This study aims to analyze the proportion and distribution of the Community Empowerment budget in the APBKal of Kalurahan Sitimulyo for the 2026 fiscal year and evaluate its alignment with inclusive development principles. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using APBKal documents, supported by limited interviews and observations. The results show that the allocation for community empowerment accounts for only 4.63% of total village expenditure, with an uneven distribution dominated by agriculture, livestock, and industrial sectors. Meanwhile, areas related to inclusivity, such as women’s empowerment, child protection, and MSMEs, receive relatively small portions. This indicates that budgeting remains oriented toward production-based economic sectors, and the principles of equity and inclusiveness have not been proportionally reflected. Although it refers to SDGs Desa and gender mainstreaming principles, their implementation still requires strengthening.

World Health Organization (WHO) reports that immunization is able to prevent approximately 3–5 million deaths each year; however, a number of children still do not receive optimal immunization coverage due to insufficient parental knowledge. This study aimed to analyze the effect of health education on improving mothers’ knowledge regarding early childhood immunization in RW 04, Kertamaya Subdistrict, Bogor City, in 2026. This study employed a pre- experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach involving 30 respondents. Knowledge levels were measured using a questionnaire before and after the health education intervention and analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test. The results indicated a statistically significant difference in mothers’knowledge levels before and after the health education intervention (p = 0.029). In addition, the proportion of respondents with good knowledge increased from 76.7% in the pre-test to 93.3% in the post-test. These findings demonstrate that health education has a significant effect on improving mothers’ knowledge and can serve as an effective promotive intervention to support the success of community-level immunization programs.

The difference in the determination of when a divorce takes effect between Islamic law and statutory law raises issues in the judicial practice of the Sharia Court. In a number of cases, judges have issued a single bain sughra divorce even though, according to Sharia law, the husband has already issued three divorces. This raises issues regarding the validity of reconciliation and its legal implications for the status of the children. This study aims to analyze the differences in the concept of divorce, the reasons for the judges’ decisions, the validity of reconciliation, and the legal consequences for children in both legal systems. This study employs a mixed-methods approach (normative and empirical) using legislative, conceptual, and comparative frameworks. The analysis is conducted through comparative theory, legal certainty, maqāṣid al-syarī’ah, and child protection. The results indicate a fundamental difference between substantive validity in Islamic law and formal validity in positive law. The Sharia Court’s ruling on a single bain sughra divorce is based on procedural caution, yet it creates a dualism regarding the validity of reconciliation and the potential for legal uncertainty. Regarding children, positive law provides full recognition, while Islamic law continues to emphasize the caution regarding lineage but is oriented toward protecting the best interests of the child. This study offers an integrative approach by recognizing out-of-court divorce as a substantive legal fact to bridge legal certainty and justice.

This study aims to analyze the factors causing children to become involved in narcotics abuse, the judges’ considerations in delivering verdicts, and the conformity of such decisions with applicable legal provisions. This research employs a normative juridical method with a descriptive-analytical approach, based on literature review and analysis of Decision Number 3/Pid.Sus-Anak/2021/PN Bnt. The results indicate that children’s involvement in narcotics-related crimes is influenced by multidimensional factors, namely economic, environmental, and legal factors. Economic factors include family financial pressure; environmental factors involve peer influence and lack of parental supervision; while legal factors relate to limited understanding of legal consequences. Judges’ considerations in rendering decisions are not only based on juridical aspects but also take into account the social and psychological conditions of the child. However, the imposition of imprisonment is considered not fully aligned with the principles of restorative justice and child protection. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the implementation of diversion and non-penal approaches in the juvenile justice system.

Stunting remains a significant nutritional issue because it can impact a child's long-term growth and development. A history of low birth weight (LBW) is suspected to play a role, reflecting the condition of fetal growth during pregnancy. This study aimed to determine the relationship between a history of LBW and the incidence of stunting in children aged 2–5 years at the Bandarharjo Community Health Center in Semarang in 2025. This study used an analytical design with a case-control approach. The study sample consisted of 203 toddlers selected using consecutive sampling. Data were obtained from the KIA book and height measurements based on WHO standards. Analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test and Odds Ratio (OR) calculation. The proportion of LBW was 10.8% and stunting was 31.0%. There was a significant relationship between a history of LBW and the incidence of stunting (p = 0.012). Toddlers with a history of LBW had approximately a threefold greater risk of experiencing stunting compared to toddlers born with normal weight (OR = 3.059). There is a relationship between a history of low LBW and the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 2-5 years at the Bandarharjo Community Health Center, Semarang in 2025.

