This study aims to comprehensively describe the psychological dynamics of Natta's character in the novel Rumah Tanpa Cahaya through the framework of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The main focus of the study is to analyze the structural interactions of personality including the Id, Ego, and Superego, and to identify various self defense mechanisms activated by the character due to the internal conflict he experiences. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a literary psychology approach as the main analytical basis for dissecting the hidden inner character. The results of the study indicate that Natta's character's behavior is a form of integrative struggle that demands immediate gratification (Id), rational consideration of painful reality (Ego), and strong moral pressure from the internalization of social norms (Superego). Natta's Id demands the fulfillment of basic needs for security and affection. Meanwhile, the Superego provides moral pressure that triggers disproportionate anxiety. Natta's Ego operates as a mediator that works hard to balance the drives of the Id and the demands of the Superego, which forces the Ego to activate self-defense mechanisms such as repression, rationalization, and especially sublimation. This mechanism serves as a psychic barrier to maintain her mental stability and prevent her from experiencing total collapse due to the accumulation of past trauma. Overall, this novel depicts the complexity of the human psyche in the face of existential crises and unresolved past wounds.

Breastfeeding failures frequently result in issues. Lack of information about proper breastfeeding technique is one of the issues that frequently arises in nursing women, leading to uncomfortable nipples when the infant does not suck the nipple down to the areola. According to the 2022 Indonesian Demographic Health Survey, 79.3 individuals had painful nipples. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how well breastfeeding practices work in relation to the prevalence of painful nipples among nursing moms at the South Bulango Community Health Center in 2025. This kind of study employs a cross-sectional, quantitative research approach. 47 nursing women who were chosen by accidental sampling served as the study's population and sample. There is a correlation between breastfeeding practices and the incidence of sore nipples at the South Bulango Health Center in 2025, according to the results of statistical testing using the chi-square test. The p value (0.000) is not greater than α (0.05), so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It is intended that the community, especially postpartum moms, would gain more understanding of the connection between breastfeeding methods and the prevalence of painful nipples in nursing moms.

Early mobilization is an important component of postpartum midwifery care to prevent complications, accelerate physical recovery, and improve maternal comfort after delivery. However, not all mothers are able to perform early mobilization optimally due to fatigue, pain, and decreased energy after delivery. Sukari date palm juice (Extractum Phoenix dactylifera) is known to contain simple carbohydrates, minerals, and bioactive compounds that have the potential to increase energy and accelerate maternal recovery. This study aims to analyze the effect of consuming Sukari date palm juice on accelerating early mobilization of postpartum mothers from day 1 to day 3 in the working area of the Sikui Community Health Center (UPT). The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group approach. The study sample consisted of 30 postpartum mothers divided into an intervention group (n=15) and a control group (n=15). Early mobilization ability was assessed based on the time the mother was able to sit, stand, and walk. The results showed that postpartum mothers in the intervention group experienced a significant acceleration in early mobilization compared to the control group, particularly in walking ability, with a time difference of up to 8–12 hours faster. The results of the Mann–Whitney statistical test showed a significant effect of date palm juice consumption on the acceleration of early mobilization (p < 0.001). Thus, Sukari date palm juice has been proven to be effective in accelerating early mobilization and can be recommended as a supporting nutritional intervention in postpartum midwifery care.

Pain is a prevalent issue frequently seen by pregnant women in their third trimester, attributable to physiological, biomechanical, and psychological alterations during gestation. Non-pharmacological pain management is essential as a secure alternative to enhance the comfort of pregnant women. Perinatal Yoga and Relaxation Techniques are two commonly endorsed non-pharmacological therapies; yet, comparative analyses of their efficacy remain scarce, particularly within primary health care settings. This study is to evaluate the efficacy of Perinatal Yoga against Relaxation Techniques in alleviating pain among pregnant women in their third trimester at the Bongo II Community Health Centre. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a two-group pretest-posttest methodology. The sample comprised 38 pregnant women in their third trimester, categorized into two groups: 19 participants in the Perinatal Yoga group and 19 participants in the Relaxation Techniques group. The Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) was utilized to assess pain severity prior to and following the intervention. A paired t-test was utilized for intra-group differences, whereas an independent t-test was employed to assess inter-group efficacy. The findings indicated that both Perinatal Yoga and Relaxation Techniques markedly diminished pain intensity in pregnant women throughout their third trimester (p<0.001). The decrease in pain in the Perinatal Yoga group was statistically significant compared to the Relaxation Technique group (p<0.05). This study concludes that Perinatal Yoga is superior than Relaxation Techniques in alleviating pain in pregnant women during their third trimester. Perinatal Yoga is indicated as an effective and practical non-pharmacological technique in antenatal treatment inside primary health facilities.

