The rapid development of technology and the dynamic global labor market require young generations, particularly Generation Z, to possess career readiness that is determined not only by technical skills but also by non-technical competencies, or soft skills. This study aims to analyze the role of soft skills, particularly creativity, in shaping the career preparedness and success of Generation Z. Literature synthesis indicates that Generation Z excels in digital literacy and technological adaptability but still faces challenges in social and emotional competencies, such as effective communication, empathy, and cross-generational collaboration. The imbalance between hard skills and soft skills affects work effectiveness, career mobility, and the ability to build professional networks. Creativity emerges as a strategic soft skill that enhances motivation, innovation, and productivity, and can be developed through the integration of soft and hard skills, project-based learning approaches, educational technology, and the strengthening of self-efficacy. The study also identifies challenges in fostering creativity in real workplace environments, including hierarchical organizational cultures and limited mechanisms for rewarding new ideas. Based on these findings, it is recommended that educational institutions, industries, and policymakers collaborate to create a sustainable ecosystem for soft skills development, enabling Generation Z to become innovative and adaptive change agents in a competitive global career landscape.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported in 2019 that 40 million people worldwide require palliative care, including those with cardiovascular disease (38%), cancer (34%), chronic lung disease (10.3%), AIDS (5.7%), and diabetes (4.6%). Palliative care aims to improve the quality of life of patients and families facing life-threatening illnesses by managing pain and physical, psychological, social, and spiritual problems. The main goal of this care is to reduce suffering and help patients cope with the limitations imposed by illness. The principles are to respect life, consider death a normal process, neither hasten nor delay death, and provide support until the end of life. This study aims to determine whether knowledge can influence the level of self-efficacy of nursing students at Awal Bros University. Using a correlational quantitative method, data were collected through the Palliative Care Quiz for Nursing and Self-efficacy Palliative Care Scale questionnaires. The results of the study show a significant relationship between knowledge and self-efficacy among students with p<0.005. These findings can be used as a basis for learning to improve the understanding of nursing students, especially in the context of palliative care, which is important for the quality of health services in the future.

The low level of financial literacy in Indonesia, which only reached 49.68% according to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2022, highlights the urgency of financial education from an early age. Children aged 11–12 are at an ideal developmental stage to understand basic financial concepts such as income, expenses, saving, and delayed gratification. This study aims to introduce financial literacy through an interactive learning medium in the form of a board game. Board games are chosen because they enhance children's engagement in learning while playing and serve as an alternative to excessive gadget use. Through gameplay, children practice financial decision-making by simulating buying and selling activities, managing expenses, and choosing to save. This approach also supports the development of children's self-efficacy, which refers to their belief in their ability to manage financial tasks. By applying this method, children are expected not only to understand the value of money but also to implement basic financial management skills in daily life. Educational board games offer an effective tool for instilling healthy financial habits from an early age.

This study aims to describe students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities on the topic of Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV) based on Polya’s problem-solving stages in relation to their levels of self-efficacy. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with three ninth-grade students from SMP Negeri 5 Gresik in the 2024/2025 academic year, selected through purposive sampling to represent high, medium, and low levels of self-efficacy. Data were collected using a self-efficacy questionnaire, problem-solving tests consisting of two contextual essay items on SPLDV, and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, encompassing data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, referring to Polya’s four stages: understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back. The results revealed that students with high self-efficacy were able to complete all four stages comprehensively and reflectively, demonstrating systematic and accurate reasoning. Students with medium self-efficacy successfully performed the first three stages but failed to verify their final results, while students with low self-efficacy only reached the stage of understanding the problem and struggled to plan or execute solutions. In conclusion, the level of self-efficacy influences students’ mathematical problem-solving performance, particularly in terms of strategic accuracy, procedural precision, and reflective evaluation.

