Many students find traditional learning methods to be uninteresting, which can lead to a lackluster classroom environment. This is often due to teachers delivering material that fails to engage students and a lack of interaction between teachers and students. As a result, students may struggle to understand the material presented to them, leading to suboptimal learning outcomes. However, advancements in technology offer solutions to this issue. The use of Virtual Reality (VR) is an effective way to support learning and make it more engaging. Studies show that incorporating VR in elementary school mathematics education can be particularly helpful. VR allows for a more realistic and contextual learning experience, making topics that are often considered difficult or boring more interesting and interactive. In addition, research has shown that technology such as Wolfram's Mathematica can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts and computational skills. This research aims to explore teachers' understanding of the potential of VR as a learning medium and how it can be used to visualize abstract concepts that are challenging to grasp. By implementing this technology, we can improve learning outcomes for elementary school students.

The research focuses on creating an automated attendance system using face recognition through the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) approach at IPB University's Vocational School. The current manual attendance methods show limitations, such as potential inaccuracies in recording and the risk of cheating, like attendance proxies. To overcome these challenges, this study applies the CNN approach with Python and OpenCV, enabling automatic face detection and recognition for students. The system accurately logs attendance by identifying faces in real time. Testing indicates that the system records attendance reliably, whether with a single individual or with multiple faces present within a single frame.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increasingly become an integral component of modern education, offering significant opportunities to improve accessibility, efficiency, and personalized learning. This study explores students’ perceptions of AI in educational contexts, focusing not only on its practical benefits but also on ethical concerns, particularly regarding data privacy and social responsibility. Adopting a mixed-method design, the research collected data through surveys and classroom observations. The survey responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics to identify trends in perceptions, while observation notes were thematically coded to capture students’ real interactions with AI applications. The findings reveal that students generally exhibit a positive attitude toward AI, recognizing its potential to enhance learning experiences by making education more accessible and efficient. However, the study also highlights that concerns over data privacy and the potential misuse of information remain central issues. Moreover, a notable gap exists between students’ appreciation of the practical benefits of AI and their awareness of ethical dimensions such as algorithmic bias and digital responsibility. This imbalance suggests that while students are ready to embrace AI as a tool, they may not yet be adequately prepared to address the broader ethical implications of its use. The discussion situates these findings within the framework of digital ethics, emphasizing the need for education systems to integrate ethical literacy alongside technological skills. By doing so, schools and universities can ensure that students are both technologically competent and socially responsible. The study concludes that although AI is welcomed in educational settings, greater emphasis on digital ethics education is essential to maximize its benefits and minimize potential risks. This research provides a basis for future studies on policy development and ethical practices for AI in the classroom.

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of affective audio consisting of music and emotional narration on emotional changes among junior high school students at Al-Andalusia Orphanage Foundation, Pela Mampang. Adolescence is a developmental period characterized by emotional fluctuations influenced by academic, social, and environmental demands, highlighting the need for simple and accessible emotional regulation interventions. This research employed a quasi-experimental method using a pretest–posttest control group design. A total of 30 junior high school students participated in the study and were randomly assigned to an experimental group (n = 15) and a control group (n = 15). The experimental group received affective audio exposure for 5–7 minutes, while the control group did not receive any treatment. Emotional states were measured using the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), which assesses positive and negative affect. Data were analyzed using a paired samples t-test. The results indicated a decrease in emotional scores in the experimental group after the intervention; however, the difference was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). Nevertheless, the effect size for the experimental group was in the moderate range, suggesting a meaningful practical effect of affective audio on students’ emotional states. These findings indicate that affective audio has potential as a light emotional intervention, although future studies with stronger methodological designs are recommended.

Indonesia is a diverse nation with a wide range of religions, ethnicities, cultures, languages, and traditions spread across its vast territory from Sabang to Merauke. This diversity, on the one hand, serves as a strength of the nation, yet on the other hand, it also carries the potential for conflict if not managed properly through the practice of tolerance. Students, as agents of change, hold a strategic role in maintaining harmony and peace, both within campus environments and in society at large. This study aims to analyze the implementation of tolerance values among university students in order to achieve peace in a plural society. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing relevant literature on tolerance, students, and social peace. The findings reveal that students’ tolerance can be manifested in academic settings, organizational activities, social interactions, and religious practices. However, its implementation faces challenges such as intolerance, radicalism, identity politics, and the misuse of social media. Strengthening tolerance values can be carried out through multicultural education, character building, and student engagement in cross-cultural and interfaith organizations. Thus, students are not only academic individuals but also moral, social, and intellectual role models who can serve as key drivers in fostering peace and harmony within Indonesia’s diverse society.

This research discusses the interaction between prayer and technology in enhancing the effectiveness of theological education in the digital age. The key issues addressed in this study include the challenges of traditional theological education, the impact of technology on the teaching and learning process, and the importance of integrating spiritual practices within a digital context. The aim of this research is to explore how prayer can be integrated with technology to create a deeper and more effective learning experience. The research method used is qualitative, involving interviews with theological educators, as well as content analysis from various digital educational platforms. The state of the art in this research indicates that while technology has transformed the way education is delivered, many theological education institutions still have not optimized the potential for integrating prayer into the learning process. The novelty of this research lies in its emphasis on the relationship between spiritual practices and the use of technology, which can enhance student engagement and understanding. The findings suggest that the combination of prayer and technology can create a more interactive and supportive learning environment, as well as increase student motivation and retention in theological education. This research is expected to provide insights for theological educators in utilizing technology more effectively while maintaining the spiritual aspects of teaching.
