IT-Explore: Jurnal Penerapan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi 2025 Fakultas Teknologi Informasi, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana

This research proposes a time-based dynamic port knocking technique on Mikrotik routers to enhance SSH access security. The system uses an algorithm for port calculation that changes according to the server’s time, requiring a different knocking sequence for each access session. The technique involves three consecutive knocking stages, where each stage must be passed in order for SSH access to be granted. The results show that this method is effective as a two-factor authentication mechanism, limiting access only to clients who understand the port calculation algorithm. Moreover, this system helps prevent brute-force attacks more efficiently by changing the port every minute, making it more difficult for unauthorized parties to launch an attack. Therefore, this method offers a more dynamic, adaptive, and flexible SSH security solution that can effectively address modern cybersecurity threats.

The objective of this community service initiative is to enhance the awareness and competencies of village officials in Ngunut Village regarding cyber security threats. Through counseling and mentoring sessions, participants were educated on the principles of cyber security, the categories of cyber attacks, and the preventive measures that can be implemented. Evaluation findings demonstrated a substantial enhancement in participants' knowledge and attitudes towards cybersecurity. It is anticipated that this initiative will serve as a model for other villages, contributing to the development of secure and sustainable communities in the digital era.

The increasing digitization of maritime operations has introduced significant cybersecurity risks, particularly in port operations and shipping companies that rely heavily on integrated information systems. This study aims to assess the level of cybersecurity preparedness in the maritime sector by evaluating the existing strategies, vulnerabilities, and risk mitigation measures in Indonesian ports and maritime shipping firms. A mixed-method approach was employed, combining surveys distributed to IT and operational personnel with in-depth interviews involving cybersecurity experts and port management. The findings reveal varying levels of awareness and readiness, with larger ports and international shipping companies demonstrating more advanced cybersecurity frameworks compared to smaller, regional operators. Key gaps were identified in incident response protocols, employee training, and system resilience. The results highlight the urgent need for regulatory alignment, capacity building, and investment in cybersecurity infrastructure to safeguard critical maritime assets and ensure operational continuity. This research provides practical insights for policymakers, port authorities, and maritime stakeholders to develop a standardized and proactive approach to cybersecurity in the maritime domain.

This study aims to address the challenges and propose solutions for the Optimization of Blockchain-Based Cybersecurity Systems to Enhance Resilience Against Ransomware Attacks using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Blockchain is increasingly recognized as a transformative technology in cybersecurity due to its decentralized structure, transparency, and robustness in securing data. Despite these advantages, its widespread adoption is hindered by several challenges, including scalability, interoperability, high energy consumption, and limited access to representative ransomware datasets. This research highlights that integrating blockchain with advanced technologies such as data analytics, machine learning, and Explainable AI (XAI) can significantly enhance its effectiveness in combating ransomware.The findings reveal that Graph Convolutional Neural Networks (GCN) enable real-time detection of ransomware patterns in network traffic with an accuracy of up to 95%. Furthermore, Layer-2 solutions like the Lightning Network and sharding effectively alleviate the load on main blockchains, thereby increasing transaction throughput. Efficient consensus mechanisms, including Proof of Stake (PoS) and Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS), address energy consumption issues, making blockchain more adaptable to IoT and resource-constrained environments. These approaches have proven successful in enabling early detection, mitigation, and prevention of ransomware in IoT systems, cloud infrastructures, and smart grid networks. The implications of this study underscore the potential of blockchain as a critical component of proactive and adaptive cybersecurity systems. However, overcoming existing challenges requires further development of hybrid frameworks that integrate blockchain with data analytics and machine learning technologies. In addition, efforts should focus on standardizing global security protocols to enhance interoperability and creating robust, diverse ransomware datasets to support more accurate detection systems. Future research should also explore methods to minimize latency and improve blockchain efficiency in real-time cybersecurity applications.

As industries increasingly integrate cloud-based Industrial Control Systems (ICS), the cyber threat landscape expands. While cloud computing offers scalability, cost efficiency, and remote accessibility, it also introduces security vulnerabilities that adversaries can exploit. This study explores AI-driven threat detection models, encryption techniques, and best practices to enhance ICS resilience. Key security measures, including intrusion detection systems, anomaly detection, and robust encryption mechanisms, are analyzed to mitigate cyber risks. The findings highlight the effectiveness of AI-based security solutions in identifying and preventing attacks, ensuring the reliability and integrity of ICS in cloud environments.

