This study analyzes the reconstruction of Human Rights (HR) in Indonesia through the integration of Pancasila values and Islamic Religious Education (IRE) within the framework of Islamic Sociological Jurisprudence. In the Indonesian context, human rights are not merely perceived as universal individual liberties, but are understood within broader philosophical, religious, and socio-cultural dimensions. Pancasila functions as the foundational framework that harmonizes individual rights with social responsibilities, while Islamic teachings provide normative and theological foundations through principles such as maqasid al-shari‘ah, justice (‘adl), and human dignity (karamah insaniyyah), as well as Qur’anic values of tolerance and moderation (tasamuh and wasatiyyah). This research adopts a qualitative method with a descriptive approach based on literature review, drawing upon various scholarly sources related to human rights, Islamic education, and sociological jurisprudence. The findings reveal that the integration of Pancasila and Islamic Religious Education generates a comprehensive understanding of human rights that is both normative and contextual. Moreover, empirical findings indicate that a deeper comprehension of Qur’anic teachings on tolerance is positively correlated with the development of moderate and inclusive attitudes, thereby highlighting the significant role of education in internalizing human rights values. Additionally, the historical transition from pre-Islamic (Jahiliyyah) society to the Islamic era demonstrates that Islamic teachings function as an agent of social transformation by promoting justice, equality, and the protection of marginalized groups. From the perspective of Islamic Sociological Jurisprudence, law is viewed as a dynamic system that must remain responsive to evolving social conditions, ensuring that the reconstruction of human rights remains relevant and adaptable. In conclusion, the synergy between Pancasila values, Islamic teachings, and sociological legal approaches contributes to the formation of a more inclusive, balanced, and culturally grounded human rights paradigm in Indonesia.

his study examines the concept of sustainable business development through the lens of Islamic economics, focusing on the integration of three core dimensions: financial profit (profit), social empowerment (people), and environmental stewardship (planet). The urgency of this research is driven by the global environmental crisis and social inequality, which demand business models that pursue long-term welfare rather than merely short-term gains. Using a qualitative approach through a systematic literature review, this research analyzes how Islamic economic principles—including tawhid, justice ('adl), and the responsibility of khalifah—align with and reinforce the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The findings indicate that the Profit-People-Planet framework is not only compatible with Islamic teachings but is deeply embedded in Islamic economic ethics and the maqashid al-shariah framework. Instruments such as zakat, waqf, and Islamic financing serve as practical mechanisms that simultaneously support halal profit generation, enhance community welfare distributively, and ensure environmental protection through the principle of hifz al-bi’ah. This study concludes that Islamic economics offers a holistic, ethical, and value-based framework for building sustainable businesses that are profitable, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious in the modern era.

This study seeks to examine the views of Islamic boarding school students regarding Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) learning based on the Yellow Book as the primary reference at the Madrasah Diniyah Wustha An Nuur in Ponorogo. As a legacy of traditional Islamic scholarship, this book plays a vital role in the Islamic boarding school curriculum, although its relevance and effectiveness in modern education are often discussed among academics. Using a qualitative approach combined with descriptive-interpretive analysis, this study maps various aspects of students' perceptions, including teaching techniques, material content, obstacles encountered, and the relationship of the Yellow Book to understanding Islamic jurisprudence. The study revealed that students' responses were generally positive, but they were still hampered by limited Arabic language skills and difficulties translating the book's teachings into the context of contemporary life. Based on these findings, the implementation of more flexible learning methods such as bandongan, sorogan, and muhadlarah integrated with a contextual approach is needed to strengthen students' understanding and appreciation of traditional Islamic jurisprudence.

This study aims to examine the role of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in shaping students’ Islamic character through a character education approach. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research design by reviewing various literature sources, including books, journal articles, and relevant previous studies. The findings indicate that Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers play a strategic role as educators, mentors, role models, facilitators, and guides in instilling Islamic character values in students from an early age. These values include honesty, discipline, responsibility, patience, empathy, humility, gratitude, mutual respect, cooperation, and obedience to Islamic teachings. The formation of Islamic character is carried out through classroom learning activities, daily habituation, exemplary behavior demonstrated by teachers, and various religious programs integrated into school life, such as congregational prayers, Qur’an recitation, and Islamic celebrations. In addition, teachers collaborate with parents and the school environment to create a consistent and supportive atmosphere for character development. The study concludes that the success of Islamic character education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level is strongly influenced by the consistency, commitment, and quality of teachers’ roles in carrying out their educational responsibilities and serving as positive examples for students in everyday life.

