The coal blending process conducted by PT. Bukit Baiduri Energi (PT. BBE) aims to achieve coal quality specifications that align with customer requirements. PT. BBE possesses multiple coal seams with varying quality characteristics, necessitating a carefully planned blending system with precise proportions to produce coal products that meet market demands. The objectives of this study are: to plan the quantity and quality parameters for coal blending, to evaluate the actual outcomes of coal blending in terms of quantity and quality, and to identify the factors contributing to discrepancies between the planned and actual coal quality following the blending process. To determine the optimal quantity and quality of each coal product in the blending plan, the simplex method was employed with the assistance of POM-QM for Windows version 5 software, alongside the weighting factor method. The final coal blending plan resulted in a total of 55,000 MT with the following quality specifications total moisture of 20.00% (ar), ash content of 6.10% (ad), total sulfur of 1.65% (ad), and a calorific value of 5,350 kcal/kg (ad). The actual blending outcome yielded the same quantity of 55,000 MT, with quality parameters as follows: total moisture of 20.18% (ad), ash content of 5.60% (ad), total sulfur of 1.35% (ad), and a calorific value of 5,340 kcal/kg (ad). The analysis of quality discrepancies revealed several contributing factors the presence of water accumulation in the ROM Stockpile following rainfall, which increased total moisture, the inadvertent inclusion of foreign materials into the feeder, resulting in elevated ash content, the unintentional mixing of coal from different product types, which led to inconsistencies in total moisture, ash content, total sulfur, and calorific value, and the rise in total moisture, which adversely affected the calorific value.

This study explores the impact of emotional intelligence and work–life balance on organizational commitment, with job satisfaction serving as a mediating variable, in the context of couriers at JNE Denpasar. Utilizing a quantitative research design, the study applies Partial Least Square (PLS) Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze data collected from 56 participants through a census sampling method. The findings reveal that emotional intelligence has a direct and significant effect on organizational commitment, indicating that employees with higher emotional intelligence tend to demonstrate stronger loyalty and dedication to their organization. However, emotional intelligence does not show a significant influence on job satisfaction, suggesting that other factors may contribute to employees' overall contentment at work. Conversely, work–life balance significantly affects job satisfaction, highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy equilibrium between professional and personal responsibilities. Despite this, work–life balance does not directly influence organizational commitment. Further analysis indicates that job satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between work–life balance and organizational commitment, demonstrating that employees who achieve a better work–life balance are more likely to be satisfied with their jobs, which in turn enhances their commitment to the organization. However, job satisfaction does not serve as a mediator between emotional intelligence and organizational commitment, implying a more direct pathway between these two variables. These results align with the Theory of Planned Behavior, emphasizing that positive attitudes, reflected through job satisfaction, play a critical role in fostering behaviors associated with organizational commitment. From a practical perspective, the study highlights the importance for companies, particularly in the logistics industry, to invest in initiatives that enhance emotional intelligence and promote effective work–life balance strategies. By doing so, organizations can cultivate stronger employee loyalty, improve engagement, and foster a more committed workforce, ultimately contributing to better organizational performance and stability.

This study investigates the influence of promotion, brand image, and location on purchasing decisions at 3Second Store Kediri. The research employs a quantitative approach using both primary and secondary data sources. The primary data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 309 respondents, while the secondary data were collected via interviews with store supervisors and direct observation at the research site. The variables under examination include promotion, brand image, and location as independent variables, and purchasing decision as the dependent variable. Data analysis involved both partial and simultaneous hypothesis testing to determine the strength and significance of each variable’s effect. The findings reveal that, partially, each of the three independent variables—promotion, brand image, and location—has a significant and positive effect on purchasing decisions. This indicates that improvement in any of these aspects will lead to a higher likelihood of customers making a purchase. Simultaneous testing also demonstrates that the three variables collectively exert a significant and positive influence on purchasing decisions. Among these, promotion emerges as the most dominant factor affecting purchasing decisions, as confirmed through the partial t-test results. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.581, which signifies that 58% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by the three examined variables, while the remaining 42% is attributed to other factors not covered in this study, such as product quality, customer service, and pricing strategies. These results suggest that marketing strategies focusing on well-planned promotional activities, maintaining a strong and positive brand image, and choosing a strategic store location can effectively increase customer purchasing decisions. The findings provide valuable insights for retail management, particularly for fashion retail brands like 3Second Store, in developing targeted strategies to optimize sales performance.

This study aims to determine the effect of pricing, sales promotions, and stock availability on sales volume at H&G Collection. In an era of increasingly fierce business competition, companies need to manage marketing strategies effectively to maintain and increase sales. Appropriate pricing can influence product appeal to consumers, planned sales promotions can increase purchasing interest, while maintained stock availability ensures that consumer demand is met without interruption. This study used a quantitative approach with primary data sources obtained through questionnaires. The population in this study was all H&G Collection employees in the marketing, finance, and general administration divisions. The sampling technique used a saturated or census sampling method, where all members of the population were sampled. The number of respondents involved in this study was 37. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability before being used in data collection. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS version 19 software. The analysis methods included classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, and F-tests to determine partial and simultaneous effects between variables. The results of the study indicate that the three independent variables, namely pricing (X₁), sales promotion (X₂), and stock availability (X₃), have a significant effect on the dependent variable, namely sales volume (Y). This proves that the right pricing strategy, effective promotions, and optimal inventory management can significantly increase sales volume. This finding implies that H&G Collection management needs to maintain and even improve the quality of the implementation of these three variables in an integrated manner to support sales growth and the company's competitiveness in the market.

Extreme weather events in Bintan Regency increased from 34 incidents in 2023 to 45 incidents in 2024, marked by strong winds and heavy rainfall, which caused damage to residential homes and disrupted community activities. This study aims to determine the mitigation strategies of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bintan Regency. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The study is based on Fred R. David’s theory (2016). The results of this study show that the Strategy Formulation has been fully implemented in formulating the vision and mission of BPBD Bintan regarding disaster mitigation. However, the identification of internal and external environments has not been optimal due to issues such as the wide geographical coverage of Bintan Regency and the lack of transportation facilities. The Strategy Implementation indicates that the execution by BPBD Bintan is not yet fully optimal, as some community members have not received the planned activities. The Strategy Evaluation shows that BPBD Bintan's performance has been optimal, as evidenced by the Government Institution Performance Report (LAKIP), which states that the agency has achieved 100% of its service targets for those who received services. However, field findings reveal that community understanding and preparedness are still lacking due to the absence of outreach and training programs, which are hindered by factors such as the unestablished Disaster-Resilient Villages (Destana/Katana). Nevertheless, the community perceives BPBD Bintan’s response in providing aid during disasters as satisfactory.
