This community service activity aims to enhance digital literacy and digital entrepreneurship skills among teachers and students (santri) at Pondok Pesantren Al Ittihad Darunnajah. The main issue faced by the partner institution is the low level of understanding in utilizing digital technology as a medium for business development. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the program was carried out through stages of observation, planning, training, and evaluation, employing lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice with digital platforms. The results show a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of digital entrepreneurship, online marketing, and technology-based business management. Participants were able to apply basic skills such as creating e-commerce accounts, promoting products, and managing simple financial records. Overall, this program successfully fostered student independence and economic empowerment through the utilization of digital technology and strengthened the role of the pesantren as a center for modern entrepreneurial development.

Social media has become the primary platform for students to express themselves and build their professional reputation. However, many students have not yet fully utilized social media to support their careers and academic image. This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and skills of students at the University of Makassar (UNM) in building a strong personal brand through social media. The implementation method includes socialization, training, and direct mentoring for students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNM. The evaluation was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvement in knowledge and skills of the participants. The results show a significant increase in students' understanding, with the average score improving from a moderate level to an excellent level. Moreover, the majority of participants have begun to apply personal branding content strategies on their social media platforms. This training has been effective in raising students' awareness of the importance of building a professional image in the digital world. With a better understanding of personal branding, students are expected to leverage social media positively to strengthen their professional reputation and open up career opportunities in the future.

This research compares legal entity licensing systems in Indonesia and other ASEAN member states in response to the growing need for regulatory harmonization and improved ease of doing business within the region, particularly after ASEAN economic integration accelerated cross border investment activities. Differences in administrative requirements, processing duration, and the level of digitalization among countries often create barriers for business expansion, making a comparative assessment essential to understand Indonesia’s current position and identify potential improvements. The main objective of this study is to analyze the characteristics of Indonesia’s legal entity licensing system by comparing it with ASEAN countries that have adopted more advanced administrative reforms, while also evaluating how regional best practices can inform national policy development. The study applies a qualitative method using a descriptive comparative approach, focusing on regulatory frameworks, institutional arrangements, levels of digital integration, and indicators related to ease of doing business. The results show that although Indonesia has introduced electronic licensing systems, several challenges remain, including uneven implementation, overlapping institutional authority, and variations in service quality across regions. In contrast, countries such as Singapore and Malaysia have established licensing systems that are more integrated, transparent, and oriented toward user needs, resulting in greater legal certainty for investors. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening regulatory alignment, improving digital system integration, and enhancing institutional capacity so that Indonesia can reach efficiency levels comparable to its regional counterparts and contribute to a more competitive and sustainable ASEAN business environment.

This community service program aims to strengthen institutional capacity and develop the business units of the Padangan Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) through enhanced managerial capabilities, business innovation, and enhanced digital marketing strategies tailored to local potential and needs. The program was implemented using a participatory empowerment approach involving various stakeholders, including the village government and local economic actors. The methods used included needs assessment, management and entrepreneurship training, intensive mentoring, and collaborative business planning. The program's results demonstrated significant improvements in BUMDes organizational governance, administrative professionalism, and a more organized and accountable financial reporting system. Furthermore, business unit diversification, local product quality improvement, and community capacity to utilize digital technology for marketing activities increased. The program also provided academic contributions in the form of empirical data and an applicable model of village empowerment based on Islamic economics. Overall, empowerment based on participation and Islamic economic values ​​has been proven to promote sustainable village economic resilience and independence.

