, and undertake continuous efforts to build public legal awareness in a participatory manner.

Digital spirituality is a way of living and expressing spiritual life within the context of the digital world, where technology serves as a medium to strengthen one’s relationship with God, oneself, and the community. It is therefore a conscious effort to maintain and nurture faith amid the overwhelming flow of information on social media. The concept of From Scroll to Soul encourages believers not merely to be passive recipients of information but to engage spiritually by using technology as a tool for faith formation. Practices such as using spiritual apps, participating in online communities, selecting constructive content, and conducting digital detoxes are important steps to maintain focus on God. Theologically, digital spirituality affirms that God is present in every aspect of life, including virtual spaces. Technology can become a tool of grace that deepens one’s relationship with God and serves as a space for witnessing faith when used wisely. Thus, digital spirituality is not a rejection of technology but rather its use as a medium for growth, testimony, and bringing Christ’s values into the modern information culture.

This study discusses the importance of family-focused Christian theology in building children's character in the digital era through the Christian Religious Education (PAK) approach. The transformation of information and communication technology has brought major changes, including in the fields of education and character formation. The digital era provides opportunities to increase knowledge and access to learning, but also raises challenges in the form of weakening moral values, integrity, and relationships within the family. The family as a divine institution has a primary role in teaching Christian values through role models, communication, and direct experience. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, which reviews literature and observations of Christian education practices both in families and schools. The results show that families have an important role in developing children's faith and character, while PAK serves as a link between faith education at home and formal education at school. PAK is considered relevant because it can unite students' cognitive, affective, and conative aspects in facing the influence of digital culture. Overall, family-based Christian theology supported by PAK has great relevance in shaping a young generation with integrity, critical thinking, and character. This approach not only instills knowledge of faith but also prepares students to become responsible and wise leaders in utilizing technology in accordance with Christian values.

Patient safety culture is an essential component in improving the quality of healthcare services and preventing medical errors in hospitals. However, the implementation of patient safety culture is often influenced by several organizational and individual factors, including situational awareness, availability of hospital infrastructure, and the balance between effort and rewards experienced by healthcare workers. This study aims to analyze the influence of situational awareness and hospital infrastructure on patient safety culture, with effort–reward imbalance acting as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at RSIA Tiara and involved healthcare workers as respondents. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was applied in this study. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to healthcare professionals and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that situational awareness has a significant positive effect on effort–reward imbalance and patient safety culture. Hospital infrastructure also significantly influences effort–reward imbalance and patient safety culture. Furthermore, effort–reward imbalance significantly affects patient safety culture and mediates the relationship between situational awareness, hospital infrastructure, and patient safety culture. These findings indicate that improving healthcare workers’ situational awareness and ensuring adequate hospital infrastructure can help reduce work imbalance and strengthen patient safety culture. In conclusion, hospital management should prioritize training programs to enhance situational awareness, improve supporting facilities, and implement fair reward systems to promote a sustainable and positive patient safety culture in healthcare organizations.

This study examines the local culture of Nagari Gadut as preserved through the traditions of Manjapuik Batu and Manampuang. The main issue addressed in this research is the limited written documentation and academic studies on these traditions, which are predominantly transmitted orally and are vulnerable to changes in meaning over time. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation, cultural meanings, and social functions of Manjapuik Batu and Manampuang within the community of Nagari Gadut. This research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through literature review, direct observation, and in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and local community members. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis to interpret the values and meanings of the traditions from the perspective of the supporting community. The findings indicate that the Manjapuik Batu tradition functions as a customary practice related to death rituals, emphasizing values of mutual cooperation, togetherness, and adherence to adat norms. Meanwhile, the Manampuang tradition reflects social solidarity, discipline, and principles of equality through the equal distribution of sacrificial meat to all participants. The study concludes that both traditions serve not only as local cultural heritage but also as value systems that shape the social character of the Nagari Gadut community and therefore need to be documented as part of cultural preservation efforts.