This research explores the dual impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the academic writing experiences of English Literature students learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL). AI tools like ChatGPT, Grammarly, and QuillBot are commonly used for grammar correction and sentence construction. These tools are integrated into students' writing processes, providing valuable assistance in refining their written work. However, their psychological effects, particularly in terms of emotional and ethical implications, have not been sufficiently explored in previous research. This study employed a qualitative phenomenological approach, utilizing Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), to examine the experiences of ten final-year EFL students who actively use AI tools for academic writing. Through semi-structured interviews, the research identified three major themes: reduced technical stress, heightened dependency on AI tools, and ethical concerns about authorship. The findings suggest that while AI tools act as cognitive scaffolds, aiding students by improving fluency and reducing the burden of technical writing tasks, they also introduce psychological challenges. These challenges include increased dependency on the tools and concerns about the authenticity of their work, raising questions about academic integrity and self-efficacy. This study sheds light on the complex relationship between AI as an assistive technology and its potential to cause writing anxiety and dependency. By emphasizing both the positive and negative psychological impacts of AI, the study contributes to the growing body of literature on AI in education. It calls for the development of pedagogical frameworks that balance AI literacy, emotional resilience, and ethical considerations to ensure responsible and effective use of AI in academic contexts.

This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and job characteristics on the job satisfaction of freelance photographers in Surabaya. The background of this research is based on the growth of the gig economy, which has encouraged the emergence of independent work patterns where workers have the freedom to manage their own time, methods, and projects. However, this freelance work system also presents various challenges, such as project uncertainty, fluctuating workloads, and limited structured support or evaluation. In the context of freelance photography, these dynamics are particularly evident, as the work demands not only creativity but also managerial skills to organize work processes independently. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method with questionnaires distributed to 100 freelance photographers selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results indicate that self-efficacy and job characteristics significantly contribute to shaping job satisfaction. Strong self-efficacy particularly previous work experience enhances freelancers’ confidence in facing challenges, while clear job characteristics, especially in terms of task identity, make them feel more directed, valued, and satisfied with their work. These findings emphasize the importance of both internal and external factors in determining job satisfaction and provide theoretical as well as practical contributions to the management of freelance workers in the creative sector, particularly in designing adaptive work strategies in the digital economy era.

Adolescence represents a critical developmental stage marked by biological, psychological, and social dynamics. Within the educational context, adolescents often face high academic demands that may trigger stress, academic burnout, and excessive use of social media. This study aims to examine the influence of academic burnout, stress level, and social media usage intensity on academic self-efficacy among students at SMK Negeri 2 Depok Sleman. A total of 72 respondents participated, and data were analyzed using linear regression with SPSS 25 for Windows. The results revealed a constant value of 74.539, a t-value of 4.375 (p = 0.000), an F-value of 0.657, and an R² of 0.028. These findings indicate that the three variables contribute only 2.8% to academic self-efficacy, while 97.2% is influenced by other factors beyond this study. It is concluded that academic burnout, stress level, and social media usage intensity do not have a significant simultaneous effect on adolescents’ academic self-efficacy.

This study examines the impact of self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and digital skills on student job readiness in the era of digital fatigue. This study used a descriptive method and involved 202 students from Subang studying in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS. The results show that self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and digital skills each have a positive and significant impact on job readiness, and together increase students' adaptability and resilience in the era digital fatigue. These findings emphasize the importance of building self-confidence, managing emotions, and mastering digital skills to mitigate the impact of digital fatigue and prepare students for increasingly competitive and modern job markets. Cancer is a chronic disease that not only affects physical conditions but also imposes a significant psychological burden on both cancer patients and cancer survivors. Various mental health problems, such as anxiety, depression, stress, and psychological distress, are frequently experienced throughout the processes of diagnosis, treatment, and the survivorship phase. One psychological intervention that has developed and been widely studied is expressive writing, which allows individuals to freely express their thoughts and emotions through writing. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of expressive writing interventions on the mental health of cancer patients and cancer survivors using a literature review method. The article search process was conducted in international databases (ScienceDirect, PubMed, and SpringerLink) and a national database (Garuda), covering publications from 2020 to 2025. Article selection was carried out using PRISMA guidelines, and methodological quality assessment was conducted using the Critical Appraisal tools from the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Based on the selection results, nine articles met the eligibility criteria for analysis. The review findings indicate that most studies report positive effects of expressive writing in reducing anxiety, depression, stress, and psychological distress, as well as improving quality of life, positive affect, self-efficacy, and posttraumatic growth. However, the effectiveness of this intervention varies depending on individual characteristics, clinical context, writing structure and focus, intervention duration, and cultural appropriateness. Therefore, expressive writing has the potential to serve as an effective, flexible, and low-cost supportive intervention in cancer care, particularly when it is designed contextually and adaptively in accordance with patients’ psychological needs.

