Mekar Agung Village has abundant agricultural potential, but the utilization of green waste for liquid organic fertilizer is still not optimal. Seeing this problem, KKM 67 students initiated a grant of grass chopper tools to support the production of liquid organic fertilizer in the village. This community service activity aims to increase village independence in processing green waste into fertilizer that can increase soil fertility and agricultural productivity. The method of implementing the activity includes the stage of socialization to the community regarding the importance of organic fertilizer, training in the use of grass chopper tools, and assistance in the production of liquid organic fertilizer. Through a participatory approach, the community is actively involved in every stage of the activity. The results of this activity show an increase in the community's ability to process grass waste into liquid organic fertilizer, as well as increasing awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly agriculture. The grass chopper tools that were donated have also proven effective in accelerating the process of processing green waste. This activity is expected to continue independently and contribute to economic and environmental development in Mekar Agung Village.

Used cooking oil cannot be reused due to its changed physical and chemical structure, or commonly referred to as “minyak jelantah”. Repeated use of minyak jelantah can pose a risk of various diseases. Meanwhile, “minyak jelantah” is included in waste that is difficult to decompose if it is just thrown away. The utilization of used cooking oil into candles is a solution to this problem. Based on research using observation methods in Sarimukti Village residents, and experimental research methods and documentation, minyak jelantah waste can be reduced by being utilized into aromatherapy candles. Based on the organoleptic test, the results show that the color is not suitable, while the shape and smell are suitable based on the concentration of stearic acid and telon oil added. Based on the burn time, the more telon oil added, the faster the candle runs out.

This research discusses the central role of the Muslim community in resisting colonial powers in the Indonesian archipelago, focusing on colonization by the Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, French, British, and Japanese. Islamic teachings, particularly the concepts of jihad, love for the homeland, and resistance to oppression, played a pivotal role in igniting the spirit of resistance. Islamic Sultanates such as Aceh, Demak, and Mataram actively engaged in the struggle, along with the leadership of scholars and the general population. With low literacy rates, the positive transformations during British colonization were limited in their full utilization by the local communities. Although Japan initially attempted to garner support by claiming liberation, it eventually proved to be a harsh colonizer with forced labor programs. This research employs the library research method to explore the dynamics of Muslim resistance against colonizers by utilizing literary sources.

As people's consumption levels increase, the plastic waste produced will also increase. It's normal if in the future it becomes a serious environmental problem. We need a technology that is able to replace plastic waste into products that have a long life so that they do not return to waste in a short time. Making paving block products from plastic waste is another way of utilizing plastic waste over a long period of time, in order to increase utilization efficiency and reduce the environmental burden on plastic waste and form innovative products into building materials. The most important problem with plastic is plastic waste which cannot be decomposed naturally. Cleaning up plastic waste takes a very long time, and also the use of plastic can hardly be regulated. Based on the results of surveys, interviews and observations conducted on the community around Kuala Village, the community's awareness of waste processing is very minimal and there are lots of piles of plastic waste which can have a negative impact on health and disrupt the preservation of environmental functions, including residential environments, forests, rice fields, and rivers. To reduce the volume of plastic waste that is not managed properly, efforts are being made to utilize plastic waste to make paving blocks in Kuala Lemang Village. to explore the potential for using plastic waste as an alternative material in making environmentally friendly and sustainable paving blocks. Plastic waste collected from the surrounding environment is processed into mixed materials in making paving blocks. This process involves chopping, mixing with conventional materials such as sand, and testing the strength of the final product. Public acceptance of plastic-based paving blocks has proven positive, especially after trials in the local environment. This research contributes to better plastic waste management and offers new economic opportunities in the construction sector, while supporting sustainable development.

Ecoprint is one of the activities of making batik through the process of transferring color and shape to fabric through direct contact. Ecoprint training was chosen because it was based on the discovery that there were many natural resources that had not been utilized, which was one of the reasons for conducting ecoprint training. In supporting the village's creative economy by utilizing natural resources, ecoprint is one solution that can be implemented. Apart from being able to provide ecoprint training experience, it can be used as an example of a business that supports the village economy. This training uses material delivery and discussion methods, a participatory approach and local potential.  The results of this training were to increase the experience and skills of the PKK mothers of Beringin Makmur village regarding ecoprinting. PKK mothers can find out how to make Ecoprint and can apply it at home. Another hope is that mothers can still produce work even though they are stuck at home. Apart from that, the participation method applied not only adds to the learning experience, but also builds a social environment that supports business development. Thus, this activity contributes to community economic empowerment and environmental preservation through creativity and innovation in the use of natural materials found around.

Medan is home to a number of historical buildings from the colonial era and the Islamic Malay Kingdom of Deli, many of which are now heritage sites. However, some buildings remain abandoned, such as the Warenhuis building on Jalan Hindu. Built in 1918 and protected by Law No. 11/2010 and Medan Mayor Decree No. 433/28.K/X/2021, Warenhuis needs to be revitalized to maintain its cultural significance. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased interest in digital connectivity and art. Advances in virtual reality and augmented reality have created new immersive art experiences. The 2000s saw significant growth in the field of new media art, with more and more art collectives utilizing technology. The Cultural Promotion Law No. 5/2017 focuses on the protection, development, and utilization of the arts. Medan, the third largest city in Indonesia, has great potential as a digital art gallery that helps promote culture through conservation, development and community participation. The regeneration of Warenhuis as a digital art gallery uses an infill development design that blends contemporary digital art with the classic architecture of the building, creating a dynamic and inclusive art space while maintaining its historical value.

This journal looks at the legal concerns of managing natural resources by producing compost using a market-based method based on garbage. This study's primary goal is to evaluate the efficacy and compliance of the legal requirements controlling the use of market trash as a raw material for compost fertilizer. The study's findings indicate that there are several pertinent laws that offer a legal framework for market waste management, including the Environmental Law and government waste management rules. However, there are obstacles to the law's implementation and enforcement, such as a lack of knowledge among business actors and oversight flaws. To ensure sustainability and efficiency in managing market waste as a resource for making compost, this study also found that, despite the existence of existing regulations, regulatory updates and harmonization are still required. To maximize the environmental and economic benefits of market waste management, this research recommends improvements in regulations and law enforcement, as well as increased education and training for business actors. The results of the study indicate that the utilization of market waste for making compost has great potential in supporting organic farming and reducing the volume of waste that ends up in landfills. However, the implementation of this program requires a deep understanding of applicable regulations, as well as support from the government and the community. This article concludes that comprehensive legal-based waste management can improve the efficiency and sustainability of natural resource management, as well as have a positive impact on community welfare.
