Street Children are one of the complex social problems in big cities in Indonesia The Kupang City Government has issued a policy through Kupang City Regional Regulation No. 8 of 2013 which regulates the Handling and Empowerment of Street Children, Vagrants, and Beggars in its area. The Social Service has not been fully effective in supporting social welfare. This can be seen from the problem of Street Children in Kupang City, where there are still many underage children who are often seen wandering the streets. They are involved in various activities, such as selling newspapers, snacks, and even begging to anyone who stops. The type of research used in this study uses empirical legal research where this research method functions to see the law in a real sense and examine how the law works in the community. The results of the research and discussion show that (1) the results of the research conducted at the Kupang City Social Service are related to the Duties and Responsibilities of the Social Service in providing social welfare services for street children. This refers to the Kupang City Regional Regulation Number 8 of 2013 concerning the Handling and Empowerment of Street Children. As the implementer, the Social Service has the authority to provide guidance and control to street children. In addition, the implementing agents involved also carry out their duties and functions in accordance with their roles as regional apparatus, ensuring that the coaching process runs in accordance with the responsibilities carried out. (2) Factors that hinder the city social services in providing services in the field of social welfare for street children in Kupang City include internal factors.

Article 1 point 5 of Law Number 6 of 2014 defines a village as a legal community unit with the right to its origin. In its implementation, the village government may facilitate the establishment of traditional village institutions (LAD), which function to preserve customs and serve as partners in village governance. Todo Village in Manggarai Regency continues to uphold its traditional values through a functioning customary institution that plays a role as a stakeholder. However, modernization often creates tension between traditional values and modern societal demands. This research is a normative legal study supported by empirical data. The data were analyzed using a juridical-descriptive qualitative method, obtained through field research and other sources. The findings show that the traditional institution in Todo Village has adopted a more modern and administrative structure without losing its core functions in preserving local customs. It maintains a constructive partnership with the village government while each operates independently. Strengthening efforts include providing infrastructure, allocating village funds for traditional house maintenance, and establishing customary organizations to support development. However, challenges remain, especially due to the lack of specific regulations and the fact that Todo has not yet been officially designated as a customary village.

This study examines the implementation of the legislative duties and functions of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) during the 2019–2024 period. Legislative function, as stipulated in Article 20A of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, constitutes one of the core and most influential functions of the DPR, enabling it to affect various aspects of national governance. However, in practice, this function has not been carried out optimally. Legislative performance is evaluated not only in terms of the quantity of legislation produced but also in the quality of the laws enacted. Using a normative juridical research method, grounded in positivist legal theory. The findings indicate that throughout the 2019–2024 period, the DPR’s legislative performance has fluctuated and remained suboptimal. Of the 256 bills included in the National Legislative Program (Prolegnas), only 63 were enacted into law. Several inhibiting factors were identified, including the competency of members, lengthy decision-making procedures, political party composition, and limited public participation. This study underscores the importance of enhancing the capacity of DPR members through regular training and education. Greater transparency in the legislative process is also crucial to maintaining public trust. Furthermore, streamlining bill deliberation mechanisms and fostering inter-factional dialogue are essential strategies to accelerate consensus and improve legislative outcomes.

The formation of the Saber Pungli Task Force was carried out as a firm and real step by the government to restore public trust, so that through Presidential Regulation Number 87 of 2016 concerning the Clean Sweep Task Force for Illegal Levies, all city areas in Indonesia formed the task force to eradicate and enforce the law. This type of research is empirical. After the data is obtained, the researcher will group the data based on the data source and analyze it to get answers to the formulation of the problem in this study. The results of the study show that the Clean Sweep Task Force for Illegal Levies (Satgas Saber Pungli) was formed with the aim of eradicating the practice of illegal levies that occur in various public service sectors in Indonesia, and the Clean Sweep Task Force for Illegal Levies at Tenau Port involves various activities aimed at overcoming and preventing the practice of illegal levies in various public service sectors to create a public service system that is free from extortion and increase public trust in public services. In its implementation, various inhibiting factors are still encountered, namely the weak performance of the task force in the field, aspects of facilities and infrastructure such as the low reporting channels that are friendly and easily accessible to the public, and the budget which is still a real challenge in implementing the Saber Pungli Task Force function, especially in areas such as East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT) which has geographical characteristics as an archipelago.

