Tolerance is one of the core character values that is crucial to instill from an early age, especially in multicultural societies like Indonesia. However, early childhood education (ECE) still tends to focus on cognitive and motoric aspects, while the integration of social values such as tolerance has not yet received adequate attention in the curriculum. This study aims to explore the potential of local wisdom-infused dance movements as an educational medium for instilling tolerance values in young children. The research employs a systematic literature review approach, analyzing previous studies relevant to three main variables: dance movements, local wisdom, and tolerance values in early childhood. The findings reveal that dance movements are not only beneficial for physical and aesthetic development but also serve as an effective expressive medium for fostering empathy, cooperation, and acceptance of differences. Integrating local wisdom values into dance activities can strengthen children's cultural identity and cultivate awareness of cultural diversity from an early age. Furthermore, emotional engagement and hands-on experiences in artistic activities have proven more effective in character building compared to conventional approaches. This study offers theoretical and practical contributions by formulating a local dance-based learning model explicitly aimed at reinforcing tolerance attitudes. The implications of these findings provide new directions for developing more contextual and culturally rooted ECE curricula, as well as enriching character education strategies that are engaging and meaningful for children. Thus, dance movements serve as a vital bridge in nurturing an inclusive, open-minded, and diversity-ready young generation.

This study examines the implementation of Pancasila values-based Civic Education (PKn) learning in enhancing tolerance attitudes among fifth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 064016. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, document analysis, and tolerance attitude questionnaires involving 28 students. Results indicate that contextual strategies—such as classroom deliberation simulations and collaborative projects based on local wisdom—significantly improved students' tolerance attitudes. Conceptual understanding of diversity increased by 34.5%, empathetic attitudes rose by 29.5%, and inclusive practices grew by 23.7% (composite score +29%, Cohen’s d = 1.45). Key supporting factors included the school’s commitment to integrating Pancasila values into the curriculum and innovative media (e.g., multicultural congklak, AR cultural maps). Primary constraints were limited instructional time and student ability heterogeneity. The study concludes that Pancasila values-based learning models, supported by teacher consistency and active student participation, effectively foster inclusive school environments.

Adolescents are an age group that is vulnerable to social conflict due to emotional immaturity and the search for self-identity. Amidst the increasing cases of violence and intolerance among adolescents, Christian Religious Education (PAK) has strategic potential in forming peaceful characters and constructive conflict resolution skills. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through an in-depth literature review of various literature and scientific journals from the last five to ten years. The results of the study indicate that PAK plays a role in internalizing the values of love, forgiveness, tolerance, and justice that are relevant to building a culture of peace. In addition, PAK also contributes to forming a healthy social identity among adolescents, strengthening multicultural awareness, and providing skills in resolving conflicts non-violently. The instillation of these values is carried out through a holistic approach that includes cognitive, affective, and practical learning. Christian Religious Education not only forms religious understanding, but also plays a role as a means of social transformation amidst the complex reality of conflict. Thus, PAK can be an important element in efforts to prevent conflict and form a young generation with a peaceful personality.  These findings are expected to be the basis for developing a curriculum and practice of Christian education that is more responsive to the social challenges faced by today's youth.

This study examines acculturative symbolism and interfaith tolerance through the implementation of the Unan-Unan Ceremony in Tosari District, Tengger region, using a qualitative case study approach and Herbert Blumer's symbolic interactionism theory as an analytical tool. The Unan-Unan tradition, as a sacred five-year ritual of the Tengger Hindu community, not only carries spiritual meanings such as warding off evil and purifying nature but also serves as a space for social interaction actively involving the Muslim community, particularly in social, cultural, and logistical aspects. Cultural symbols such as offerings, mantras, and collective prayers are interpreted as the result of negotiations and the formation of cross-religious collective identity. The research findings indicate that the symbolism in this tradition represents values of tolerance, mutual aid, and teposliro, thereby strengthening an inclusive and harmonious social structure within a multicultural society. The Unan-Unan ceremony serves as tangible evidence that a cultural approach can create spaces for tolerance and harmony among religious groups without erasing their respective identities. Thus, this tradition is not only significant as a cultural heritage but also as a model of diversity and social peace in Indonesia.

This research examines the issue of interfaith marriage in the context of religious moderation in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach. Based on Dukcapil data from 2022, 34.6 million couples were recorded as "unregistered marriages" due to interfaith marriages. showing strong tension due to the presence of regulations and religious doctrines that tend to be exclusive. By comparing the perspectives of Islam, Catholicism, and Hinduism, it was found that there are differences in doctrinal limitations regarding interfaith marriage practices. This shows how complex the relationship is between social structures and religious teachings in marriage. Moreover, this research found that there is a contradiction between the dominant interpretation of marriage law based on religious beliefs and the constitutional right to form a family (Article 28B paragraph 1 of the 1945 Constitution). As a solution, the paradigm of religious moderation is offered. This paradigm emphasizes justice, love, and tolerance as the fundamental principles of inclusive marriage. Through a qualitative approach with conceptual analysis methods and literature studies, this study identifies four main roles of civil society: the cultivation of national identity, the recognition of citizens' rights and obligations, the development of democratic values, and the formation of attitudes of tolerance and multiculturalism. The dimensions of consciousness developed include constitutional consciousness, nationalism, multiculturalism, and participatory. This article also explains effective PKn implementation strategies through experiential learning, integration with daily life, the use of interactive learning media, and example and habituation. Despite having a vital role, the implementation of PKn still faces challenges in the form of learning that tends to be theoretical, limited teacher competence, and counterproductive environmental influences. The evaluation of PKn's success in increasing awareness can be measured through behavior change, conceptual understanding, active participation, and social concern of students. In conclusion, PKn that is implemented contextually and meaningfully from an early age can be an effective foundation in forming good citizens and maintaining national identity in the global era.