Earthquakes are natural disasters that frequently occur in coastal areas, posing significant threats to the survival and well-being of local communities. Due to the high vulnerability of these regions, it is crucial for the population to possess adequate preparedness and a strong sense of self-efficacy in responding to such disasters. Self-efficacy, referring to an individual's belief in their ability to overcome challenges or manage difficult situations, is considered a key factor in preparing for and responding to earthquakes. Previous studies have shown that individuals with higher levels of self-efficacy are more likely to be better prepared for natural disasters, including earthquakes. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and earthquake preparedness in the Parangtritis community, specifically in Dusun Sono. The primary objective of this research is to analyze the extent to which self-efficacy is related to earthquake preparedness. This study employs a descriptive correlational approach with a cross-sectional design, allowing the researcher to identify the relationship between two variables at a single point in time. A sample of 85 respondents was selected using purposive sampling, based on specific characteristics relevant to the research objectives. The respondents were from the Dusun Sono community, Parangtritis. Data were analyzed using Kendall’s Tau test to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and preparedness for earthquake disasters. The analysis revealed that 74.1% of respondents exhibited high self-efficacy, and 49.9% demonstrated good preparedness. Statistical analysis indicated a significant relationship between self-efficacy and earthquake preparedness, with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05), suggesting that the results are highly unlikely to have occurred by chance. Additionally, the correlation coefficient of 0.615 indicates a moderate strength of the relationship between the two variables. These findings provide strong evidence that higher levels of self-efficacy are associated with better preparedness for earthquake disasters.

This study aims to determine the role of work-life balance in mediating the effect of self-efficacy on turnover intention. The research employed a saturated sampling technique with a sample of 112 employees. The method used was a survey method with questionnaires and interviews, analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential  statistical analysis with SEM-PLS. The results of this study indicate that self-efficacy has a negative effect on turnover intention. Self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on work-life balance. Work-life balance negatively affects turnover intention. Furthermore, work-life balance is able to mediate the effect of self-efficacy on turnover intention. The theoretical implication of this research is a confirmation of attribution theory and its relation to the research variables. The practical implication provides alternative solutions to the problem of turnover intention. The recommendation given is that the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, should provide psychological support and a conducive work environment to enhance employees’ self-efficacy, while also developing flexible work policies that support work-life balance through workload management, rest periods, and a work culture that respects personal life.

This study aims to examine the role of self-efficacy as a mediator in the influence of achievement and learning interest on the practical ability of engine tune-up in eleventh grade students of the Light Vehicle Engineering Expertise Program at Muhammadiyah Seputih Raman Vocational High School. This study used an ex post facto method with a population of all students totaling eighty-four students and the sampling technique was carried out saturated. The research instrument was prepared in the form of a questionnaire, then tested for validity with product moment correlation and reliability using the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient so that the instrument is suitable for use in obtaining data. The results showed that learning achievement has a positive influence on practical ability, as well as learning interest is proven to have a positive influence. Simultaneously, both variables contribute significantly to the practical ability of engine tune-up, while self-efficacy plays an important role in strengthening the relationship between learning achievement and learning interest with students' practical ability, so that the higher the self-efficacy, the more optimal the practical ability achieved..

Employee engagement is a crucial factor in improving individual performance and organizational success. Companies with a high level of employee engagement tend to create a positive, productive, and sustainable work environment. This study aims to analyze the impact of work environment, leadership style, and self-efficacy on employee engagement at PT Wisata Titiannusantara Pelangi (Al Malik Travel) West Jakarta. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a saturated sample method, involving 40 respondents out of the total population of 41 permanent employees. The research instrument is a Likert scale questionnaire, supported by observations and literature study. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 30 and Microsoft Excel 2006 with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results indicate that work environment and leadership style have no significant effect on employee engagement, while self-efficacy has a positive and significant impact on employee engagement. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.876 shows that the variables of work environment, leadership style, and self-efficacy explain 87.6% of employee engagement, while the remaining is influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings emphasize the importance of enhancing employee self-efficacy as the main factor in strengthening engagement, and provide practical implications for companies to develop more effective, sustainable human resource management strategies, focusing on improving employee self-confidence and competence.

