This study aims to evaluate the effect of different settling times on the quality of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) produced without heating (cold process), by comparing two time variations: 3 hours and ±18 hours (variation 1) and 4 hours and ±24 hours (variation 2), through organoleptic tests (color, aroma, taste), acid value, and pH analysis. The results showed that VCO from variation 2 had better quality, with a clear color, a fresh coconut-like aroma, a pleasant taste, an acid value of 1.707 mg KOH/g, and a pH of 6.4–6.5, all of which met the quality standards of SNI 7381-2008. In contrast, variation 1 showed imperfections in oil separation due to shorter settling time, which triggered oxidation and fat hydrolysis. Thus, optimal settling time in the cold process method is a key factor in producing high-quality VCO that is free from rancid odor.

This study aims to identify the application and violation of the principles of politeness according to Geoffrey Leech in the village government WhatsApp group communication. The phenomenon of language use in institutional digital communication often ignores the elements of politeness, even though communication is carried out in a professional context. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. The data studied are in the form of speech or written messages sent by members of the Bendung Village Government WhatsApp group, Jetis District, Mojokerto Regency. Data collection techniques are carried out through reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis is carried out using interactive analysis techniques including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show the application of the six maxims in communication in the village government WhatsApp Group based on Geoffrey Leech's principles of politeness, between the maxim of agreement, the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of praise, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of sympathy, and the maxim of humility appearing in forms of communication. This application shows that digital media does not eliminate the values of politeness, but rather becomes an adaptation of a more flexible but ethical communication strategy. Furthermore, micro-frequencies of violations of the maxim of agreement, the maxim of wisdom and the maxim of sympathy were also found in the context of conveying sensitive, technical or administrative information. The world of education has undergone major changes since the advent of technology and the internet. Most students prefer new learning methods brought by technology rather than listening and writing in class which are considered outdated. The presence of technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) should be able to overcome the weakness of conventional learning methods and make it more interesting for students. Conventional learning activities in class such as writing and taking notes can be replaced by AI which is designed to perform tasks like humans. Therefore, this study was conducted by developing a system for recording and summarizing lectures using AI technology. The system development process uses the waterfall method as a guide, while the system modeling is created using the UML method. The application of AI technology into conventional learning methods can create a more interactive class by setting aside student's tasks like writing and taking notes, creating more interaction with the lecturer, resulting in a higher quality of education.

This paper explores the application of quantum-inspired optimization algorithms in the training of large-scale Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) within distributed cloud-edge environments. GNNs have gained significant attention due to their ability to model complex relationships in graph-structured data, yet their training presents challenges such as high computational demand, inefficient resource allocation, and slow convergence, especially for large datasets. Traditional meta-heuristic algorithms, while useful, often face scalability and performance issues when applied to such large-scale tasks. To address these challenges, we propose a quantum-inspired meta-heuristic algorithm that leverages quantum principles, such as superposition and entanglement, to enhance optimization processes. The algorithm was integrated into a hybrid cloud-edge system, where computational tasks are dynamically distributed between edge nodes and the cloud, optimizing resource utilization and reducing latency. Our experimental results demonstrate significant improvements in training speed, resource efficiency, and convergence rate when compared to traditional optimization methods such as Genetic Algorithms and Simulated Annealing. The quantum-inspired algorithm not only accelerates the training process but also reduces memory usage, making it well-suited for large-scale GNN applications. Furthermore, the system's scalability was enhanced by the hybrid cloud-edge architecture, which balances computational load and enables real-time data processing. The findings suggest that quantum-inspired optimization algorithms can significantly improve the training of GNNs in distributed systems, opening new avenues for real-time applications in areas such as social network analysis, anomaly detection, and recommendation systems. Future work will focus on refining these algorithms to handle even larger datasets and more complex GNN architectures, with potential integration into edge devices for enhanced real-time decision-making.

The correctional facility SAE L’SIMA in Malang is confronted with two major challenges: the environmental impact of accumulated cow manure and the need to provide meaningful vocational training for inmates to support rehabilitation and reintegration. This community service program was designed to address both issues simultaneously through the introduction and application of biogas technology. The primary objective was to manage livestock waste as an alternative renewable energy source while equipping inmates with practical technical skills applicable beyond the correctional setting. The implementation method employed a participatory approach that involved several stages, including program socialization, site survey, biogas unit design, assembly of a small-scale digester, and subsequent monitoring and evaluation. The results demonstrated that the biogas unit was successfully constructed and operational; however, gas production levels remained below optimal standards. Key challenges identified included unstable temperature conditions, which negatively affected the fermentation process, and technical problems such as leakage in the piping system. These obstacles limited the overall effectiveness of gas generation. Despite these limitations, the project provided significant outcomes. First, it created a working model of sustainable energy generation within the correctional environment. Second, it delivered valuable vocational training for inmates, offering them both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in renewable energy technology. Furthermore, the program encouraged inmate participation, fostering teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving skills that are essential for personal development. In conclusion, although technical barriers remain, this initiative succeeded in establishing the foundation for sustainable waste management and renewable energy application within a correctional facility. More importantly, it highlights the potential of biogas technology not only as an environmental solution but also as a rehabilitative vocational training tool. Continued monitoring, process optimization, and technical refinements are essential for achieving long-term success and scalability of this model in similar institutional contexts.