The rapid advancement of digital technology has led to widespread mass surveillance, raising concerns about the protection of individual privacy. International human rights law plays a crucial role in balancing national security interests with the right to digital privacy. This study examines the impact of international human rights frameworks, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), in safeguarding digital privacy amid increasing government surveillance. Using a qualitative approach, the research analyzes key legal principles, court rulings, and policy responses from different jurisdictions. The findings indicate that while international legal instruments provide a foundation for digital privacy protection, enforcement remains inconsistent due to varying national implementations and technological challenges. The study underscores the need for stronger legal mechanisms and international cooperation to ensure the effective protection of digital privacy rights in the digital age.

This research aims to understand the impact of the integration between artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and cyber security on administrative decisions in three aspects: (1) decision-making speed, (2) decision accuracy, and (3) decision effectiveness. A sample of 150 employees was drawn, and a survey was used to gather the required information. Data analysis was conducted using the statistical program SPSS 25, employing various statistical methods such as mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, and simple linear regression. The research concluded with several findings, the most important being: The integration of AI technologies and cyber security leads to improved speed, accuracy, and effectiveness of administrative decisions, The researcher recommended that institutions adopt AI technologies to enhance their cyber security systems, particularly in areas like machine learning and big data analysis.

Power Index is a strategic indicator measuring a nation's military, economic, and geopolitical capabilities, closely tied to national defense and security. This study examines key factors such as currency exchange rates, GDP, education levels, and technology penetration in shaping the Power Index. Economic stability underpins defense development, while advanced education and digital infrastructure drive innovations in military technology and cybersecurity. Developed countries dominate defense capabilities due to robust technological infrastructures, while developing nations show potential through investments in education and technology. Beta distribution regression, with its suitability for bounded variables, was utilized to model the Power Index. The study provides insights into the interplay between economic, educational, and technological factors, supporting strategic policymaking to strengthen national defense in a dynamic global landscape.

The era of Industry 5.0 marks a paradigm shift in the global business landscape, integrating advanced technologies with human-centric values to create more agile and responsive organizations. This study explores the application of Management Control Systems (MCS) in the digital era, focusing on technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The research method involved conducting an interactive webinar via the Zoom platform, including material presentations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions. Evaluation was carried out through participant feedback to improve the quality of future activities. The findings reveal that implementing digital technologies in MCS enhances operational efficiency, flexibility, and organizational competitiveness. However, challenges such as workplace culture resistance and cybersecurity risks remain significant obstacles. Proposed solutions include continuous training and interdisciplinary collaboration to support sustainable digital transformation. With the right strategic approach, organizations can leverage the opportunities of the Industry 5.0 era to achieve sustainability and innovation.

There are various types of cybersecurity threat in the globe, one of which is an insider threat. Because the current vulnerability generates an insider threat, SMEs suffer. In this situation, the company suffers a loss of profit and trust. Because of the speed and intensity of cybersecurity, particularly internal threats, SMEs must conduct regular vulnerability assessments. Insider threats to cyber security are a major issue in today's environment. Insider threats come in a variety of flavours, one of which is the unintended insider threat, or UIsT. This type of threat is a real one, and it is important to understand who and how they can become an insider threat.

The implementation of financial technology (FinTech) has significantly transformed the banking sector in Indonesia, impacting the quality and accessibility of services offered. This study examines the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) associated with the adoption of FinTech in the banking industry. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected from industry reports, case studies, and expert interviews to provide a comprehensive analysis. The results highlight several strengths, including improved efficiency, enhanced customer experience, and expanded financial inclusion. However, weaknesses such as high operational costs and cybersecurity risks remain prevalent. Opportunities for growth lie in the increasing digital literacy and government support, while threats include intense competition and regulatory challenges. This study concludes that while FinTech presents significant potential to elevate banking service quality in Indonesia, its success depends on addressing key challenges through strategic innovation and robust policy frameworks.

This study explores the impact of cybersecurity risk disclosure on customer-supplier relationships in corporate supply chains through a qualitative literature review approach. The findings reveal that transparency in cybersecurity risk disclosure enhances trust, relationship stability, and operational efficiency within supply chains. Conversely, a lack of disclosure or poor risk management can damage reputations, create uncertainty, and weaken collaboration between business partners. The study also highlights the importance of adequate regulations, risk mitigation strategies, and the adoption of new technologies in managing cybersecurity. While offering significant insights, this study has limitations, including reliance on secondary literature and variations in industry contexts. Future research is recommended to include empirical testing and the exploration of new technologies to strengthen cybersecurity risk management in supply chains.