This study was motivated by the fact that students still experience difficulties in understanding Nahwu and Shorof despite studying both sciences in Islamic boarding schools. The purpose of this research was to examine the perspectives of Arabic language, Nahwu, and Shorof teachers regarding the importance of Nahwu and Shorof in Arabic language learning, their understanding of the concepts and applications, and the effectiveness of learning implementation at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hidayah East Tanjung Jabung. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings revealed that teachers considered Nahwu and Shorof as the fundamental basis of Arabic language learning because these sciences regulate sentence structures, word transformations, and meanings in Arabic texts. Teachers believed that mastery of Nahwu and Shorof is essential for understanding the Qur’an, hadith, and classical Islamic books. The learning process was considered fairly effective since many students already had prior knowledge from pesantren education and showed progress during the learning process. However, the effectiveness of learning still faced several obstacles, including low student motivation, differences in students’ basic abilities, limited learning time, and the complexity of the material. This study concludes that improving the quality of Nahwu and Shorof learning requires more varied teaching methods, continuous motivation, regular material reinforcement, and stronger institutional support.

This study examines the historical development of education in Malaysia, which has undergone a shift from the traditional pondok system to modern religious schools. This change was influenced by various factors, including social dynamics, colonial influence, and societal demands for a more structured and relevant education system. This study aims to explain this development process and identify the various factors driving this change. The research employed a qualitative approach through literature review, utilizing various sources, books, journals, and scientific documents, which were analyzed descriptively to gain a deeper understanding. The results show that the pondok system, which was initially informal and simple, even focusing only on teaching religious knowledge and moral development, underwent changes due to the influence of colonialism, the development of Western education, and the increasing societal need for formal education. This change gave rise to modern madrasahs and religious schools with more structured curricula, integrating religious and general knowledge, and implementing more systematic methods. The findings of this study confirm that this development did not completely eliminate the pondok system, but rather developed it into a more comprehensive educational system, enabling Islamic education in Malaysia to remain steadfast in Islamic values and adapt to modern demands.

The rapid transformation of education driven by globalization and technological advancement demands adaptive learning approaches that align with the characteristics of Generation Z learners. This generation is known for its curiosity, independence in thinking, and openness to diverse perspectives, yet it is also vulnerable to misinformation and negative online influences. Within the context of Islamic education, learning is not solely oriented toward cognitive development but also emphasizes the cultivation of moral values, particularly tolerance. This study aims to explore how contextual teaching methods can contribute to fostering tolerant attitudes among Generation Z students in Islamic educational settings. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research, utilizing a descriptive-analytical framework. Data were collected from various sources, including academic journals, books, and previous studies related to contextual learning, multicultural education, and Generation Z characteristics. The data collection technique involved document analysis, followed by content analysis procedures such as data reduction, categorization, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that contextual learning effectively promotes tolerance by engaging students in discussion, problem-solving, reflection, and real-life experiences. The integration of multicultural values and the role of teachers as facilitators and role models further strengthen this process. However, challenges remain, including limited teacher understanding, the persistence of conventional methods, inadequate supporting facilities, and the influence of social media. Overall, contextual learning presents a relevant strategy for developing open-minded, balanced, and socially adaptive Generation Z learners.

This study is motivated by the importance of understanding theology not merely as a theoretical concept, but as a reflection of faith that is lived within the cultural context of society. In the context of the Dayak community in Central Kalimantan, there is a close relationship between cultural values and spiritual life, thus requiring a theological approach that can bridge the two. This study aims to analyze the praxis model in contextual theology and its application in the life of the Dayak community. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through literature study by examining various relevant sources. The results show that the praxis model emphasizes the relationship between lived experience, faith reflection, and concrete action. Cultural values such as togetherness and mutual cooperation are in line with Christian teachings; however, there are also traditional practices that create tension with faith. The church plays an important role in addressing this through a dialogical and reflective approach. The implications of this study indicate that the application of the praxis model enables believers to live out their faith in a contextual, relevant, and transformative way in daily life without losing their cultural identity.Top of Form

