This study examines the reproduction of social inequality in education through the theoretical framework of Pierre Bourdieu within a critical sociology perspective. The background of this research is rooted in the persistent gap in educational access, participation, and achievement among students from different social classes, which indicates that education does not always function as a tool for social mobility. The objective of this study is to analyze how mechanisms such as habitus, cultural capital, social capital, and the educational field contribute to sustaining inequality. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis within an educational setting characterized by diverse socio-economic backgrounds. The findings reveal that students from higher socio-economic backgrounds tend to possess dominant cultural capital and habitus that align with institutional expectations, giving them a significant advantage in academic achievement. Conversely, students from lower socio-economic backgrounds face structural and symbolic barriers that limit their opportunities. The study also finds that educational practices, including teaching methods and evaluation systems, implicitly favor certain groups, thereby reinforcing inequality. The implications of this research highlight the need for more inclusive educational policies and practices that recognize diverse forms of capital and promote equal opportunities for all students. Ultimately, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of how education functions as a site of social reproduction rather than merely a neutral institution.

This study is motivated by the growing gap between the normative principle of humanity in global human rights law and the practice of limiting violence in increasingly complex contemporary conflicts, particularly in the context of asymmetric warfare and the use of modern technology. The objective of this research is to critically analyze the integration between the principle of humanity in international law—especially through the principles of proportionality and distinction—and the framework of Islamic Sociological Jurisprudence Theory, which is oriented toward maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah and substantive justice. This research employs a normative juridical approach using a literature study method with a conceptual and comparative analysis of various sources of international law and contemporary Islamic law. The findings indicate that the procedural and calculative nature of global human rights law has not fully addressed the complexity of humanitarian impacts in modern conflicts, thereby necessitating a more holistic approach. The integration with Islamic Sociological Jurisprudence Theory proves to enrich the analysis by emphasizing the protection of life, public welfare, and a substantive evaluation of the impacts of violence, both direct and long-term. The implications of this study highlight the importance of reconstructing a paradigm of violence limitation that is more adaptive, humanistic, and contextual through a synthesis of universal values and Islamic ethical-theological principles in order to strengthen the protection of human dignity in the contemporary era.

The increasing use of mobile applications in the retail industry has generated a large volume of user reviews that contain valuable insights regarding customer experience and service quality. However, the unstructured nature of these reviews requires an automated approach to extract meaningful patterns efficiently. This study aims to perform sentiment analysis on user reviews of the Indomaret Poinku application by integrating lexicon-based labeling with machine learning classification. A total of 10,000 reviews were collected from Google Play Store and processed through a series of text preprocessing steps, including cleaning, case folding, normalization, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming. Sentiment labeling was performed using the Indonesian Sentiment Lexicon (InSet), producing three sentiment classes: positive, negative, and neutral. The labeled data were vectorized using CountVectorizer and classified using two algorithms: K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) and Random Forest (RF). Evaluation results show that Random Forest outperforms KNN, achieving an accuracy of 82.5%, compared to 69% for KNN. Random Forest demonstrates superior performance in handling high-dimensional sparse text features and yields more stable predictions across sentiment classes. This study contributes to the growing body of research on Indonesian sentiment analysis by demonstrating the effectiveness of combining lexicon-based labeling with ensemble learning methods, offering practical implications for developers seeking to improve the quality and user satisfaction of digital retail applications.

This study examines public service inefficiency in Indonesia during the digital era and its implications for achieving governmental organizational goals. Digital transformation through the implementation of e-government and technology-based public services is expected to improve effectiveness, transparency, and service quality. However, several challenges remain, including weak system integration, rigid and hierarchical bureaucratic structures, limited human resource competencies, lack of sustainable service innovation, and inadequate supervision mechanisms. This research employs a literature study method with a descriptive-qualitative approach by analyzing various academic sources such as journals, books, and relevant policy documents. The findings indicate that digitalization has not fully reduced inefficiency due to structural barriers, organizational behavior issues, and the lack of an adaptive work culture. Therefore, strengthening human resource competencies, improving digital system integration, encouraging continuous service innovation, and enhancing supervision are necessary to ensure that digital public services effectively support the achievement of organizational goals.