This research examines the impact of globalization on non-traditional security in Indonesia. Using a literature study approach, the research collects secondary data from various sources, including scientific journals, government reports, and publications from international institutions. Globalization has introduced several new challenges to Indonesia's non-traditional security, such as terrorism, transnational crime, environmental degradation, food and energy security, and cyber threats. This study explores different dimensions of non-traditional security risks, evaluates the effectiveness of current policy responses, and identifies potential strategies to strengthen Indonesia's national resilience in addressing contemporary security challenges. The research finds that globalization accelerates cross-border mobility, enhances extremist groups' access to the internet, and intensifies environmental damage. In response, the Indonesian government has implemented measures such as strengthening anti-terrorism laws, promoting deradicalization programs, enhancing border controls, fostering ASEAN regional cooperation, imposing a moratorium on land clearing, and supporting the REDD+ program. However, challenges remain, including limited resources, coordination issues between institutions, and low levels of digital literacy among the public, which hinder progress in improving non-traditional security in Indonesia.

The cross – border fintech payment industry faces many cybersecurity issues, including the possibility of data theft, fraud and low efficiency due to reliance on conventional intermediaries. Based on decentralized and cryptgrahpic system, blockchain technology can improve the security and efficiency of cross – border payments. The purpose of this study is to see how the implementation of blockchain affects the transparency, speed and cost of transactions. Using literature studies and case analysis, it was found that blockhain technology can reduce the risk of fraud by making institutions transparent and immutable. In addition, it allows for automated payments through smart contracats, scalability, regulation and technology adoption are some of the challenges that still hinder its implementation. The results of the study show that blockchain is an innovation strategy that has the potential to transform payments across the fintech sector, but it requires synergy between technology, policy and industry players for optimal implementation.

The exponential growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) introduces a multitude of security challenges, as a vast number of connected devices often operate with inadequate protection measures. This vulnerability heightens the risk of cyberattacks, data breaches, and hacking, exposing systems and sensitive information to increased threats. Ensuring security in the IoT ecosystem while considering this rapidly expanding technology's physical limitations and specific requirements is a complex task. This article comprehensively analyzes the primary vulnerabilities and risks associated with IoT, exploring innovative strategies and effective solutions to strengthen its security framework. The article highlights the critical role of secure device authentication, data encryption, regular updates, and continuous monitoring by addressing the intricacies of communication protocols and emphasizing the need for standardization. Ultimately, this work advocates for a holistic approach to IoT security, where robust, adaptable solutions are developed to safeguard against the evolving landscape of cyber threats.

Technological innovations in autonomous vessels developed by Japan, such as the MEGURI2040 project, have opened up great opportunities in improving maritime efficiency and strengthening economic ties with ASEAN countries. These technologies offer operational advantages through cost reduction, route optimization, and enhanced maritime safety, which can promote economic integration in the region. However, the adoption of autonomous ships also presents challenges, including the need for regulatory harmonization, port infrastructure improvement, and cybersecurity risk management. This study analyzes the impact of autonomous ship innovation on the logistics sector, workforce, maritime safety, and the potential for technological cooperation between Japan and ASEAN. The results show that the adoption of this technology can strengthen regional cooperation, but requires technical readiness, mature regulations, and multilateral collaboration to overcome emerging challenges. Therefore, the integration of autonomous ship technology in ASEAN requires not only a strategic approach, but also a shared commitment to create stability and sustainable economic growth in the region.

This study examines the phenomenon of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) as a technological innovation that changes the landscape of the global monetary system. In the midst of the rapid development of digital technology and cryptocurrencies, central banks in various countries are starting to consider and develop their own digital currencies. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the aspects of CBDC implementation, including its potential benefits, challenges, and impact on financial system stability and monetary policy. Through a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study method, this study explores various dimensions of CBDC, including technological architecture, implementation models, and its socio-economic implications. The results of the study show that CBDCs have significant potential in improving the efficiency of the payment system, encouraging financial inclusion, and strengthening the transmission of monetary policy. However, its implementation also presents serious challenges related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and the stability of the banking system. This study makes an important contribution to a comprehensive understanding of CBDCs and their implications for the future of the global financial system.
