Tabuh Rah in Bali is part of a Hindu religious ceremony involving animal sacrifice to maintain harmony between nature and human life. In practice, it is often accompanied by tajen (cockfighting) involving monetary or valuable bets, potentially violating Article 303 of the Indonesian Criminal Code concerning gambling. This study examines the regulation of cockfighting as a criminal offense under Article 303 and the criminal liability of perpetrators of tajen within the context of the Tabuh Rah ceremony. The research employs a normative legal method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that cockfighting conducted as part of the Tabuh Rah ritual is permissible based on the Batur Agung Inscription (933 Saka) and the Batuan Inscription (944 Saka) without requiring official authorization. However, cockfighting conducted outside the ritual context and involving betting constitutes gambling in violation of the Criminal Code and Law No. 7 of 1974. Perpetrators may be held criminally liable for intentionally committing an unlawful act.

Copyright infringement in the music sector continues to be a significant issue in Indonesia, particularly when musical works are commercially used by business operators. Copyright law provides legal protection for creative works, including songs or music, by granting exclusive rights to control use and derive benefits from such creations. This research examines the legal analysis of copyright holders in compensation for royalty payments. The method used in this research is normative, supplemented by literature studies, including relevant regulations and previous research on song or music copyright. The research findings indicate that royalty payment is a legal obligation for every user of songs in commercial activities, and creators are entitled to such compensation. However, in the Mie Gacoan case in Bali, it is evident that the implementation of these provisions remains constrained due to weak legal understanding, supervision, and compliance, necessitating strengthened law enforcement and optimization of the role of collective management institutions.

Anemia in toddlers is a serious nutritional problem that impacts physical growth, cognitive development, and the child's immune system. This study aims to provide an overview of the level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices of parents in preventing anemia in toddlers. This quantitative study involved 50 respondents using a structured questionnaire instrument covering the domains of knowledge, attitudes, practices, and sources of health information. The results showed that respondents' knowledge was in the adequate category; although all respondents (100%) understood the negative impact of anemia on growth and intelligence, only 80% understood the technical definition and clinical symptoms accurately. In the attitude domain, respondents showed a very positive response (100%) to the importance of balanced nutrition and early prevention. Regarding the practical aspect, although regular visits to integrated health posts (Posyandu) reached 100%, the consistency of daily animal side dish intake remained at 80%. An interesting finding showed a shift in information sources, with social media (80%) dominating over direct exposure to information from health workers (40%). This study concluded that there is a gap between positive attitudes and consistent daily practices, and the need to optimize health education through digital media by medical personnel to reduce the incidence of anemia in toddlers.

Stunting is a chronic nutritional disorder characterized by a child’s height being below the age-standard growth curve. One contributing factor is the mother’s knowledge regarding proper complementary feeding (MP-ASI). This study aims to determine the correlation between maternal knowledge of complementary feeding and stunting among children under five at Posyandu in the Bangetayu Health Center working area, Semarang. This research employed an analytical observational design with a case-control approach. A total of 60 respondents were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 30 stunted and 30 non-stunted children. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The findings indicated that most mothers possessed good knowledge of complementary feeding (80%). Stunting prevalence among respondents was 41.7%. The Chi-Square test revealed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), demonstrating a significant relationship between maternal knowledge of complementary feeding and stunting. Mothers with poor knowledge were more likely to have stunted children compared to those with adequate understanding. These results highlight the crucial role of improving maternal nutrition knowledge to prevent stunting and support optimal child growth and development.

