This study aims to analyze teachers' teaching strategies in improving the quality of science learning for upper grade students (IV, V, and VI) at the SD Inpres Perumnas II Makassar. The results show that teachers implement various strategies including selecting approaches that suit students' needs, using a variety of learning methods, actively involving students in learning activities, utilizing media that support conceptual understanding, and implementing continuous evaluation to assess learning success. All of these strategies complement each other and help create more engaging, understandable, and relevant science learning for students. Research findings also revealed that the choice of teaching strategy is influenced by several important factors: student characteristics, the characteristics of the science material being taught, the availability of learning media and facilities, the learning environment, and the desired learning objectives. These five factors serve as the basis for teachers to determine the most appropriate strategy, ensuring a more effective, focused learning process that enhances students' understanding of the material. Furthermore, this study identified several challenges teachers face in implementing science teaching strategies, such as diverse student abilities, time constraints, a lack of supporting media and facilities, sub-conducive classroom conditions, and uneven student motivation. These challenges require teachers to be creative and adapt strategies to ensure learning objectives are achieved and the quality of science instruction continues to improve.

Technology-based learning media have now become a primary choice in supporting the learning process in elementary schools, in line with the development of the digital era and the growing demand for more innovative learning approaches. The utilization of technology in education is expected to enhance the quality of teaching and learning processes and encourage active student engagement. One technology-based learning medium considered effective and engaging is BrainPOP, a digital learning platform that presents educational content through interactive animated videos, quizzes, simulations, and various supporting activities designed to suit the characteristics of elementary school students. The selection of BrainPOP is based on its advantages in increasing students’ learning interest, facilitating the understanding of abstract concepts by making them more concrete, and enhancing students’ motivation and retention of learning materials. The visual, communicative, and interactive presentation of content enables students to learn in a more enjoyable and less monotonous manner. This medium is capable of creating an engaging, effective, and student-centered learning atmosphere, thereby fostering an active, creative, and enjoyable learning environment. Therefore, the use of BrainPOP in the learning process is expected not only to improve students’ learning outcomes but also to optimally and sustainably develop their interest, motivation, and engagement in learning.

This study was based on the low ability of third-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Wonorejo to understand syntactic material, particularly the use of conjunctions, due to a lack of interactive and contextual learning media. This study aimed to develop EKUJARSI E-Flipbook learning media based on Kudus local wisdom that has been tested for feasibility and practicality to improve student understanding. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The test subjects included subject matter experts, media experts, classroom teachers, and third-grade students. Data collection instruments used validation sheets and user response questionnaires. The results showed that the EKUJARSI media was highly valid for use, as evidenced by a validation percentage of 89.6% from media experts and 86.15% from subject matter experts. The practicality test also showed positive responses, with teachers giving a score of 80% and students giving a score of 85.9%, which is considered very feasible. Specific findings show that the ease of use aspect received a perfect score of 100% from students, indicating that this media is very user-friendly. It is concluded that the EKUJARSI E-Flipbook is feasible and practical to be implemented as an innovative learning media that effectively integrates local cuisine to facilitate understanding of language concepts.

Learning the Qur'an in Islamic Elementary Schools requires an approach that emphasizes not only reading skills but also understanding the meaning and internalizing the Qur'anic values ​​contextually. However, learning practices that are still dominated by conventional methods have the potential to reduce student engagement and interest in learning, especially in narrative materials such as animal stories in the Qur'an. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Qur'anic Magic Cards media as a learning medium for animals in the Qur'an in increasing the understanding and interest in learning of students in Islamic Elementary Schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the use of the Qur'anic Magic Cards media can help students understand the meaning of verses more concretely, increase active involvement during learning, and foster interest in learning the Qur'anic material. This media also contributes to creating a fun, contextual, and meaningful learning atmosphere, so that the messages of the Qur'an are not only understood textually but also internalized in the learning process. Thus, the Magic Quran Cards can be used as an innovative and relevant alternative Quranic learning medium for implementation in Islamic Elementary Schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah).

The use of technology in elementary school learning plays a crucial role in improving the quality of the educational process. One frequently used tool is the infocus (LCD projector), which serves to present learning materials in visual and audiovisual forms. The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of using infocus-based learning media in elementary schools and its impact on student learning. The method used was a qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the use of infocus can improve students' concentration, motivation, and understanding of the subject matter, as the presentation becomes more engaging and easier to understand. However, the use of infocus in elementary schools still faces various challenges, such as limited facilities and infrastructure, teacher readiness to operate the equipment, and technical problems such as power problems and additional devices. Therefore, supporting facilities and improving teacher skills are needed to ensure the effective and sustainable use of infocus as a learning medium.