Food-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in supporting household economic growth, including in Sialang Village, Bangkinang Subdistrict. One of the local businesses, “Keripik Cabe dan Mie Kuning Bu Inun,” produces cassava chips using traditional frying methods, which result in high oil absorption, inconsistent quality, short shelf life, and low production efficiency. Limited knowledge of food processing technology, sanitation, and food safety standards further hinders business development. This community service program aims to address these challenges through the application of low-oil frying technology, training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), production assistance, and periodic evaluation. The implementation method includes field observation, technical training, technology demonstration, production mentoring, and monitoring. The results show significant improvements in product quality, indicated by lower oil content, crispier texture, brighter color, and longer shelf life. Efficiency in oil usage and process stability also increased. Moreover, the knowledge and skills of MSME actors in sanitation, food safety, and production management improved considerably. Overall, the program successfully enhanced the competitiveness of the MSME, strengthened production sustainability, and provided positive economic impacts. This initiative can serve as a replicable model for other food MSMEs facing similar challenges.

Cooperatives play an essential role in supporting local economic development, yet many struggle with limited managerial competence and the absence of structured business planning. This community service program was conducted to enhance the capacity of cooperative managers in Semarang Regency through a three-day intensive training on business plan development. Hosted at The Wujil Resort & Conventions from May 22–24, 2023, the program involved 30 participants representing various cooperatives. The training combined interactive lectures, workshops, group discussions, and hands-on business plan drafting. Results indicate significant improvement in participants’ understanding of business planning, strategic thinking, financial projection, and market analysis. Participants also produced draft business plans tailored to their cooperative units. The program contributes to strengthening local cooperative governance and offers a replicable model for capacity building in community-based economic institutions.

The program “Youth Empowerment in Developing UMKM Assets through a Basic Business Management Workshop in Balung Lor Village” aims to address the low involvement of youth in the village’s micro-business sector, which is currently dominated by elderly entrepreneurs. This community service initiative applies the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach using observation, interviews, focus group discussions, and community asset mapping. The theoretical framework of asset-based empowerment positions youth as a crucial human asset for economic regeneration. The discussion highlights entrepreneurial mindset building, basic business literacy, digital marketing skills, and youth creativity in generating new economic initiatives. The results show significant improvement in youth understanding of production costing, capital management, business planning, and social media-based promotion. In conclusion, the ABCD approach effectively enhances youth participation in local economic development, strengthens UMKM sustainability, and lays a solid foundation for creating a future generation of adaptive and innovative village entrepreneurs.  

Generation Z is recognized as a group that is adaptive to technological developments; however, they still face serious challenges in terms of financial management. Based on the National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2022, the level of financial literacy in South Kalimantan is still far below the national average, at only 42.88% compared to 49.68%. This low level of financial literacy often triggers consumptive behavior and lack of responsibility in financial decision-making. This community service activity aims to enhance comprehensive understanding of financial literacy, build skills in financial management and recording, and foster interest in safe investment through education digitalization. The implementation method includes material delivery through socialization, followed by discussion and question-and-answer sessions, as well as evaluation using Pre-Test and Post-Test instruments. The results of the activity demonstrate an increase in understanding, as reflected by the increase in the average scores from 75,33 in the Pre-Test to 100 in the Post-Test, indicating a 24,67% improvement. Thus, this activity not only enhanced understanding but also fostered awareness of the importance of wise financial management in the face of digital economic challenges.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in alleviating poverty, with a case study focus on Sei Jang Village, Tanjungpinang City. PKH is a social assistance program initiated by the government to improve the welfare of the poor through conditional cash assistance. The reason the researcher chose this title was to determine the extent to which PKH is effective in reducing poverty, especially since data shows a decline in the number of PKH recipients in Sei Jang Village in 2023. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. To measure the level of effectiveness, the theory from (Makmur, 2015) was used, which states that the elements of effectiveness include accuracy in timing, accuracy in calculation, accuracy in measurement, accuracy in decision making, accuracy in thinking, accuracy in carrying out orders, accuracy in determining goals, and accuracy in targeting. The results of the study show that PKH has had a positive impact on reducing the economic burden on poor families, particularly in meeting the educational and health needs of children. However, the effectiveness of this program is still hampered by several factors, such as delays in fund disbursement, participants' lack of understanding of the program's terms and conditions, and minimal assistance from relevant officials. In addition, another challenge in the form of inaccuracy in targeting beneficiaries also affects the overall achievement of the program. These findings indicate that better management and supervision are urgently needed. This study concludes that although PKH contributes significantly to poverty alleviation, improvements in management and supervision are needed to maximize the program's objectives. The proposed recommendations include increasing the capacity of social workers, improving the beneficiary selection mechanism, and strengthening coordination among stakeholders at the local level.

