Ahlussunnah Wal Jama’ah (Aswaja) is an Islamic doctrine based on the Qur’an, Hadith, and the understanding of the companions and early scholars. This study aims to examine the Qur’anic and Hadith-based evidence that legitimizes Aswaja and its relevance to Islamic education. The research employs a literature review method, analyzing primary sources such as classical and contemporary tafsir books, major Hadith collections (Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Tirmidhi), and scholarly works by figures like Imam Ash’ari and Al-Ghazali. The findings indicate that Qur’anic verses, such as Surah Al-An’am (6:153) and Surah Ali Imran (3:103), emphasize the importance of adhering to the straight path, which is a central tenet of Aswaja. Furthermore, the Hadith on the division of the Muslim ummah into 73 sects supports Aswaja’s position as al-firqah an-najiyah (the saved sect). These sources provide textual legitimacy to the doctrine of Aswaja, affirming its central role in preserving Islamic unity. The implications for Islamic education are significant, including the integration of Aswaja values into curricula, the promotion of a moderate and balanced understanding of Islam, and the strengthening of faith based on authentic textual evidence. By incorporating Aswaja principles, educators can foster an environment that prioritizes tolerance, inclusivity, and intellectual engagement within Islamic educational settings. This study contributes to reinforcing a moderate and tolerant Islamic approach, promoting a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity in educational contexts.

The abstract is written in one paragraph with a single space (maximum 200 words), without any reference or formul This article discusses the growth and development of Islamic educational institutions from classical to modern times inseparable from the history of the mosque as an early institution in classical Islamic education. As the first institution built to educate the people after hijrah to Medina, the prophet made the mosque the main basis for the birth of civil civilization. The mosque not only functions as a place of worship but also serves social, cultural, political and security functions. It was in this mosque that religious education in its most basic form was given and developed into a center for the study of various Islamic sciences with teachers from the main companions with a halaqah teaching system that developed until now in modern Islamic boarding schools. The rapid development of the times resulted in the mosque transforming into a madrasa and resulted in the function of the mosque being reduced to a place of worship alone. Efforts to restore the function and role of the mosque as the center of civilization in modern times are again rife with the hope that a new civilization will emerge based on the mosque.

This study aims to examine in depth the views of Afrizal Nur in his book Tafsir Al-Mishbâh̲ in Sorotan which assesses that M. Quraish Shihab has a strong affiliation with the Shia school. The author uses the theory of hermeneutics of objectivity, where the interpretation of the text is understood based on the author's intent, not the subjective conclusions of the interpreter. The findings of this study indicate that although M. Quraish Shihab cites Shia sources of interpretation, he remains objective in processing the references. The analysis proves that some of M. Quraish Shihab's views in Tafsir Al-Mishbâh̲ often contradict Shia figures, such as Thabathaba'i in Tafsir al-Mîzân. This study also discusses the main issues highlighted by Afrizal Nur, including the glorification of Fatimah R.A., the successor of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, to the concepts of Ahl al-Bait, ismah, and taqiyyah. With the maudhû’i interpretation model and qualitative approach, this study successfully explains that Afrizal Nur’s view is not entirely objective in assessing the Tafsir Al-Mishbâh̲. Through concrete examples of verses and themes of interpretation, this study strengthens the argument that M. Quraish Shihab maintains the scientificity of his interpretation without supporting certain sectarian views

The Qur'an is the word of Allah SWT that discusses various types of knowledge, including science, hence the scientific values within the Qur'an exist, one of which is in Surah Al-Fatihah, verse 02. One interpretation of the Qur'an that discusses science is the work of Tantawi Jawhari, who has a different perspective in interpreting the Qur'an compared to most other scholars, making it a distinctive feature of scientific interpretation that is considered interesting. This interpretation utilizes images to provide understanding or viewpoints in offering explanations. This research employs a qualitative library research method, with the primary source being 'al-Jawahir fi Tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim,' a work by Tantawi Jawhari. The results of this research indicate that Surah Al-Fatihah holds scientific perspectives in its entirety, one of which is illustrated in verse 02, explaining that there are many realms, including the upper and lower realms. The upper realm is filled with creatures such as aliens and other beings of Allah, while the lower realm consists of elements like the earth, oceans, and mountains, among which there are humans.

The tahlili method is one of the important approaches in Qur'anic interpretation that emphasizes a very intensive analysis of the holy verses of the Qur'an. This study aims to explore the characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of the tahlili method and its application in the context of Qur'anic interpretation. By using a qualitative approach and library research, data is collected through a review of relevant literature, both from printed and electronic sources. The results show that the tahlili method, which was first applied in the third period after Tabi'in, has the ability to convey the messages of the Qur'an in a concise and global manner, so that it is easily understood by Muslims. This method also has systematic steps, which include describing the verses of the Qur'an and explaining the meaning of vocabulary according to the rules of Arabic, including general analysis and selection of diction that reflects the Qur'anic lafaz. Although this method has advantages in terms of clarity and freedom from the influence of interpretation, there are also weaknesses that need to be considered, such as parcial instructions and the potential for ineffective interpretation. The author hopes that this research can help contribute to the understanding of the tahlili method and improve a more effective and applicable way of interpreting the Qur'an.

Complex social problems, such as blasphemy, often arise as a result of social plurality. Time pressure can make the legal system no longer subjective in such situations. If protests continue, the punishment imposed on those deemed to have committed blasphemy will be increasingly severe. Cases of blasphemy have increased in recent times. When some people easily say that such an attitude is blasphemy, the author was moved to investigate and analyze the verses in the Qur'an related to blasphemy using their understanding of classical, medieval, and contemporary interpretations. This qualitative research uses a comparative approach. The author uses Tafsir Jami' al-Bayan'an Ta'wil ai al-Qur'an, Tafsir al-Jami' li Ahkam Al-Qur'an, and Tafsir al-Munir from Wahbah az-Zuhailîy as primary data sources, and books related to blasphemy are used as secondary data sources. The data were studied using deductive-comparative methods. This study shows that some words are involved in the discussion of blasphemy when compared to its general meaning, although the Qur'an does not mention the word "blasphemy" explicitly. This study shows that al-Qurthubîy and Wahbah az-Zuhailîy interpret behavior related to blasphemy in the same way, as does ath-Thabarîy, although ath-Thabarîy does not always mention the details of the behavior. Since the interpretations of the three are almost the same so far, these differences do not have much impact on the author's work. In terms of blasphemy, every example mentioned by the three commentators is a behavior that can be said to be fatal. Therefore, society must be careful and careful in dealing with problems, especially those related to blasphemy, so that slanderous behavior can be prevented and prevented.

Interpretation of the Qur'an is an effort to understand Allah's verses through various methods, including tafsir bil-ma'tsur, tafsir bil-ra'yi, and tafsir Isyari. Tafsir bil-ma'tsur relies on the Qur'an, hadith, and the understanding of the companions and the tabi'in, carrying strong authority but not without critique regarding the authenticity of its chains of narration and the potential inclusion of Israiliyat. Tafsir bil-ra'yi employs reason and logic, divided into commendable interpretations that adhere to the principles of Quranic exegesis and blameworthy interpretations that often deviate from Islamic law. Meanwhile, tafsir Isyari offers a symbolic and esoteric approach, requiring strict conditions to ensure relevance and alignment with the apparent meaning of the verses. Although scholars have differing opinions regarding the validity of these interpretative methods, they collectively reflect the intellectual richness of Islam in interpreting the Qur'an to meet the spiritual and intellectual needs of the community across different contexts and eras.
