This study was motivated by the low ability of seventh grade students at SMP Dharma Karya UT to present descriptive texts orally, which is indicated by their lack of fluency, unclear pronunciation and intonation, and low self-confidence. This condition is aggravated by monotonous learning models that make students feel bored. One alternative to overcome this problem is the application of the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) learning model. This model focuses on the students’ actual ability levels so that the content and learning activities can be adjusted to their readiness to learn. This research used a quantitative method with a Randomized Demonstration Group Posttest Only Design and involved two groups: an experimental class and a control class. The sample consisted of 53 seventh grade students of SMP Dharma Karya UT. The research instrument was a test of oral descriptive text presentation skills. The results show a significant effect of applying the TaRL model on students’ ability to present descriptive texts orally. The experimental class receiving TaRL obtained an average posttest score of 47.8 out of 80, while the control class only scored 34.29 out of 80. The t-test showed tcount (2.45) > ttable (1.66) at a 5% significance level, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It can therefore be concluded that the application of the TaRL model is more effective than conventional teaching in improving students’ oral presentation skills of descriptive texts.

Based on the results of initial interviews and observations, it was found that several students still experienced difficulties in writing procedural texts effectively. These difficulties included a lack of understanding of the structure and characteristics of procedural texts, challenges in expressing ideas in written form, limited ability to compose coherent and communicative sentences, and the use of monotonous learning models that failed to stimulate student motivation. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model based on the Tri N approach (Niteni, Niroke, and Nambahake) to improve the procedural text writing skills of fourth-grade students at Sidomukti Elementary School, Ambal Sub-district, Kebumen Regency, as well as to identify the improvement in writing skills after its application. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the application of the PjBL model integrated with Tri N values significantly improved students’ ability to write procedural texts. The learning process was carried out through six main stages of PjBL: formulating essential questions, planning projects, creating schedules, monitoring student activities, testing results, and evaluating learning experiences. The integration with Tri N principles encouraged students to understand, imitate, and develop their writing skills gradually. Thus, the PjBL model based on Tri N proved effective in helping students overcome writing difficulties while also fostering creativity, independence, and active participation in the learning process.

In the Candi Village community, there is still a phenomenon of a lack of awareness in understanding, exploring, and experiencing the historical values contained in Gedong Songo Temple. This condition has implications for the less than optimal use of historical sites as educational facilities and media for forming local cultural identity. Efforts to increase historical awareness are considered more effective if instilled from an early age through a contextual and applied educational approach. This study focused on students of SDN Candi 03, most of whom come from four hamlets around the area, namely Talun, Nglarangan, Ngipik, and Ndarum. The community service program designed aims to provide solutions to the partner's priority problem, namely low historical awareness among students, through the application of educational tourism and Project Based Learning (PjBL) methods. Educational tourism is positioned as a learning strategy that integrates recreational and educational aspects, allowing students to gain firsthand experience in interpreting historical sites. Meanwhile, PjBL is oriented towards project-based activities that encourage active student involvement in exploring real-world problems and producing creative products or solutions. The program is divided into three main stages: preparation, activity implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The results of these activities are expected to increase students' knowledge, awareness, and concern for local cultural heritage, while fostering a sense of responsibility in preserving Gedong Songo Temple. Thus, educational tourism and PjBL-based education can be a relevant alternative model for fostering historical awareness among the younger generation in areas surrounding historical sites.

Vocabulary mastery is a fundamental component in English language learning that determines comprehension, speaking, and writing skills. However, in the context of district-level communities, including the Regional Library of Labuhan Batu, vocabulary learning still faces various challenges such as the lack of contextual teaching materials, the dominance of rote learning methods, and the limited use of local resources. To address these issues, this Community Service Program (PkM) proposes the application of lexical analysis on 100 local library documents as the basis for developing interactive media used in vocabulary training. The method employed is a community-based participatory approach, with stages including preparation, lexical analysis, media development, training, and evaluation. Corpus analysis produced 27,800 word types with 200 high-frequency words and 1,350 distinctive local vocabulary items. The interactive media developed include multimedia modules, Wordwall quizzes, mobile-based gamification, and bilingual infographics. The training was attended by 40 participants, with evaluation results showing a significant improvement in the average post-test score (76.8) compared to the pre-test (42.5), and 82.5% of participants achieving scores ≥70. Furthermore, 90% of participants reported increased motivation to learn, and 85% considered the locally based materials more relevant. The phenomenon of poor emotional management among students, such as irritability, low empathy, and lack of cooperation skills, poses a challenge in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. This study aims to examine the dimensions of students’ emotional intelligence in the context of PAI learning based on the theories of Daniel Goleman and Salovey-Mayer. Using a literature review approach and qualitative content analysis, this research explores various theories, empirical research findings, and expert opinions derived from relevant journals, books, and scholarly works. The results indicate that emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in the success of PAI learning, particularly in shaping students’ character, Islamic morals, and social skills. Goleman’s theory, which emphasizes five main dimensions self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills can be integrated with the Salovey-Mayer model, which outlines the abilities of perceiving, understanding, and managing emotions cognitively. These dimensions can be synergistically implemented in the PAI learning process to achieve holistic Islamic education goals. In this context, PAI learning is not only oriented toward the transfer of religious knowledge but also toward the formation of an Islamic personality through the integration of emotional management with Islamic values. Teachers, as uswah hasanah (exemplary role models), play a vital role in demonstrating emotional management aligned with Islamic teachings, guiding students through the habituation of Islamic behavior, and providing direction that encourages discipline in worship. A comprehensive understanding of Islam, combined with emotional management skills, shapes students who are not only intellectually intelligent but also emotionally and spiritually mature.

Numeracy is an important skill that elementary school students must have, but in reality it is still relatively low because learning tends to be conventional and less contextual. Numeracy does not only include the ability to count, but also the ability to understand, use, and interpret numbers and data in various daily life contexts. One of the causes of low student numeracy is a learning approach that is less interesting and not related to real situations. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the contextual learning model (Contextual Teaching and Learning/CTL) in improving students' mathematical numeracy skills. The research design used was a one-group pretest-posttest experiment with 23 fifth-grade students of SDN 002 Teluk Bintan as subjects. The instrument in the form of a numeracy test was given before and after the implementation of CTL, then the data were analyzed using prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity) followed by a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase in students' numeracy skills. The average pretest score of 24.78 increased to 73.91 in the posttest with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This increase proves that CTL is effective in helping students master numeracy through a learning process that links mathematical concepts with real experiences. Thus, the contextual learning model can be an alternative learning strategy that is relevant for increasing elementary school students' numeracy, while emphasizing the importance of implementing a more applicable approach in mathematics learning.
