Mossak Batak Toba is a traditional martial art originating from the Batak Toba ethnic group in North Sumatra, passed down through generations. Characterized by swift, agile, and powerful movements, Mossak is not only a physical discipline but also embodies spiritual values such as courage, discipline, and loyalty. This study aims to identify and analyze the potential of Mossak Batak as a tourist attraction in Toba Regency from cultural, economic, and social perspectives, and to formulate strategies for optimizing its potential amid various existing challenges. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques, with descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis as analytical tools. The findings reveal that Mossak Batak holds significant cultural value as an intangible heritage, economic potential through performances and cultural tourism training, and a social role in reinforcing local identity and pride. However, challenges such as limited digital promotion, the absence of educational materials, weak stakeholder coordination, and low community participation remain. The study concludes that with proper strategies—such as cross-sector collaboration, effective digital promotion, and the development of local cultural festivals—Mossak Batak can be elevated as a prominent tourist attraction in Toba Regency. This not only contributes to cultural preservation but also supports local economic growth and strengthens the global recognition of Batak cultural identity.

The orientation of educational institutions is busy with exam scores, and academic grades are the main prerequisites for graduation. As a result, the product produced by students is how high the report card score is and discredits the values of character, life and morality. This causes students to lose focus on character education. For this reason, teachers as the main milestone in learning in the classroom are required to create a learning atmosphere with character based on DOOR (Diversity, Optimism, Option for The Poor, Respect). This is because the character based on DOOR is a guideline in the ministry at the Bethlehem Bandar Baru Foundation. The objectives of the study are: (1) To describe the management model of character education training based on DOOR; (2) Determine the feasibility of the character education training management model based on DOOR; and (3) Determine the effectiveness of the implementation of character education training management based on DOOR at the Bethlehem Bandar Baru Foundation. The research uses a research and development approach to develop a model to improve teacher performance at the Betlehem Bandar Baru Foundation. The research sample is 59 teachers at the Bethlehem Bandar Baru Foundation. There was an increase in teacher performance in the following aspects: learning planning by 42.05%; the implementation of learning is 29.74%; and assessed learning outcomes by 59.49%; and (3) a character training model developed practically for improving teacher performance at the Bethlehem Bandar Baru Foundation, obtained N-Gain Score g = 0.76 > 0.7 (small group trial) and g = 0.79 > 0.7 (limited wide trial); The resulting products were 76.40% (small group trials) and 79.08% (limited wide trials) with the effective category. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that the improvement of teacher performance at the Bethlehem Bandar Baru Foundation must be carried out with integrated planning, organization, implementation and supervision between the Archdiocesan Foundation, the Foundation's internal supervisors, principals, and teachers.

Ahlussunnah Wal Jama’ah (Aswaja) is an Islamic doctrine based on the Qur’an, Hadith, and the understanding of the companions and early scholars. This study aims to examine the Qur’anic and Hadith-based evidence that legitimizes Aswaja and its relevance to Islamic education. The research employs a literature review method, analyzing primary sources such as classical and contemporary tafsir books, major Hadith collections (Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Tirmidhi), and scholarly works by figures like Imam Ash’ari and Al-Ghazali. The findings indicate that Qur’anic verses, such as Surah Al-An’am (6:153) and Surah Ali Imran (3:103), emphasize the importance of adhering to the straight path, which is a central tenet of Aswaja. Furthermore, the Hadith on the division of the Muslim ummah into 73 sects supports Aswaja’s position as al-firqah an-najiyah (the saved sect). These sources provide textual legitimacy to the doctrine of Aswaja, affirming its central role in preserving Islamic unity. The implications for Islamic education are significant, including the integration of Aswaja values into curricula, the promotion of a moderate and balanced understanding of Islam, and the strengthening of faith based on authentic textual evidence. By incorporating Aswaja principles, educators can foster an environment that prioritizes tolerance, inclusivity, and intellectual engagement within Islamic educational settings. This study contributes to reinforcing a moderate and tolerant Islamic approach, promoting a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity in educational contexts.

This study aims to explore the integration pattern between Science and Islam in the context of the Integrated Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) for Biology at MAN 1 Wonosobo. The research specifically seeks to: (1) identify the conceptual pattern of Science–Islam integration in Biology learning, (2) examine the implementation of this integration in the KSM preparation process, and (3) analyze the factors influencing its effectiveness. This research adopts a qualitative approach, employing field research and descriptive analysis to capture a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The findings reveal that the integration pattern in Biology learning within the KSM context is characterized as integrative–interconnective, where scientific concepts are interconnected with Islamic values and perspectives. Supervisory teachers with a strong background in pure Biology tend to be more active in developing discussion themes, conducting in-depth dialogues, and organizing studies that merge scientific and religious viewpoints. The effective implementation of this integration is supported by optimal utilization of learning resources, particularly Biology textbooks, as a source of pure scientific material enriched with Islamic insights. Such integration is further strengthened by collaborative discussions between teachers and students, fostering deeper understanding and critical thinking. Several factors contribute to the effectiveness of Biology KSM learning. These include the existence of a curriculum and learning materials that intentionally integrate Science and Islam, as well as the interdisciplinary competencies of teachers who not only master Biology content but also possess the ability to connect it with Islamic principles. Additionally, institutional support from all components of the madrasah—administrators, fellow teachers, and students—plays a crucial role in creating a structured, motivating, and inspiring guidance environment. In conclusion, the integration of Science and Islam in the Biology KSM at MAN 1 Wonosobo represents an effective educational model that promotes both scientific literacy and religious understanding, contributing to holistic student development in madrasah education.