This study aims to analyze the influence of participatory leadership, supportive organizational culture, and work-life balance on employee job satisfaction. The research method employs a quantitative approach, using SEM-PLS analysis of data collected from PKWT employees at PT Graha Satu Tiga Tujuh. The results show that participatory leadership and supportive organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while work-life balance has no proven effect. Furthermore, work-life balance does not mediate the relationship between leadership and organizational culture with job satisfaction. These findings confirm that internal organizational factors, particularly leadership quality and work culture, have a greater impact on employee satisfaction than work-life balance. This study provides practical contributions to human resource management by offering strategies to enhance job satisfaction by strengthening leadership and organizational culture.

Bullying is a psychosocial hazard that can occur in the school environment and may negatively affect students’ mental health, social interactions, and learning processes. Bullying can take various forms, including physical, verbal, and psychological actions that occur repeatedly and cause victims to experience emotional distress, decreased learning motivation, and feelings of insecurity at school. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to increase high school students’ knowledge and awareness regarding the dangers of bullying and its prevention through the principles of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). The methods used in this activity included delivering educational materials through lectures, conducting question-and-answer sessions to assess students’ initial understanding, and facilitating interactive discussions to encourage active participation. Monitoring and evaluation were also conducted to assess the effectiveness of the activity. The results of the program indicated a significant improvement in students’ understanding and awareness of the forms, impacts, and prevention strategies related to bullying in the school environment. Students also demonstrated a more critical attitude toward bullying behavior and a greater awareness of the importance of creating a safe, healthy, and respectful school environment. The application of an OSH-based approach in bullying prevention is expected to strengthen the safety culture in schools and support the development of a conducive learning environment for all students.

The principal’s leadership plays a strategic role in determining the direction and quality of educational implementation in schools. This study aims to analyze the implementation of integrative leadership based on prophetic values through the application of transformational, instructional, and servant leadership styles at SMA Muhammadiyah PK Kottabarat Surakarta. Islamic-based schools face challenges in integrating academic excellence with the development of religious character; therefore, a leadership model is required that is not only managerially effective but also morally and spiritually grounded. This research employed a qualitative approach with a field study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques with triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that the integration of transformational, instructional, and servant leadership forms an Islamic Integrative Leadership model that combines a vision for change, the strengthening of learning quality, and the values of service and exemplary conduct within an Islamic framework. Transformational leadership fosters a shared vision and an innovative culture; instructional leadership enhances the quality of the learning process through effective academic supervision; while servant leadership creates a humanistic and participatory school climate. This leadership model contributes to improving teacher professionalism, strengthening students’ character, and establishing a religious school culture oriented toward holistic and sustainable educational quality.

This study aims to analyze the strategies implemented by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in shaping adolescent personality at SMA Negeri 1 Sragen. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using an interactive data analysis model. The findings indicate that personality development strategies were carried out in a planned, systematic, and collaborative manner through five main approaches: role modeling, religious habituation, integration of values into classroom instruction, personal mentoring, and collaboration among teachers. Role modeling emerged as the most dominant strategy, as students tend to imitate teachers’ behavior in daily interactions. Religious programs such as congregational prayer, Qur’anic recitation, Islamic student organization activities, and Friday religious programs function as instruments for internalizing religious and social values. These findings affirm that adolescent personality development requires an integrated strategy embedded within school culture and supported by a conducive educational environment.

This study examines how the transition from manual to digital services influences user satisfaction through digital service quality and user perception at the Marine and Fisheries Office of Pekalongan Regency. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining a quantitative survey (N = 40) using Pearson correlation analysis with qualitative interviews involving service leaders and operators. The results reveal very strong correlations between service quality, user perception, and user satisfaction, as well as the critical role of system stability and operator assistance in shaping user experience. Qualitative findings confirm that changes in work culture, leadership, and human resource adaptation are key factors in the success of digitalisation. The study implies that the success of digital public services is determined not only by technology but also by strengthening human resource capacity, simplifying service design, and providing operator support for users with low digital literacy. The limitations of this study include the small sample size, the single organisational context, and reliance on perception-based data. Future research is recommended to conduct comparative cross-agency studies, longitudinal approaches, and structural model testing to examine the mediating roles of digital literacy and operator assistance.

