The family is the primary and primary environment that plays a crucial role in shaping a child's personality, emotional development, and psychological stability. Through the family, children receive love, a sense of security, and values that form the basis for developing their identity. However, broken homes can disrupt a child's emotional balance and lead to childhood trauma that impacts them into adolescence. This study aims to understand the experiences of adolescents from broken homes in coping with childhood trauma and the process of building resilience. The method used was a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The study subjects consisted of three adolescents aged 20–23 who experienced broken families since childhood. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that childhood trauma emerged in the form of emotional, relational, physical, and existential trauma due to the loss of parental figures, conflict, emotional neglect, and verbal abuse. The impacts felt include low self-confidence, anxiety, mild depression, and difficulty relating to social relationships. Social support from extended family, friends, and the community has been shown to aid the recovery process and increase resilience. This study emphasizes the important role of parents, educators, and counselors in providing emotional support and a safe environment for adolescents from broken homes.

Adolescence is a transitional period marked by rapid physical, psychological, and social changes. During this time, hormonal growth occurs as a sign of puberty and the activation of reproductive organs, one of which is breast development. However, these changes can sometimes lead to breast abnormalities such as lumps, pain, or changes in shape that may indicate early signs of health problems. One of the most effective early detection efforts for breast abnormalities is Breast Self-Examination (BSE). This examination is important to be done regularly so that each individual, especially adolescent girls, can recognize the condition of their breasts early on. Unfortunately, many adolescent girls still do not know what BSE is or how to perform it correctly. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and breast self-examination (BSE) behavior among female students at SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya, Aceh Besar District. This research was a quantitative study using an analytic cross-sectional design. Data collection was carried out on May 27, 2025, with a population of 30 female students from grades X and XI, selected using accidental sampling techniques. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test showed that there was no relationship between knowledge level and BSE behavior, with a p-value of 0.384 (p > 0.05). It is expected that parents and schools can improve adolescent girls’ knowledge about BSE as an effort for prevention and early detection of possible breast abnormalities.

This community service program aims to enhance the creativity and economic independence of mosque youth through the implementation of the Business Challenge Program in Lingkungan VI, Tanah Enam Ratus Village, Medan Marelan District. The program was initiated in response to the limited entrepreneurial knowledge and skills among mosque youth, which hindered their ability to develop productive business initiatives. The implementation involved several stages: field observation, interviews, workshops, mentoring sessions, halal product-making practices, and marketing simulations. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ ability to design business models using the Business Model Canvas, produce halal products (such as fried tofu “tahu walik” and “es kuwut”), and market them directly to the community. Moreover, the program instilled Islamic business values, including honesty (ṣidq), trustworthiness (amānah), and diligence (ijtihād), as the foundation for ethical entrepreneurship. Overall, the Business Challenge Program effectively fostered creativity and self-reliance among mosque youth while strengthening the role of mosques as centers for community empowerment.

Nutritional problems among adolescent girls remain relatively high and can affect reproductive health, particularly before entering marriage. One of the factors suspected to be associated with nutritional status is the frequency of visits to adolescent health posts (Posyandu Remaja). This study aimed to determine the relationship between the frequency of visits to adolescent health posts and the nutritional status of adolescent girls in the working area of Dinoyo Public Health Center. The research design employed was correlational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 80 adolescent girls registered at adolescent health posts in the Dinoyo Public Health Center area, selected using total sampling technique. Data were collected using observation sheets and analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the frequency of visits to adolescent health posts and the nutritional status of adolescent girls (r = -0.083, p = 0.462). The Mosque Youth Organization (REMAS) plays an important and strategic role as an agent of social and religious change among the younger generation. This study aims to improve the governance of the Mosque Youth Organization in Blitar City to be more professional and Islamic through the synergy of public administration and Islamic values. The main problems faced include a lack of coordination with the mosque administrators, a lack of effective leadership, and low community participation, which are influenced by internal factors such as the busyness of members and external factors such as limited funds and facilities. The method used is a participatory approach through needs analysis with 20 REMAS and mosque administrators, followed by training on professional Islamic governance, management skills, and evaluation assistance for its implementation. The training was held at the Al Mugi Barokah Mosque in Blitar City in September 2025, in collaboration with the Indonesian Mosque Youth Communication Agency (BKPRMI) as a stakeholder. The results of the community service showed significant improvements, namely the formation of a clear organizational structure, community-based work programs such as skills training and innovative social activities, and effective coordination with mosque administrators through regular forums to increase community participation. This approach integrates good governance principles such as transparency, accountability, and documentation using Trello or Google Sheets with Islamic values such as deliberation, trustworthiness, benevolence, and the example set by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. These activities contribute to sustainable social transformation among mosque youth, strengthening their role as agents of socio-religious change, although challenges such as limited resources, internal conflicts, and slow technological adaptation still need to be addressed through regular monitoring and further technological integration.

