The purpose of this research is to find out a review of the compilation of Islamic law regarding interfaith marriages from a sharia perspective. The method used in this research is qualitative, with a comparative approach by conducting literature studies related to studies of theories relevant to the problem of interfaith marriages. In the view of Islamic law, marriage between different religions is strictly prohibited because it is contrary to the rules of Islamic law in maintaining the existence of religion. The goal of marriage is to create a sakinanh, mawaddah wa Rahmah household, but this goal is very difficult to realize if the marriage is built on the basis of different religions. Based on Marriage Law Number 1 of 1974 which is implemented in the compilation of Islamic law, it states that it does not accommodate interfaith marriages to strengthen the arguments put forward in the Koran.

A house is a basic human need, many people are rarely able to save in cash due to rising house prices. By providing pawn products (Home Ownership Credit), the Bank acts as a mediator between the interests of home buyers and sellers in this situation. However, Muslims are not allowed to use the usury transaction interest system used by mainstream banks. For Muslims who want interest-free financial services, the rise of Islamic banking is a good thing. However, the fact that sharia banking has not been able to match conventional banks in Indonesia is proof that the majority of Muslim communities there do not have full confidence in using sharia banks. Based on this, the author looks at and discusses how murabahah contracts are used in sharia finance at the Bank Sumut Syariah Lubuk Pakam Branch Office. The aim of this qualitative descriptive research which combines case study theory is to describe the implementation of the murabahah contract and determine its impact on sharia financing at Bank Sumut Syariah Lubuk Pakam Branch Office. To gather information regarding the use of murabahah contracts in Islam, the data collection approach uses interview procedures, namely questions and answers to officers, employees and authorized parties (in authority), as well as documentation. Descriptive techniques are used in data analysis procedures. The research findings, the application of the DSN-MUI fatwa regarding murabahah, turns out that the DSN-MUINo.04/DSNMUI/IV/2000 fatwa was followed in the case of murabahah financing for subsidized housing mortgage financing carried out by the North Sumatra Syariah Bank, Lubuk Pakam Branch Office.

The rapid expansion of digital platforms has transformed the issuance of fatwa in Southeast Asia, enabling Islamic legal opinions to be accessed widely and quickly. This shift challenges traditional patterns of religious authority, which were previously centered around formal institutions and face-to-face scholarly deliberation. While digital fatwa mechanisms enhance accessibility and responsiveness, they also raise concerns about legitimacy, legal accuracy, and public trust. This study examines the effectiveness of digital fatwa issuance mechanisms in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei Darussalam, using a qualitative comparative research approach. Data were collected through content analysis of official digital fatwa portals, focusing on accessibility, authority, validation, and legal consistency. The findings reveal that digital platforms increase access speed and broaden public reach, enabling religious institutions to address emerging legal issues more effectively. However, variations in verification procedures and legitimacy frameworks across countries reflect differences in governance and state involvement. Key challenges include the authentication of mufti authority, standardization of ijtihad methodologies, and consistency in legal substance. Digital fatwa contribute to improving Islamic legal literacy but risk authority fragmentation due to the proliferation of digital sources. The study concludes that integrating the efficiency of digital platforms with the authoritative safeguards of traditional institutions is crucial for developing an accountable model of digital fatwa governance.

The relationship between traditional Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and modern international human rights norms has long been characterized by debate and tension. Islamic law is commonly perceived as divinely grounded and normatively authoritative, whereas human rights frameworks are often viewed as secular, universal, and rooted in modern legal philosophy. This perceived dichotomy has contributed to the widespread assumption that Sharī‘a and human rights are inherently incompatible, particularly in sensitive areas such as gender equality, freedom of religion, and minority rights. Reassessing this tension is especially important for Muslim-majority societies that must reconcile religious legitimacy with global human rights obligations. This study explores the potential for harmonizing classical Islamic jurisprudence with contemporary human rights norms by identifying shared values, points of divergence, and feasible pathways for integration. Using a qualitative normative legal approach, the research employs doctrinal analysis of primary Islamic legal sources alongside international human rights instruments, supported by comparative analysis of key rights, including the protection of life, religious freedom, and gender equality. Interpretative analysis is applied to examine how classical and contemporary Islamic scholars conceptualize human rights within the Sharī‘a framework. The findings reveal substantial convergence between Islamic law and human rights norms, particularly in their shared emphasis on human dignity, justice, equality, and social welfare. While interpretative tensions persist, they are largely shaped by contextual and institutional factors rather than by the core ethical objectives of Islamic law. Integrative approaches grounded in ijtihad, maṣlaḥa, and maqāṣid al-sharī‘a offer constructive pathways for harmonization.

