This study investigates the application of David B. Resnik's ethical principles—honesty, objectivity, integrity, carefulness, and openness—in academic writing and research among students. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, surveys and student paper analyses were conducted to measure awareness, adherence, and challenges. The results indicate that 95% of students are aware of general ethical principles in academic writing, yet only 70% are familiar with Resnik’s specific framework, leaving 30% unaware of these detailed concepts. Regarding practice, 100% of respondents consistently cited sources correctly, but 66% admitted to paraphrasing without proper attribution, showing gaps between ethical knowledge and application. Challenges identified include maintaining honesty (51%), avoiding plagiarism (29%), ensuring openness (11%), and minimizing bias (9%), often influenced by external pressures and resource limitations. To address these issues, students suggested practical solutions such as workshops, seminars, and digital guides to enhance understanding and compliance with ethical standards. This study emphasizes the importance of ethics education, institutional policy enhancements, and accessible resources to strengthen the implementation of academic integrity, bridging the gap between awareness and consistent ethical practice.

Domestic violence is a critical and increasing issue in Indonesia, as recorded by the National Commission on Violence Against Women. The government has addressed this issue by enacting Law Number 23 of 2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence (UU KDRT). This study aims to analyze the legal protections provided to DV victims under the law, identify implementation challenges, and evaluate improvement efforts. Using a qualitative approach with normative juridical methods, the research examines the provisions of UU KDRT and its practical application. The findings reveal that despite comprehensive protections, barriers such as patriarchal culture, social stigma, and limited protective infrastructure significantly hinder effectiveness. Policy reform, capacity building for law enforcement, and strengthening victim support infrastructure are proposed as key strategies. The study highlights the importance of cross-sectoral synergy to enhance the implementation of UU KDRT and ensure more effective legal protection for DV victims.

This research is a quantitative descriptive study with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out in two ways, quantitative data was analyzed by non-parametric statistics and qualitative data was classified through coding. The population and sample of this study were all 12 teachers. The results showed that (1) all teachers at SDN Kepanjen 01 Kepanjen District, Malang Regency carried out WFH according to the Government Circular Letter, namely the learning planning stage: using it for making lesson plans and discussing with fellow teachers; stages of the learning process: using google forms and WA for student attendance, zoom for delivering material, WA for giving and collecting assignments, youtube and the web for learning media; and the learning evaluation stage: using google forms for PH or PTS and gadgets to correct student evaluation results. (2) The implementation of WFH at SDN Kepanjen 01 encountered various obstacles. (3) Obstacles during WFH are categorized into obstacles in gadgets, internet, material understanding, finance, communication, and level of focus. (4) The solution to the problems experienced is adjusted to the situation and condition of teachers and students' families at SDN Kepanjen 01 so that WFH and BDR can still run optimally. (5) WFH has a positive impact, namely creating a feeling of security because it avoids the spread of covid-19, has more free time, is free to determine work schedules, and automatically reduces transportation costs. While the negative impact is that teachers experience boredom, reduced interaction with colleagues, lowers the quality of performance results, and is addicted to social media. The researcher's suggestions for teachers are that teachers should (1) implement whatever policies have been set by the Principal with full responsibility and enthusiasm; (2) discuss all the obstacles that arise during WFH with the Principal and fellow teachers in order to obtain the most appropriate solution; (3) always teach students to apply health protocols at home; and (4) although WFH has a negative impact, teachers must be able to overcome it in various ways so as not to affect the quality of learning for students.

This paper describes the dynamics of legal politics in the regulation of Simultaneous Regional Elections in Indonesia with a focus on the effectiveness of implementation and its impact on local democracy. Simultaneous Regional Elections, which began in 2015, are the government's efforts to improve the efficiency of regional head elections while strengthening the democratic system. However, its implementation faces various challenges, such as regulatory complexity, potential political conflict, and impacts on the quality of representation at the local level. This study uses a juridical-normative approach with a qualitative analysis method to evaluate the laws and regulations governing Simultaneous Regional Elections, including Law Number 10 of 2016 and its implementing policies. Data were obtained through literature studies, legal documents, and interviews with relevant stakeholders. The results of the study show that, although Simultaneous Regional Elections bring benefits in the form of budget efficiency and strengthening political stability, this policy also poses a number of challenges. Among them are the gap in local government capacity, strengthening political oligarchy, and decreasing the quality of community participation at the local level. In addition, the implementation of Simultaneous Regional Elections tends to sacrifice regional autonomy in the context of local democracy, given the homogenization of election times that do not always match regional needs. This study recommends the need for a revision of regulations that are more adaptive to local needs, increasing public political education, and strengthening the capacity of election organizers to ensure that Simultaneous Regional Elections can run effectively without sacrificing the principles of local democracy.

The export of marine sand from Indonesia to Singapore has been a controversial issue for decades, involving economic, environmental, and political interests. This study examines Indonesia's marine sand export policy, especially after the issuance of Government Regulation Number 26 of 2023, which reopened export permits after more than 20 years of prohibition. This policy aims to manage marine sedimentation to prevent disruption to ecosystems and shipping and meet domestic reclamation needs. However, there are many pros and cons that arise. On the one hand, this policy is expected to increase state revenue and open up employment opportunities. On the other hand , sea sand mining activities can cause serious environmental damage. This study uses qualitative methods with literature analysis to understand the impact of the policy. The results show that this policy provides more short-term benefits to the government and business actors, but poses long-term threats to the environment and society. Unsupervised marine sand mining has the potential to damage marine ecosystems, reduce fishermen's productivity, and threaten the sustainability of Indonesia's coastal areas. Therefore, more effective supervision and implementation of policies regarding this activity is needed.