Background: Anemia is one of the public health problems commonly found among adolescent girls, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. This condition affects concentration, academic performance, and productivity, making early detection an essential step to prevent long-term complications. Objective: This study aims to determine the results of early detection of anemia based on clinical symptoms and hemoglobin (Hb) levels among adolescent girls at SMPN 18 Palembang. Methods: This research used a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 132 seventh-grade female students were selected randomly. Data were collected through an anemia symptom questionnaire and hemoglobin level measurement using a hemoglobinometer. Results: The study found that 23.5% of respondents were anemic (Hb < 12 g/dL), and 48.5% showed symptoms of anemia. However, the sensitivity of symptoms in detecting anemia was only 39%, specificity was 19%, with a positive predictive value (PPV) of 60.93% and a negative predictive value (NPV) of 8.82%. Conclusion: Based on the findings, symptom-based detection alone is not sufficiently accurate to diagnose anemia. Hemoglobin level examination is still required as a more valid and objective screening method for the early detection of anemia in adolescent girls In addition to medical intervention, the study advocates for increased awareness and education about anemia, its causes, and prevention methods among students, parents, and educators. Addressing nutritional deficiencies, especially iron intake, through dietary improvements and supplementation is essential in combating anemia in adolescent girls.

This study aims to reveal the representation of adolescents’ emotional crisis in the music video 0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) by the South Korean boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Using Roland Barthes’ semiotic approach, the research analyzes the denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings of the visual elements presented in the music video. The main focus is on how emotional crises such as loneliness, instability, alienation, and inner escape are represented through visual symbols such as a dark and messy room, a burning car, and a character standing alone in an open field. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a critical paradigm, analyzing eight key scenes in the music video that most strongly depict emotional struggles. The scenes were selected based on their symbolic intensity and relevance to adolescent psychological issues. Data analysis was conducted by interpreting visual signs through Barthes’ concepts of denotation, connotation, and myth. The findings reveal that the music video symbolically narrates the psychological struggles of adolescents who are not only physically isolated but also emotionally detached. The visual symbols construct new meanings that represent the social reality of modern youth, burdened by environmental pressures, societal expectations, and the quest for self-identity. Through the myths it creates, the music video functions not only as a medium of entertainment but also as a reflection and critique of adolescents’ psychological vulnerability. Thus, this study contributes to the understanding of emotional representation in popular media, particularly in audio-visual forms such as music videos, while enriching perspectives on how media constructs the narrative of adolescent emotional crises.

Personal hygiene during menstruation is a crucial aspect in maintaining the reproductive health of adolescent girls. Failure to adhere to personal hygiene practices during menstruation can potentially lead to various health problems, such as reproductive tract infections, pruritus vulvae, and vaginal discharge. Parents play a crucial role in shaping healthy behaviors in adolescent girls by providing education regarding the reproductive process and how to properly care for their genitals. Parents' roles in this context are considered effective if they actively provide reproductive health education, establish open communication, and model healthy behaviors. This education includes providing accurate information about reproductive organ function, techniques for cleaning genitalia during menstruation, and discussing health issues related to menstruation. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental role and menstrual personal hygiene practices among adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 1 Sambirejo, Sragen. The study used a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational design and a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 81 respondents, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires on parental roles and menstrual personal hygiene practices. The results showed that 53 respondents (65.4%) had parents with good roles, and 62 respondents (76.5%) had good menstrual personal hygiene practices. Data analysis using the Spearman Rank test resulted in a p value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, there is a significant relationship between parental roles and menstrual personal hygiene practices in adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 1 Sambirejo. This finding underscores the importance of parents' role in supporting proper menstrual hygiene practices through providing accurate information, open communication, and examples of healthy behavior, thus contributing to the prevention of reproductive health disorders among adolescents.