Marriage in Indonesia is not only regulated by positive law, but also influenced by customary values, such as the tradition of uang panai in the Bugis community in Limpomajang which functions as a form of respect and responsibility for the prospective groom. This research uses a normative juridical method with an analytical descriptive approach to examine the existence of uang panai in the national legal system. The results show that uang panai is part of customary law that remains recognized as long as it does not conflict with laws and regulations and the principle of public order. Therefore, proper understanding from the community and legal apparatus is needed to accommodate customary elements within the framework of national law.

In advertising, females are frequently positioned as the center of attention to establish product image through culturally recognized signs and symbols. Advertisements transcend their promotional function, acting as media that both reflect and influence societal perceptions, including gender roles within daily life. This is exemplified in the Vicks VapoRub advertisement titled "Mother's Amazing Hands," which portrays women as mothers perpetually prepared to care for their families. This study investigates the representation of the mother's role within the aforementioned advertisement using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. The research aims to twofold: 1) identify the denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings embedded within the Vicks VapoRub "Mother's Amazing Hands" ad; and 2) analyze the portrayal of the mother figure through the lens of Barthes' semiotic framework. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing Barthes' semiotic analysis method alongside concepts of social construction of reality, cinematography techniques, and the societal role of mothers. Through the analysis of verbal, non-verbal, audio, and visual elements within the advertisement, the study revealed the multifaceted representation of the mother's role. This includes functions of caregiving, nurturing, and treatment of family members, ultimately portraying the tangible actions a mother takes in providing for her family.

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest Muslim population in the world, has a very strong wealth of religious traditions. Religious activities that are often carried out by local tourists are pilgrimages to the tombs of saints, one of which is the Tomb of Sunan Ampel in Surabaya. On the 29th night of Ramadan, the area of the Tomb of Sunan Ampel will experience a surge in visitors because it coincides with the last ten odd nights of the month of Ramadan. This study aims to determine the form of collaborative governance in the management of the 29th night of Ramadan activities at the Tomb of Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The main problem of the study is the process of collaboration between stakeholders in the management of complex and large-scale religious activities. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that collaboration between parties in the management of Ramadan activities at the Tomb of Sunan Ampel is informal and only dominant in the Tomb of Sunan Ampel Foundation. Although there is functional cooperation, there is no written regulation to clearly regulate the division of roles. Therefore, efforts are needed to strengthen the structure and equal participation so that the governance of Ramadan activities can run more effectively and inclusively.

Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex endocrine-metabolic disorder common in women of reproductive age, characterized by insulin resistance (IR), anovulation, and hyperandrogenism, often leading to infertility. Metformin is the first-line therapy used. However, inositol, especially myo-inositol (MI) and D-chiro-inositol (DCI), have shown promising therapeutic potential. Direct comparison and optimal efficacy of both still require a comprehensive review. Objective: This systematic review aims to evaluate the efficacy of inositol (as monotherapy or in combination) compared with metformin, placebo, or no intervention, in improving reproductive, hormonal, and metabolic outcomes in women with PCOS. Methods: Conducted according to PRISMA guidelines, a systematic literature search was conducted in Pubmed and Ebsco databases for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published in the last 10 years. Studies evaluating inositol and/or metformin in women with PCOS and reporting reproductive, hormonal, or metabolic outcomes were included. Study selection and data extraction were performed independently by five reviewers. Results: Six randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included in this review. Metformin consistently showed improvements in insulin resistance and androgen levels. Myo-inositol also demonstrated efficacy in improving metabolic and hormonal parameters, as well as reproductive outcomes, often with a better tolerability profile, especially as monotherapy. The combination of metformin and myo-inositol has shown potential improvements in some reproductive functions (such as live birth rate) compared to metformin alone in some studies. However, other studies have shown comparable or superior efficacy of myo-inositol monotherapy with fewer side effects. Adjuvant therapies such as dexamethasone or calcium/vitamin D have shown benefits in certain subpopulations. Conclusions: Both inositol (especially myo-inositol) and metformin have significant therapeutic roles in the management of PCOS. Metformin remains an important intervention for metabolic dysregulation and hyperandrogenism. Inositol appears to be an effective and often better tolerated alternative, with significant reproductive benefits. The choice of therapy should be individualized based on patient phenotype and treatment goals.