The crisis of human spirituality, which separates the inner dimension from the universe, is at the root of the current global environmental crisis. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively examine how Sufi principles are applied in environmental conservation practices at the Shadana Islamic Boarding School in Padarincang, and to determine how the teachings of the book Fathul 'Arifin influence the formation of the students’ ecological ethics. This research was conducted qualitatively through a case study. Data were collected through document analysis, in-depth interviews, and participatory observation from September 22 to October 5, 2025. The results indicate that the concept of spiritual purification, or tazkiyatun nafs, is integrated with nature conservation by activating the seven lathaif. Environmental conservation, such as protecting springs and forests, is viewed as a form of spiritual devotion to the Creator, as human awareness of the elements of fire, water, wind, and earth fosters a strong inner connection with the macrocosm or the universe. The results indicate that the santri paradigm has shifted from anthropocentrism to theocentrism. This study proposes an “Eco-Sufism” model, grounded in the transformation of inner consciousness, as an alternative solution to address environmental degradation. This approach emphasizes that to foster sustainable harmony among humans, God, and the universe, ecosystem sustainability requires a strong foundation of spirituality.

FUNDAMENTUM : Jurnal Pengabdian Multidisiplin 2026 Asosiasi Peneliti Dan Pengajar Ilmu Sosial Indonesia

Islamic religious education at the Madrasah Diniyah level often relies on passive, one-directional teaching methods that reduce madrasah student engagement and long-term retention. This community service study aimed to improve the quality of Fiqh instruction at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Ishlah Kalirejo, Pasuruan, by implementing kinesthetic games, Small Group Discussion (SGD), and visual teaching aids within the framework of Kitab Mabadi’ Fiqhiyyah. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through four participatory observation sessions, with visual documentation serving as primary data. The program was implemented in four thematic meetings covering funeral prayer procedures, tayammum, hajj simulation (tawaf), and najis classification. Findings indicate that kinesthetic games effectively reduced affective barriers and increased student focus, while the SGD model with a 1:8 mentor-to-student ratio enabled precise procedural correction for motor-based worship practices. The use of concrete teaching aids successfully transformed abstract Fiqh concepts into tangible, memorable knowledge. This study concludes that the integration of active learning methods, small-group mentoring, and visual media within traditional Islamic education settings can significantly enhance student engagement and comprehension. These findings offer a replicable pedagogical model for Madrasah Diniyah educators seeking to modernize instruction while preserving classical curriculum integrity.

RISOMA : Jurnal Riset Sosial Humaniora dan Pendidikan 2026 Asosiasi Ilmuwan Pendidikan, Sosial, dan Humaniora Indonesia

This study examines the reproduction of social inequality in education through the theoretical framework of Pierre Bourdieu within a critical sociology perspective. The background of this research is rooted in the persistent gap in educational access, participation, and achievement among students from different social classes, which indicates that education does not always function as a tool for social mobility. The objective of this study is to analyze how mechanisms such as habitus, cultural capital, social capital, and the educational field contribute to sustaining inequality. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis within an educational setting characterized by diverse socio-economic backgrounds. The findings reveal that students from higher socio-economic backgrounds tend to possess dominant cultural capital and habitus that align with institutional expectations, giving them a significant advantage in academic achievement. Conversely, students from lower socio-economic backgrounds face structural and symbolic barriers that limit their opportunities. The study also finds that educational practices, including teaching methods and evaluation systems, implicitly favor certain groups, thereby reinforcing inequality. The implications of this research highlight the need for more inclusive educational policies and practices that recognize diverse forms of capital and promote equal opportunities for all students. Ultimately, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of how education functions as a site of social reproduction rather than merely a neutral institution.

This community engagement initiative was prompted by students’ limited understanding of how to package local content into educational products with economic value, as well as the suboptimal integration of entrepreneurial values into teaching. The aim of this initiative is to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students through edupreneurship, developed in the form of an exhibition based on local product. The method employed was the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which involved students as active participants in the training, production, and marketing of local products, as well as in the organisation of the exhibition. The activity began with training on the basic concepts of edupreneurship, product packaging, and marketing strategies. The exhibition showcased various creative products such as food & beverage, eco bodycare, eco living style, and fashion accesories featuring local product motifs. This activity successfully enhanced students’ capacity for critical thinking, innovation, and productive collaboration. An entrepreneurship talk show held concurrently further strengthened students’ motivation and entrepreneurial insights. The results of the activity demonstrated that the management  exhibition effectively served as a medium for transforming local product such as food & beverage, eco bodycare, ecoliving style, fashion accesories learning into a contextual, practical, and economically valuable experience through the edupreneurship approach.
