This study aims to identify Islamic educational values implemented in the Tiban tradition in Hargomulyo Village, Sekampung District, East Lampung Regency. Tiban is a rain-seeking ritual performed by the community during prolonged drought as a form of endeavor that combines elements of local culture with Islamic values. Using an ethnographic approach with qualitative methods, this research involved participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the Tiban tradition in Hargomulyo Village implements Islamic educational values, including: (1) faith values, in the form of belief in Allah's power as the creator and regulator of the universe including rain; (2) worship values, reflected in the series of prayers, dhikr, and istisqa prayers accompanying the ritual; (3) moral values, in the form of tawakkal, patience, sincerity, and mutual cooperation in ritual implementation; and (4) social values, in the form of strengthening social cohesion and solidarity among residents. The transformation of this ritual demonstrates the acculturation process between Javanese culture and Islamic teachings that has developed harmoniously, although there are some elements that still need adjustment to be more in line with Islamic law. This research contributes to the preservation of local wisdom that aligns with Islamic values and the development of culture-based Islamic education.

It also established the voting remedies disinterest from the viewpoints of the voters and, lastly, investigated how factors including socioeconomic position, political party affiliations, and educational attainment affected the voters' degree of voting apathy. The survey research design was used in the study. Using a purposive sampling technique, 350 electorates from seven faculties at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife made up the sample size. Before being used, a tool called the Voting Apathy Questionnaire (VAQ) was created and verified. Three hypotheses were investigated and confirmed, and three research questions were posed and addressed. Among other things, the results indicated that 50.3% of voters were indifferent to voting. Additionally, the degree of voting indifference among the electorate was significantly influenced by educational levels (² = 161.969a, p < 0.05). Rational Choice Theory was selected as the theoretical underpinning, and the study used both survey research design and secondary sources of data collection as information gathering techniques. The results showed that low levels of education and illiteracy are associated with poor political and voter education, particularly when it comes to the fact that the majority of voters (roughly 50%) fail to pick up their permanent voter cards and are therefore unable to be accredited to vote; that Nigerian politics is another factor, as it is known as a bitter and acrimonious politics; and that because elected officials have failed to fulfill their campaign promises, the electorate has lost faith in the government and finds it difficult to participate in the electoral process.

This article examines the synergy between Islamic theological values and local wisdom as a basis for resistance to environmental exploitation in Mandailing Natal. The focus of the study lies on the application of faith principles, such as the concepts of khalifah, justice, and ihsan, and their implementation through the traditional practice of lubuk larangan. The literature study method was used to collect and analyze secondary data from scientific articles, journals, and national and local news sources. The results of the study show that these Islamic theological values have been deeply rooted in the culture of the Mandailing Natal community, encouraging a critical attitude towards illegal gold mining practices that damage the ecosystem. The lubuk larangan tradition also acts as a mechanism for social control and environmental conservation, by implementing periodic restrictions on extractive activities to provide space for natural regeneration. The findings indicate that the integration of Islamic theology and local wisdom results in a more integrated and ethical natural resource management paradigm. This research recommends strengthening the synergy of faith values and local traditions in the formulation of public policies and increasing community participation in environmental monitoring. This integrative approach can be used as a strategic model to overcome the challenges of environmental exploitation amid increasingly complex global dynamics.

The Protestant Reformation had a significant impact on the development of Christian theology, especially in the field of Christology. This study aims to examine the thoughts of Martin Luther and John Calvin regarding the role of Christ in the process of human salvation. The method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study technique, which examines the theological works of the two Reformers. The results of the study show that Luther emphasized the personal relationship between humans and Christ as savings, as well as the real presence of Christ in the sacrament as a form of God's grace that can be experienced personally. Meanwhile, Calvin developed the concept of three placements of Christ as prophet, priest, and king which emphasized the overall role of Christ in salvation, and viewed the sacrament as a spiritual means to strengthen the faith of believers. Through this study, it can be concluded that Christology in the Reformation tradition provides a strong, systematic, and relevant theological basis for the development of contemporary Protestant teachings, both in doctrinal aspects and the practice of life of faith.

