This study is motivated by the declining interest of children in traditional games due to the rapid development of digital technology. Traditional games, however, hold great potential as a medium for character education, particularly in fostering values of cooperation, responsibility, and social interaction. The purpose of this study is to analyze the character value of cooperation that emerges through the implementation of traditional games among students and to evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing social interaction within the school environment. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach involving 23 students from SMPK Santo Don Bosco Lewoleba. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire comprising five indicators of cooperation: active participation, polite communication, care and support, acceptance of decisions, and responsibility and honesty. Data analysis was conducted by calculating the mean score for each indicator and converting it into qualitative categories. The findings reveal that the implementation of traditional games develops students’ cooperation values at a very good level, with an average score of 3.55. This indicates that traditional games contribute positively to students’ character formation, particularly in fostering teamwork, respect for peers, and harmonious social relationships. The study implies that traditional games can serve as an effective and enjoyable contextual learning medium to strengthen character education in primary and secondary schools.

This study aims to analyze ticket purchasing behavior at Mawar Tour & Travel Pekalongan. The issue raised in this research is the decline in direct ticket purchases due to the rise of competing digital platforms, which has made it more challenging for traditional travel agencies to retain customers. The research method used is quantitative, employing multiple linear regression analysis through SPSS software to evaluate various factors influencing customer decisions. The results show that service quality and price perception significantly affect purchase intention, while booking convenience does not directly influence it but is fully mediated by trust, highlighting the importance of building strong customer relationships. These findings suggest that Mawar Tour & Travel should enhance service quality, strengthen customer trust, and adopt competitive pricing strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales. This approach would enable the agency to stay competitive in the rapidly changing digital marketplace and better meet the needs of its customers.

This study, entitled "Dynamics in Village Leadership (A Study of Village Apparatus Recruitment in Weseben Village, Malaka Regency)," aims to analyze the leadership style of village heads in the apparatus recruitment process, uncover the growing practices of patronage and clientelism, and examine their implications for the implementation of good governance principles at the village level. Theoretically, this research is based on village leadership theory, patronage-clientelism theory, and the concept of good governance, which emphasizes the values of transparency, accountability, and public participation in village governance. The method used was a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with village heads, village officials, traditional leaders, members of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), and the community, and was supported by field observations and documentation studies. The results indicate that: (1) the leadership style of village heads in Weseben is dominant and personalistic, with the village head retaining full control over the apparatus recruitment process, (2) apparatus recruitment places greater emphasis on loyalty and personal closeness than on professional competence, (3) The practice of patronage and clientelism is strongly evident in the relationship between the village head as patron and village officials as clients, which is built through kinship ties and reciprocal interests, (4) decisions regarding the appointment of officials are often tinged with elements of nepotism and collusion to strengthen the village head's political support base, and (5) the recruitment system is not yet oriented towards the principle of a merit system, namely a selection system based on individual ability, achievement, and integrity, as implemented in professional governance. Thus, it can be concluded that the dynamics of village leadership in Weseben are still strongly influenced by the practice of patronage and clientelism, which hinders the realization of democratic, transparent, and accountable village governance.

This study explores the transformation of traditional worship values within the Klon tribe community in Alor, East Nusa Tenggara. Prior to their conversion to Christianity, the community practiced a religious system centered on mesbah (stone altars) where they worshiped ancestral spirits and local deities. The introduction of Christianity through inculturation led to a significant shift in worship practices, transitioning from rituals at the mesbah to those at the church pulpit. However, rather than losing their spiritual and communal values, these traditions adapted and were integrated into Christian practices. The study highlights how elements of local wisdom were preserved and transformed, creating a bridge between indigenous beliefs and Christian teachings. This transformation demonstrates that the core values of worship such as reverence for ancestors and community solidarity continued to play a role in the newly adopted Christian practices. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of understanding such cultural transformations, especially in the context of Christian Religious Education. It suggests that contextualizing religious teachings within local traditions and wisdom can foster a deeper, more meaningful connection to faith for communities undergoing cultural change. By valuing these local traditions, Christian Religious Education can become more relevant and impactful, encouraging a harmonious blending of old and new beliefs.

