Nutrition is very important in human development and growth. The 2021 edition of UNICEF-WHO-WORLD BANK states that 148.2 million children aged 0-5 years worldwide are stunted, 38.9 million are overweight, and 45.4 million are severely wasted. Nutritional problems often occur at the age of 6-24 months due to inadequate nutrition because of lack of mother's knowledge, therefore it is necessary to carry out interventions to increase mother's knowledge regarding balanced nutrition of children under two. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health promotion media on changes in the nutritional status of children under two years in Paloh Punti Village, Muara Satu District, Lhokseumawe. This research method used quasi-experimental quantitative research with a one group pretest-posttest design and involved 51 children under two years. The data collection technique used was purposive random sampling. The data collected is primary data in the form of body weight which is limited to nutritional status based on body weight/age. The results showed that the nutritional status of children under two years was 92.1% in the good nutritional status category after the intervention. The change in nutritional status from malnutrition to normal nutrition from the results of the prostest compared to the pretest was 27.4%. The use of health promotion media has an effect on malnutrition status based on the Wilcoxon test with a p-value of 0.029. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of health promotion media on the nutritional status of children under two years in Paloh Punti Village, Muara Satu District, Lhokseumawe.

One of the most important preventive efforts to protect children from sexual violence is sex education. The implementation of sex education is sometimes delayed or ignored because many people still misunderstand it as a method of education about sexual behavior. The purpose of this study is to highlight the importance of providing sex education to children so that they can protect themselves from potential sexual exploitation. The approach used is a literature review of several books, scientific journals, and related policy documents. Based on the results of the study, children who do not receive sex education are more likely to experience violence, engage in inappropriate sexual behavior, and be exposed to misinformation from the media or their environment. It has been proven that appropriate sex education that is in accordance with the child's developmental stage helps children become more self-aware, understand their own body's limitations, and gain the ability to say "no" and ask for help. The conclusion of this study highlights that sex education is a form of early childhood education that involves the responsibility of parents, teachers, society, and government and does not explicitly teach sexual activity. The implications of this study indicate that integrated sex education from an early age can be a national strategy in preventing sexual violence against children.

Sexual education for children, especially girls, is an important aspect in efforts to protect themselves from social risks such as harassment, violence, and exploitation. This article aims to examine the urgency of integrating sexual education into the basic education system as a strategic preventive measure. The method used is library research by reviewing various scientific literature, reference books, and education policy documents. The results of the study show that many parents still have a wrong understanding of sexual education, so discussions about the body, privacy, and social boundaries are often avoided. In fact, sexual education that is delivered appropriately according to the stages of child development can increase self-awareness, build self-confidence, and strengthen children's communication skills in dealing with risky social situations. Schools have a strategic role as a safe and conducive educational environment in introducing the concept of sexuality in a healthy and responsible manner. Therefore, sexual education should be an integral part of the national curriculum in order to support optimal child growth and development and protect them from various forms of violence.

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence learning motivation in early childhood, both from internal and external aspects. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various relevant sources published in the last ten years. The analysis was carried out by comparing and compiling related findings to build a structured framework. The results of the study indicate that early childhood learning motivation is influenced by internal factors such as interest, self-confidence, and physical and mental conditions, as well as external factors such as the role of family, teachers, learning environment, peers, and the impact of digitalization. The family is the main element in shaping children's learning motivation, while teachers and the learning environment play an important role in creating a fun and supportive learning atmosphere. Early childhood is a child aged between 0 and 6 years. The early years are a special time for every child; this period is known as the "golden age" because of the rapid development of children during this period. The goal of early childhood education is to provide learning activities that can develop children's talents and skills and educate them about discipline by disposing of waste according to its type, not in the designated trash can. Early discipline is very important for children's adjustment in everyday life because it can help develop a healthy character that allows children to make their own decisions about what is and is not allowed to do in everyday situations. The purpose of this study is to improve a disciplined environment that encourages healthy child development so that children can grow into responsible, compassionate individuals who can learn from their mistakes. From the results of the study obtained using a descriptive qualitative approach method, it can be concluded that the purpose of daily activities is to help children develop discipline. Teachers often ask students to come to school ten minutes before the bell rings, shake hands, remind them to complete assignments on time, dress appropriately for school, and throw trash in the designated place.

Maternal and child health (MCH) is a priority in health development, especially in preventing pregnancy complications that may endanger the lives of both mothers and babies. One way to reduce these risks is through routine antenatal care and early detection of complications. However, in some areas, pregnant women still lack understanding of the importance of regular antenatal checks. This community service activity aims to increase pregnant women’s knowledge about the importance of antenatal care and early detection of pregnancy complications at Posyandu Ester 24, a working area of Puskesmas Dua Puluh Tiga Ilir, Palembang, conducted from December 1 to 6, 2024. The activity involved counseling, free antenatal care checks, and training for healthcare workers. The results showed an improvement in pregnant women’s understanding of pregnancy danger signs and the importance of routine healthcare. Antenatal care successfully detected several health risk factors, such as anemia and chronic energy deficiency (CED), allowing for early intervention. Although the main challenge was motivating pregnant women to attend routine checks, the activity successfully increased participation in antenatal care and health education. It is hoped that this activity can serve as a model for other maternal and child health programs in the future.
