The lifestyle of Indonesian society, especially among Generation Z, has been influenced by globalization and foreign popular culture, specifically the Korean wave or hallyu. Awareness of halal certification and knowledge and literacy about halal food are important to study as they influence Generation Z's purchasing decisions regarding Korean food. This study uses a descriptive method, namely a qualitative approach, while the type of research used is literature research in the form of books, interpretations of the Qur'an, Hadith, and others related to the problem to be solved. Halal food is food and drink that is permissible for consumption according to Islam, i.e., free from haram ingredients such as pork, meat from animals that have not been slaughtered in accordance with Islamic law, and alcohol. To determine whether food is haram, there needs to be a guarantee, such as a halal certificate, which is an absolute step to ensure that a product complies with applicable standards. Korean food is cuisine that has grown and developed from the Korean environment and culture, which has a unique taste, starting from the names of the dishes, which are able to attract the interest of the public, especially Generation Z.

Pandemic-fueled global crises, geopolitical tensions, and supply chain halt have rendered a cry for resilient community-based economies. Traditional business models have proved to be weak, and context-sensitive and inclusive innovations are required. The purpose of this study is to investigate the ways in which community-based business model innovation contributes to economic resilience after crises through the identification of key features such as collective ownership, digital integration, diversification of distribution, community networks, and microfinance access. Convergent parallel mixed-method design was employed involving 300 community-based MSME respondents and 20 key informants. Surveys and interviews were employed to collect the primary data, while secondary data were obtained from national statistics, international organizations, and academic journals. By regression analysis, digital integration (β=0.352) and collective ownership (β=0.321) are significant factors in enhancing economic resilience, followed by diversification of distribution, social networking, and access to finance. The Resilience Capacity Score (RCS) further reveals that digitalization received the highest RCS, and microfinance access was lowest among the variables. Conceptually, this research takes the concept of community-based Business Model Innovation to the next level and practically recommends stronger digital infrastructure, available microfinance schemes, and capacity building at the community level.

This study examines the legal protection regarding the cancellation of unused trademarks through a case study of the Supreme Court Decision No. 264 K/Pdt.Sus-HKI/2015 between IKEA Systems BV and PT Ratania Khatulistiwa. Trademarks play a vital role in modern trade, functioning not only as product identities but also as guarantees of quality and reputation with significant economic value. Law No. 15 of 2001 stipulates that a trademark may be cancelled if it is not used for three consecutive years, aiming to prevent speculative practices and pseudo-monopolies. However, this provision raises issues when applied to well-known trademarks that require longer periods to penetrate domestic markets. Using a literature review approach, this research analyzes legal norms, doctrines, and court decisions, while comparing them with international practices. The findings reveal that Indonesian law prioritizes the use requirement principle over the global reputation of a trademark. The Supreme Court’s decision to cancel the IKEA trademark demonstrates Indonesia’s legal orientation towards domestic legal certainty, yet it also creates challenges in maintaining a conducive investment climate. Therefore, trademark regulations need to be reformed to become more adaptive to globalization dynamics while balancing the interests of trademark owners, local businesses, consumers, and the state.

. Sharia financial institutions in Indonesia have experienced significant growth in line with increasing public demand for financial systems that comply with sharia principles. This growth requires clear regulations and policies to create stability, legal certainty, and protection for customers. This article examines the dynamics of regulations governing Islamic financial institutions, from the initial role of Bank Indonesia (BI) to the establishment of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as the main supervisory and regulatory agency. In addition, this article also discusses the contribution of the National Sharia Council–Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI) in issuing fatwas that form the basis for the operation of Islamic products and services. With the Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) and other related regulations, the supervision of Islamic financial institutions has become more integrated, effective, and adaptive to industry developments. This study confirms that the existence of comprehensive regulations and policies not only strengthens the governance of Islamic financial institutions but also encourages the growth and competitiveness of the Islamic financial industry at both the national and global levels.

This study aims to examine Nurcholish Madjid’s ideas on the reconstruction of pesantren curricula in facing the challenges of modernity. As traditional Islamic educational institutions, pesantren are often criticized for focusing heavily on fiqh and linguistic sciences, while modern society requires the integration of general knowledge, technology, and life skills. Using a qualitative method with a library research approach, data were obtained from Nurcholish Madjid’s Bilik-Bilik Pesantren and related academic literature. The findings highlight three main issues in Cak Nur’s thought: (1) critique of the unbalanced traditional curriculum, (2) the gap between pesantren and the modern world, and (3) the need for reformulating a universal, rational, and inclusive Islamic weltanschauung. These ideas emphasize that pesantren curricula must balance tradition and modernity, strengthen faith and spirituality, while also fostering critical thinking, scientific literacy, and social ethics. The implication of this study suggests that integrative curricula are essential for pesantren to remain relevant in the era of globalization.