This study aims to examine the components of the Christian Religious Education (CRE) curriculum in the family, its design and development, and its concrete implementation. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design through library research, using data sources such as books, academic journals, and relevant articles. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques to produce a systematic and in-depth description. The findings show that the CRE curriculum in the family consists of interconnected components, namely objectives, content, strategies, methods, and evaluation, which must be implemented in an integrated manner. Faith education in the family is carried out through methods such as role modeling, habituation, teaching, discussion, mentoring, and practical application. Effective strategies include parental role modeling, dialogical communication, and love-based discipline. The implementation of the curriculum is realized through concrete activities such as family prayer, family worship, Bible reading, and the application of Christian values in daily life. In conclusion, the success of Christian Religious Education in the family largely depends on the active role and consistency of parents in implementing the curriculum in a holistic and continuous manner. With the right approach, the family can become an effective center of faith education in shaping children who are faithful, character-driven, and prepared to face life’s challenges.

This study analyzes signs and symbols in Katherine Mansfield’s short story “The Doll’s House” (1922) using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic approach. The study is descriptive qualitative in nature, employing data collection techniques such as close reading and note-taking. The analysis was conducted by classifying signs based on Peirce’s theory, icons, index, and symbols, through the triadic model (representamen, object, interpretant). The results of the analysis indicate that the doll’s house functions as both an icon and a symbol of social status and the false luxury of the upper class. Elements such as the smell of paint and the appearance of the Kelvey sisters serve as indices of social inequality. Meanwhile, the small lamp is the strongest symbol representing hope, warmth, and the possibility of transcending social class boundaries. Through this short story, Mansfield critiques class prejudices learned from childhood while conveying a message of empathy across social classes.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instructors at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) Nurhidayatullah perceive incentive strategies as boosting student learning motivation. The poor learning motivation of students at non-formal Islamic educational institutions serves as the study's backdrop. Teachers must use a variety of tactics, including rewarding students. In this study, descriptive approaches are combined with a qualitative approach. Participant observation, documentation studies, and in-depth interviews were used to gather data. Purposive sampling was used to choose five PAI instructors from MDT Nurhidayatullah to serve as study informants. The Miles and Huberman approach, which covers data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions/verification, was used to analyze the data. The study's conclusions showed that instructors see incentive systems favorably and believe they are a useful tactic for boosting students' interest in and engagement with PAI learning. Verbal compliments, award stickers, extra credits, little presents, and public acknowledgment in front of the class are some of the prizes that are offered. Teachers believe that rewarding children may boost their intrinsic motivation, boost their self-esteem, improve the classroom environment, and promote healthy competition among students. However, teachers also identify several challenges, including the potential for students to become dependent on rewards, the need for fairness in reward distribution, and budget limitations. The implication of this research suggests that the reward method should be implemented systematically with clear criteria and gradually directed toward building students' intrinsic motivation in learning Islamic religious education.

Parental conflict is a significant risk factor that threatens the psychological well-being of adolescents. This study aims to review the relationship between parental conflict and anxiety levels in adolescents through a qualitative literature approach. Various research findings consistently show that high-frequency and high-intensity parental conflict contributes to increased anxiety, emotional insecurity, and maladaptive coping in adolescents. The mechanisms underlying this relationship include the emotional security theory, the cognitive-contextual framework, and the spillover hypothesis, each of which explains how conflict in the family system propagates psychologically to children. The results of this literature study confirm that adolescents who are regularly exposed to parental conflict show a significantly higher risk of developing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and related internalizing problems. The family environment, particularly the quality of the parental relationship, is the dominant proximal determinant of adolescent mental health. Furthermore, parental conflict has been shown to undermine parent-child attachment, destabilize family functioning, and trigger chronic stress responses in adolescents who are still developing emotional regulation capacities. In the Indonesian context, this problem is particularly urgent given the high prevalence of mental health disorders among adolescents aged 15–24 years. Therefore, integrated preventive interventions involving families, schools, and mental health professionals are urgently needed.