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as Islamic educational institutions face modernization challenges in developing effective learning methods. Action learning as an experience and reflection-based learning approach emerges as a relevant alternative. This article aims to conduct a systematic literature review on the implementation of action learning and experiential learning in Indonesian Islamic boarding school education. The research method uses a systematic literature review approach by analyzing 15 indexed journal articles from the 2018-2025 period. Inclusion criteria include articles in Indonesian and English, published in accredited journals, and discussing action learning or experiential learning in Islamic boarding schools. Analysis results reveal three main findings: (1) action research has been implemented to address specific problems such as student mental health with humanistic and participatory approaches, (2) experiential learning is applied through hadith learning, entrepreneurship programs, and life skills development that enhance cognitive abilities, communication, and student adaptation, (3) integration of action learning with pesantren values creates a distinctive learning model combining tradition and innovation. Identified research gaps include minimal longitudinal studies, lack of long-term impact measurement, and limited comparative analysis among pesantren. This study recommends developing a theoretical framework for action learning contextual to pesantren characteristics and further research with more comprehensive methodologies.

This study examines in depth the concepts of maysir, gharar, and riba as three practices that are prohibited in sharia economics because they are considered to cause injustice and imbalance in economic activities. Through an analysis of the postulates of the Qur'an and Hadith, this study confirms that the prohibition of maysir is based on the element of excessive speculation that harms one of the parties, gharar is rejected because it contains ambiguity in the object and contract, while riba is prohibited because it creates an unequal addition in financial transactions. In addition, the study highlights how other religions and various modern economic systems have paid attention to the principles that are in line with the prohibition of these three concepts, especially related to business ethics, social justice, and economic risk mitigation. A cross-faith perspective shows that universal values such as honesty, transparency, and balance are essential foundations for building a sustainable economic order. By combining normative perspectives and cross-tradition comparisons, this study seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the dangers of maysir, gharar, and usury, as well as the implications of the implementation of their prohibition in modern economic life. The results of the study are expected to be a reference in formulating economic practices that are fair, stable, and able to be widely applied in various communities.

Folklore is a cultural artifact that stores local wisdom and timeless character education value. One of the folk tales from the Malay coast of Bengkalis that is full of meaning is Merbau Bersiram Blood, a legend about betrayal, slander and a fight for honor between two royal commanders. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, this article traces the story as a representation of moral education in the construction of Malay culture. Narrative analysis of story line, characters, and symbolism shows how values such as honesty, loyalty, and the consequences of injustice are subtly but powerfully embedded in the structure of the story. This story not only tells of a bloody tragedy, but also reflects the social mechanisms of Malay society in responding to betrayal and cultivating ethics. By re-exploring this story, this article raises the urgency of revitalizing oral traditions as a contextual and meaningful character learning medium, especially in local culture-based education ecosystems. Blood-Drenched Merbau is not just a legend, but a moral voice that echoes from the past for the future generation of Malays.

Love plays a central role in Christian moral theology as the fundamental principle guiding human moral decisions and actions. This study aims to examine the meaning, concept, and role of love in moral theology, as well as its practical application in Christian life. Employing a qualitative method with a literature review approach, this research explores theological perspectives, Scriptural foundations, and the moral implications of love within the Christian tradition. The findings show that moral theology is inseparable from the nature of God as Love, and that love is not merely an emotion but a deliberate moral act oriented toward the good of others. Christian love, understood as agape, represents the highest form of selfless and sacrificial love and becomes the normative basis for moral judgment. Love gives meaning and value to human moral actions, shapes ethical principles, and directs believers to live according to God’s will. In moral practice, love enables Christians to act justly, uphold human dignity, and build harmonious relationships with God, others, society, and creation. The study implies the need for strengthening love-based moral formation within the Church and society, especially amid modern challenges and the growing distortion of love among young people. Future research is recommended to expand on interdisciplinary studies and contextual applications of love in various socio-cultural and religious settings.