This research is a quantitative study with a descriptive correlational design using a cross-sectional approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between depression level and self-efficacy among patients with kidney failure treated in the internal medicine ward of RS QIM Batang. The sample consisted of 40 respondents selected using purposive sampling from the population of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis. The instruments used were the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) to measure depression and a 25-item self-efficacy questionnaire to assess patients’ confidence. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman Rank test. The results showed that most respondents were in the normal depression category (31.4%), while 24.8% experienced severe depression. Regarding self-efficacy, the majority of respondents were in the high category (43.8%). The Spearman Rank test revealed a correlation coefficient (rho) of -0.881 with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a very strong and statistically significant negative relationship between depression and self-efficacy. This means that the higher the patients’ self-efficacy, the lower their level of depression. The conclusion of this study is that there is a very strong and significant relationship between depression level and self-efficacy among patients with kidney failure treated in the internal medicine ward of RS QIM Batang.

The purpose of this study is to examine the extent to which parental democratic parenting style is related to students’ level of self-efficacy in completing their undergraduate thesis. Self-efficacy, or an individual’s belief in their ability to achieve specific goals, plays a crucial role in determining academic success, particularly in the thesis writing process. This research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study involved a total of 141 student respondents, selected using a simple random sampling technique to ensure representativeness. The research instrument consisted of questionnaires designed to measure students’ perceptions of their parents’ parenting style and their self-efficacy levels regarding thesis completion. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test to identify the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The results revealed that most respondents perceived their parents’ democratic parenting style as high, with 27 respondents (19.1%) categorized in this group. In addition, students’ self-efficacy levels were found to be predominantly high, with 132 respondents (93.6%). Statistical analysis showed a significant correlation between democratic parenting style and students’ self-efficacy in thesis completion, with a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05). The correlation coefficient was 0.289, indicating a moderate relationship. These findings suggest that democratic parenting, characterized by warmth, support, and open communication, plays an important role in shaping students’ confidence and belief in their ability to successfully complete academic tasks, particularly their undergraduate thesis. Thus, the study highlights the contribution of family environment as a supportive factor in enhancing students’ academic resilience and achievement.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between Parenting Self-Efficacy and Work-Family Conflict among nurses in Bukittinggi City. Parenting Self-Efficacy refers to the belief of parents in their ability to successfully carry out caregiving roles, while Work-Family Conflict is defined as a condition of role conflict that arises when the demands of work and family interfere with one another, thereby disrupting role balance. Nurses are one of the professions highly vulnerable to experiencing work-family conflict due to the demands of shift work, workload, and responsibilities at home, particularly for those who are married and have children. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design to examine the direction and strength of the relationship between the two variables. The participants consisted of 85 nurses working in Bukittinggi City, selected using purposive sampling with specific criteria, namely being married, having children, and having a minimum of three years of work experience. Data were collected using standardized instruments in the form of the Parenting Self-Efficacy Scale and the Work-Family Conflict Scale, both of which had previously undergone adaptation and validity testing. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis to determine the relationship between the two variables. The results showed a significant negative relationship between Parenting Self-Efficacy and Work-Family Conflict (r = -0.400, p < 0.01). This finding indicates that nurses with higher levels of Parenting Self-Efficacy tend to experience lower levels of Work-Family Conflict, and conversely, those with lower self-efficacy in parenting are more likely to encounter greater conflicts between work and family roles. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening Parenting Self-Efficacy as a strategy to help nurses manage dual-role demands more effectively.

