Patients undergoing surgery often experience preoperative anxiety due to concerns about the outcome, pain, and the risk of complications. Uncontrolled anxiety can affect the patient's physiological and psychological condition and slow the recovery process. One non-pharmacological effort that can be used to reduce anxiety is the finger-holding relaxation technique, a simple method that can help balance emotions and provide a sense of calm. To determine the effect of the finger-holding relaxation technique on changes in preoperative anxiety levels in patients at Batang Regional General Hospital. Method: This study used a descriptive case study approach. The respondents were four patients who were about to undergo surgery and were experiencing anxiety. The intervention was conducted for approximately 15 minutes using the finger-holding relaxation technique. Anxiety levels were measured before and after the intervention using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). All respondents experienced a decrease in anxiety levels after the intervention. The average reduction in anxiety scores was 7.25 points. Before the intervention, two patients experienced severe anxiety and two patients experienced moderate anxiety. After the intervention, two patients experienced mild anxiety and two others experienced a decrease to moderate levels. This indicates that finger-holding therapy has a positive effect on reducing preoperative anxiety in patients. The finger-holding relaxation technique has been proven effective in reducing preoperative anxiety in patients. This intervention can be used as a simple, safe, and easy-to-implement non-pharmacological therapy alternative for nurses to improve patient psychological comfort.

Language plays a crucial role not only as a means of communication but also as a reflection of the values and character of society. In the context of youth mosque da'wah, the use of polite language is crucial because it influences the effectiveness of conveying religious messages and shaping the morals of listeners. This study aims to examine the application of the principles of polite language in youth mosque da'wah in Karanganyar Regency and efforts to improve it through training activities. The method used was a qualitative approach with observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions interactively. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the participants' understanding and practice of polite language after attending the training. Based on the questionnaire results, participants' post-test scores increased compared to the pre-test, indicating the effectiveness of the training in strengthening their understanding of the concept of polite speech. Furthermore, observations of da'wah practices showed positive changes in the use of more polite, structured, and empathetic language. This activity not only improved participants' communication skills but also raised awareness of the importance of language ethics in da'wah. Thus, this language politeness training contributes to the character development of mosque youth, helping them become moral, communicative, and civilized young preachers. It is hoped that similar activities can be developed to a more advanced level in the future to strengthen the application of politeness in religious communication among youth.

This research aims to formulate a techno-spiritual pedagogy as a Christian education approach relevant to the Indonesian context in the algorithm era. The main problem of this research is the crisis of faith depth among the younger generation, which is increasingly fragmented due to the dominance of digital technology and algorithmic logic that shapes an instant and shallow way of thinking. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, this study examines the interaction between technology, Christian spirituality, and critical faith education within the context of Christian education. This research offers novelty by referring to the formulation of the techno-spiritual pedagogy concept, which integrates technological rationality with the depth of biblical spirituality, thus producing a contextual and transformative critical faith education framework. The results show that techno-spiritual pedagogy can help students develop reflective abilities towards the algorithmization of digital culture without losing their theological and moral orientation. This model has the potential to become an alternative paradigm for Christian faith education in Indonesia that strives to maintain a balance between faith, ethics, and technological advancement.

The development of modern education requires students to adapt to various complex academic pressures such as heavy workloads, achievement demands, and limited time, which can trigger academic burnout. This condition negatively affects students’ motivation, concentration, and psychological well-being. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling using the metacognitive technique in reducing academic burnout among students at SMA Muhammadiyah Bantul. The research employed a one-group pretest–posttest design involving six twelfth-grade participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale-based academic burnout instrument that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis using SPSS showed a normal distribution (Sig. = 0.200), linear relationship (0.182), and no heteroscedasticity (1.000). Hypothesis testing produced a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 with an effect size of Cohen’s d = 7.482, indicating a strong effect. These findings demonstrate that group counseling with the metacognitive technique is effective in reducing academic burnout, enhancing self-awareness, and helping students manage academic stress, making it a useful intervention strategy for school guidance and counseling teachers.