This study aims to describe the dynamics of school leadership at a primary school affected by limited leadership experience and health-related constraints. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and in-depth interviews with several teachers, the findings reveal that the principal adopts a situational leadership style characterized by flexible and delegative practices. The principal places significant trust in senior teachers to carry out daily operational functions and decision-making processes. While this strategy fosters teacher autonomy and ensures the continuity of school activities, it also reveals weaknesses in supervision, quality control, and the symbolic presence of leadership. The lack of direct supervision results in unclear performance evaluations and weak program coordination. The study concludes that the effectiveness of situational leadership relies heavily on the strength of interpersonal relationships among staff and the existence of supportive internal systems. It is recommended that the principal strengthen the management team and establish a more structured communication system to sustain leadership quality and educational standards.

Indonesia's rich natural resources offer immense potential for tourism development, with various locations evolving into popular tourist destinations. Kledung Pass, with its stunning views of three mountains, is an attractive stopover for travelers heading to cities across Java. Despite its popularity, however, there is no clear technical framework for designing rest areas in such locations. This study addresses the gap by proposing a new concept that reimagines rest areas as tourist destinations, providing brief yet meaningful stops for travelers. The research conducted surveys with road users to understand their rest needs while traveling. It focused on identifying key factors influencing the need for rest from a neuroscience perspective, considering both the physiological and psychological aspects. These findings were analyzed using William Peña’s space programming theory to develop appropriate design standards. The results indicated two main factors driving the need for temporary stopovers: physical fatigue from long journeys and emotional boredom. These findings underscore the necessity for spaces that cater to both physical relaxation and mental rejuvenation, creating a more holistic rest area experience. The proposed design standards move beyond traditional rest areas, integrating recreational features to enhance user experience. The design that considers the effective zoning layout and the use of environmentally friendly materials is expected to be able to create an economically efficient rest area, while providing a positive experience that is environmentally friendly. Overall, planning non-toll rest areas with neuroarchitectural principles can create functional rest areas that support mental health, as well as strengthen Indonesia's tourism appeal through sustainable and highquality space experiences.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is one of the most common musculoskeletal problems that affect the quality of life and productivity of individuals. LBP lasting more than 12 weeks is categorized as chronic LBP and often has no specific cause. Core stability exercise (CSE) is one of the effective rehabilitation methods in managing pain and disability in chronic LBP patients. Objective: This review aims to evaluate the effectiveness of CSE in reducing pain in patients with chronic LBP based on a literature review. Methods: This study used the literature review method by reviewing various relevant studies related to CSE and chronic LBP. Data sources were obtained from databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and PEDro. Articles used had inclusion criteria in the form of randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies published in the last 10 years (2014-2024), in English, and involving patients with non-specific chronic LBP. Article quality assessment was conducted using the PEDro scale. Results: From the analysis of eight articles that met the inclusion criteria, it was found that CSE has significant effectiveness in reducing pain in patients with chronic LBP. The mean visual analogue scale (VAS) score showed a greater reduction in the group undergoing CSE compared to the control group or other therapeutic methods. Moreover, the combination of CSE with adjunctive therapies such as pain neuroscience education (PNE), interferential therapy (IFC), and myofascial release technique (MRT) showed better results in reducing pain and improving postural stability and physical function. Conclusion: CSE can be an effective rehabilitation method to reduce pain and improve core muscle stability in patients with chronic LBP. Combination with other therapies may provide more optimal results.