The proliferation of hoaxes in the era of information transparency, committed not only by the public but also by journalists, forms the background of this research. This phenomenon raises legal concerns because journalists are required to provide accurate, balanced, and responsible information in accordance with Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press. This study aims to examine the legal implications for journalists who engage in false reporting and to analyze how the law regulates the dissemination of false news by journalists. The research employs a normative juridical method using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. Data were obtained from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials and analyzed qualitatively using a deductive approach. The findings reveal that Law Number 40 of 1999 does not specifically regulate criminal sanctions for false reporting by journalists, but instead prioritizes settlement through the Press Council and the Journalistic Code of Ethics, including the right of reply and correction. Nevertheless, journalists may still face legal responsibility under the Indonesian Criminal Code and the Electronic Information and Transactions Law if false reporting fulfills criminal elements. Therefore, law functions both as a protector of press freedom and as a limitation to prevent abuse, with ethical, administrative, and criminal sanctions applicable to journalists and press institutions.

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has driven fundamental changes in the way organizations manage work processes, make decisions, and coordinate teams in digital environments. However, an integrated understanding of how AI-based leadership affects digital team performance, particularly through the roles of transformational leadership and digital literacy, remains limited and dispersed across different streams of literature. This study aims to analyze the role of AI in supporting digital leadership, identify its influence on decision-making effectiveness and team performance, and examine the challenges and ethical implications of its implementation in organizations. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by reviewing relevant scholarly literature on AI, leadership, digital literacy, human–AI collaboration, and digital team performance. The findings indicate that AI-based leadership can enhance team management effectiveness when implemented through transformational leadership practices that foster vision, change readiness, learning, and team coordination, and when supported by adequate digital literacy. Conversely, barriers such as low trust in AI, digital competency gaps, resistance to change, and ethical issues remain major challenges. This study contributes by offering a conceptual synthesis that positions AI-based leadership, transformational leadership, and digital literacy within a single framework to explain the optimization of digital team performance in modern work environments.

The book on the City of God and the City of Man is a masterpiece by St. Augustine that is very influential in the history of philosophy and theology. This book contains the background of Augustine's philosophical and theological reflections on the accusation of the destruction of the Roman Empire against Christianity. The City of God described in Augustine's perspective is a city that prioritizes love for God. While the City of Man is a city that reflects self-love. The implications of both types of cities in Augustine's perspective are very relevant to be discussed in the discourse on the concept of statehood. This paper also aims to analyze the relationship between democracy and capitalism in the perspective of Augustine of Hippo's thought, especially through the concept of civitas Dei (City of God) and civitas terrena (World City). This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach. The results of this study show that democracy and capitalism, although providing space for freedom, are vulnerable to deviations when not guided by the correct moral orientation. In light of Augustine's thought, the crisis in modern democracy such as; Money politics, media manipulation, and anarchic demonstrations reflect the dominance of self-love (amor sui) that characterizes the civitas terrena. Therefore, democracy can only operate fairly if it is rooted in moral values that lead to the common good (Bonum communae).

Early marriage is a social phenomenon that remains prevalent in Indonesia and gives rise to various problems in family life. This article aims to analyze the implications of early marriage in light of the Code of Canon Law (CCL) Nos. 1055 and 1056 in the context of Catholic couples. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach through a literature review of books, scientific journals, and Church documents. The findings indicate that the CIC affirms marriage as a sacred covenant between a man and a woman oriented toward the bonum coniugum (the good of the couple), openness to children, and characterized by unity and indissolubility. In the context of early marriage, various implications were identified, such as emotional immaturity that triggers domestic conflicts, a high risk of divorce, low levels of education, and impacts on the health of mothers and children. Additionally, early marriage also indicates a weak understanding of the sacramental dimension and family responsibilities, including childrearing. Thus, CIC Nos. 1055 and 1056 provide an important normative foundation that marriage requires human, spiritual, and social maturity for the realization of a wholesome and prosperous Catholic family.

