This study aims to design and evaluate lipstick preparations by utilizing solid paraffin as the base ingredient and lanolin as an emollient and stabilizer. Solid paraffin was chosen because of its dense properties at room temperature and having the ability to form a stable lipstick structure. In addition, paraffin can provide a smooth, durable surface, and provide good smearing power. On the other hand, lanolin is known as a natural emollient ingredient that functions to moisturize and protect the lips from dryness. Lanolin also has water-retaining properties (occlusive) so that lip moisture is maintained even if the lipstick is used for a long time. The process of making lipstick is carried out by the melting method using indirect heating to maintain the stability of the material and prevent color and aroma degradation. All materials are accurately weighed, then put into beaker glass and heated over three legs using a Bunsen lamp. During heating, the ingredients are gently stirred so that all the components, including solid paraffin and lanolin, melt and mix homogeneously. Once the mixture reaches the desired consistency, the formula is poured into the lipstick mold and allowed to set at room temperature until ready for use. The results of the evaluation test showed that the combination of solid paraffin and lanolin was able to create lipstick with an optimal solid texture, even color, not easy to crack, and had a smooth application power on the surface of the lips. Lanolin plays a big role in providing a soft, moisturizing effect and adding a natural shine to the lips. Meanwhile, solid paraffin helps maintain the shape of the lipstick so that it doesn't break easily when applied. This study also highlights the importance of comparing the composition of ingredients to produce lipsticks that have a stable melting point, good application power, and appropriate adhesion.

Slums are one of the biggest challenges in sustainable urban development. In the midst of the government's efforts to run a program to handle slum organizations, the issue of miscarriage after physical intervention often goes unnoticed. This study aims to stop the slum management program in Tegal Sari Mandala II Village, with a Mixed Methods approach that combines linear multiple quantitative regression analysis and a qualitative descriptive approach. The results show that community participation has a significant effect on poverty programs, while infra-structure quality has not shown a statistically strong relationship. Qualitative findings support these results, where residents feel more attached to the programs they have followed in the past. Meanwhile, a number of infrastructures that are not in accordance with needs are considered less effective in supporting sustainability. This study concludes that the desire of the program is not only determined by technical aspects, but also by social, institutional, and cultural factors that are intertwined. Strategic recommendations include strengthening participation, improving design based on local needs, and integration with spatial policies.

The existence of Final Waste Processing Sites (TPA) in urban areas often presents a dilemma between the need for waste management infrastructure and its environmental and social impacts on surrounding communities. This study aims to examine the impact of the TPA Terjun in Medan City on patterns of land use change and the socioeconomic conditions of nearby residents. The method used is quantitative, involving a survey of 150 respondents, and multiple linear regression analysis to test the influence of two independent variables namely, the characteristics of the TPA and public perception and response on community perceptions of environmental impacts. The results indicate that both independent variables have a significant simultaneous effect on public perception, with a model significance value of 0.022. Partially, the physical characteristics of the TPA have a significantly positive influence, while community perceptions and responses also contribute meaningfully. However, the low coefficient of determination (R² = 0.009) suggests that many other factors outside the model also influence perceptions of environmental impact. This study highlights the importance of a holistic approach in spatial planning and urban environmental management, particularly in relation to public facilities such as TPAs. Community participation, infrastructure quality, and zoning certainty are crucial factors in maintaining the balance between the functional needs of the city and the desired quality of the microenvironment.

family conflict is portrayed in the film Uang Panai Maha(R)l 2 using Roland Barthes' semiotic framework. The film reflects the social reality of the Bugis-Makassar community, which highly upholds cultural values, particularly regarding arranged marriage, family honor, and the significant role of parents in their children's lives. The main objective of this research is to understand how family conflict is represented through visible and spoken symbols within the film’s narrative. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing semiotic elements in several scenes that depict conflict, such as forced marriage, intergenerational differences, and the pressure of tradition against personal desires. The analysis is conducted through the three levels of meaning proposed by Barthes: denotation, connotation, and myth. The results show that Uang Panai Maha(R)l 2 illustrates the tension between traditional values and modern realities, which still occur within family life in Indonesia.