Dyscalculia is a difficulty in learning mathematics that is commonly experienced by elementary school students, especially in multiplication materials. Students with dyscalculia experience obstacles in understanding the concept of numbers and calculation operations, which has an impact on low learning outcomes and students' confidence in mathematics learning. This study aims to describe the difficulties of learning multiplication in dyscalculia students in grade III of MI Nurul Falah 3, as well as identify learning efforts that can help overcome these difficulties. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design on two students who were identified as having dyscalculia. Data collection techniques include observation, diagnostic assessment, interviews with students and teachers, and analysis of learning outcomes. The results showed that students had difficulty recognizing number symbols, often flipped numbers, and were not able to complete simple multiplication independently. Concrete learning using the "Multiplication Smart Wallet" media has been proven to help students understand the concept of multiplication, increase learning motivation, and reduce anxiety about mathematics. Thus, the use of concrete media is considered effective in supporting more inclusive mathematics learning for dyscalculia students.

The development of digital technology and the demands of 21st-century learning require teachers to implement meaningful and student-centered learning through an immersive learning approach. However, many elementary school teachers still face limitations in understanding the concept of immersive learning and utilizing technology-based learning media, especially three-dimensional (3D) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based media. Therefore, this Field Study activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers and students in implementing immersive learning through the use of 3D-based learning media and AI technology at the UPTD of SD Negeri 155684 Lubuk Tukko 1, Pandan District. The activity was implemented through a four-day workshop involving teachers and students, using an approach of socialization, demonstrations, hands-on practice, discussion, and reflection. The workshop materials covered the concept of immersive learning, the use of 3D-based learning media, gamification of learning through 3D Media applications, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in developing teaching materials and learning media. Evaluation of the activity was conducted through pre- and post-tests, participant observation, and analysis of the resulting learning products. .The results of the activity showed an increase in teachers' understanding and skills in designing and implementing technology-based immersive learning. Teachers were able to produce interactive learning media, teaching modules, and evaluation questions using 3D media, 3D media, and AI. Furthermore, this activity also increased teachers' motivation, creativity, and awareness of the importance of digital literacy in learning. This Field Study activity made a positive contribution to improving teacher competency and supporting the creation of more innovative, interactive, and relevant learning that reflects the characteristics of 21st-century learners.

Social Studies instruction at the elementary school level plays a strategic role in instilling civic values in students, thereby preparing them to behave as good citizens within the social environment. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method conducted in Grade IV at SDN Kebumen 02 using the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The findings indicate that the Senada song–based learning media developed using Articulate Storyline 3, which contains material on the diversity of ethnic groups and nations in Indonesia, was designed in accordance with instructional needs, received a “very feasible” rating from both content and media experts, and was proven effective as a supporting medium for Social Studies learning in improving the learning outcomes of Grade IV students, as evidenced by the results of paired t-tests and N-Gain analyses conducted in both small and large groups. This media has also proven effective in improving student learning outcomes, as tested using paired t-tests and N-Gain tests in small and large groups. These results indicate that song-based media can improve student motivation and learning outcomes in social studies.

The development of thematic teaching materials at the elementary school level requires a deep understanding of students’ learning needs to ensure that the presented material is relevant, contextual, and capable of improving learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the learning needs of elementary school students as a basis for developing effective thematic teaching materials. Literature related to learning needs, teaching material design, integrated thematic approaches, and the characteristics of students’ cognitive development were analyzed comprehensively. The results of the study indicate that students’ learning needs include contextual material, concrete visualizations, collaborative activities, and varied learning media. Challenges include limitations of teachers in conducting needs analysis, suboptimal utilization of technology, and the suitability of material to the local context. This article provides strategic recommendations for designing student-needs-based thematic teaching materials that are adaptive, engaging, and competency-oriented.

This study investigates the implementation of the PAIKEM Gembrot model to enhance the literacy, numeracy, and creativity of fifth-grade students at UPT SDN Unjuruiya No. 45 in the Selayar Islands. Using a two-cycle classroom action research design—comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection—data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation to obtain comprehensive information on both learning processes and outcomes. In Cycle I, only 40% of students met the mastery criteria, largely due to their initial adjustment to the new learning approach and limited engagement in collaborative activities. After refining instructional strategies in Cycle II, including the use of more varied learning activities, concrete and contextual learning media, structured group discussions, and closer teacher guidance, student learning outcomes improved dramatically, with 100% of students achieving mastery. In addition, students showed increased participation, confidence, and motivation during classroom interactions. These results demonstrate that PAIKEM Gembrot effectively strengthens students’ abilities to comprehend information, apply numerical reasoning, and express creativity through active and meaningful learning experiences. Therefore, the PAIKEM Gembrot model serves as a promising and contextually relevant alternative for improving elementary science learning, particularly in island-based schools with limited educational resources.

