According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the level of education and welfare in the family greatly influences the quality of human resources in Indonesia. Therefore, efforts to strengthen family functions, such as increasing parental education and social welfare programs, are key in accelerating national development. This increase in human resources includes knowledge and skills in processing agricultural products, especially rambutan fruit, crystal guava and longan into processed food products with higher selling value such as chips. Apart from that, this program also trains them in creative product packaging, marketing, bookkeeping, simple financial management, and the use of digital technology, including online learning applications and social media. With these skills, they are expected to be able to contribute to improving the family's economy, as well as opening up new business opportunities that support financial independence.

Industrial policy in Indonesia faces significant challenges in an era of increasingly complex globalization. Globalization brings great opportunities for domestic companies to compete globally, but also poses risks such as economic inequality and unemployment. To address these challenges, the government needs to develop a smart industrial policy that not only encourages sectoral growth but also stimulates cross-sectoral innovation. Selecting imported goods, imposing high import fees on commodities that can already be produced domestically, and providing capital injections to companies with comparative advantages are effective ways to protect local industries from the negative impacts of globalization. Digitalization must also go hand in hand with the implementation of this strategy so that sectors can use digital technology to increase productivity and create new economic opportunities, especially for micro, small, and start-up businesses. Furthermore, Indonesia's economic strength in navigating the problems of globalization may lie in its integration with the creative economy. Indonesia's industrial economy requires creative and innovative human resources so that the creative sector can develop and compete on a global scale.

The creative industry holds significant potential in providing economic opportunities, especially for children with special needs (CSN), who often face limitations in independently utilizing their skills after graduating from school. A community service program at SLB 1 Payakumbuh aims to empower CSN through training in creative skills, managerial reinforcement, and product marketing. Using a practice-based approach, this training includes crafting production, graphic design, and introducing digital marketing platforms. The results indicate an improvement in technical skills and self-confidence, enabling CSN to produce high-quality products with competitive market value. Nevertheless, challenges remain, particularly in accessing capital, equipment, and business network support. This program also seeks to connect CSN with local communities and business actors to foster collaborations that support the sustainability of their creative enterprises. Through entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and adequate facilities, CSN are expected to contribute independently to the creative economy while inspiring other communities to empower similar potential.

The culinary industry in Indonesia is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the creative economy, contributing approximately 41% to the total GDP of the creative economy in 2020. However, product marketing challenges remain a significant obstacle for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in this sector. Issues such as limited marketing skills, intense competition, and restricted access to digital technology hinder MSMEs' competitiveness. Mie Ayam Pak Sorodi, as one of the MSMEs, faces challenges in digital marketing, including the absence of digital payment systems and social media platforms. This community service aims to assist the MSME in adopting digital transformation by creating social media profiles, adding business locations to Google Maps, and implementing QRIS payment systems. The methods include direct mentoring and technical training for business owners. The results indicate an improvement in market reach, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. This digital transformation is expected to enhance competitiveness and business sustainability in an increasingly competitive market (Ftindustri, n.d.).

This study examines how women entrepreneurs in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the creative economy sector leverage digital technology to strengthen their roles in the urban tourism ecosystem. Using a qualitative approach supported by secondary data and non-intervention observations over six months in South Jakarta, the study analyzes the dynamics of digital adoption, the cultural value of creative products, and structural barriers affecting women's entrepreneurial experiences. The findings reveal that digital utilization is most prominent on easily accessible platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp, while the use of more complex tools, such as marketplaces, websites, and analytics, remains limited. Women’s creative products, in subsectors like culinary, crafts, fashion, and others, prove to enrich the tourism experience and reinforce the city's destination identity. However, low digital literacy, minimal mentoring, and weak integration into the formal tourism supply chain hinder the optimization of these potentials. Additionally, the digital adoption patterns found support the Technology Acceptance Model's explanation that the perceived ease of use is a key factor in early technology adoption. This study fills an important gap in the literature by linking gender issues, digital transformation, the creative economy, and urban tourism within a unified framework. The research emphasizes the importance of strengthening digital capabilities and structured collaboration between women-led MSMEs and tourism stakeholders to enhance the sustainable competitiveness of destinations.