This study aims to analyze the influence of hard skills and soft skills on job readiness through self-efficacy as a mediating variable in students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Yogyakarta State University. The background of the study is rooted in the increasing demands of the job market, which emphasize not only technical competence but also interpersonal skills and individual confidence in their own capabilities. As the world of work becomes increasingly competitive, the ability to balance technical skills with psychological readiness becomes a crucial factor. This study employed a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis and path analysis. A total of 229 respondents were selected using a two-stage random sampling method to ensure adequate representation. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS to test the validity, reliability, and fit of the structural model. The results revealed that hard skills had a significant but negative effect on job readiness, while soft skills showed a positive but statistically insignificant effect. Both hard and soft skills were shown to have a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy, with self-efficacy having a significant effect on job readiness. Further findings indicate that self-efficacy mediates the relationship between hard skills and job readiness, but not the relationship between soft skills and job readiness. Overall, this research emphasizes the importance of integrating hard skills, soft skills, and self-efficacy in building student job readiness. The implication is that universities need to design curricula and student development programs that not only strengthen technical competencies but also foster interpersonal skills and self-confidence so that graduates can compete in a dynamic job market.

In the midst of increasing organizational competition, issues of low organizational commitment remain prevalent, including at the Office of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Areas of Bali Province, as indicated by a high absenteeism rate and ineffective work behaviors. These problems are suspected to be influenced by inadequate training methods, low self-efficacy among employees, and a lack of job satisfaction. The present study explores the extent to which employee training and perceived self-efficacy contribute to fostering organizational commitment, with job satisfaction positioned as an intervening construct. Conducted within the context of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Agency of Bali Province, the research engaged a workforce population of 610 individuals. Through the application of the Slovin formula, a representative sample of 86 respondents was identified. Data were gathered through a combination of structured questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and document review. Analytical processing was undertaken using path analysis to model the causal relationships among variables. The empirical evidence revealed that both training initiatives and self-efficacy perceptions have a favorable and statistically significant relationship with employees’ commitment to the organization. These two factors were also found to positively affect job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction emerged as a critical determinant that reinforces organizational commitment. The analysis further supports the mediating role of job satisfaction, demonstrating that the influence of training and self-efficacy on organizational commitment is also conveyed indirectly through improved job satisfaction levels. The findings of this study highlight the importance of investing in employee development through effective training programs and boosting self-efficacy to enhance job satisfaction.

Education plays a vital role in improving human resource quality, making it essential for addressing challenges in developing countries, such as inequality, poverty, and cultural instability. Teachers, as key facilitators in the learning process, are central to achieving educational goals, with performance influenced by internal factors like self-efficacy and external factors like organizational climate and leadership style. This study examines the influence of organizational climate and transformational leadership on teacher performance at SMK 3 Sukawati, with self-efficacy as a mediating variable. The population and sample include all 55 teachers, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using path analysis. Results show that organizational climate and transformational leadership positively and significantly affect both teacher performance and self-efficacy. Self-efficacy also positively and significantly influences performance. Additionally, organizational climate and transformational leadership indirectly impact teacher performance through self-efficacy.

This study aims to examine the influence of self-efficacy and learning environment on learning outcomes, with learning motivation as a mediating variable, among students of SMK Negeri 44 Jakarta. Employing a quantitative approach with a survey method, the research involved a population of 175 students, all of whom were included as the sample through a total sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The analytical procedures encompassed measurement model analysis, structural model analysis, and hypothesis testing for both direct and indirect effects.The findings reveal a positive and significant direct effect of self-efficacy on learning outcomes, indicating that students with higher confidence in their abilities tend to achieve better academic performance. Similarly, the learning environment was found to have a positive and significant direct effect on learning outcomes, suggesting that supportive academic surroundings contribute meaningfully to student achievement. However, the study found no significant direct effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes, nor any significant mediating role of learning motivation in the relationships between self-efficacy and learning outcomes or between learning environment and learning outcomes. These results imply that while self-efficacy and a conducive learning environment are key determinants of academic success, the role of learning motivation as an intervening variable may not be as substantial in this context. The absence of mediation suggests that motivation alone may not bridge the gap between personal and environmental factors and actual academic performance. This study contributes to educational research by providing empirical evidence on the complex interplay between psychological, environmental, and motivational factors influencing student achievement, highlighting the need for educators to strengthen both self-belief and learning conditions to optimize outcomes.
