This research presents the basic concept of learning interaction, especially in the Indonesian classroom. A literature review is a technique used in this study. The data collection technique was carried out by searching for library sources based on the outline topic, grouping library sources based on relevance to the subject and year of the research, then sequencing the structure of explanations and comparing interrelated data. The data is then analyzed through 3 steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study explained that in general the interaction is divided into three patterns, (1) one-way patterns, (2) two-way patterns, and (3) multi-directional patterns. All three are needed in the learning process. However, what should be more dominant is the multi-directional pattern. In language classes, especially Indonesian interactions, learning interaction aims to develop four aspects of language skills, namely (1) listening, (2) speaking, (3) reading and (4) writing. Each aspect of skill has its pattern, technique/method. In addition, teacher and student activities during learning can be classified into seven categories of interactions known as the Brown Interaction Analysis System (BIAS).

This study comprehensively investigated the gap in English tense mastery among non-English students. Data were collected using a qualitative case study methodology from seven purposively selected informants through in-depth interviews and direct observation. Key findings reveal persistent challenges, including significant anxiety around using complex tenses, the widespread influence of mother tongue interference (given the absence of explicit tense conjugations in Indonesian), and the limited effectiveness of traditional non-contextual grammar teaching. The observations also highlight a critical gap: although students use digital devices extensively, their engagement with English content is minimal, directly contributing to lower writing and speaking practice assessment scores. Instead, the unexpected finding was the student's remarkable ability to internalize the 16th pattern of the English tenses through memorization in just thirty minutes. These insights underscore the urgent need for innovative, contextual, and confidence-building pedagogical strategies to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and practical application, enhancing language acquisition and professional communication skills.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using history and geography texts as learning media in improving students’ Arabic language skills at Zainul Hasan Islamic Boarding School in Genggong Probolinggo. The background of this research departs from the need to present Arabic language learning that is more contextual and integrative, given the dominance of traditional methods that emphasize grammatical aspects alone. A descriptive qualitative approach was used with a case study method, involving classroom observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results showed that the integration of history and geography texts significantly improved students’ vocabulary acquisition, cultural understanding, as well as their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. The obstacles faced include limited thematic teaching materials, lack of teacher training in content-based approaches, and the complexity of text language. The solutions offered include the development of thematic teaching modules, teacher training, the use of visual media, and collaborative learning strategies. This study concludes that the use of history and geography texts is not only effective in language acquisition, but also in building cross-disciplinary connections that support the holistic development of santri competencies.

Writing in an activity to express thoughts and feelings in writing and indirecly. Writing is generally divided into two typpes, namely scientific writing and creative writing. Imaginary stories are texts produced from creative thoughts to create a story. So an effective learning model is also needed to write stories. PBL is a learning model that encourages students to solve a problem contextually. This research step uses the theory Miles and Huberman using triangulation data validation. Most students are able to write the orientation, complication, and resolution sections well. This can be seen from the majority of students who succeeded in compiling a complete orientation, displaying the conflict clearly in the complication, and the resolution of students in writing the conflict in its entirety in the resolution section. This shows that problem based learning (PBL) is effective in helping students understand the structure of imaginary stories and developing creativity and critical thinking skills in writing.

Scientific writing is an important competency that must be mastered by students, especially in writing a thesis as a requirement for graduation at the undergraduate level. One of the problems often encountered is the weak ability of students to manage references and compile citations in accordance with academic rules. This condition has the potential to reduce the quality of scientific work and violate the principle of academic integrity. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve students' understanding and skills in reference management through socialization of the use of the Zotero application. This activity was carried out at the Syekh Al-Hasan Ahmad Addary State Islamic University in Padangsidimpuan, involving 45 students as participants. The methods used were socialization and training, which included the delivery of conceptual material on scientific writing and citations, as well as practical assistance in using the Zotero application. The results of the activity showed that students gained a better understanding of the importance of reference management and were able to recognize the use of Zotero as a tool to systematically compile citations and bibliographies. The output of the activity was a Zotero usage guide document that can be used as a supporting reference in writing scientific papers. This activity contributes to improving students' academic and digital literacy and supports efforts to prevent plagiarism in the university environment.

This study explores the development of integrated language skills assessment instruments for Korean as a foreign language (KFL) learners in higher education, addressing the need for tools that reflect real-world communicative demands. Grounded in theoretical frameworks such as Bachman and Palmer's Communicative Language Ability model[1] and Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory[2], the research employed a mixed-methods approach, including needs analysis[6], corpus studies, and pilot testing. The research process involved three primary phases: First, a comprehensive needs analysis was conducted among KFL instructors and students to identify assessment gaps and priorities. Second, authentic Korean language materials were collected to create a corpus that informed the development of contextualized assessment tasks. Finally, the instruments underwent rigorous pilot testing with 127 KFL students across three Indonesian universities. The developed assessment instruments integrate reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through task-based scenarios that mirror authentic Korean language use contexts. These include collaborative problem-solving activities, multimedia-based comprehension tasks, and culturally situated role-plays. Statistical analysis demonstrated high inter-rater reliability (r=0.87) and construct validity when compared with established Korean proficiency measures. Results demonstrated the instruments' reliability, validity, and cultural relevance, fostering holistic skill development and promoting positive washback on teaching and learning practices. Implementation of these instruments led to significant improvements in students' integrated language performance and motivation. The study contributes to the field of Korean language assessment by providing empirically validated tools that bridge classroom learning with real-world language application in higher education contexts.