The advancement of digital technology has transformed classroom learning practices. Digital learning materials provide an innovative approach to fostering more engaging and interactive learning environments. Student activeness and participation are key indicators of effective learning; however, traditional instructional methods are still widely used in elementary schools, often limiting student engagement. This study examines the relationship between the use of digital learning materials and student activeness and participation at SD Binekas using a quantitative descriptive correlational approach. Upper-grade elementary students were selected as research participants. Data were collected through structured observations, student participation instruments, and documentation, and analyzed using statistical techniques. The results demonstrate that digital learning materials have a positive and significant effect on student activeness and participation. Students showed higher levels of attention, interaction, and involvement during classroom activities. These findings highlight the potential of digital learning materials to support active and participatory learning in elementary education.

Literacy skills in elementary schools play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic development and overall learning success. However, observations conducted at SDN 2 Demulih revealed that many students still experience difficulties in comprehending reading materials and retelling stories coherently and systematically. This study aims to enhance students’ literacy and language skills through the implementation of the retelling technique as an instructional strategy. A descriptive research approach employing the ADDIE development model was applied, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The program involved 21 students from grades IV–VI and utilized two audiovisual story media, namely “Independence” and “Bawang dan Kesuna.” The results indicate that the application of the retelling technique based on audiovisual media effectively improved students’ reading comprehension, learning activeness, and self-confidence in speaking activities. Students were able to reconstruct storylines accurately and express moral messages using their own words. Therefore, the retelling technique is proven to be an engaging, practical, and effective literacy learning strategy for elementary school students.

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has provided new opportunities to enhance the quality of learning, particularly in elementary science education. One form of AI utilization is chatbots, which function as interactive learning media capable of encouraging students’ active participation. In science learning, questioning behavior is an important indicator of students’ cognitive engagement; however, many elementary school students tend to be passive in asking questions. This study aimed to examine the effect of using AI chatbots in science learning on students’ questioning behavior in Grade V of SDN Plalangan 03 Gunungpati, Semarang City. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed to identify changes in students’ questioning behavior before and after the implementation of AI chatbots in science learning. The results indicated that the use of AI chatbots improved students’ questioning behavior in terms of frequency, confidence, and activeness in asking questions. AI chatbots provided a comfortable and flexible interaction space for students, which helped reduce psychological barriers in questioning. It can be concluded that the use of AI chatbots has a positive effect on students’ questioning behavior in elementary school science learning.

This study aims to describe the application of deep learning based tolerance values with a pedagogical approach in supporting classroom management in grade VI of SDN Beji 01 East Ungaran. The deep learning approach is understood as a pedagogical strategy that emphasizes the cognitive, affective, and social engagement of students through meaningful learning experiences. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects include grade VI teachers, principals, and students with diverse social and cultural backgrounds. The results of the study show that the application of tolerance values through deep learning strategies is able to create an inclusive, safe, and conducive classroom climate. The implementation is reflected through the practice of random seating arrangements, a culture of sharing learning media, deliberation in conflict resolution, fair study timing, and strengthening mutual respect between students. These findings confirm that the integration of deep learning-based tolerance values contributes significantly to the effectiveness of classroom management and the strengthening of the social character of elementary school students.

This study aims to develop an interactive digital learning media based on Wordwall, named TANGKAS (Tantangan Asyik Ngulik Pecahan Kelas Empat Seru), as a practice tool for addition and subtraction of fractions in fourth-grade elementary students. The development process employed the ADDIE model, which includes the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate stages. The research subjects consisted of 29 fourth-grade students at SDN Ngemplak I Baureno. The needs analysis revealed that learning activities were still dominated by conventional methods with limited use of digital media, resulting in low student engagement. To address this issue, TANGKAS was developed using a maze chase game design to enhance motivation and support engaging fraction practice. The validation results indicated a material validity score of 94% (highly valid) and a media validity score of 80% (valid). The practicality aspect obtained 81.8% from students, both categorized as highly practical. The effectiveness test showed an improvement in learning outcomes with N-Gain scores of 0.6 for fraction addition and 0.54 for fraction subtraction, both classified as moderate. Therefore, TANGKAS is proven to be feasible, practical, and effective as an interactive game-based learning media to support students’ understanding of mathematics in elementary school.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in third-grade students at Al-Munawarah Elementary School, Sentani, Jayapura Regency. Using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, this study evaluated three main aspects: planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. The results showed that during the planning stage, teachers developed teaching modules that referred to Learning Outcomes (CP) and prepared assessment instruments in the form of projects and prompt questions. During the implementation stage, teachers implemented an inquiry-based learning model to encourage student engagement and utilized various media, from printed books to digital devices, which positively impacted student engagement in class. During the evaluation stage, teachers used cultural project assessments and Student Worksheets (LKPD), accompanied by positive feedback to motivate students. Although implementation generally proceeded according to the curriculum framework, obstacles were still encountered in the application of differentiated learning because teachers tended to use lecture methods and generalize the abilities of all students. Therefore, continuous improvement is needed so that learning planning can be more aligned with the characteristics and individual needs of each student.