Malnutrition significantly disrupts metabolic processes like fasting blood glucose (FBG) regulation, insulin secretion, and insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), especially among the elderly. Aging amplifies these effects through declining β-cell function, reduced insulin sensitivity, and chronic inflammation, increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Globally, malnutrition affects 22% of the elderly, with prevalence reaching 28% in Indonesia due to food insecurity, limited healthcare access, and poor nutrition education. Malnutrition exacerbates glucose-insulin imbalances by causing muscle loss, increasing FBG levels, and inducing insulin resistance through chronic inflammation. Despite its impact, critical knowledge gaps remain, particularly in low- and middle-income countries like Indonesia. This study investigates how malnutrition affects FBG, insulin levels, and HOMA-IR in elderly individuals, focusing on mechanisms like inflammation and muscle loss to inform targeted interventions and improve metabolic health in resource-limited settings. This cross-sectional study evaluated fasting blood glucose, insulin, and HOMA-IR among 31 elderly participants at Panti Werdha Santa Anna. The study found no significant differences in fasting blood glucose, fasting insulin, HOMA-IR, or HbA1c levels across Mini Nutritional Assessment categories (normal, at risk, malnourished; p > 0.05). These results suggest no strong association between nutritional status and metabolic parameters, highlighting the need for further research with larger samples. This study finds no significant association between nutritional status and glycemic control in the elderly, suggesting malnutrition's indirect impact via mechanisms like inflammation and muscle loss. Comprehensive nutritional assessments remain essential to understanding its effects on metabolic health.

The Book of Psalms is an important part of the Old Testament worship and theology tradition, reflecting the dynamics of human emotions in their relationship with God. Psalms 146-150 specifically highlight aspects of prayer and praise as expressions of joyful and hopeful faith. This study aims to interpret theologically how these five psalms describe the emotional response of believers to the work and character of God. With an exegetical and biblical theological approach, this study finds that Psalms 146-150 form a climax in the structure of the Book of Psalms, emphasizing the supremacy of praise as the primary form of worship. In addition, this study highlights how the emotional aspects of these psalms function not only as a reflection of individual faith experiences but also as a collective appeal for the community of believers. Thus, Psalms 146-150 emphasize that prayer and praise are the primary means of expressing the relationship between humans and God, while inspiring a spiritual life centered on worship.

The working relationship/coordination between Satreskrim and Satintelkam in uncovering criminal offences at Pohuwato Police Station has not gone well. Field Guidelines (Juklap) of the National Police Chief number 189 of 1993 regulates the Relationship between the Working Procedures of the Resersepol Function (Police Detection) and the Intelpampol Function (Police Intelligence and Security) in the context of integrated crime handling, which should be the basis for implementing working relationships, not implemented. The level of coordination and collaboration between Satreskrim and Satintelkam at Polres Pohuwato shows an unstable and often situational cooperation. Collaboration is optimal in large or urgent cases, but is minimal in normal situations. The level of effectiveness of criminal offence disclosure is largely determined by how strong cross-unit collaboration is built on an ongoing basis. The need for a formal HTCK (Working Procedure Relationship) between Satreskrim and Satintelkam to clarify authorities, responsibilities, and cooperation mechanisms. Increased integrated and cross-functional training to equalise perceptions, increase trust, and reduce sectoral ego. And Polres leaders need to play an active role as mediators and motivators in building open and collaborative communication between units. Establish a permanent cross-unit coordination team facilitated by the Chief of Police and Deputy Chief of Police, to ensure continuity of coordination, not just during major cases. Regular evaluation and monitoring of the quality of coordination, through periodic cross-functional communication forums. And the implementation of a reward and punishment system to increase the commitment of members to the importance of collaboration in disclosing criminal offences.