Islamic education holds a strategic position in shaping students’ moral character and social attitudes within multicultural societies. However, Islamic educational curricula are frequently perceived as prioritizing normative-textual transmission and doctrinal compliance, leaving limited room for interfaith dialogue and the cultivation of inclusive dispositions. This study critically assesses Islamic educational curriculum orientations and examines how sharia-based moral pedagogy can foster interfaith tolerance among students. The study also responds to the limited empirical linkage between sharia moral education and measurable developments in tolerance, inclusivity, and dialogic competence in Islamic schooling contexts. Using a qualitative design with descriptive-critical analysis, the research draws on curriculum document analysis and classroom observations across several Islamic educational institutions. Data are analyzed thematically to identify how three key curricular dimensions-akhlak (ethical conduct), maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah (higher moral objectives), and Islamic civilization history-are embedded and enacted in teaching practices, as well as how these elements shape students’ attitudes toward religious difference. The results indicate that akhlak-centered learning supports empathy, mutual respect, and non-discriminatory behavior by framing morality as lived practice rather than abstract instruction. Integrating maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah strengthens students’ inclusive orientation by emphasizing public good, justice, and human dignity as guiding principles for social relations. Additionally, teaching Islamic civilization history-especially narratives of coexistence-enhances students’ awareness of interfaith engagement and positions dialogue as compatible with Islamic identity. A comparative analysis suggests that sharia-based moral pedagogy is more effective than normative-textual curricula in building tolerant and inclusive student dispositions, mainly because it enables reflective learning, contextual moral reasoning, and dialogic interaction.

This research aims to determine the regulations related to the implementation of digital gold investment in Indonesia and to determine the form of legal protection that BAPPEBTI can provide through statutory regulations for digital gold customers. This research is normative legal research that is descriptive in nature. The research approach used is a statutory and conceptual approach. The types and sources of legal materials used consist of primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The legal material collection technique used is literature study a. The legal material analysis technique used is deductive using the syllogism method. Based on the research results, it was found that the implementation of digital gold investment trading in Indonesia is generally regulated in the Commodity Futures Trading Law, explained in more detail in Minister of Trade Regulation No. 119 of 2018, and the technical provisions are regulated in BAPPEBTI Regulations. The legal protection that BAPPEBTI can provide to digital gold customers includes carrying out supervision and even inspection of companies carrying out digital gold trading activities, then if violations are found by the company concerned, BAPPEBTI can impose administrative or criminal sanctions. However, there is a contradiction in Article 6 letters e and f in the Commodity Futures Trading Law, in letter e it is stated that BAPPEBTI has the authority to carry out inspections of parties who have business permits, individual permits, approvals or registration certificates. However, in letter f it is stated that BAPPEBTI appoints another party to carry out certain inspections in the context of implementing BAPPEBTI's authority as referred to in letter e. This shows that BAPPEBTI as a special institution for futures trading cannot be directly involved in enforcing the futures trading system, which means that BAPPEBTI's role in providing legal protection for digital gold customers is not optimal.

This study explores the intersection of classical Islamic philosophical thought and modern environmental ethics to propose a Sharia-based eco-theology model for addressing global sustainability challenges. It investigates key Islamic environmental principles, such as khalifah (stewardship), amanah (trustworthiness), and mizan (balance), which emphasize humanity’s responsibility to protect and preserve the environment. These values, derived from Islamic teachings, offer a moral and spiritual framework for ecological stewardship, aligning closely with contemporary concerns like sustainability, biodiversity preservation, and climate change mitigation. The research integrates these Islamic principles with modern ecological ethics, including ecocentrism, deep ecology, and environmental justice, to construct a holistic eco-theological model. Through this framework, the study emphasizes the importance of balancing ecological, economic, and social factors to promote environmental justice. The findings suggest that Islamic eco-theology can play a significant role in fostering environmental responsibility within Muslim communities and beyond, contributing to global sustainability efforts. Practical applications of these principles are seen in educational initiatives, such as the incorporation of eco-theology into curricula at Islamic institutions, and in community-based environmental projects. The research also highlights the challenges and limitations of traditional interpretations of Islamic environmental ethics, suggesting the need for progressive and adaptive approaches in addressing modern environmental issues. Future research directions include exploring the integration of this eco-theology in policy-making, Islamic education, and cross-cultural applications, ensuring its relevance to diverse communities facing environmental challenges.
