Students' understanding of the concept of motion of objects on inclined planes still shows obstacles, especially when applied in real practice. This study aims to see the extent to which students understand the concept through simple experiments and questionnaires. The main focus of the study was on the results of the practicum, where the block slid faster on a smooth plane (an average of 1.25 seconds) than on a rough plane (an average of 1.61 seconds). This time difference reflects the effect of friction on the motion of objects, but some students were unable to explain the difference correctly. This indicates that there are still misconceptions in understanding the concepts of force and motion. Meanwhile, the results of the questionnaire only reinforced that most students felt the need for direct practice to understand this material. Thus, a practice-based learning approach is very important to strengthen students' conceptual understanding in Basic Physics courses.

All humans have human rights not because of gifts given to them by society or based on applicable positive law, but because they are human beings. Human rights violations if committed by anyone will be reciprocated by anyone whose rights are taken. As is happening now, human rights violations committed by the state of Israel against Palestine are a form of taking away other people’s rights, especially the right to life and live in safety. Actions such as blockades, evictions, restrictions on mobility, and armed attacks have raised serious concerns from the international community regarding violations of international humanitarian law. This study uses a descriptive-analytical approach to evaluate the extent to which these security policies exceed the principles of civilian protection. It obtains a conclusion that security concepts is often used in defense of act that are against international norms and agreements after analyzing government reports, data from human rights organizations, and UN resolutions. These findings point the value of achieving a balance between state objectives and human rights protection as part of a sustainable security policy in the context of strategic security studies.

Jurnal Pajak dan Analisis Ekonomi Syariah 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

This study examines the economic thought of Abu Ubaid al-Qasim bin Sallam as presented in his seminal work Kitab al-Amwal, with a particular focus on public finance within the framework of Islamic economics. Abu Ubaid emphasized the importance of distributive justice and the balance between individual rights, society, and the state in managing public wealth. He outlined various fiscal instruments such as zakat, kharaj, jizyah, fa’i, ‘usyur, and khumus as sources of state revenue that must be administered in accordance with sharia principles. In addition, his views on agrarian policies (such as iqtha’, ihya al-mawat, and hima) and the function of money demonstrate a strong relevance to a just and sustainable modern economic system. This research employs a qualitative approach using literature review as its primary method. The findings reveal that Abu Ubaid’s economic concepts are not only contextually relevant to the Abbasid era but also remain applicable in addressing contemporary challenges in public finance and wealth distribution, particularly in strengthening zakat governance in Indonesia.

Hidayah : Cendekia Pendidikan Islam dan Hukum Syariah 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Pendidikan Agama dan Filsafat Indonesia

This study aims to analyze the differences and similarities between the paradigm of Western rationalism, which places reason as the primary source of truth, and Islamic epistemology, which integrates revelation and reason in the pursuit of truth. The research employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach, drawing data from various scholarly works on Western and Islamic epistemological philosophy. A descriptive-comparative analysis is conducted to compare the fundamental concepts, methodologies, and implications of these two paradigms. The findings indicate that Western rationalism emphasizes reason and skepticism in verifying truth, with philosophers such as Descartes and Kant rejecting external authority in acquiring knowledge. Meanwhile, Islamic epistemology asserts that reason plays a crucial role but must align with revelation as the absolute source of truth. The study also finds that the dichotomy between revelation and reason is often misunderstood, whereas in Islam, they can complement each other. In conclusion, an integrative approach that combines the strengths of rationalism in scientific analysis with the moral and spiritual foundation of revelation can lead to a more comprehensive and applicable understanding in both knowledge and social life

This study aims to analyze the forms of learning difficulties experienced by students in understanding the path independence theorem in the Vector Calculus course. The focus of the research is a group of students who had previously presented this material in class. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing both open- and close-ended questions to explore conceptual understanding, difficulties in distinguishing between conservative and non-conservative fields, and challenges in solving application problems. The analysis revealed that although students reported having a fair grasp of the basic concepts, they still expressed uncertainty in understanding the relationship between path independence and the conditions for conservative fields. Difficulties were also found in spatial visualization and in connecting concepts with the fundamental theorem of calculus. In addition, students showed a preference for worked example problem sets and visual learning media as the most effective learning supports. These findings indicate the need for an interactive, contextual, and visually supported instructional approach to enhance students’ conceptual understanding and application skills related to this topic.