This study aims to analyze the contributions and controversies of Orientalist interpretation in the process of reforming modern Islamic thought, particularly in the Indonesian academic and intellectual context. This study uses library research methods by examining a number of scholarly articles and books discussing the influence of Orientalism on the study of interpretation and hadith. The results show that the Orientalist approach, through historical-critical, philological, and hermeneutical methods, has made a significant contribution to the expansion of a more contextual and rational interpretation methodology. This approach has encouraged the emergence of a new epistemological awareness among Muslim commentators and thinkers in examining sacred texts more scientifically and openly to modern realities. However, this study also uncovered a number of fundamental controversies. Orientalists are often seen as reducing sacred texts to mere historical artifacts and are considered to carry ideological biases and colonial missions that have the potential to shift the authenticity of revelation and local Islamic identity. Thus, the reform of modern Islamic thought ideally does not reject all Orientalist approaches, but rather carries out critical integration while maintaining a balance between scientific methodology and normative faith. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of developing a contextual interpretation of the Nusantara that utilizes the advantages of orientalist methodology without losing the roots of Islamic tradition.

Rapid global population growth has led to climate change and agricultural land degradation, posing significant challenges to the stability of global food security. The traditional livestock sector is known to absorb high levels of greenhouse gas emissions that can accelerate natural resource degradation and require innovative and sustainable approaches to meet the demand for animal protein. This study aims to analyze the contribution of cultured meat technology as an ethical and environmentally friendly alternative to improving global food security. This study uses a desk study method that addresses the technical, social, economic, and ethical aspects of cultured meat production. The analysis results indicate that the application of this technology has the potential to reduce land use and carbon emissions by up to 70% compared to conventional livestock systems, in addition to reducing animal suffering and the risk of zoonotic disease transmission. However, its application still faces several obstacles, such as high production costs, dependence on whey-based culture media, and difficulties in halal certification and public acceptance. These findings underscore the importance of synergy between scientists, governments, and religious authorities to ensure the safety, effectiveness, and equivalence of technology with ethical principles and socio-cultural values. With strong regulatory support and ongoing research, cultured meat technology has the potential to be a strategic solution for building a resilient, equitable, and environmentally responsible global food system.

This study aims to examine in depth how gender equality values are integrated into Buddhist Religious Education (PAB) at the junior high school level, based on the Merdeka Curriculum. Through a content analysis approach to character representation, women's roles, language, visual illustrations, access to Dhamma education, gender equality values, role models of female characters, students' critical reflections, and narrative-visual consistency, this study identifies significant gaps in gender representation. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through content analysis of PAB textbooks for grades VII–IX and interviews with three Dharma teachers in Jakarta. The results show that the representation of female characters in the textbooks is very limited and the learning narratives tend to be normative without addressing structural aspects of gender inequality. The findings indicate the dominance of male characters, the lack of functional narratives about nuns and women, and the use of language and illustrations that tend to reinforce traditional gender stereotypes. Although there are attempts to mention gender equality in some chapters, the integration is not comprehensive and consistent across the materials. This article recommends the development of a more inclusive curriculum and teaching materials, encouraging balanced gender representation, and integrating gender equality values holistically in Buddhist religious education to form a more equitable and comprehensive understanding for students, as well as teacher training based on critical pedagogy and revision of learning content to reflect gender equality in Buddhist teachings.