Environmental issues have become one of the primary focal points with high priority at regional, national, and international levels. A comprehensive understanding, free from dichotomy, is crucial in formulating policies related to sustainable development that integrate the dimensions of nature, social space, and the environment. The environmental degradation currently being experienced is a serious problem that requires in-depth attention from all stakeholders. Therefore, strong commitment and strategic action from the government are necessary to formulate policies that address the challenges of environmental damage that continue to escalate. Indonesia, as a country in Asia, plays a vital role in controlling global climate change and environmental governance. The approaches of governance and governability in environmental policy emphasize the importance of building institutional networks and partnerships from various sectors, including government, society, and the private sector (multi-stakeholders). All actors involved must share a common vision on environmental policies and strive to integrate environmental issues across various sectors, such as economics, social affairs, and politics. These governance and governability approaches must be grounded in the principles of green government and green policy, which have already been established as part of the national development agenda. This approach also highlights the importance of principles that are long-term, relevant, stable, prudent, and self-reliant in responding to environmental governance and policy issues in Indonesia. By applying these principles, it is hoped that the policies implemented will be more effective and provide positive impacts for environmental sustainability. Therefore, collaboration between the government and all relevant sectors is crucial in creating policies that ensure the continued preservation of the environment for the welfare of future generations.

Many phenomena are present and occur in human life, both those with major impacts and those with relatively small impacts, and of course the impact of these will also be felt well. The environmental crisis remains a trending topic in the global scope due to the impact and impact of the deteriorating environmental conditions itself. The natural crisis has a very large impact, pressuring the life of humanity in the process of survival. Not only does it impact humans, but there is a large tendency to impact cosmological concepts. The threat to humanity from this phenomenon as an ecological crisis, demands a strong and good contribution in striving for nature in the context of preserving and restoring nature itself. It cannot be denied that the role of nature is truly enormous for human life, so it is very necessary to take action that can protect and care for nature, not the opposite to exploit nature itself. A local conceptual-based action that involves the community itself is a solution in monitoring and restoring the condition of nature to the present. Environmental ethics need to be built within the scope of society in a context that is directly in contact with nature, which is none other than the elements of nature itself. Communities must take swift action to address this visibly deteriorating natural environment. This study employed a qualitative research method with a literature review approach. The study found that the concept of community democracy, in its efforts to maintain justice among living things, has a positive impact as a collective contribution to protecting and restoring nature in its crisis context.

The use of fossil-fueled vehicles has long been a major cause of exhaust emissions that pollute the air and exacerbate global climate change. In an effort to address this problem, Indonesia has begun developing electric vehicles as a more environmentally friendly alternative solution. Electric vehicles (EVs) are considered capable of reducing dependence on fossil fuels while simultaneously reducing air pollution levels. The Indonesian government has demonstrated its commitment to supporting electric vehicle development by issuing several strategic policies, including Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 55 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle Program for Road Transportation, and Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Use of Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicles as official vehicles for central and regional government agencies. In line with these policies, research was conducted to assess the power consumption efficiency of the Ken Dedes electric vehicle prototype, designed using a 250-watt DC motor and a mid-drive system. The main focus of this research was to analyze the effect of variations in module input voltage and gear size on the vehicle's power consumption level. The method used was an experimental approach with a quantitative approach, where a series of tests were conducted on several gear combinations and input voltage levels. The results of the study indicate that variations in these two parameters—gear size and input voltage—significantly affect motor power consumption. The most optimal combination in this study achieved a power consumption efficiency of 6 Wh/km. This figure demonstrates the most energy-efficient performance in vehicle operation and can serve as a benchmark for further development of similar electric vehicles. This research provides an important contribution to efforts to encourage the use of more efficient and sustainable electric vehicles in Indonesia.