The state of Christ’s humiliation and exaltation represents two essential aspects of Christology, illustrating His journey from incarnation to ascension. Christ’s humiliation includes His humble birth, a life of suffering, and His death on the cross. In contrast, His exaltation encompasses His resurrection, ascension to heaven, and reign as the sovereign King over all creation. This study aims to analyze the theological significance of Christ’s humiliation and exaltation and their relevance to the lives of believers. This research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method, where primary data sources are drawn from biblical texts and Christian theological literature. The findings reveal that Christ’s humiliation is an act of obedience to God the Father and a means of human redemption, while His exaltation serves as evidence of victory over sin and death and the fulfillment of God’s plan of salvation. Furthermore, this study affirms that the relationship between Christ’s humiliation and exaltation has implications for the faith of believers, providing hope for future glory with Christ and calling them to live in obedience and perseverance amid suffering.

Sola fide is the main Reformed teaching that salvation is only obtained through faith alone, not through charity or good deeds. in the 16th century the practice of indulgences and the Catholic church's emphasis on good works gave rise to doubts in the faith, which later gave rise to the Reform Movement. In response, the reformers restored the principle of sola fide to protect believers in the Lord Jesus from doubts about their Faith. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of sola fide in strengthening believers' faith before reform skepticism, through a literature review of the writings of reformer figures. The results show that emphasizing God's sovereign grace, the sufficiency of faith for forgiveness of sins and assurance of salvation, and sola fide can strengthen believers' faith against attacks of skepticism. This understanding provides important insight for believers today about how to strengthen their faith in the face of increasing skepticism. Overall, this research shows the central role of the principle of sola fide in the history of Christian thought.

This research aims to analyze how the church in the old and new testaments. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which aims to understand the structure so that it has a major influence on contemporary Christianity. From a conceptual perspective, the Church in the Old Testament is understood as a community of God's chosen people whose identity is attached to the ethnic unity of the Israelites and attachment to the law within the framework of the covenant. While in the New Testament, the understanding of the Church undergoes a transformation into a universal, inclusive, and spiritual community of faith, consisting of all people who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, without ethnic or legal restrictions. In terms of structure and leadership, the Old Testament features a leadership system based on heredity and institutional positions such as priests and prophets who mediate the people's relationship with God; whereas in the New Testament, leadership is no longer hereditary, but based on the gift of the Holy Spirit, with a collegial, functional and participatory service model and Christ as the Head of the Church, emphasizing the dimensions of relationships and service in the community. In terms of sacraments, religious practices in the Old Testament such as religious celebrations functioned as symbols of obedience and identity of the people's covenant with God, but in the New Testament, so the sacramental meaning is renewed through baptism and holy communion which are spiritual and Christocentric, marking new fellowship in Christ in the context of grace. This study concludes that the New Testament cannot be understood as a break with or an abolition of the traditions and practices that existed in the Old Testament. Instead, the New Testament represents a theological fulfillment and essential transformation of the entire narrative and system that had been built in the Old Testament.

This article explores the paradigm of church missions in reaching Generation Z, known as the digital generation hungry for meaning. The main challenge faced is the irrelevance of traditional, institutional, and dogmatic missionary approaches, which fail to address the emotional and spiritual needs of Generation Z. The aim of this research is to identify and propose more participatory and dialogical missionary methods, as well as leverage digital technology to build authentic communities. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive-analytical approach, involving literature review and narrative analysis. The main findings indicate that the church needs to transform from merely delivering messages to listening and guiding, and creating interactive spaces that allow Generation Z to actively engage. Thus, the church can become a community that is inhabited, not just a place that is visited, where each individual feels accepted and has space to grow in faith. In conclusion, to remain relevant in the digital age, the church must adopt a new mission paradigm that focuses on consistent and meaningful presence in the lives of Generation Z, so that it can become a voice that is heard and provides hope and meaning in their lives.