Waste-related issues have become increasingly complex environmental challenges as a result of population growth and shifting consumption patterns within society. Although Indonesia has established a legal framework through Law Number 18 of 2008 on Waste Management, its implementation at the community level continues to encounter various obstacles, particularly low legal awareness and an underdeveloped legal culture. This community service program aims to foster and strengthen a legal culture in waste management as an effort to promote environmental sustainability in Mrutuk Village, Widang District, Tuban Regency. The activities were conducted using participatory and descriptive approaches, including legal education, dissemination of waste management regulations, reinforcement of legal substance and enforcement structures, and community-based assistance. The results demonstrate an improvement in public understanding and awareness of the importance of managing waste in accordance with legal provisions, a shift in attitudes from compliance motivated by supervision toward voluntary compliance, and the emergence of community initiatives to actively engage in environmentally oriented waste management. Therefore, strengthening legal culture has proven to be a crucial instrument in encouraging environmentally responsible behavior and supporting the achievement of sustainable development.

An earthquake occurs when energy is suddenly released within the earth’s layers, potentially causing loss of life and environmental damage. One factor contributing to the high impact of earthquakes is the lack of student understanding and inadequate education on disaster preparedness. This study aimed to assess earthquake disaster management education at the Nur Adia Junior High School Education Foundation, Tanjung Selamat, Deli Serdang. A quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest and posttest was applied, involving 63 eighth-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure students’ knowledge before and after the educational intervention on earthquake disaster management. The results indicated that before the education, 69.8% of students rarely received information about earthquake causes, 61.9% had never participated in school earthquake evacuation simulations, and 55.5% had never practiced evacuation drills. After the educational intervention, knowledge improved, with 66.6% of students reporting that the program significantly increased their understanding of earthquakes. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (Sig. 2-tailed = 0.000 < 0.05), confirming the effectiveness of the intervention. The study concluded that education on earthquake disaster management can enhance students’ knowledge and preparedness. It is recommended that schools implement regular educational programs and disaster simulation exercises to cultivate students’ readiness and promote a culture of disaster preparedness within the school environment.

This research explores the narrative of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4:1-16 to dissect the concepts of sin and moral responsibility within a modern Christian context. Amidst the rising tide of individualism and "bystander culture," ethical responsibility toward others is often neglected behind religious formalities. Utilizing a qualitative method with a biblical exegesis approach, this study analyzes narrative structures, the personification of sin, and the dynamics of the dialogue between God and Cain. The findings indicate that sin in this text is understood as a relational failure and a failure of self-mastery, where humans possess the moral authority to conquer destructive impulses. Cain's rhetorical question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?”, is identified as a form of moral erosion leading to social and ecological alienation. However, God’s provision of a “mark” for Cain affirms that divine justice is always accompanied by the grace of providence. This research concludes that moral responsibility is a fundamental essence of humanity that demands the integration of ritual piety and social integrity. These findings are expected to serve as an ethical framework for academic and ecclesiastical communities, particularly in restoring the commitment to be “keepers” of one another amidst contemporary moral crises.

Diversity is an inherent aspect of social life, particularly in a multicultural society like Indonesia, which comprises various ethnicities, races, cultures, and religions. Differences in belief should not lead to conflict but instead foster mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. Islam, as a religion of rahmatan lil ‘alamin (a blessing for all creation), upholds tolerance as a fundamental social value. However, the Qur'an outlines certain limits to ensure tolerance does not compromise core principles of faith. This study aims to explore the concept and boundaries of religious tolerance from the perspectives of three prominent Nusantara exegetes: Shaikh Nawawi al-Bantani, Muhammad Hasbi al-Shiddieqy, and Buya Hamka, while identifying similarities and differences in their views. Using a library research method with a comparative descriptive analysis, the study examines their interpretations. The findings reveal that all three scholars share a consistent understanding of tolerance as an attitude of mutual respect, understanding, and acceptance of differences to achieve a peaceful and harmonious society. Nevertheless, they differ in defining its limits. Nawawi al-Bantani includes aspects of faith and politics, Hasbi emphasizes moral-based social interactions, and Hamka confines tolerance to social relations not related to faith.