This research is motivated by the low level of discipline among elementary school students, characterized by non-compliance with rules, tardiness, and other negative behaviors, thus requiring the role of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) as a strategic solution. This research aims to examine the role of PPKn learning in shaping the discipline of elementary school students through a library research approach. This research method uses a systematic and comprehensive library research method to assess the contribution of PPKn learning in forming the discipline of elementary school students (SD). The main focus is on national scientific sources in Indonesian and English languages from the period 2020-2025, with the aim of identifying patterns and strategies of PPKn learning towards improving student discipline in SD. The study results show that PPKn learning is effective in internalizing discipline values through habituation, teacher exemplification, continuous evaluation, and the use of innovative learning media such as educational videos. The involvement of teachers, schools, and parents is an important factor in supporting the formation of student discipline character, with strategies such as family collaboration and group supervision to overcome external challenges. This research provides a theoretical contribution as a basis for developing applicable PPKn learning strategies to form a disciplined generation in elementary schools. The implications of this study indicate that PPKn learning has a strategic role in shaping the discipline of elementary school students, thus requiring synergy between teachers, schools, and parents to optimize the internalization of character values in every learning activity.

The purpose of this study is to develop teaching materials in the form of interactive textbooks on the subject of Rukun Iman (the Five Pillars of Islam) for MIS NU students in Palangkaraya City. The motive for this study is the need for more contextual and relevant teaching resources on Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic beliefs and morals) in order to optimize students' understanding. The ADDIE development model, which includes the phases of needs analysis, product design, development, implementation, and evaluation, was used in this study. Validation was carried out by subject matter experts, design experts, and educators as practitioners to ensure the suitability of the product. Based on the validation results, subject matter experts and designers consistently rated the teaching materials as “very feasible” in terms of media functionality, visual appeal, and material completeness. Improved learning outcomes through pre- and post-tests, as well as a feasibility rate of 93.02%, were demonstrated during implementation in a field test with 30 second-grade students. Moderate to significant learning gains were shown by N-Gain analysis. The findings prove the effectiveness of interactive learning books in improving students' understanding of the Five Pillars of Islam and providing alternative teaching resources that are more interesting and easier to understand. It is hoped that this publication will serve as a guide for educators in Islamic elementary schools to maximize the teaching of Aqidah Akhlak.

The purpose of this study is to examine the Influence of Using Kahoot as an Interactive Learning Media to Increase the Learning Interest of Sixth-Grade Students in Civic Education at SD YPK Bethania Mariadei. This type of research is Experimental research. The population in this study consists of students at SD Bethania Mariadei, while the research sample is 21 students in the sixth grade. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and documentation. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics techniques. Based on the hypothesis testing results, the calculated t-value is 2.926 with a significance of 0.009. The significance value shows 0.009 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which leads to the conclusion that there is a significant and positive effect of using Kahoot media as an interactive learning tool to increase the learning interest of sixth-grade students in Civics subjects at SD YPK Bethania Mariadei. The Kahoot Interactive Learning Media can be applied for Civics learning in elementary schools. Keywords: Kahoot, Learning Media, Learning Interest, Civics.

The socialization activity on personal and environmental hygiene at SDN 19 Sungai Kakap was conducted to improve students’ knowledge, attitudes, and awareness regarding the importance of maintaining personal cleanliness and a healthy school environment. This activity addressed the common issue of limited understanding and practice of hygiene among elementary school students, which can affect health and learning outcomes. The methods used included interactive counseling sessions, practical demonstrations of proper hygiene practices such as handwashing and waste disposal, and the use of visual educational media to increase student engagement and comprehension. The effectiveness of the activity was measured using pre-test and post-test evaluations. The results showed a 75% increase in students’ knowledge levels after the intervention, accompanied by observable positive behavioral changes related to cleanliness both at school and at home. Students demonstrated improved habits in maintaining personal hygiene and participating in keeping their environment clean. Despite challenges such as limited time allocation and inadequate cleaning facilities, the activity successfully fostered sustainable awareness and encouraged the formation of healthy habits. Therefore, it is recommended that similar socialization activities be conducted regularly using varied educational methods and supported by adequate hygiene facilities to strengthen long-term behavioral change.