Corn is one of the potential agricultural commodities in Bah Joga Village however, its utilization has mostly been limited to traditional products, resulting in relatively low economic value. This study aims to introduce corn ribs as an innovative food product derived from local corn, which is expected to strengthen the empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the village. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through observation, interviews, and literature review related to food innovation and small business development. The findings indicate that corn ribs have promising market potential since they combine flavors that suit modern consumer preferences with raw materials that are easily accessible locally. Furthermore, processing corn into corn ribs can increase the selling value of agricultural products, open new business opportunities, and enhance the competitiveness of local MSMEs. Therefore, this innovation not only contributes to the diversification of food products but also supports the economic improvement of Bah Joga Village through the development of creative enterprises based on local resources.

The objectives of this community service activity are: First, to increase members' understanding of the concepts of leadership and effective organizational governance. Second, to strengthen the capacity of youth in entrepreneurship. Third, to equip them with the skills to develop innovative and adaptive work programs tailored to local needs. The methods used in this activity include workshops focused on delivering theoretical material, practical technical guidance or training applied to train participants in effective leadership and good organizational management, and mentoring methods implemented using a participatory approach. The evaluation of the activity showed significant improvements in knowledge, skills, and attitudes across three aspects that have historically hindered partners: education, social issues, and economics. In conclusion, there was a significant improvement overall after the community service activity, at 56%. The highest level of understanding among participants is the importance of leadership as a driving force for the organization, but to develop an entrepreneurial attitude as a foundation for independence and competitiveness, continuous reinforcement is needed so that Karang members can be prepared as an independent generation.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of natural resource management, particularly water and soil, in increasing agricultural production in Sampali Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. The research approach used was descriptive qualitative through field observations, in-depth interviews with farmers and village officials, and documentation studies from relevant agencies. The results indicate that the irrigation system in Sampali Village is not operating effectively, characterized by shallowing of canals, damaged irrigation walls, and blockages that cause uneven water distribution. This condition has a significant impact on crop yields, with a difference in production between upstream and downstream areas reaching 1.9 tons/ha. Furthermore, soil quality has also declined due to the excessive use of chemical fertilizers, as indicated by a soil pH that tends to be acidic (5.4–6.0), low organic matter content (1.2–1.8%), and decreased soil biological activity. Factors influencing the effectiveness of water and soil management include technical, environmental, socio-economic, and institutional aspects. This study concludes that natural resource management in Sampali Village is still suboptimal, necessitating improvements to irrigation infrastructure, increased use of organic fertilizers, and institutional strengthening and farmer mentoring. These efforts are expected to support sustainable agricultural productivity gains.  

This Community Service Program aims to enhance the awareness, knowledge, and practical skills of teachers and students at SD Negeri 2 Palembang in carrying out independent waste management. The main issue identified was the lack of awareness and discipline in sorting organic and inorganic waste, which contributes to environmental pollution and poor hygiene within the school area. The program was implemented through lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on training involving the use of separate bins for different waste types. The results demonstrated a remarkable improvement in waste management understanding and behavior. Teachers and students have developed new habits of waste sorting before disposal, resulting in a cleaner, healthier, and more pleasant school environment. Additionally, the activity inspired creativity in transforming inorganic waste into useful and economically valuable crafts that can be reused. Overall, this program fostered environmental awareness, strengthened community participation, and encouraged sustainable waste management practices as part of daily school culture.