Labor pain is a significant challenge faced by in-partum mothers, with a prevalence of 70% in Indonesia, and 40% of women reporting severe pain (Central Statistics Agency, 2022). Conventional pharmacological methods often do not provide optimal results and can cause side effects. As a non-pharmacological alternative, oxytocin massage has shown promise in reducing labor pain intensity by stimulating the endogenous production of oxytocin, a natural analgesic hormone. This study aimed to assess the effect of oxytocin massage on labor pain intensity in in-partum mothers at Manado Medical Center Hospital. A pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test post-test approach was used. The sample consisted of 30 in-partum mothers who met the inclusion criteria. Pain intensity was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before and after a 30-minute oxytocin massage administered by trained health workers. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test. The results showed a significant reduction in pain intensity from an average of 7.23 (SD=1.08) before the massage to 4.63 (SD=1.11) afterward, with a decrease of 2.6 points. The proportion of mothers experiencing severe pain decreased from 50% to 20%, while mild pain increased from 16.7% to 46.7%. The paired t-test revealed a highly significant difference with t=10.274 (df=29), p=0.000 (p<0.05). In conclusion, oxytocin massage is an effective non-pharmacological intervention that can significantly reduce labor pain and improve the birth experience. It can be incorporated into standard maternity nursing protocols to enhance maternal care.

Dysmenorrhea, which is common in adolescent girls, is a painful menstrual cycle that frequently interferes with daily activities, both in the classroom and in social situations. Dysmenorrhea is a common condition that needs particular care as a reproductive health concern, notably among young people. Both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches can be used to treat dysmenorrhea. The use of warm water compresses is a simple, inexpensive, and effective non-pharmacological approach. By increasing blood vessel dilatation, enhancing blood circulation, lowering muscular tension, and lowering pain perceptions, warm water compresses aid in alleviating dysmenorrhea symptoms. The objective of this study is to assess the impact of warm compresses on the severity of dysmenorrhea pain scales in teenage girls at the Buntalo Community Health Center. The design of this trial was pre-experimental, using a one-group pretest-posttest technique. Using a purposive sampling method, a sample of 20 respondents was chosen. The Wilcoxon test was used to conduct the data analysis. According to the data, there was a statistically significant reduction in pain intensity, with a Z value of -4.065 and a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The average pain scale decreased from 2.95 to 1.80. Based on these findings, it is reasonable to conclude that warm water compresses are helpful in alleviating dysmenorrhea pain in young women. One of the suggestions for non-pharmacological treatments to help alleviate dysmenorrhea symptoms in adolescents is anticipated to be the outcome of this research.

Adolescent girls often complain of dysmenorrhea, or discomfort during menstruation, which can range from mild to severe and interfere with daily activities, especially learning. To prevent this disease from lowering the quality of life of adolescents, it must be treated. Education about dysmenorrhea and its treatment is one of the actions that can be taken. The study used a pre-experimental design approach, a quantitative research design, and a single-group pre-test-post-test research plan without a control group design. Using a proportional stratified random sampling approach, 57 female students of class X formed a research sample. The use of films on dysmenorrhea for health education serves as an independent variable of the study. Adolescent girls' knowledge and attitudes about dysmenorrhea function as a study-dependent variable. The validity and reliability of these instruments are checked. Univariate and bivariate analysis were used as data analysis methods in this study. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test is used for hypothesis testing. It was determined that health education using dysmenorrhea film had an impact on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls about the treatment of dysmenorrhea based on the findings of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test (Asymp.) with a value of 2-tailed 0.000 (p<0.05). The findings of the study showed that among grade 10 students at SMA Negeri 13 Selatan Halamahera, health education through dysmenorrhea films had an impact on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls about the treatment of dysmenorrhea.