Crimes committed by drunk drivers that cause death are serious legal problems that have a broad impact on public safety. This study analyzes the form of criminal liability for such acts within the framework of Indonesian criminal law, by examining the application of the concepts of dolus eventualis and culpa. Although statutory provisions such as Articles 310 and 311 of the Traffic and Transportation Law and Article 359 of the Criminal Code have regulated criminal sanctions, implementation in the field is often weak and disproportionate. The legal approach tends to consider the act as negligence, whereas there is an element of conditional intent that must be considered. This study emphasizes the need for criminal law reform, strengthening law enforcement institutions, and public education to create a deterrent effect and protect people's right to life. The concept of dolus eventualis is an important alternative to expand criminal liability fairly and contextually.

This study aims to analyze the role of Knowledge Management (KM) and talent management in talent retention strategies in the West Java Provincial Government. In facing the challenges of competition to retain talented employees in the public sector, these two concepts are expected to increase employee engagement and job satisfaction, which in turn will reduce the turnover rate. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving 150 respondents from various West Java Provincial Government agencies, consisting of employees with different backgrounds and positions. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of KM in the West Java Provincial Government is still limited, with most of the information shared being tacit and informal. In addition, the implementation of talent management tends to be unfair, with some employees feeling that they do not get equal opportunities in career development. Factors that influence talent retention include job satisfaction, career development opportunities, compensation, and organizational culture. This study also found that the integration of KM and talent management can strengthen talent retention strategies, but challenges related to technological infrastructure, inequality in career opportunities, and lack of an integrated system are still obstacles.

The development of the education curriculum in Indonesia reflects a paradigm shift in strengthening scientific literacy, which plays an important role in shaping critical thinking patterns and student analysis to face the challenges of the 21st century. This study aims to examine the development of the concept of scientific literacy in the Indonesian national curriculum policy from the era of the School Level Curriculum (KTSP), the 2013 Curriculum, to the Merdeka Curriculum. The study was conducted through a literature study method on 20 relevant scientific articles published in the period 2013 to 2025. The results of the study show that scientific literacy in the KTSP is still implicit, limited to contextual learning approaches and direct experience. In the 2013 Curriculum, strengthening scientific literacy began to be realized through a scientific approach that encouraged students to develop critical thinking skills, understand scientific concepts, and carry out scientific processes systematically. Further transformation is seen in the Merdeka Curriculum, where scientific literacy is not only focused on cognitive aspects, but is also linked to character values and contextual problem solving through strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile and project-based learning. In general, this study concludes that there is a paradigm shift from knowledge-oriented science literacy to holistic and applied science literacy. This finding emphasizes the importance of continuity between policy curriculum, teacher professional development, and implementation of strategies in the field to optimize students' achievement of science literacy.

TechComp Innovations: Journal of Computer Science and Technology 2025 Pusat Riset dan Inovasi Nasional Mabadi Iqtishad Al Islami

The dominance of Western-centric norms in cybersecurity ethics presents a significant gap in addressing the moral and cultural realities of diverse societies, particularly those in the Muslim world. This paper proposes a decolonial and culturally inclusive framework by integrating Islamic ethical philosophy into the discourse on cybersecurity. Drawing on key Islamic concepts such as amanah (trust), ‘adl (justice), and niyyah (intention), the study explores how these values can inform ethical decision-making in digital environments. Through a philosophical-theological approach, it critiques the assumption of value neutrality in technology and highlights the moral agency and accountability embedded in Islamic metaphysics. The findings underscore the necessity of ethical pluralism and call for a global digital ethics that is both morally substantive and culturally responsive. Ultimately, the study contributes to the development of a more holistic and spiritually informed cybersecurity paradigm that resonates with the ethical traditions of Muslim-majority contexts.