The main problem in empowering fish farming communities in Dawuhan Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency is how to empower communities through the Peti Koin Bermantra Program in Dawuhan Village, Malang Regency, such as low managerial capacity, weather constraints, high feed prices, and limited market access, which have an impact on the suboptimal economic improvement of the community. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Peti Koin Bermantra Program in empowering fish farming communities to improve their economic welfare. The study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, as well as the community empowerment theory of Hashemi, Schuler, and Riley (1996). The results show that the Peti Koin Bermantra Program contributes positively to improving community welfare through eight empowerment indicators, such as increased mobility, small-scale purchasing power, ability to make larger purchases, involvement in major decisions, freedom, political and legal awareness, participation in public protests and political campaigns, economic security, and contribution to family support. The success of the program was supported by collaboration between facilitators, the East Java Provincial Marine and Fisheries Service, and the Malang Regency Fisheries Service, although there were still obstacles in terms of capital, group management, and product innovation. This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted to address work-related stress experienced by partner institutions amid economic uncertainty and rapid digital transformation, particularly in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). The main issues identified included role ambiguity, job insecurity, and increasing demands for competency adaptation, which contribute to psychological stress, emotional exhaustion, reduced well-being, and declining work effectiveness. To respond to these challenges, the implementation team organized educational activities in the form of seminars and interactive sharing sessions titled “Thriving at Work in the AI Era: The Dynamics of Work Stress.” The program aimed to enhance participants’ understanding, awareness, and skills in identifying sources of work stress and applying adaptive stress management strategies. A participatory education method was applied, beginning with a pre-test and concluding with a post-test to assess changes in participants’ knowledge. The results showed a notable improvement in understanding, as reflected by a decrease in incorrect responses from 27.2% to 10.8% and an increase in correct responses from 72.8% to 89.2%. The implementation process consisted of three stages: preparation (team coordination, partner needs analysis, material development, and technical preparation), implementation (delivery of materials and interactive discussions), and evaluation and reporting. The mandatory outputs of this program include a PKM report and the publication of an article in a community service journal. Additional outputs involve dissemination through mass media and the development of a booklet intended for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) registration.

The transition toward Society 5.0 demands a workforce capable of integrating technological proficiency with strong human-centered soft skills. This community engagement program aims to enhance the digital mindset and soft skills of PKK women in Boja District, Kendal Regency through a structured mentoring model rooted in human-centered learning principles. Using a needs assessment, experiential training sessions, and group mentoring, the program focused on increasing participants’ abilities in digital literacy, communication, collaboration, creativity, and community-based leadership. The mentoring activities revealed significant improvements in participants’ understanding of basic digital functions, such as the use of smartphones for communication, information access, and household economic opportunities. Engagement in interactive sessions—such as role play, guided discussions, and problem-solving simulations—strengthened participants’ confidence, interpersonal communication, and teamwork skills. Furthermore, several participants demonstrated emerging leadership abilities, particularly in facilitating peer learning and supporting other members during digital practice activities. These findings align with recent literature emphasizing the effectiveness of contextual digital training and experiential adult learning in promoting behavioral change and improving community readiness for technological transformation. Overall, the program successfully enhanced the participants’ readiness to face the challenges of Society 5.0 by fostering digital mindset growth, essential soft skills development, and strengthened leadership capacity. The results indicate that human-centered mentoring can serve as a sustainable approach to empowering local communities and improving their competitiveness in the digital era.  

This community service activity aims to enhance supply chain efficiency and expand market access for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Wabula Satu Village, Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The main problems faced by MSMEs include inefficient supply chain management, limited production coordination, and low utilization of digital technology for product marketing. The program was implemented using an educational-participatory approach through a series of training sessions, simulations, and mentoring activities. The results revealed significant improvements in participants’ understanding of supply chain management, production efficiency, and digital marketing skills, particularly through social media and marketplace platforms. MSMEs also showed progress in branding and product packaging, while collaborative networks were established to support collective raw material procurement and joint distribution. This program has contributed to improving local business competitiveness, productivity, and sustainability. Moreover, it demonstrates an effective community empowerment model based on technology adoption and collaboration to strengthen village economic resilience in the digital era.