This study aims to examine whether there is a correlation between the hedonistic lifestyle of STIE Bima students and their aspiration to purchase an iPhone. The hedonistic lifestyle, which focuses on the pursuit of pleasure and instant gratification, often drives individuals to acquire luxury and prestigious items such as the iPhone. However, issues related to the product, such as fast battery drainage, poor performance, and blocked IMEI, have been documented by users. These problems can affect the brand image and purchasing intentions. Furthermore, the temporary nature of hedonistic pleasure causes consumers to continually seek new products to fulfill their emotional desires, which could influence their purchasing decisions. Additionally, negative perceptions of a product’s value, price, or quality may lead consumers to hesitate in making a purchase. Therefore, it is essential to understand how the hedonistic factor interacts with the intention to buy a specific product, particularly among students who are often the primary consumers of electronic products like the iPhone. This study uses a quantitative method with an associative research strategy to explain the relationship between a hedonistic lifestyle and purchase intention. A total of 96 STIE Bima students were selected as the sample, using the Lemeshow algorithm. Data were collected through questionnaires, direct observation, and literature review. Data analysis was performed using various statistical methods, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests (such as normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation), as well as multiple linear regression analysis. t-tests (both partial and simultaneous) were used to test the impact of each variable on purchase intention. Correlation coefficients were used to measure the strength of relationships between the variables studied. The results of this study are expected to provide insights into how a hedonistic lifestyle influences iPhone purchasing decisions among students.

Employee turnover intention remains one of the pressing challenges for organizations striving to maintain workforce stability. This study investigates how emotional intelligence influences employees’ intention to leave, with job satisfaction positioned as a mediating factor. Grounded in the Traditional Turnover Theory, the research was conducted at PT. Mabhakti, located at Jl. Nangka No. 29, Dangin Puri Kaja, North Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. The study involved a total of 40 employees, all of whom were included as respondents using a census or saturated sampling approach. Data collection was carried out through structured interviews and questionnaires, and the analysis was performed using path analysis via SPSS. The findings reveal that emotional intelligence negatively and significantly affects turnover intention, while it positively and significantly influences job satisfaction. Technology is now increasingly advanced and developing rapidly. Almost every aspect of human life is now assisted by technology, especially computerized technology. This technology has penetrated almost all aspects of life and significantly increased efficiency in completing work. With the existence of computerized technology, many processes that were previously time-consuming and labor-intensive can now be done more quickly, easily, and efficiently. One example of the application of technology in everyday life is the design of a smart cupboard for storing shallots. This smart cupboard is designed to help shallot farmers and sellers store their agricultural products more efficiently. The working system of this tool is similar to the method of storing shallots in traditional huts, but with more sophisticated technology. This smart cupboard can regulate temperature and humidity automatically, which is very important to maintain the quality of shallots. The optimal temperature for storing shallots is between 25º - 30º C, with air humidity around 50% - 60%. If the temperature or humidity in the cupboard does not match the desired conditions, the system will automatically activate the lights and fans to return the temperature and humidity to the desired level. With this automated control system, shallots can be kept fresh for longer, reducing the damage that typically occurs to shallots due to unstable temperature or humidity. The advantage of this smart cabinet is that it can maintain the quality of shallots for a long time, even when stored in large quantities. This greatly assists farmers and traders in reducing losses due to perishable shallots and increasing the efficiency of shallot storage and distribution.

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media and social environment on the hedonistic lifestyle among contemporary adolescents. A hedonistic lifestyle, which prioritizes the pursuit of personal pleasure and material satisfaction, has become increasingly prevalent among adolescents with the rapid development of technology, especially social media. This research employs a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and case studies involving adolescents who are active social media users in several major cities in Indonesia. The results indicate that social media plays a significant role in shaping ideal life standards that emphasize luxury, social status, and instant gratification, which influences adolescents to pursue similar lifestyles. Additionally, the social environment, particularly family and peer groups, further strengthens adolescents' desire to gain recognition and social status through a consumerist lifestyle. The study also finds that although a hedonistic lifestyle provides momentary satisfaction, its long-term effects can be detrimental both psychologically and financially, and can worsen self-image and emotional well-being among adolescents. Therefore, it is important to provide more comprehensive education to adolescents on the wise use of social media and support the development of healthier life values within family and school environments.