This study aims to analyze the effects of work motivation and career development on nurses’ performance through job satisfaction among nurses at Pertamina Balikpapan Hospital. Nurses’ performance is a key determinant of service quality and patient safety because nurses interact most intensively with patients and ensure continuity of nursing care. However, prior studies on the relationships among motivation, career development, job satisfaction, and performance have reported mixed findings. Therefore, further examination is needed by incorporating job satisfaction as a mediating variable to explain the mechanism of influence more comprehensively. This research employed an explanatory design with a quantitative approach. Primary data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 165 permanent nurses selected through purposive sampling from a population of 292 nurses. Data were analyzed using variance-based SEM with SmartPLS 4, including outer model evaluation (convergent and discriminant validity) and construct reliability, as well as inner model assessment through the coefficient of determination, effect size, and hypothesis testing using bootstrapping. The results indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and career development also has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on nurses’ performance. In addition, work motivation and career development have positive and significant direct effects on nurses’ performance. Indirect effect testing confirms that job satisfaction mediates the relationship between work motivation and nurses’ performance and also mediates the relationship between career development and nurses’ performance. These findings emphasize that hospitals should strengthen strategies to enhance motivation and career development in a targeted manner while ensuring key sources of job satisfaction so that nurses’ performance improves sustainably.

Malnutrition and stunting among children under five remain major public health challenges in developing countries, including Indonesia. These conditions are associated with increased morbidity, mortality, impaired cognitive development, and reduced productivity in adulthood. Stunting reflects chronic nutritional deficiencies, while severe malnutrition indicates acute or prolonged inadequate nutrient intake, often exacerbated by infections, poor caregiving practices, and unfavorable socioeconomic conditions. This case report aims to describe the clinical condition, contributing factors, management, and outcomes of a 14-month-old female toddler diagnosed with severe malnutrition and stunting without complications in Blang Dalam Geuteung Village, Nisam Subdistrict, North Aceh Regency. The assessment was conducted using a family medicine approach, incorporating detailed history taking, physical examination, anthropometric measurements, and nutritional status evaluation based on World Health Organization Z-score indicators. Interventions included nutritional rehabilitation through appropriate dietary intake, family education on balanced nutrition and proper feeding practices, routine growth monitoring, and optimization of primary healthcare services. The results showed gradual improvement in the child’s nutritional status, evidenced by weight gain, better appetite, and improved feeding patterns following the intervention. This case highlights the importance of early detection, comprehensive family-centered management, and continuous monitoring in addressing malnutrition and stunting at the primary care level. Strengthening community-based interventions, improving caregiver knowledge, and enhancing collaboration between healthcare providers and families are essential to reduce the burden of malnutrition and support optimal child growth and development.

Citra Jalatarangga is a karawitan composition that is contextually inspired by the duality of freshwater and seawater springs found at Geger Beach. The duality embodied in this idea serves as the fundamental concept and is subsequently implemented in the formulation and structuring of Balinese karawitan performance techniques. This paper discusses the process of creating the work, the formal structure of the composition, and the aesthetic values contained within it. The karawitan composition Citra Jalatarangga employs three theoretical frameworks as analytical tools to describe the duality of the different water sources. Transformation theory is used to determine the form and structure of the composition, creativity theory serves as a reference in the creative process, and postmodern aesthetic theory functions as a guideline for applying aesthetic nuances to the work. The creative method used in the creation of Citra Jalatarangga is the Panca Sthiti Ngawi Sani method, which consists of five stages: the inspiration stage (ngawirasa), the exploration stage (ngawacak), the conception stage (ngarencana), the execution stage (ngawangun), and the production stage (ngebah). This work utilizes several instruments from the Gamelan Semara Dana as its expressive medium and is structured into three sections, each representing the duality of the water sources through different formulations and performance techniques. In addition, instrument arrangement, costume design, and lighting design also function as supporting aspects in the presentation of the work, which was staged at Wantilan Banjar Sawangan, Desa Adat Peminge.