Development financing systems in various developing countries, including Indonesia, have been tested by repeated global crises, such as the 2008 financial crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and geopolitical tensions since 2020. The economy is highly dependent on external funding, such as foreign loans and foreign direct investment (FDI), making it vulnerable to disruptions and uncertainty in capital flows. This article examines the strategic role of domestic savings as a stabilizer in maintaining the resilience of development financing using a desk study approach. The literature review shows that mobilizing domestic savings through conventional and Islamic financial institutions is crucial for encouraging long-term investment, reducing dependence on external financing, and strengthening national fiscal independence. In the Islamic economy, the rise of yield-based savings instruments, productive waqf, and retail sukuk has helped expand a stable and equitable domestic funding base. Furthermore, this article finds that digital transformation, fiscal incentive policies, and financial literacy are key to increasing public participation in productive savings. Therefore, increasing domestic savings is an economic tool and a national defense strategy in facing ongoing global crises.

Low Birth Weight (LBW) infants are among the leading causes of neonatal morbidity and mortality in Indonesia. This condition is associated with the immaturity of organ systems, including thermoregulation and respiratory function, making infants prone to stress, hypothermia, and oxygenation problems. One nursing intervention that helps improve physiological stability is the nesting technique, which positions the baby similarly to the intrauterine condition using soft rolled cloths as a “nest.” This case study aimed to determine the effect of nesting on oxygen saturation and pulse frequency changes in LBW infants in the perinatology room of RSUD Batang. The design used a descriptive case study with a nursing process approach involving 5 LBW infants who met inclusion criteria. The intervention was carried out by applying nesting for 30 minutes, then measuring oxygen saturation and pulse rate before and after the intervention using a pulse oximeter. The results showed an increase in oxygen saturation and changes in pulse rate after nesting. The mean oxygen saturation before intervention was 94%, increasing to 98% after three days of treatment. The average pulse rate increased from 130 beats/minute to 136 beats/minute, remaining within normal physiological limits (120–160 bpm). This indicates improved comfort and physiological stability due to the flexed position during nesting, which reduces stress and enhances oxygen efficiency. In conclusion, the nesting technique effectively improves oxygen saturation and stabilizes pulse rate in LBW infants. It is recommended as an evidence-based nursing practice for promoting comfort and physiological stability in premature or LBW infants in perinatology units.

This study aims to determine the extent to which certain profitability ratios, such as ROA and ROE, influence bank health, moderating these variables using Good Corporate Governance reports. A quantitative approach is used in this study, and secondary data from previous years are required for testing, sourced from PT. BPR BKK Purwodadi's report data. These findings demonstrate that companies with high profitability have incentives to maintain bank health, as this reflects effective operational and managerial performance. Furthermore, organizations with good corporate governance (GCG) generally have greater resources and a robust organizational structure, providing them with more opportunities to maximize performance. This study is expected to provide new perspectives on bank health maintenance practices, particularly for business entities in the banking sector. Particularly in the strategically significant banking industry, the results of this study are crucial for authorities such as the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to understand the relationship between corporate profitability, good corporate governance (GCG), and bank health. This understanding helps in developing more appropriate policies to maintain economic stability and financial fairness. The emphasis on business entities in the regional government-owned banking sector (Perseroda) during 2020 to 2024, a dynamic period with economic fluctuations, banking policy transformations, and major geopolitical challenges, distinguishes this study.

This study aims to uncover the theological meaning of Jesus' compassion as expressed in Matthew 9:36 through a biblical exegetical approach. This verse demonstrates Jesus' emotional and spiritual response to the plight of the crowd, described as "weary and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." Using the historical-grammatical exegesis method, this study examines the literary, historical, and linguistic context of the text, particularly the Greek word ἐσπλαγχνίσθη splanchnizomai, which describes compassion born from the depths of the heart. The analysis reveals that Jesus' compassion reflects the core of His messianic mission: God's active involvement in human suffering. This compassion is not merely passive sympathy, but an act that restores, teaches, and shepherds the lost, spiritually and socially. Thus, Matthew 9:36 reveals that Jesus' compassion is the foundation of the Gospel ministry, which emphasizes love, restoration, and God's presence amidst human suffering. Its theological implications emphasize that believers are called to embody Christ's compassion in their lives through loving, empathetic, and caring service to others.