This research aims to examine the dialectics of Islamic philosophers’ thought within the framework of Islamic philosophy of education, focusing on the ideas of Al-Farabi, Al-Ghazali, Ibn Sina, and Ibn Khaldun. The study is motivated by contemporary issues in Islamic education, which tends to emphasize cognitive and technical aspects while neglecting spiritual, moral, and social dimensions. In this context, the intellectual heritage of classical Islamic philosophers offers alternative paradigms that are more balanced, holistic, and future-oriented. The research applies a qualitative library-based design, employing philosophical hermeneutics to interpret primary texts and secondary literature. This method allows for a critical reading of the philosophers’ ideas, followed by a synthesis of their dialectical relationships. The findings reveal three major dialectics: rationality versus spirituality, represented by Al-Farabi and Al-Ghazali; individuality versus sociality, as reflected in Ibn Sina and Ibn Khaldun; and idealism versus realism, which bridges normative visions with historical realities. These dialectics do not end in opposition but generate an integrative framework for Islamic educational philosophy. The study concludes that Islamic education should be understood as a transformative process that unites intellect and heart, balances individual growth with social responsibility, and integrates ideal visions with empirical realities. The dialectics of Islamic philosophers therefore carry not only historical significance but also strategic relevance for developing Islamic curricula oriented toward nurturing the insan kamil and fostering a dignified civilization in the global era.

Education plays a crucial role in shaping the personality, morals, and spiritual values of students. In the Islamic perspective, education is not solely focused on the mastery of knowledge but also includes the cultivation of noble character, the strengthening of faith, and the enhancement of religiosity as a form of devotion to Allah Swt. Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), as traditional Islamic educational institutions, have a strategic role in instilling these values through religious activities, the teaching of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning), and the habituation of virtuous behavior. Pesantren serve not only as centers of learning but also as institutions for character formation and spiritual development. However, the forces of globalization and modernization bring new challenges in the form of cultural, technological, and informational influences that often conflict with Islamic values. Therefore, pesantren are required to develop adaptive, innovative, and relevant educational strategies that align with contemporary needs without losing their Islamic identity. One effective approach is the implementation of Islamic counseling, a process of psychological and spiritual guidance grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Through this counseling, students are expected to strengthen their faith, enhance their religiosity, and develop moral resilience in facing the dynamics of modern life based on strong Islamic values.

Drug abuse among adolescents in Jayapura City is a pressing issue with significant repercussions for health, society, and the future of younger generations. Due to Jayapura's strategic position as a border city with Papua New Guinea, it faces a heightened risk of cross-border drug trafficking, making it particularly vulnerable. This study explores the various factors contributing to the rise in drug abuse among adolescents, including individual, family, and peer group dynamics, socio-economic conditions, weak legal enforcement, and the influence of globalization. The findings suggest that a multifaceted approach is essential in addressing the problem. Repressive measures alone are insufficient, and should be complemented by preventive, rehabilitative, and educational strategies. Such approaches must emphasize child protection principles and ensure justice that is both substantive and forward-thinking. Progressive and responsive legal frameworks, aligned with the goals of criminal punishment, are necessary to effectively combat drug abuse in Jayapura. Moreover, these frameworks should prioritize adolescent recovery, recognizing that these individuals are the future of the nation.

This study examines the strategic role of euphemism in Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, arguing that it was instrumental not only in managing collective grief but also in preserving the nation’s symbolic dignity. While much scholarship on the Gettysburg Address has concentrated on rhetorical artistry or historical significance (Wills, 1992; White, 2009), relatively few have analyzed it through the combined lens of sociolinguistics, specifically euphemism and face-work. Drawing on Allan and Burridge’s (2006) framework of euphemism and Goffman’s (1955) theory of face, this paper situates Lincoln’s speech within the broader sociolinguistic processes of healing, unity, and image restoration. Through a qualitative textual analysis, the study identifies three dominant euphemistic strategies: sanctification of sacrifice through sacred language, collectivization through inclusive pronouns, and redefinition of crisis as a “new birth of freedom.” These strategies operated at semantic, pragmatic, and sociopolitical levels to protect national face, transform perceptions of the Civil War, and realign public consciousness toward unity and resilience. Beyond historical interpretation, this research highlights the relevance of euphemism and face-work in contemporary political communication. Leaders in modern contextsfrom economic crises to global pandemics continue to rely on euphemistic  framing to manage uncertainty and inspire solidarity. By revisiting Lincoln’s address through this sociolinguistic perspective, the study demonstrates how language can simultaneously mitigate trauma, construct identity, and articulate a hopeful collective future.