This study aims to examine the application of heart-centered communication based on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Theory in interactions between employees and guests at the Masainn Hotel, Kuta, Bali. NVC, developed by Marshall Rosenberg, stresses empathetic engagement built on four core components: observation, feelings, needs, and requests. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with guests and direct field observations of daily service interactions. The findings indicate that employees consistently apply empathy-driven communication by offering warm greetings, attentive service, and genuine emotional presence. These behaviors help create a family-like environment that makes guests feel comfortable and emotionally connected to the hotel. Notably, one guest reported returning to the hotel for three consecutive years, having been introduced by a friend who has been a loyal customer for nine years. This demonstrates that NVC-based communication contributes significantly to guest satisfaction, trust, and long-term loyalty. Furthermore, the study highlights the strategic role of emotional intelligence and compassionate communication in shaping service quality within the hospitality industry. By integrating NVC principles into daily service practices, hotels can foster stronger interpersonal relationships, enhance guest experiences, and build sustainable customer retention.

This study aims to identify and minimize waste in the process of procuring Food & Beverage raw materials at Hotel PXY Jasa Bali using the Lean Inventory Management approach. Observations over one month showed that the total procurement cost reached 47% of the total revenue, exceeding the ideal limit of 35%. One of the main causes is the inefficient and lack of synchronization between divisions in the Rhapsody platform, which causes waste in the form of defects, delays, over-processing, and transportation. This study uses the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method to map actual conditions and Process Activity Mapping (PAM) to identify the type of activity based on the waste category. In addition, root cause analysis is carried out using the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) approach. The mapping results showed that out of the total lead time of 598.44 minutes, only 278.49 minutes or 46.54% were value-added activities. This finding indicates that the procurement process is not yet efficient and needs optimization. Several recommendations were given to minimize waste, such as clearer division of tasks, improved communication with vendors, and the procurement of supporting facilities to reduce physical movement between divisions. The implementation of this lean service is expected to be able to increase the efficiency of the logistics process and reduce the company's overall operational costs.

Stunting is a phenomenon of growth impairment experienced by infants and young children under 5 years of age, particularly toddlers aged 0–59 months. Based on Global Prevalence Data, approximately 21.9% to 22% of toddlers worldwide experience stunting. Several factors that contribute to stunting include breastfeeding and complementary feeding (MP-ASI) practices. This study aims to explore the association between experiences of exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding (MP-ASI) and the incidence of stunting among children in the Kampa Community Health Center area. The method used in this study was a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted during the period of January 8–13, 2024, at the Kampa Community Health Center, involving toddlers aged 6–59 months, with a population of 1,576 toddlers. The sample consisted of 68 mothers who had stunted toddlers, measured using a height-for-age (H/A) Z-score of less than -2 standard deviations (SD). The sampling technique applied was total sampling. Data collection was carried out using a microtoise and questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square method. The findings showed a significant relationship between a history of exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting with a P value of 0.00 < 0.05, as well as a significant relationship between exclusive complementary feeding (MP-ASI) and the incidence of stunting in toddlers with a P value of 0.04 < 0.05. It is recommended that health workers organize counseling classes on lactation and conduct demonstrations on how to prepare complementary foods (MP-ASI), focusing on the use of affordable local food ingredients that are rich in animal protein. In addition, continuous training for community health cadres needs to be carried out to improve early detection through accurate anthropometric measurements, so that toddlers at risk of stunting can be promptly managed.

This study aims to explore Generation Z's adaptation to traditional values, particularly the Balinese language sor singgih in Catur Wangsa, amid social changes driven by globalization and technological advancements, from the perspective of interpersonal communication. The phenomenological approach in qualitative research is the research method used, with three data collection techniques: participant observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation. This study also uses source and technique triangulation as a data validity technique. The research informants are members of Generation Z from the five castes in Bali: Brahmana, Ksatria, Weisya, and Sudra. Research conducted across eight districts and cities in Bali indicates that Generation Z is beginning to shift its interpersonal communication patterns. Although they still uphold traditional values of politeness and social norms, Generation Z emphasizes equality and openness in their daily interactions. The generation Z that continues to use the Balinese language is segmented by social context, emotional closeness, and communication situations, rather than solely by caste differences. Furthermore, this study's findings show that the caste system is seen more as a cultural identity than a social boundary. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of preserving the values of Balinese local wisdom in the form of adaptive, egalitarian communication that is relevant to the development of the younger generation in the digital age.