Religious tolerance is an essential value that should be introduced from an early age, especially in Indonesia as a multicultural country with diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Early childhood education (ECE) has an important role in fostering tolerant attitudes through meaningful learning experiences. One effective medium is local wisdom-based storybooks, which integrate cultural values and social norms into narratives accessible to children. This study aims to analyze religious tolerance values contained in local wisdom storybooks and their relevance to multicultural education in ECE. The research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis. Data sources include Indonesian folktales such as Bawang Merah dan Bawang Putih, Malin Kundang, Si Pitung, Lutung Kasarung, and Timun Mas. Data were collected through documentation and systematic reading, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that these storybooks contain values of respect for differences, empathy, solidarity, cooperation, and peaceful conflict resolution. These values support multicultural education in ECE through storytelling, discussions, role-playing, and culturally responsive learning activities. The study concludes that local wisdom storybooks are authentic and culturally relevant resources for developing children’s multicultural competence and religious tolerance from an early age.

Culture shock is a phenomenon commonly experienced by individuals who encounter unfamiliar cultural environments, including children. This phenomenon is represented in the picture book The Way We Do It in Japan through the experiences of Gregory, an Asian-American child who moves from America to Japan and faces cultural differences in daily life. This study aims to analyze the representation of cultural differences between Japan and America and to examine the stages of culture shock experienced by Gregory throughout the story. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method using textual and visual analysis of the picture book. The analysis applies Oberg’s (1960) concept of culture shock and Pedersen’s (1995) stages of culture shock, including the honeymoon, disintegration, reintegration, autonomy, and interdependence stages. The findings reveal that differences in language, social norms, daily habits, and school practices become the main triggers of Gregory’s culture shock. His experiences develop dynamically from curiosity and confusion to gradual adaptation and cultural acceptance. These experiences also contribute to Gregory’s emotional growth, adaptability, and ability to understand cultural differences more objectively. Therefore, this study highlights the important role of children’s literature in promoting intercultural understanding, empathy, and awareness of cultural diversity among young readers.

Immigrant children often face challenges in adjusting and adapting to new environments. This study analyses the adaptation process of the main character, Unhei, as an Asian American immigrant child in Yangsook Choi’s picture book The Name Jar. This study examines the challenges Unhei faces in The Name Jar as she attempts to adapt and maintain her identity in a new environment in America, including language barriers, cultural differences, and social interactions with peers. This study employs a qualitative method using text and illustration analysis based on the adaptation theory proposed by Lamme et al. (2004), which consists of three stages: making transitions, making connections, and becoming American. The findings show that Unhei experiences various challenges in adapting to her new environment, including language barriers, cultural differences, and difficulties in social interaction. Unhei undergoes three stages of adaptation; making transitions, making connections, and becoming American. In the making transitions stage, Unhei experiences confusion, insecurity, and difficulty adjusting to a new cultural and social environment. In the making connections stage, she maintains connections with her Korean identity through her family, language, traditional objects, and Korean food while gradually building relationships in her new environment. In the becoming American stage, Unhei begins to adapt to American society and develops confidence in accepting her Korean identity without abandoning her cultural background. Furthermore, Unhei’s experience reflects that adaptation does not always occur smoothly, but involves a process of self-negotiation in dealing with cultural differences. The adaptation process is dynamic and influenced by both internal and external factors, and positive social interactions can help accelerate successful adaptation in a new environment.

The Early Childhood Education (PAUD) curriculum plays an important role in shaping young children’s learning experiences. However, in practice, there are still several challenges, such as a lack of meaningful learning and the suboptimal integration of nationalism values. Therefore, curriculum innovation is needed to incorporate approaches that align with children’s characteristics. This study aims to analyze and develop the concept of transforming the PAUD curriculum based on a multisensory music approach as an effort to strengthen nationalism values in early childhood. The method used is a library research approach by reviewing various sources, including scientific journals, books, and relevant previous studies. The data analysis technique is conducted descriptively and qualitatively through processes of organizing, categorizing, and interpreting data. The results of the study indicate that a multisensory music-based approach can enhance children’s engagement, participation, and understanding in learning. The integration of audio, visual, and kinesthetic elements has proven effective in stimulating children’s motor, cognitive, and affective development. In addition, the use of audio-visual media helps children understand nationalism values in a more concrete and meaningful way.In conclusion, transforming the PAUD curriculum through a multisensory music-based approach is an effective strategy to create enjoyable and holistic learning experiences while strengthening the internalization of nationalism values from an early age.
