In the digital era, the internet has become a primary necessity for people in both urban and rural areas, driving the development of wireless networks such as Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) that connect nodes in a multi-hop, self-organizing manner. WMNs offer advantages including flexibility, resilience, automatic configuration, self-healing capabilities, and cost efficiency, making them suitable for various sectors, including industry, residential areas, offices, and education. This research employs a qualitative approach through literature review on wireless networks and Mesh topology. Descriptive analysis is conducted to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, and operational mechanisms of Mesh topology. The findings indicate that implementing Mesh topology in wireless networks provides reliable, flexible, and fault-tolerant connectivity, as each node can function as both a router and a data transmitter/receiver. Although installation is complex and requires numerous cables or ports, Mesh topology remains an effective solution to the limitations of conventional wired and wireless networks. Its advantages in redundancy, security, and scalability make Mesh topology a viable primary choice for the development of modern networks.

The role of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Secretariat is crucial in supporting the effective supervision function of the DPRD as a pillar of good governance. However, at the Cilegon City DPRD Secretariat, this role faces significant constraints due to a policy of assigning staff to assist in work visits that is not competency-based, which risks weakening local government accountability. This research aims to analyze the facilitation role of the Cilegon City DPRD Secretariat, identify the constraints arising from the removal of expert supervision staff, and formulate optimization strategies to strengthen the institution's role. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through in-depth interviews with key informants within the Secretariat, observation, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that (1) the Secretariat's role has been degraded to be administrative rather than substantive; (2) the main constraint stems from a staff assignment system that ignores competence, which leads to a decline in the quality of supervision reports; and (3) there is an urgent need to reform the human resource management (HRM) system. It is concluded that the optimization of the Secretariat's role can only be achieved by reforming the staff assignment policy and implementing structured competency development programs to restore professionalism and effective support for the DPRD's supervision function. Therefore, this research recommends three strategic steps: in the short term, revising the staff assignment policy to prioritize competence; in the medium term, developing and implementing clear Competency-Based HRM Guidelines; and in the long term, organizing continuous functional training programs to enhance staff capacity in professionally and effectively supporting the DPRD's supervision function.

This study aims to analyze the main challenges in managing Community-Based Tourism (CBT) and develop a sustainable management model for Cemagi Tourism Village, Badung, Bali. This study uses a qualitative approach by combining primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through field observations, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), while secondary data were obtained from literature studies and related documents. The analysis was conducted using the SWOT method and qualitative descriptive methods to describe the actual conditions and opportunities for tourism village development. The results show that tourism village management still faces several challenges, particularly in the aspects of promotion and preservation. Collaboration with various stakeholders is necessary, particularly in utilizing social media as an effective promotional tool. In addition, the preservation of local nature and culture is key to sustainable tourism. The proposed management model places the village government and traditional villages as mentors, Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) and Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis) as managers, and the community as active actors in every stage of development. The model refers to the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) management theory, taking into account three aspects of sustainability. First, the economic aspect, through increasing village income, creating jobs, and equitable profit sharing through the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes). Second, the socio-cultural aspect, realized through preserving cultural heritage, improving the quality of human resources through tourism training, and strengthening the role of traditional arts. Third, the environmental aspect, with a focus on preserving subak (village-owned enterprises) and green spaces, managing waste using the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle), and nature conservation. Thus, sustainable tourism management requires strong collaboration, cultural preservation, and environmental awareness to ensure long-term benefits for local communities.

Story writing skills are one of the essential competencies in learning Indonesian language at the elementary school level. However, in reality, many students still face difficulties in expressing ideas, organizing plots, and using language appropriately. Therefore, a learning model that can improve students’ story writing skills is needed. Project Based Learning (PjBL) was chosen because it emphasizes student activity, creativity, collaboration, and the production of tangible written works. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which was carried out in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 14 third-grade students of MI Ziyadatul Iman, Jambi City. The research instruments included a story writing test, student activity observation sheets, and documentation. Data were analyzed using both quantitative techniques (average scores, mastery percentages) and qualitative techniques (student activity and reflection in each cycle). The findings showed that students’ story writing skills improved through the implementation of PjBL. The average score increased from 62.86 in the first cycle to 79.29 in the second cycle. The percentage of learning mastery also rose from 42.86% in the first cycle to 85.71% in the second cycle. The legislative body is an institution or council that has the duty and authority to make laws and constitutions in a country. In the general explanation of Law Number 23 of 2014, it is stated that the Regional People's Representative Council, hereinafter abbreviated as DPRD, is a Regional People's Representative Institution which serves as an organizing element of the Regional Government. This research using a qualitative descriptive analysis method, namely by explaining or describing the data obtained by providing logical and correct interpretations in accordance with existing facts and or legal rules that are closely related to this research. So this research is a research that is sourced from primary and secondary data using an empirical juridical approach. Based on the research results, the use of the initiative right of Sikka DPRD members in making local regulations in 2018-2021 is still less than optimal. This can be seen based on data on the number of draft local regulations passed in 2018-2021. The number of local regulations produced by Sikka Regency is 34 (thirty-four) local regulations, including 4 (four) local regulations initiated by the DPRD and 30 local regulations initiated by the Regional Government. DPRD tends to be considered passive in contrast to the Local Government which is more pro-active because the proposal of local regulations (Perda) is more dominated by the regional legislative body than the executive body. The obstacles in the implementation of the legislative function of the DPRD of Sikka Regency are caused by internal factors such as level of education and experience, as well as external factors such as lack of political communication between the DPRD and the Local Government. Based on the results of the study, the author's suggestion is that the proposed local regulations be examined and scrutinized in depth to ensure their legal content and impact on society. The DPRD of Sikka Regency needs to improve the capacity of human resources through training and technical guidance related to the formation of initiative local regulations by involving academics and experts.

Archives, as information recorded in various media, including cassette tapes, hold significant historical, cultural, and commercial value. These materials are classified as audiovisual archives. Among them, cassette tapes containing national and international songs form part of the collection at the Museum Musik Indonesia, located in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. As a self-managed museum run by a community of music enthusiasts, the Museum Musik Indonesia provides public access to information about its song collections. Given the large number of cassette tapes preserved, an effective information arrangement system is essential. This study recommends the use of a geographical classification system to organize the collection. Archive data is entered into a database using Microsoft Excel, allowing for structured cataloging and easier retrieval. This research employs a qualitative method, involving interviews with several informants from the Museum Musik Indonesia. The findings indicate that applying a geographical classification system in organizing cassette tape archives significantly improves the museum’s management capabilities. This system facilitates the rediscovery of archived items, enhances organization, and supports accurate record-keeping. Furthermore, electronic storage of archive information reduces the risk of data loss and ensures long-term preservation. The implementation of this arrangement not only benefits internal management but also enhances the quality of service provided to museum visitors. By enabling quicker and more accurate access to the collection, the museum can offer a richer and more engaging visitor experience. This study demonstrates that systematic archival practices, even when implemented with accessible tools like Microsoft Excel, can yield substantial benefits in cultural heritage preservation. The approach can serve as a reference for other small-scale or community-based museums seeking efficient, low-cost methods for managing and safeguarding their archival assets.