This study discusses the innovation of Arabic language learning strategies based on communicative skills that emphasizes mastery of four main aspects, namely listening (istima'), speaking (kalam), reading (qira'ah), and writing (kitabah). The background of the research departs from the problem that Arabic language learning in many educational institutions is still dominated by traditional approaches that focus on memorization and translation. As a result, students have difficulty in applying Arabic actively and communicatively. This research aims to describe the concept of language skills-based learning, identify effective methods, and analyze obstacles and implementable solutions. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods through literature studies, observations, and interviews, this study found that language skills-based approaches are more effective in improving communication skills than traditional methods. Methods such as Direct Method, Communicative Approach, Audio-Lingual Method, and Total Physical Response (TPR) have been proven to be able to increase students' participation and language competence. In addition, the use of digital media and interactive applications strengthens the learning process. However, limited resources, lack of interactive media, and lack of practice time are major challenges. This study concludes that technology integration, improving educator competencies, and preparing a practice-based curriculum are the keys to the success of Arabic language learning that is communicative and relevant to the needs of the modern era.

. This research aims to analyze the values of Islamic education that are internalized in the aesthetics and spiritual dimension of Sufi dance, especially in the Sema ritual. In the Islamic view, art is not only an expression of beauty, but also a means of da'wah and a manifestation of love for Allah the Most Beautiful (Al-Jamīl). Using the descriptive qualitative literature study method, this study examines the symbolic and spiritual meanings contained in each element of Sema. The results of the analysis show that Sema is a dynamic form of dhikr that is firmly rooted in the Sufism tradition, oriented towards the purification of monotheism, and the process of purification of the soul (tazkiyatun nafs). Aesthetic elements such as hirkah, tennure, and sikke costumes have a deep symbolism about ego release (fana'), while the rotating movement symbolizes a spiritual journey (suluk) towards oneness with God. Pedagogically, Sufi Dance contains the essential values of Islamic education, such as spiritual calmness, love, patience, and sincerity, which can be used as a holistic learning model to form the awareness of monotheism and spirituality of modern humans. This research confirms that spiritual arts such as Sema have significant relevance in contemporary Islamic education as a medium for internalizing transcendental values.

This study offers an in-depth comparative assessment of land registration systems in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Australia, acknowledging that variations in historical evolution, legal infrastructures, and administrative mechanisms have shaped each country’s approach to land governance. These foundational distinctions play a crucial role in determining how effectively each nation provides legal certainty, secures land ownership rights, and administers land records with accuracy and efficiency. The analysis explores how differing registration models—ranging from deeds-based to title-based systems—impact levels of transparency, reliability, and public trust in land management institutions. Furthermore, the study identifies the strengths, limitations, and operational challenges within each framework, demonstrating that no single system is universally superior. Instead, the effectiveness of land registration practices depends on how well they align with the socio-legal context, institutional capacity, and administrative heritage of each region. The findings emphasize the importance of context-specific policy formulation, suggesting that land administration reforms should not merely replicate foreign models but must be adapted to local legal traditions and governance needs. Overall, this research underscores the necessity of designing land registration systems that enhance legal protection, promote efficient land administration, and strengthen the long-term security of landowners’ rights across diverse jurisdictions.

This study aims to analyze the role of Public Relations in establishing partnerships with the press to increase publicity at SMPN 12 Jember. The background of this study is influenced by the importance of positive media publications in building a school's reputation and competitiveness amidst intense competition among educational institutions. The research method used is a qualitative case study approach, involving in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies of public relations staff and media partners. The results show that the role of public relations has evolved from an administrative function to a strategic spearhead that manages two-way communication, fosters relationships, and builds reputation. The strategies implemented include the use of convergent media, by combining traditional media (such as school magazines and brochures) with digital media (such as websites, Instagram, and YouTube) to expand the reach of messages. In addition, adaptations to local culture, such as the use of polite Javanese language and a family-like approach, have proven effective in building public trust. This study also emphasizes the importance of systematic and participatory evaluation to improve program effectiveness. The implications of this study suggest that schools design measurable and contextual public relations strategies with local values to increase the school's visibility and positive image.