This study aims to analyze the influence of Regional Original Revenue (PAD), General Allocation Fund (DAU), and Special Allocation Fund (DAK) on Capital Expenditure, with Budget Surplus (SiLPA) as a moderating variable in district and city governments across Banten Province for the 2020–2024 period. The background of this research is driven by the high regional dependence on central government transfer funds and the suboptimal allocation of capital expenditure as a key indicator of regional development. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from Local Government Budget Realization Reports (LRA), analyzed through Multiple Linear Regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) using statistical software. The results demonstrate that PAD has a significant positive effect on capital expenditure, whereas DAU and DAK do not show any significant influence. Furthermore, the interaction test reveals that SiLPA is unable to moderate the relationship between PAD, DAU, or DAK and capital expenditure. These findings indicate that regional fiscal independence, through the optimization of PAD, serves as the primary determinant for capital investment. The implications of this study suggest that local governments should further optimize local revenue potential to reduce dependency on transfer funds and improve budget management efficiency to support sustainable regional development.

Corporate Income Tax payable is an important component of state revenue which is influenced by the company's financial performance and capital structure. The debt-equity ratio has direct implications for taxable profits through the recognition of interest expense as a fiscal deduction. An analysis of financial ratios that reflect the capital structure is necessary to assess its effect on the amount of tax payable. This study examines the Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Long Term Debt to Asset Ratio (LDAR), and Long Term Debt to Equity Ratio (LDER) using secondary data from financial statements of consumer goods industry companies on the IDX for the 2020–2024 period. The quantitative approach was applied through multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS and purposive sampling techniques. The results of the partial test show that DAR and LDER have no effect on the Income Tax of the Payable Entity. On the other hand, DER and LDAR have been proven to have a significant effect on the Income Tax of the debtable Entity. Simultaneous testing showed that all variables together had a significant effect on taxes payable. These findings provide practical implications for management in optimizing capital structure policies to improve tax efficiency measurably. Theoretically, the results of this study strengthen the agency theory through the role of debt as a managerial discipline mechanism and support the signal theory that the capital structure is an indicator of information for external parties regarding the company's financial condition.

Travertine is a non-marine carbonate rock precipitated from calcium- and bicarbonate-rich waters, commonly associated with hot springs, streams, and lakes in tectonically active regions. This study presents a systematic literature review of travertine deposit characteristics, encompassing mineralogical composition, geochemical signatures, petrographic textures, morphological types, isotopic properties, biotic–abiotic controls on formation, early diagenesis, and petrophysical implications. The synthesis indicates that travertine is predominantly composed of calcite, with aragonite forming under conditions of elevated temperature, high Mg/Ca ratios, and rapid CO₂ degassing. Travertines display exceptional textural diversity, ranging from abiotic crystalline crusts to microbially mediated fabrics such as shrub, peloidal, and stromatolitic structures. Major morphologies include fissure ridges, mounds, terraces, cascades, and slopes, strongly governed by tectonic setting, topography, hydrology, and substrate geology. Stable isotopes (δ¹³C and δ¹⁸O), strontium isotopes, trace elements, and REE patterns effectively constrain fluid provenance and distinguish thermogene from meteogene travertines. Microbial activity plays a crucial role in biomineralization, influencing precipitation rates, crystal morphology, and lamination patterns. Early diagenetic processes occurring during active deposition may significantly modify primary fabrics and geochemical signals. Travertine petrophysical properties exhibit distinctive porosity–velocity relationships, making them valuable analogues for subsurface carbonate reservoirs. This review highlights that travertines record complex interactions among physical, chemical, biological, and geological processes and hold significant value for paleoenvironmental reconstruction and carbonate reservoir studies.

This study examines the effect of transfer pricing, thin capitalization, and intangible assets on tax avoidance among manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2022-2024. Using a purposive sampling method, 90 firms were selected, yielding 262 firm-year observations after removing 8 outliers from an initial pool of 270. Tax avoidance is proxied by the Cash Effective Tax Rate (CETR); transfer pricing by the Related Party Transaction ratio (RPT); thin capitalization by the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER); and intangible assets by the ratio of intangible assets to total assets. The results indicate that transfer pricing has a significant negative effect on tax avoidance, thin capitalization has a significant negative effect on tax avoidance, and intangible assets do not significantly affect tax avoidance. The model is jointly significant (F = 25.422; p < .001) with an Adjusted R² of 21.92%, indicating that 21.92% of the variation in tax avoidance is explained by the three independent variables. These findings carry important implications for tax authorities seeking to strengthen oversight of related-party transactions and the capital structures of multinational enterprises.
