In adulthood, cognitive development shows a shift from purely logical thinking to more reflective and pragmatic thinking, which adapts to real-life challenges. This research concludes that understanding the characteristics of cognitive, social and moral development in adolescence and adulthood is very important in supporting optimal individual development. The results of this research can be a reference for educators, counselors and parents in providing guidance and support in accordance with individual development needs at each stage of life.

This Abstract Outlines The Historical Role Of The Christian Church In Governance, Especially In The Western World. From Its Early Development, The Church Wielded Considerable Influence Over Social And Political Affairs, Particularly After Christianity Became The Official Religion Of The Roman Empire In The 4th Century. Beyond Its Religious Duties, The Church Served As A Powerful Social, Moral, And Legal Authority In Medieval Europe. Through Canon Law, It Governed Various Facets Of Societal Life, Including Marriage, Inheritance, And Social Norms, And Validated The Power Of Rulers Through The “Divine Right” Doctrine. However, The Protestant Reformation Of The 16th Century Marked A Major Shift, Promoting A Separation Of Church And State That Influenced The Rise Of Secular Governance Systems. The Protestant Church Championed Religious Freedom And Individual Autonomy, Foundations For Modern Pluralism And Democracy. In The Contemporary Era, While The Church’s Formal Governance Role Has Declined, It Remains A Moral Voice, Particularly On Social Issues, Justice, And Human Rights. This Study Concludes That The Church's Role In Governance Has Evolved From A Political And Legal Authority To A More Inclusive Moral And Social Role In A Progressively Secular Society.

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education in character development within the family, focusing on strategies for fostering faith, worship, and ethics in the face of the challenges of globalization and digitalization. The family, as the primary educational institution, plays a crucial role in shaping the character of children, encompassing spiritual, moral, and social development. In the modern era, external influences through social media and globalization present significant challenges to family education, particularly in maintaining faith, practicing worship, and developing noble ethics. This research employs a qualitative approach, using literature review and in-depth interviews with parents and Islamic educators. The findings indicate that the strategy for fostering faith is carried out through the teaching of religious values, such as discipline in worship, and strengthening the relationship with Allah SWT. Worship development is emphasized through the practice of congregational prayer and voluntary worship, while the formation of ethics is achieved through role modeling, positive communication, and the habitual practice of good behavior in daily life. However, families face considerable challenges in implementing these educational strategies, including the influence of foreign cultures, the misuse of technology, and the busyness of parents. Nonetheless, with the wise use of technology and consistent family-based education, the goals of character education based on faith, worship, and ethics can be achieved. This study provides recommendations for parents and educators to continue strengthening the role of the family in educating children by emphasizing the importance of Islamic values in everyday life and utilizing technology to support positive educational processes

There are many opportunities within Islamic economics to establish a new financial system, such as reporting and recording based on Sharia and utilizing more optimal technology. The application of this new Sharia financial system plays an important role in strengthening the principles of Islamic economics, including the prohibition of usury (riba), uncertainty (gharar), unjust distribution of wealth, and investments that harm the community. Investment in Islamic economics is a means of placing funds with the aim of generating profit, while adhering to the principles of Islamic economics, making it a permissible activity that avoids elements of usury, gambling (maysir), and uncertainty (gharar). The implementation of these principles of Islamic economics will ultimately benefit the community and prevent any harm. This research examines the transformation of educational sociological thinking in Islam, with a focus on the contributions of classical scholars such as Al-Ghazali, Ibn Khaldun, and Al-Farabi. These three figures integrate education with social, moral and spiritual values, creating a holistic approach that not only emphasizes intellectual development, but also character formation. Al-Ghazali emphasized the importance of balanced education between worldly and ukhrawi knowledge, while Ibn Khaldun, through al-umran theory, viewed education as a tool to maintain social cohesion and build a just civilization. Al-Farabi, with his thoughts about the ideal society, emphasized the role of education in creating virtuous individuals. The research method used is a literature review with a qualitative-descriptive approach to analyze the relevance of these thoughts in facing contemporary educational challenges. The results show that even though they come from different historical contexts, their thoughts remain relevant, especially in responding to today's educational challenges which prioritize a balance between science, morality and spirituality. Thus, the contribution of sociological thought to education in Islam has had a significant impact on the social structure and development of Muslim education to date.
