This community engagement program was initiated in response to the predominance of academically oriented perceptions among parents regarding children’s intelligence, which tend to limit the recognition of children’s potential to cognitive achievement alone. The program aimed to enhance parents’ literacy and awareness of the Multiple Intelligences framework as a foundational basis for holistic child education in an Islamic elementary school context. A Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach was employed, encompassing participatory planning, conceptual socialization sessions, child potential mapping workshops, collective reflection, and continuous evaluation. The findings highlight substantive outcomes. Parents experienced a significant paradigm shift in understanding the diversity of children’s intelligences, moving from a single-dimensional academic perspective toward a more comprehensive and appreciative view of individual potential. Parenting practices became more supportive, dialogical, and less comparative. In addition, a parents’ communication forum emerged as a new social institution within the school community, accompanied by the rise of local leadership that contributes to program sustainability. These results demonstrate that educational mentoring grounded in the Multiple Intelligences framework effectively promotes social transformation in Islamic elementary education through strengthened collaboration between school and family.

This study examines the readiness of elementary school teachers to implement AI-based learning in the era of artificial intelligence, as technological advancements increasingly influence instructional practices in basic education. Despite the growing potential of artificial intelligence to support teaching and learning processes, empirical evidence regarding teachers’ preparedness at the elementary level remains limited. This study employed a descriptive quantitative research design involving 18 elementary school teachers. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire consisting of 15 Likert-scale items measuring technological skills, knowledge of artificial intelligence, attitudes toward AI, pedagogical readiness, and infrastructure support. Descriptive statistical analysis revealed that the overall mean score of teachers’ readiness was 4.08, indicating that teachers are generally ready to adopt AI-based learning. Technological skills emerged as the strongest aspect of readiness, reflecting teachers’ familiarity with digital tools and instructional technologies, while infrastructure and institutional support obtained the lowest mean score, highlighting challenges related to facilities, access to technology, and policy support. These findings suggest that although elementary school teachers demonstrate positive readiness and attitudes toward AI-based learning, effective and sustainable implementation requires strengthened institutional support, improved infrastructure, and continuous professional development to maximize the educational benefits of artificial intelligence in elementary education.

Background: Stunting remains a major public health concern in Indonesia, affecting children’s growth, development, and long-term health outcomes (Sari, 2020). Early childhood stunting can lead to cognitive delays, poor school performance, reduced productivity in adulthood, and increased risk of chronic diseases (Hapsari & Wulandari, 2019). Understanding the interaction of demographic, socioeconomic, and health-related factors is essential to reduce stunting prevalence and improve child health outcomes (Yuliani, 2019). Objective: This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing the incidence of stunting among children attending the Sagerat Public Health Center in Bitung City. Methods: A quantitative, observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. Thirty children were selected using purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria such as age under five years and available anthropometric data. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test was applied to examine the relationship between these factors and stunting incidence, with a significance level set at p < 0.05. Results: The analysis showed that 30 children (100%) in the study were at risk of stunting based on height-for-age measurements, with 20 children (90%) confirmed as stunted and 10 children (10%) having normal height. These results suggest that maternal education, socioeconomic status, nutrition, and access to healthcare are strongly associated with stunting in this population. Conclusion: Factors such as maternal education, socioeconomic status, dietary intake, and access to healthcare significantly influence the incidence of stunting among children at the Sagerat Public Health Center. Comprehensive community-based programs are recommended to reduce stunting prevalence and improve long-term health outcomes for children.

Traditional food is a national asset. It not only serves as a source of energy for the community, but also serves as a form of food security, an economic driver, a source of healthy food, and a culture steeped in noble values. The widespread consumption of unhealthy foods by students, especially elementary school students, is one of the reasons for this outreach activity. The health issues surrounding junk food must be addressed by offering healthy alternatives, such as traditional foods. Traditional food is not only related to food, but can also be linked to ethnomathematics, where culture in the form of food is studied from a mathematical perspective. Elementary school students not only consume traditional foods but also interpret these foods in mathematical contexts, such as geometry and numbers. In this way, students will be able to visualize mathematical elements not only when reading math textbooks but also when consuming traditional foods that are part of their daily environment. Despite their traditional nature, students actually enjoy some traditional foods. This is a frequent conflict between the current generation and traditional culture. They better understand how to prepare traditional foods, appreciate the richness of local culture, and develop a love for their culture and homeland.

This community service project aims to develop children's potential through the art of coloring as an effective educational tool to enhance social and cultural understanding. The activity was held at Jl. Binalatung, RT 11, Pantai Amal, Tarakan Timur, a coastal area that is also a border region. The background for this project is the limited access of children in this area to creative activities that could support their personal development and awareness of social and cultural diversity. A coloring competition was chosen as the approach, involving 30 participants from kindergarten to elementary school age, many of whom do not continue to formal education.Using a participatory method, children were not only invited to color but were also given an understanding of the meanings and cultural values embedded in each image. Furthermore, the activity was designed to foster a sense of togetherness, sportsmanship, and self-confidence. The results showed very high enthusiasm from the participants. They were not only able to produce beautiful artworks but also demonstrated an increased understanding of the importance of appreciating differences and cultural diversity. This report proves that the art of coloring plays a crucial role as a tool to bridge the knowledge gap and foster cultural awareness, especially for children in remote and border areas who have limited access to education and educational entertainment. Therefore, it is recommended that similar programs be continued with more varied materials to support the holistic development of children in coastal regions.

Urban poverty remains a complex development challenge in Indonesia, including in Jambi City. This study aims to examine the influence of education level and unemployment rate on the poverty level in Jambi City. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary cross-sectional data at the sub-district level for the year 2024 obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics. The dependent variable is the poverty rate, while the independent variables consist of the open unemployment rate and education level, proxied by the percentage of the population with at least secondary education (senior high school or equivalent). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the ordinary least squares (OLS) method. The results indicate that the unemployment rate has a positive and statistically significant effect on poverty in Jambi City. Meanwhile, the education variable shows a positive but statistically insignificant effect on poverty. These findings suggest that unemployment is a dominant factor influencing urban poverty, whereas improvements in education alone have not been sufficient to reduce poverty without adequate job creation. The study highlights the importance of integrating education policies with employment-oriented economic development strategies. The results are expected to provide empirical evidence to support local governments in formulating more effective and integrated poverty alleviation policies at the urban level.

The development of social media as part of digital technology has significantly transformed patterns of social interaction among adolescents in Indonesia. Social media no longer functions solely as a medium for communication and self-expression, but also as a social space that influences behavioral formation, including deviant and criminal behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media on juvenile criminal behavior from a criminological perspective, with particular attention to social learning processes and the weakening of social control in digital environments. This research employs a qualitative method using a literature study approach by examining scientific journals, official reports, and statistical data related to social media use and adolescent behavior. The findings indicate that high intensity of social media use, exposure to negative content, and the normalization of aggressive behavior in digital spaces contribute to increased vulnerability of adolescents to criminal behaviors such as cyberbullying, online aggression, and other forms of deviance. Within the framework of Social Learning Theory, social media serves as a medium for behavioral learning through mechanisms of observation, imitation, and social reinforcement, while Social Control Theory highlights how weak supervision by families and educational institutions amplifies the risk of deviant behavior. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of preventive, non-penal approaches through strengthening social control, improving digital literacy, and enhancing the active role of families and schools to minimize the risk of juvenile criminal behavior in the digital era.
